The 'Real' Fed Dot Plot

Tyler Durden's picture

In the next FOMC projection slide deck, Janet Yellen should just show the following "dots" chart. It may well be the first time in history that the Fed has actually made an accurate forecast.

All bonds are junk bonds now.  Just a matter of time.

Ok.... how does one do QE AND raise rates?

That will be the next regime.

How will gold and dollar rise together?

Should be interesting.

Ok.... how does one do QE AND raise rates?

I've wanted someone to explain this to me as well, but more why it wouldn't work.  I would think if the FED raises rates while also buying a high enough portion of treasuries it would actually decrease the deficit in theory because interest payments on bonds the FED holds are returned to the Treasury.  If it worked you'd have a stronger dollar as well as more of them staying home in .gov bonds.  Very much a robbing Peter to pay Paul scenario, but that rather sums up our whole economy.

I'd love for someone with more understanding to explain it to me :-)

at "decrease the deficit in theory",
there one fascinating phrase.
it all depends on your definition of
the words "decrease, deficit and theory".
.
then there is the word "stealing",
it all depends on your definition.
.
that is all the understanding i can offer
at the moment. :-(
.
some will argue stealing, plotting and
murder are economically beneficial or even
essential, these be the power ghouls on
parade.

Isn't that where negative interest rates kick in?  Once Gubbermint.com bonds are at -7.5% for twenty years or so, all the debt would be history, wouldn't it?

Follow the dots:

"Dot, dot, dot, guillotine."

The banksters need to repay us.

You will ALWAYS have soup, if you add a bowl of water to the contents every time you extract a bowl of soup.
