After The Fed Crushed The Middle Class, It Is Targeting The American Family

Tyler Durden's picture

On a number of occasions this month we’ve drawn attention to the divergent fates of the 80% of American workers whose wages are declining and whose general outlook is concomitantly deteriorating, and the other 20%, whose pay is increasing and who generally feel good about their economic future. We also pointed out that with the correlation between wages and consumer spending now nearly perfect at 0.93, depressed wage growth may indeed drag on US economic output going forward. Given this, we weren’t surprised to learn that the biggest threat to traditional American society is in fact class (i.e. income inequality). This is vividly illustrated in a new work by Robert Putnam (of “Bowling Alone” fame). One key observation: race matters far less than it did in decades past and class matters far more.

From The Economist

Among the educated elite the traditional family is thriving: fewer than 10% of births to female college graduates are outside marriage—a figure that is barely higher than it was in 1970. In 2007 among women with just a high-school education, by contrast, 65% of births were non-marital. Race makes a difference: only 2% of births to white college graduates are out-of-wedlock, compared with 80% among African-Americans with no more than a high-school education, but neither of these figures has changed much since the 1970s. However, the non-marital birth proportion among high-school-educated whites has quadrupled, to 50%, and the same figure for college-educated blacks has fallen by a third, to 25%. Thus the class divide is growing even as the racial gap is shrinking.

As it turns out, having a vast network of Ivy League educated lawyers, doctors, and financiers is extraordinarily helpful in a bind...

At every stage, educated families help their kids in ways that less educated ones do not or cannot. Whereas working-class families have friends who tend to know each other (because they live in the same neighbourhood), professional families have much wider circles. If a problem needs solving or a door needs opening, there is often a friend of a friend (a lawyer, a psychiatrist, an executive) who knows how to do it or whom to ask.

… and when your parents are alums and probably endowment donors, it boosts your chances of getting into college even when, by virtue of extreme intellectual laziness occasioned by a misbegotten sense of entitlement or simply because you’re not very bright, you cannot pass the eighth grade…

Stunningly, Mr Putnam finds that family background is a better predictor of whether or not a child will graduate from university than 8th-grade test scores. Kids in the richest quarter with low test scores are as likely to make it through college as kids in the poorest quarter with high scores (see chart).

Here’s Putnam summing it all up for MarketWatch

“The most important thing about the experience of being young and poor in America is that these kids are really isolated, and really don’t have close ties with anybody,” Putnam told MarketWatch. “They are completely clueless about the kinds of skills and savvy and connections needed to get ahead.”

*  *  *

The real slap in the face though, has to be the fact that while America's poor are imprisoned for petty drug offenses, the bread winners of the country's elite families can perpetrate multibillion dollar financial crimes and, thanks to the networking opportunities that come with belonging to the 1%, be virtually assured that no real punishment with ever be meted out even if said crimes inadvertently collapse the entire global financial system. As we put it in December, "the government is smart enough to realize that it is more lucrative to 'cooperate' with the world's biggest criminal syndicates than to wipe them out and cut off a major source of funding [and] when one is a criminal syndicate, the largest in world history, paying litigation kickbacks in the hundreds of billions to the government is just the cost of "doing business."

Of course this is perhaps all part and parcel of the Fed's implicit attempt to exacerbate inequality in America by equating the "wealth" part of the term "wealth effect" with financial assets. The result of this, despite Janet Yellen's best efforts at explaining to low income Americans that it's a good idea to have assets, is a growing divide between the rich and the poor and this divide is not only getting wider thanks to the central bank's efforts to inflate the value of the very types of assets that the poor are unlikely to own, but is in fact now destroying the American family.

 "I never said a word about Palestinians..."

Yes you have [de facto]... Because any time somebody comes on & posts a comment about the mathematically impossible impossible ratio of jews in:

- banking

- MSM

- political activism

- jurisprudence

You make it a point to 'ad hominem' attack that person as being a... What did you call them just the other day... a "Nazi"...

So by 'not saying' anything about Palestinians, you are, [combined with your body of work], saying something about Palestinians...

You're like one of those 9/11 trolls who actually think Bin Laden & Saddam Hussein were behind the whole thing...

~~~ANYWAY
We're talking about THE FED here...
ALL of them... EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ONE of the Fed chairs [since Bretton Woods was vacated & money counterfeitting essentially became the standard operating procedure], has been a jew... Can you refute that?... [Don't bother to nominate Volcker because he went on to Rothschilds payroll which makes him a crypto]...
UNFUCKINGPOSSIBLE! ~ & don't get me started on the list of US Treasury Secretaries during the same time period & the Goldman Sachs revolving door.
One of the nastiest things government ever did to destroy low income families was outbid working males.  A working male can bring home $35K per year but a single female with kids can get $63K if the male is absent.
I don't have the data, but if you run the model with race, controlling for SES, and the percentage of variation explained by race vanishes, or is greatly reduced to a non-significant level, race will turn out to be a spurious correlation and you will find that SES is the better explanation. SES is based on a formula that calculates income, education, and occupation.
I may have read the above wrong, but it sounds like they did this. They mentioned that the gap was getting worse for whites and better for blacks, and SES explained the change.
If a set of interacting principles is ["somehow"] created that tends toward evolution of matter and sentience and higher/complex forms, should any of the variant [nay random re complex systems] interactions be construed as deific sadism, or just the way things are with the material/phychological context we have on hand to work with?
Humans have their part to play in the evolution of sentience, to the extent they shirk that responsivility seem correlated with the sadism they unload on each other.  The smart antagonizing/abusing the dull [e.g.: because capitalism] is an example reflecting degeneration of human potential, as the smart themselves do not realized they are still working with the, unconscious, unevolved, self-centered, emotional nature of a mammal to justify the intellectual actions they take without a second thought.
I'm not seeing anything of that perfect interaction.  Western nations are ultra dedicated to destroying themselves by abandoning liberty as their organizing principle, pursuing fiscal and economic madness in pursuit of Utopian crap and financing it by theft by legislature, and enthusiastically embracing their dispossession by third world primitives, hostiles, and parasites.  This is the culmination of centuries of progress wherein we shitcan it all in the last 50 years.  If there's some kind of a Divine Plan in all of that, I be missin' it.
As for the brain, well, it's a marvel that we can just stand up, move, and talk, yes. As for organized, logical thought and a modicum of honesty, self awareness, curiosity, and discipline these strike me as qualities that infect a small percentage of the peeps. What occupies the public "mind" is pretty pathetic and the usual electoral majority is easily swayed by the simplest of lies and manipulations, no less evil for their simplicity.
No paragon I and no jet-fueled hater of the divine either. I just struggle to see what this Divine Ordering is all about. I'm thinking it's Ghost Busters without the happy ending.
The belief in a chosen race or tribe is due to an error in interpretation of the Scriptures- Galatians chapter 3, as well as many other scriptures makes it very clear that being chosen is due to faith- not due to being part of a tribe or blood or people.
You are misled. The meaning is clear- one promise- one seed (not seeds). That seed is Jesus Christ, and no other. There is no salvation, no chosen, outside of faith in Him alone.
You don't know the Bible. Here, for your review, is the proof- straight from the Bible:
As I stated, one can easily see you are wrong by reading Galatians chapter 3, however, here's a more comprehensive discussion:
In whom is God’s promise to Abraham fulfilled?
The Bible clearly states:“It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.” –Romans 9:6-8
ONE PROMISE- A CONDITIONAL PROMISE – TWO POSSIBLE OUTCOMES:
By way of review, what is the promise? Abraham was given the promise:
1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."  -Genesis 12:1-3
THIS is the promise God spoke to Abraham!
As discussed earlier, God would make another promise to Israel. Now, for a moment let’s take a look at that promise:
2 Chronicles 7:19-22 "But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 21And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ 22People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”
Deuteronomy 4:27 The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
Deuteronomy 28:64 Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods--gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.
Leviticus 26:33 I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.
Nehemiah 1:8 "Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations,
Psalm 44:11 You gave us up to be devoured like sheep and have scattered us among the nations.
Psalm 106:27 make their descendants fall among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
Isaiah 1:7 Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
Jeremiah 7:34 I will bring an end to the sounds of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem, for the land will become desolate.
Jeremiah 9:16 I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them.
Jeremiah 13:24 I will scatter you like chaff driven by the desert wind.
Jeremiah 15:4 I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 31:10 "Hear the word of the LORD, O nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands: 'He who scattered Israel will gather them and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.'
Ezekiel 5:2 When the days of your siege come to an end, burn a third of the hair with fire inside the city. Take a third and strike it with the sword all around the city. And scatter a third to the wind. For I will pursue them with drawn sword.
Ezekiel 12:15 "They will know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
Ezekiel 20:23 Also with uplifted hand I swore to them in the desert that I would disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries,
Ezekiel 22:5 I will disperse you among the nations and scatter you through the countries; and I will put an end to your uncleanness.
Amos 9:4 Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix my eyes upon them for evil and not for good."
Zechariah 7:14 I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left so desolate behind them that no one could come or go. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.'" Deuteronomy 4:27 The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you. Nehemiah 1:8 "Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, Ezekiel 23:27 So I will put a stop to the lewdness and prostitution you began in Egypt. You will not look on these things with longing or remember Egypt anymore. Ezekiel 23:48 "So I will put an end to lewdness in the land, that all women may take warning and not imitate you. Ezekiel 24:11 Then set the empty pot on the coals till it becomes hot and its copper glows so its impurities may be melted and its deposit burned away.  Yes, this, too was a promise- that if Israel forsook their God, their God would do likewise to them- as a nation.  This means that as individuals, those who place their faith in God will be saved, just like the gentiles! It is by Faith that all individuals are saved, not by blood or anything else, because Jesus paid in blood as a ransom for all who put faith in Him. So what was the result of Israel’s infidelity towards God?
18So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah was left, 19and even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God. They followed the practices Israel had introduced. 20Therefore the Lord rejected all the people of Israel; he afflicted them and gave them into the hands of plunderers, until he thrust them from his presence.  21When he tore Israel away from the house of David, they made Jeroboam son of Nebat their king. Jeroboam enticed Israel away from following the Lord and caused them to commit a great sin. 22The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from them 23until the Lord removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.  – 2 Kings 17:18-23
1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord told him” “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.”
Ezekiel 36:19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.
Judges 2:14 In his anger against Israel the LORD handed them over to raiders who plundered them. He sold them to their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.
2 Kings 15:29 In the time of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh and Hazor. He took Gilead and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and deported the people to Assyria.
Psalm 53:5 There they were, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.
Jeremiah 15:1 Then the LORD said to me: "Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go!
God fulfilled His conditional promise. Repeatedly, God kept the nation of Israel reminded of their covenant with Him, yet they consistently broke this covenant, like a cheating wife. God first scattered the northern ten tribe kingdom of Israel, using the Assyrians. Shortly thereafter, God used the Babylonians to scatter the southern kingdom, Judah.  Years later, their ancestors in Jerusalem under Roman domination pleaded, regarding their role in the execution of the Messiah:
“When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.” –Matthew 27:25
The nation of Israel was no more. First they rejected God as their King, and repeatedly rejected Him as their God. In return God scattered the descendants of Jacob aka Israel. God had already planned a New Covenant to replace the Old Covenant.
THE NEW COVENANT
We discussed earlier that God instituted a new covenant. Here we will examine the Scriptural record.
"The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. -Jeremiah 31:31
Here we see that it was God’s plan all along to institute this new covenant. The Old Covenant prefigured the New in every way except one- the New Covenant would last forever! And it was made available for anyone, “Jew” or Gentile, to part of Israel through faith, just as it all started, with Abraham, the “father of faith”.
Christ clarified who is the seed of the promise and institutes the new covenant: “For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace, in order that the promise may be certain to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, as it is written, "A father of many nations have I made you" – Romans 4:16-17
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.” - Galatians 3:29
Note- The Bible books of Romans and Galatians were written to the Gentiles, Romans in Rome and Gauls in Galatia. Here they are told that they are Abraham’s offspring. The only way that could be is because Abraham’s offspring are not counted by blood, but rather by faith.
And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise - Galatians 4:28 Here these same Gauls are called brothers, like Isaac, and children of the promise. Clearly the promise was never inherited by blood but rather through faith alone.
“Sarah received ability to conceive...since she considered Him faithful who had promised; therefore, also, there was born of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.” – Hebrews 11:11-12.
Who are these “descendants” in huge numbers? The latest estimate (2012) according to Jewish World www.jpeople.com is 13,746,100. Of these, as established earlier, only 5% , or 637, 305 descend from Jacob aka Israel. Neither of these numbers could possibly be interpreted as fulfilling the promise!
This New Covenant based on faith in Jesus Christ replaced the Old Covenant:
The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven - Hebrews 8:1
But God found fault with the people and said : "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. -Hebrews 8:8
By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. -Hebrews 8:13
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. -Hebrews 9:15
[ The Parable of the Weeds ] Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. -Matthew 13:24; He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. - Matthew 13:37; The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, - Matthew 13:38
Here Jesus makes clear that the sons of the kingdom are “good seed” by virtue of faith, by contrast, the weeds are the sons of the evil one, by virtue of lack of faith. Bloodline has no bearing on determining who are wheat and weeds- only faith!
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. - Galatians 3:16
Did you read that? The prophetic “seed” of Abraham is none other than Jesus Christ- it is only by putting faith in Him that we become inheritors of the promise.
What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. - Galatians 3:19. Indeed, the law (the old mosaic law covenant) was given to Israel “because of transgressions (sin) until Jesus would institute the New Covenant!
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. - Luke 22:20; In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." – 1 Corinthians 11:25. Christ commanded that we remember him by partaking of the cup of the new covenant, which symbolizes His blood poured out on behalf of us, along with the bread symbolizing his body.
1Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 5Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! 12Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. -2 Corinthians 3:1-18.             So, all those, no matter what ethnicity, whether Jew or Gentile, by putting faith in Jesus Christ, “are a letter from Christ … written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts … ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter [the old mosaic law] but of the Spirit [the new covenant]; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. In fact, “since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away[We are to let our light shine, reflecting God’s glory]. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read [the veil refers to the curtain between the Holy and Most Holy of the old covenant temple, the place where God’s presence is]. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” Since we are bold, and because only in Christ is the veil taken away, that is, we are in god’s presence as if in His Holy of Holies, we do not fear Jew or Gentile and speak the truth. The truth is that there is no salvation for Jew nor Gentile until they accept Jesus Christ as their redeemer!
The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire." – Luke 3:9. That is true for both Jew and Gentile.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 “Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; 9 and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham. 10 “The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.–Matthew 3:7-10, John the Baptist. The Jewish leaders were warned by John the Baptist that they were not “special”, that is, God could make children of Abraham out of stones. He preached repentance publicly symbolized by full water immersion (Baptism), in anticipation of entering into the New Covenant as born again children of God.
"And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree." - Romans 11:17. Both natural branches (descendants of Jacob) and wild branches (Gentiles) would be grafted into the olive tree(symbolizing the Holy Spirit initiated New Covenant through Jesus Christ).
I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: 3“Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”a? 4And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”b 5So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.c 7What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened, 8as it is written:
“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes so that they could not see
and ears so that they could not hear,
to this very day.”d
9And David says:
“May their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
10May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.”
"Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
13I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry 14in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
25I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
28As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all. Romans 11:1-32.
It is made clear in the above chapter of Romans that under the New Covenant, a remnant of both descendants of Jacob and a remnant of Gentiles would be grafted into the “olive tree” of salvation. This “olive tree” under the New Covenant is spiritual Israel, those Jews and Gentiles saved by grace. Who is the “root of this olive tree”? None other than Jesus Christ, who is the only way any human can be saved. This free gift is available to every human.
“I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it in the Holy Spirit— I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.
It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
Not only that, but Rebekah’s children had one and the same father, our father Isaac. Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?” But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? As he says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” and, “It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant will be saved. For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”  It is just as Isaiah said previously: “Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.”
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the “stumbling stone.” As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” -Romans 9:1-33
Yes, the Israelite nation stumbled on the stone in Mount Zion- Jesus Christ: “When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.” - Matthew 27:25
The ancient kingdom of Israel abandoned God, while a remnant put faith in Him and became Christians, God invited Gentiles to do likewise, and a remnant of these became Christians, until Christ returns. While the ancient kingdom of Israel is no more, there is a spiritual Israel, a “nation” of Jews and Gentiles alike from around the globe, putting faith in God and known by Him. This is the “Israel” of the New Covenant!
The modern secular nation of Israel is not the Biblical nation of Israel
It has been established historically that only 5% of this nations “Jewish” population descend from Jacob aka Israel. It has been established that the ancient nation of Israel is no more. Now ponder this: If a modern day Garden of Eden were created in the area of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers would this be the Biblical “Garden of Eden?” Of course not, no more than the modern day nation of Israel has anything in common with the Biblical Israel, other than its geographical location.
Who was behind the establishment of the modern nation of Israel?
The modern day nation of Israel is a political, secular construct, that, other than its location, has nothing to do with the Biblical nation of Israel. This modern nation was founded by means of the Balfour declaration, at the behest of Walter Rothschild, notorious for using the power of money and usury for unjust profit. (Include more about US getting into WW1 and 2, and more on the Balfour doc)
Does the modern nation of Israel worship God? Which God?
The modern day nation of Israel uses as their symbol, their flag, the six pointed star, the symbol of Remphan (also translated as Repham, Rephan, Chiun, Moloch, Saturn), the Seal of Solomon the Apostate. (Acts 7:43, Amos 5:26, 1 Kings 11:4-7) This is a symbol that originated in ancient Egypt, it is two pyramids- one points to the heavens and the other to the underworld. It has six sides to its interior, six pyramids laid on its interior, and six angles.
This six pointed star http://rr-bb.com/archive/index.php/t-10958.html was brought to the Jewish people by Solomon after his marriage to the daughter of Pharaoh in 922 BC. It became known as the Seal of Solomon in Egyptian witchcraft and occultism. Against Gods instructions, Solomon took 700 wives and 300 concubines, Egyptians, Moabites, Ammonites, Sidonians and Hittites. (1 Kings 11:1) He was warned by God that if he did so he would turn away and worship the false gods of his wives. This he did. (1 Kings 11:2-4) Solomon gave himself up to worshipping “Ashtoreth the God of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites.”(1 Kings 11:5). “…Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. He did the same for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods.” (1 Kings 11:7-8) These sacrifices included human sacrifice, orgies, prostitution, drunkenness, homosexuality, and other vile practices. God swore He would take all but one tribe from the rulership of Solomon’s son, Reheboam(1 Kings 1:13). This one tribe was the tribe of Judah, from which we get “Judaism” and “Jew”.
The hexagram faded from Jewish usage (except among Jewish occultists- Kabbalists) for 2,600 years. It reappeared in approximately 1800 in Germany, it was adopted by Mayer Amschel Rothschild as his family coat of arms. The “Red Shield” (Rothshild) familly’s banking and financial empire is the only recorded use of the symbol until 1873, when the six pointed star was also adopted by the Jewish Publication Society.
Who, or what, is Biblical Israel?
Who are the promises made to?
It is time for many Christians to become un-confused, as they are Israel, not the modern day nation of Israel that has nothing to do with the new covenant or current events that are the fulfillment of prophecy.
There's lots more proof too. Wanna discuss genetics? Language? History? Current events? Palestinian link to Jacob? US $ support of Israel? Zionist links to banking (history from Babylon, money changers, Florence, Rome, Rothschilds), media, entertainment, etc?
They all point to the fact that there is only one way, one faith, one life- through faith in Jesus Christ- no other way.
Paul specifically preached to Jews and Gentiles.  Paul made it clear background made no difference: There is neither Jew or Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:28-29.  Many Jews have been saved and many more will be saved and God will rescue Israel when Russia, Iran and other attack - Ezekial 39
You don't understand what Israel is. It has numerous meanings.
The modern nation "Israel" has no realtionship to Biblical Israel other than the land it is perched on- conquered by Great Britain as the Levant, deeded uthrough the Balfour Declaration to Walter Rothschild, usurious schemer, Worshipper of Mammon, not Christ.
The Israel that was promised to Abraham is Spiritual Israel, purchased by Christ's shed blood, and comprised of both "jew" and gentile.
Paul spends entire chapters explaining that God has not abandoned Israel or its people. (see e.g. Romans 10 and 11) "I ask then: Did God reject His people [Israel]? By no means."   "Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved.."  "As far as the gospel is concerned they are enemies on your account (they were persecuting Christians) but as far as election is concerned, they are loved..." Chapter 11.  During the great tribulation period God will raise up 144000 jews as Christ believing witnesses as explained in Revelation 14.
You don't understand what Israel is, as I explained above. You confuse the modern day pretend usurper nation of "Israel" with Spritual Israel.
You also don't understand that the 144,000 are figurative- compare the Old Testament with Revelation and you will fin that the tribes are not the same.
Revelation is a book of figurative prophecy, just like Daniel- or do you really expect a seven headed beast with ten horns to emerge from the sea with a whore on it's back?
You need a lot more time studying- to overturn strongly entrenched misinterpretations.
I believe that is also a misinterpretation. Why? The primary clues as to the identity of Babylon the Great are that the merchants of the earth and the "ships" (transportation industry) would beat themselves in lamentation whe she is destroyed. But most importantly, it is this clue: "By her magic spell (sorcery) all the nations were decieved". (Revelation 18:23) What greater magic spell is there than fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, and all forms of financial wizardry? Since those are the primary clues as the the identity of Babylon the Great, I believe that Babylon the Great is:-The Global Financial Elite and their Babylonian Financial System, the Worship of Mammon.
I mean that if the modern day nation of Israel were destroyed, it wouldn't amount to more than a blip as far as transportation, international banking and mercantilism. Or would it? It is true that the zionist entity has captured a large percentage of control of the world's financial power.
I will read the link you referred to in depth to determine if there is anything more to it. It is worth pursuing- thanks for the link.
It is so much more important for you that you are chosen.
You may have been called.
For many are called but few are chosen.
Not everyone who declares Lord, Lord, will see the kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew 7:21-23  New International Version (NIV)
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
You are not Jesus Christ or God Almighty.
He chooses you. The choice does not belong to you. You are either invited, or ,not.
Are you chosen? Have you intentionally sinned after receiving the gift?
Yes.
Even to my own personal damnation and condemnation I will affirm it and will continue to do so..
It is not about me. Perhaps you can avoid my fate.
I can prove, empirically, the existence of the Creator. I can also demonstrate the archaeological accuracy of the text. Entire ancient civilizations were unearthed because of it.
I have studied it for most of my life. I can tell you that what is traditionally understood and what is true are, at times, diametrically opposed.
For instance most of the Old Testament was quilled during the Babylonian captivity and thus it incorporates some Babylonian stories within it.
Yes it has mistakes. Some are due to different texts being interwoven within.
The Pentatuch had two different sources,the Judah source and the Israel source as they were at battle with one another during the reign of the Israeli and Judean Kings.
But it is quite real.
But out of all of the faiths it is the one which makes sense.
For your consideration.
Let's suppose that Christ Jesus was just a deluded soul.
Isn't it remarkable that one man has had so much influence upon the development of civilization over the past 2000 years?
One might consider that odd. The odds of that happening by chance are rather slim. How many nuts have walked the Earth, died, and left no real impact whatsoever?
Would you venture that most of them did, in not all?
That event is rather a miraculous testimony standing by itself...for a "lunatic" claiming to be the Son of God.
Have you heard of the black conspiracy to turn america into one gigantic playground i.e. to distract white middle class Americans away from actual productive activities? Have you ever noticed that wherever there are black people there are professional sports teams almost entorely comprised of black players? Check this: how much physics could be learned over the course of an hour and forty five minutes, the television time of an average basketball game? How many refrigerators could be built over the course of an entire season (82 games not including playoffs)?... Simply put, the dumbing down of america, the widespread inability to acquire a 1913 8th grade education level, is the product of an afro-american plot designed to strip whitey of his intellect and enslave him to the master Hamitic races. This is facilitated by mass marketing of sporting events and athletic competitions. Look no further than your local hood. Would u walk around there at night by yourself? Of course not... The sons of Ham have u in a corner. You will either subsidize them as your role models and entertainment or you will get mugged for your bling. I think the highest levels of psyops are involved in this Nubian subjugation cabal, if not extraterrestrial lifeforms.
For many are called but few are chosen.
ARE YOU CHOSEN, shovelhead?
Have you sinned after gaining salvation?
Hebrews 10:26-29New International Version (NIV)
26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
If so then you are a MURDERER. You crucify Christ again. Have you sinned after receiving the gift?
Hebrews 6:4-6New International Version (NIV)
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen[a] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
You deceive yourself.
Then you are audaciuos enough to call me an narcissist when I declare that I AM NOT CHOSEN?
I am only worthy of hatred and damnation as I have crucified Christ. There is NO GRACE for me. I am not entitled to it. I do not expect it.
Judgment Day is going to be very surprising and shocking for you. Your personalpride and arrogance will speak volumes toward your condemnation. You will be asked to give an accounting of your idle words.
Are you prepared to meet your Maker?
I suspect, though, that your panties get in a bunch whenever someone suggests that dropping flechette shells and white phosphorus on hospitals and schools is a war crime even when the Jewish State does it.    From what I've read, what you'd loudly denounce if an ARAB OR MUSLIM country did it, you'd deny, distract, then make apologies for if Israel did it.
Which makes you a cunt, even if you aren't a nazi cunt in particular.
This war, on American families, is nearly 50 years old.
"In 1969, Reagan, as Governor, signed the Family Law Act, an amalgam of two bills which had been written and revised by the California state legislature for over two years[93] and became the first no-fault divorce legislation in the United States.[94]"
Reagan later said it was one of the worst decisions(the other being abortion) of his political career. Darn right, he was conned by the Bolsheviks, who intend to replace fathers with the welfare state.
As any of our richest families will tell you, family is the source and maintenance of real wealth.
It isn't so much that TPTB dislike babies, so much as that if a population can be persuaded that the best lifestyle is individual, they can easily be kept poor, relatively ignorant, narrowly focused (on individual survival or prosperity), and weak. But however entertaining MSM shows such as Friends may be, that single swingin' lifestyle really does not lead anywhere. Such a lifestyle is a natural, short stage of being young, but it should not be idealised.
For example, if a person dies wealthy, and cannot leave their wealth safe in the hands of family to carry it on and grow it, where does that wealth wind up? In the hands of the state, of course. But it takes generations (educated and trained) to build a real, solid base of wealth.
As for individual prosperity, again, look at the 'connected' people and you will see that many of their connexions begin and carry on thru family. This is also something that many immigrant families understand very well.
There is a good reason that the richest and most powerful families in the world prioritise children, and groom them for inheritance and succession.
A country that devalues family is a country that is likely to evolve a very powerful state.
<< There is a good reason that the richest and most powerful families in the world ... put their wealth into Trusts so their kids cannot squander the principal in one generation >>
I worked part-time in college for a law firm that specialized in this stuff. Uber wealthy create a Trust and put all the dough in it, and one the kids cannot break; they can withdraw against the trust a fair amount but cannot make a real dent in the principal.
The other thing they do is buy a Mega-Life Insurance Policy [I'm talking millions]. True, the premium is massive but the wealth is tax free to the benefactors.
This was a few years ago and I'm not sure the law has changed about the above, but Renfield is right about family and creation/transfer of wealth.
Amen Brother.  It started when the state let women know it could replace the men in their lives.
Once the sexuality and hypergamous nature of women was unleashed with no accountability or shame, everything began to turn to shit.
The graphs at the top show it in blue and white.  I see it too out in the meat world.
There are an entire class of crimes related to females -- such as Assault on a female (worse than assault I guess) and all it takes to get a man arrested and his firearms seized is an ACCUSATION of such, without any proof.
If the man in question has sufficent resources, he can spend thousands on an attorney to prove his innocence.  He still usually waits about a year to get his guns back if innocent, the lying bitch gets no punishment for false charges.
I see it frequently here in poorsville. Psycho/BPD/drugged up women get mad, then call the cops -- "he hit me" just to get back at a man for any perceived slight.
If you don't mind, I'll riff off your comment.
<<It started when the state let women know it could replace the men in their lives.>>
The state has let us know that it can replace:
1) fathers
2) mothers
3) teachers, cops, road-layers, hospital and medical workers
4) currency/scrip issuance
6) religion/charity work
Make your government the legal provider of any or all of these 'services', and then wonder why your population is indoctrinated, dependent, and discouraged, and your government bloated.
To the degree the government's bloated bureaucracies fall apart, we will become a less infantilised and wiser population.
And yes, our 'default' thinking should be MIStrust of government, not trust in it. (As it should be for anyone other than blood.) Trust must be earned, and can always be lost again; people today seem to think a 'default' trusting attitude is a GOOD thing!
I get your point, and agree that there is a war on males going on. As there is a war against other strong or productive groups these days - they threaten the state, which relies on dependents to continue to grow. A predatory state will often make war on its strongest homogeneous cultures, in the guise of protecting the weak from them.
Using Family Law and Gender Equality to tax at the bell curve. States like NH that have no income tax are more likely to adopt such tax schemes. The state gets a HUGE fine and the woman gets to sue. Even with an attorney and win the loss of time and money is large. And if you sued for sexual harrassment in NH it is a panel of three woman that decide if your guilt and the fine is $10,000. I have met women that make a career of doing this. In states like NH if you own a business mirror the states sexual harrassment policy in your employee handbook and any employee that insinuates sex at all write them up a simple warning, have the employee sign it and just tell them its precautionary.
All of this sucks of course but if you don't want to get raped you better be on guard and prepared. Even if you think you have an obvious open and shut case hire that attorney, pr you may learn the very expensive way what activist judges are (like I did). Plus the state interviews all your employees which then goof off thinking they have you over a barrel. By the way NH went bankrupt in 2011. That is the end result of such tax policies it drives the productive away very fast. What happened in NH is happening on a national scale.
Pensions for police and firefighters were cut and a portion of the nasty dyke beaurocrats lost there jobs (YAY).
As for marriage, avoid the state contract and get a vasectomy. Find a woman that doesnt want kids. Who wants to raise one here anyways in what is becoming Mexico 2.0?
I'm sort of puzzled why on earth anyone would believe that American history shows class division since the place was first settled, not to mention slavery, then post-slavery.  Slavery itself was an economic enterprise, not a racial one.  Why on earth would people think differently?  Of course race never was a factor.  It just happened that blacks tended to be the poor underclass and the rest of the population is now being pushed down to their level from the fat asses of the parasite classes above them.
Racisims is a social control mechanism of the elite and used to wield the stupid and ignorant like a sledgehammer.
Check out the first rebellion in the original 13 colonies against The Crown, Bacon's Rebellion in Viginia in 1676. There were no slaves at the time. Instead, all the heavy lifting was done by indentured servents, both black and white.
When the crown restored order the first thing they did was designate Blacks as slaves because TPTB was alarmed at the prospect of a united under class.
The rebellion had its own version of chemical warfare. When a company of British troops arrived to support the govenor, the colonist fed them a welcoming meal spiked with jimson weed. They all went loopy and became totally useless for days.
Final point - What were they fighting over? The bi-racial under class rose up when Govenor Berkely put a ban on raiding, robbing and murdering the local indians!!
If it isn't bad enough that American guberno-corporatic conglomerate invented the model and guinea pigged us, they exported the damn thing world-over. There are two forces at play that form an interesting dynamic: 1) A gamut of pressures require both husband and wife (lol at those words today?) to work, so the child is raised without parents, a destructive force upon the family unit. 2) The child cannot find employment upon reaching adulthood, so it is required to stay with the parents as a nuclear family for sustenance, a positive force upon the family unit, albeit sourced from a destructive force upon the individual, i.e. the child (it 'grew up,' but can't anything useful or meaningful).
Though everything is advertised to be chugging along fine at the moment, the societal effects of the familial pscychological and emotional stresses caused by the frictions between 1) and 2) will be quite visible within the next decade.
Can't say the same about too many others.  The rent is TOO DAMN HIGH.  All by design of course.  Even some of the recent college grads I know making the median U.S. salary are back at home.
And they're, get this,....HAPPY about it.
And owning is suicidal.  Opportunity costs a lot when opportunity isn't taken.  If you're 18-29 you'd better be ready to pack it all up and move for that better job, or just *A* job as the case is likely to be.
It seems that just about every big institution and organization in this society is part of a fascist system waging war against the population.
They create 'foods' and environmental pollutants that make the people sick. They create a 'medical' system that makes people even sicker, while stealing their money and impoverishing them (individually & as a whole society) - All the while 'treating' them from the harm which they are largely responsible for . They create an 'education' system which dumbs people down, robbing their capacity to understand what's being done to them. They create a media which diverts people's attention with base, mindless 'entertainment', & constantly lies to them. They create a financial and fiat 'money' system which has stolen 98% of their dollar's purchasing power over the last century.
Someone like Rumsfeld was the head of a corporation making a neuro toxin to put into 'foods' and later is a major functionary in the military industrial complex.
This Is the damned Fourth Reich.
Funny how kids complete high school without ever learning basic first aid skills, CPR, planting a garden or how to cook.  There is no reason why students should not know how to build a wind/water-powered electrical generator from stuff found in the junk yard.
There is no reason why students should not know how to build a wind/water-powered electrical generator from stuff found in the junk yard.
Yes there is a reason and it has EVERYTHING TO DO...with YOU.
If you are a parent then it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN.
Now you may not know how to do it because YOU WERE NOT TAUGHT BY YOUR PARENTS. And I am really sorry that YOUR PARENTS did not take a more proactive role in YOUR LIFE.
But to expect that the Public Schools will teach this type of knowledge to your children, to believe that somehow YOU ARE ENTITLED to have your children taught something useful will only lead to disillusionment...at the very best.
And YOU...YOU somehow think that YOU ARE ENTITLED to shove off YOUR RESPONSIBILITY onto COMPLETE STRANGERS working FOR THE GOVERNMENT? Because youi "Pay for it"?
Well you are getting what you are paying for. Are you satisfied? No?
THEN YOU TEACH YOUR CHILDREN.
And if you do not know how to do it? Then it is even better as you can EXPLORE how to do it with your children. It will be a bonding and nuturing experience.
Now you can give me all of the fucking excuses in the world...You are too tired, you do not know how, etc. But YOUR CHILDREN come before YOU. That is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as a parent.
LOSE YOUR ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY, LIBERAL.
Homeschooling is the best. I am sorry that you will have to make a sacrifice. You needed to think about that...BEFORE YOU FUCKED.
Or you can use the same time writing on Zerohedge, WHINING, about how poorly the Public Schools do. I am sure that teachesyour kids that you are there to ignore their needs and that WHINING is somehow valuable.
It is YOUR CHOICE. But you'd rather whine, bitch.
Then endow your own with an advantage.
Rather than writing on ZH, to a bunch of strangers, you can be learning and exploring with your children.
(My responsibility for that has ended as they are grown and gone.)
If you have kids and you are wasting time here whining about this rather than interacting with your kids...then you are rather a self centered, neglectful parent.
(If yours are grown and gone then you are done with your job. So you can disregard this as it is too late to do anything about it at this point..)
Now, more often than not, the public schoolteacher did not come around and fuck your wife, knocking her up, while you were at work.
You knocked up your wife and you are responsible for your children. I did not fuck her and I am not going to pay for it if I can avoid it.
The state is not doing it's job? What in the hell else is new? Just what does the state actually provide?
THEY EXIST TO STEAL FROM YOU...IN ALL FACETS OF LIFE. Why should you expect any different when it addresses education? And it is only the STATIST WITH AN ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY that expects the state to provide.
So sorry that your Government has failed your expectations once again.
Guess what? They do not give a damn. If anyone is going to give a damn about your children then it had better be you.
THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. You created them??? You take care of them.
If that experience is of most American families, that's pretty sad. My husband and I both work, I work from home, he's in construction. started making life changes a few years ago. It's taking a lot of work. we moved to a farm, I've started gardening, raising our own meat rabbits, and getting the kids involved. it's the most amazing feeling to actually take control of your life. I'm convinced raising most of your own food is the most revolutionary thing you can do. I'm learning a ton from Joel Salatin and it make me happy :-)
The biggest lesson I had to learn was its not all or nothing. I smuggled a few hens and put in a decent raised bed garden in my tiny backyard when we were trying to sell out house in 2010. It took 3 years so instead of feeling stuck and wasting time - I got 3 growing season's worth of experience! Keep in mind I grew up doing this stuff and still had a learning curve. now I'm learning rabbits are easier then chickens. Ducks are freaking the best entertainment / egg system around and chickens CAN run around during the day and not get eaten. Start small. Don't be surprised if you find learning/doing one thing( rabbits) leads to other interests ( raising red worms in the manure, which is great food for chickens and gardens, which will benefit from bee pollination, which means you need to research hives, then different bee species, then learn honey in the comb is the most amazing thing you have ever tasted and want to learn how to make things out of beeswax ... And I can literally keep going. Learning hands on is so invigorating. There is no time for TV or stupidness. I feel like I've finally hit what it means to be alive.
A couple of days ago Yahoo had Gallup Poll results of which countries in the world had the happiest people.  The winners?  Latin America.
They have their problems and pverty, but they also have their families. When I used to live in LA, most cars on the freeway had only the driver, cross the border and most cars have two or more people inside.
Tells you something, doesn't it?
When they have parties in Latin America, kids, old people, everyone is welcome.  In North America children are put aside so adults can get drunk or high.
I would rather be poor and happy than have a new car, mcmansion and credit cards.  I have experienced both so I know of what I speak.
Latin America is a fucking shithole. With cleaned up areas for Northeners to go and spend money. It's gott great natural resources and beautiful weather, so I conclude what makes it a shithole, like modern day Detroit, is the people.
And we get get them here fast enough. I'm sure it's raising the average.
There's a big difference between schooling and education.
When my kids were at school I told them that they pretty much had to go to school, given I have to work for a living, but when they got home I'd do my best to educate them.
As for crappy food - maybe once a month out of desperation, but I mostly cook from scratch.
They are now 20 & 21, have a realistic view of the world and better educated than most.
Both of them avoid crappy food like the plague and are physically fit.
Producing another human being is the biggest responsibility you can take on, IMHO, and I've always tried to live up to that.
A stay at home parent was the norm for most families before the late 1970's.  The very poor may have had Mom working to make more for the family and the ultra rich had kids raised by hired help but it was the NORM for a parent - or grandparent or other close family - to raise children.
Now it's a rarity - and few question whether or not that's good for our children. Even fewer ask WHY this happened.
Femisnism came along at a very convenient time.  I'm all for women working and making equal pay for equal work BUT things turned out a little differently. You have lots of women working - though still at unequal salaries.  In the mean time women gave up the very real power and influence they had in raising their own children.
Feminism gets blamed for the destruction of family and increase in working Moms but it's not why women entered the workforce in droves in the late 70's.
Inflation in prices and stagnation of incomes KILLED the single earner family in the late 1970's.
I got out of college in 1979. 'Stagflation' was rampant - rising prices, stagnant economy and wages.  For the previous few decades a strong US economy saw the rise of a middle class centered on a father working and mother at home.  A family could buy a house, and car (or two) and have pretty much anything they wanted - including annual vacations - on that one income.
That changed in the late 1970's
The baby bomers were starting to buy houses and increased demand with limited supply led to rocketing prices.  Interest rates were insanely high - double digits for mortgages.  A house that sold for less than $100,000 in the late 60's was almost $200,000 in the late 1970's.
In that economy you had older mothers and wives going back to work  because they needed the money.  My mother had been a secretary in the late 1940's but stayed home with kids.  She went back to work in the 1970's because my father's job wasn't paying enough to keep up with price increases.  I was the only one of 3 to go to college - and worked while in school.  But our family was really stretched financially.  We weren't alone.  My aunts and neighbors' wives were also going back to work.
After graduation everyone I know was stretched financially - and student loans then wer only at 3%.   I got married shortly after graduating.  My wife was working and we both stayed working for the next 10 years - deliberately putting off having kids.  We were paying off loans and trying to save up enough to buy a house some day.  Other young marrieds  bought a condo or coop - bidding up prices with two incomes available for spending.  BUT when those same couples thought about having children they found they could not afford to have a parent quit and stay home with children.  Incomes increased enough to pay for child care but not enough for one income to support the family.   A friend and I worked weekends doing renovaition work to make extra money - and I was the highest paid in my engineering degree program at graduation.  Lots of college grads were working second jobs.  Meanwhile our working class parents with low interest rate mortgages (compared to then current double digit ones) or paid off houses  were STILL in bad shape - even with Mom going back to work.
Friends in places like California were putting up with 2 hour commutes and scrambling to buy something, ANYTHING because they felt like prices were continually going up - better to buy now than later.  You had the start of the buy. flip, move up, flip ad infinitum mentality
The late 1970's saw a transformation in American Society - not for the better.   and things have gotten worse since then
The Middle Class was transformed into two income families with children raised by child care centers or the cheapest (and untrained, often illegal immigrant) nannies you could find.  While the rich had good, trained nannies, the middle class had to settle for mass child care.  The 'upper' middle class hired nannies of better quality.  Some were very good - immigrants that were nurses or teachers back home.  They made more here taking care of our children while their own children were raised back home by grandparents or in boarding schools.  A side effect - the US took THOUSANDS of teachers and nurses from developing countries where they were needed badly to fill our child rearing positions.
As for the less qualified 'nannies'.... it's pretty funny seeing parents screaming about needing reading teachers for their 1st grader because they are never home to read to their own children and their nanny is Hispanic barely speaking English much less reading it.   The 'old' solution - having grandparents or other relatives look after children is rarely possible because extended families are a rarity these days.  People move all over - going where their job is, far from family.  Some poorer families manage the 'family' care option but many end up as latchkey kids who are on their own by the end of grammar school.  If some of the doctors and lawyers ever saw how their kids were behaving hanging out with the nanny waiting for their oldest sibling to finish their (Pricy) gymnastics class, they'd be horrified.  Some nannies just ignore the behavior of their wild and feral charges.  But then the kids are brats and complain if the nanny tries to discipline them.
I live in a relatively affluent burb.   Thereare huge advantages that come with living here. It's nothing like the blue collar neighborhood I grew up in.   Good schools, involved parents and the connections that came with being here. Most parents have college degrees and know the process.  If you're the first in tour family to go you can't imagine the difference that makes.   Need a summer job - you'll be able to find someone who can get you one.  Your college interviews will be with neighbors.  Odds are your parents will know someone who can help you get the internship you want and the job you'll get after college.
But despite the advantages that come with being here the outcome isn't very good.  My observations 15 years ago in nursery school still hold.  I thought then that the top 10% or so would go on to do amazing things.  They had every advantage and could take advantage fo rthe ediucation and exposure they got.  The bottom 15% were already in trouble - parents who paid no attention and despite all they had going, these kids were in trouble.  Mom and Dad migh get them out of the trouble they got in with the cops, get them into college and even get tehm a job but at some point when they were on their own, they were in trouble.  The middle 70-75% had parents that tried.  Some had two income families, some had a parent home, some had only one parent.  The parents worked hard but there are limits to what you can accomplishe when you're out of the house from 7 to 7.  If you had a good nanny things could work out fine.  If you had a parent home who was off playing tennis... not so fine.   And this is in a section of society that SHOULD be doing WELL.  No real concerns about paying bills.  More advantages that most others could dream of.  But the overall 'success' rate isn't that good.
You see a real dichotomy around Middle School.  Some parents wake up and realize their kids are in trouble so Mom quits her job and stays home starting in 7th grade or so.  But it's already too late to make any real changes in your kids.  The first few years form the fundamentals.  If you don't get that right it's very hard to change it later.   Then you have the other extreme - 'The kids are old enough now.  We can get divorced.'  Those parents are rarely seen thereafter except when called into school where they claim their 'angel' could not possibly have caused the trouble they're accused of - or claiming it's the school's fault their child is doing so poorly.
At the other end of the economic spectrum you're screwed.  Both parents are working and not having much time for their kids.  They try but they're often stuck with mediocre or outright bad schools.   They're conned into believing the 'college counts' meme settling for getting their kids into mediocre schools that cost too much and do little to make their kids employable.  They'd be better off working for their Uncle and getting their plumber's license. But the shop classes we had 50 years ago are gone.  Most kids don't even know they could become an electrician or mechanic.
I won't even get into the single parent problem.  For most, that's a guaranteed path to poverty and hopelessness. I worked in a factory in the Bronx in the 80's with a few hundred women workers.  Most were single parents struggling to raise their kids - often paying for parochial school because public ones were so bad.  Thes mothers cared - they worked hard.  tehy weren't going to settle for welfare - though they weren't making that much more working.  They were trying desperately to keep their kids off the streets.  But the best they could hope for for their sons was the military... their daughtes had even fewer options and often ended up pregnant - following in their mother's footsteps.
We now have limited parental involvement in child rearing and - it DOES make a difference.  Having an involved parent raising kids makes a HUGE difference in the way your kids learn and turn out.
We as a society have abrogated our responsibility for raising our children.
Our sons benefitted from having a full time parent that paid attention to schools and everything else. Grammar schools 'accomodate' parents because they HAVE to.  But starting in Middle Schools, kids don't want parents around - a fact schools count on.  You'd be astounded at what schools count on parents never seeing.  They're also pretty lax about schedules and such.  They count on 90% of parents not notiicing their 'mistakes' - like dumping your kid out of Honors Math.  Some kids make it to Senior Year and find out they're in trouble because they didn't get in the classes they expected to have.  The 'scheduling issues' that disappear when parents show up to complain build up when parent DON'T pay attention and  your kid doens't have all the requirement they need for the only college they want to attend.
Having a parent that's in Scouts and other things around town - known to other kids also makes a difference.  Your kids have the all purpose excuse for NOT getting in trouble.   'My parent may find out' - and odds are they WILL.
If you have kids in any kind of gifted and talented program you'll notice something.  There aren't too many 'American' kids in them - meaning children from families in the US for more than one or two generations.  You have a large number of first generation US ethnic Korean and Chinese kids.  Their parents are often working class who have sacrificed to focus on their children's education - and future.   MAny are college educated but settled for lesser jobs coming here - they came to the US for their children's future.  (It's ironic that some top colleges are LIMITING the numbers they'll accept from these groups - afraid they won't have any 'Americans' left on campus otherwise).   You have a number of ethnic Russian immigrants in these programs as well.  Their parents are usually college educated.   The 'Americans' are mostly from upper income levels even though most of these progams have scholarships.   You will not see too many black or hispanic kids - save those coming from schools like Bronx Science or Boston Latin.   There's a reason the US is dropping fast on worldwide educational rankings.
Most 'Americans' are NOT focused on making sure their kids get a good education from the very beginning on.  They will do what they can to get their children into 'the best' colleges - save making sure they have the educational record needed to get into those schools.
Worse, most parents teach their children little about work ethics, money , spending, budgets and the practical aspects of life.  Kids do not learn to save.  They do not learn to work or wait for anything.  To many parents teach the opposite - spoiling their children with anything they 'want'.   Parents - even those at the bottom of the economic ladder - try to make up for a lack of time with things.
And speaking of 'time'..... the biggest myth I have ever seen is 'Quality Time'
Parents believe they can somehow offset a lack of time spent with their children by magically 'improving' the little time they DO spend.  That rarely works.  Children are always learning.  You are there to help and shape the course of that learning - or not.  Watch an involved parent with a child in the grocery school - there's a never-ending conversation about the things they're buying, the store itself and more.  Most nannies doing the same with a child act differently.   The child is dragged along - to get through the errand as quickly as possible. Not much interaction occurs with the child.  Some of the most important opportuities for learning are not scheduled - and can not BE scheduled.  You are there when such opportunities arise or not.
Forgot to mentionSouth Asians - Indians and Pakistanis.  Another group that 'outperforms.'  Ciba-Geigy gives out awards to the top Chemistry students in every graduating class around here (NYC biurbs).  The company wants to encourage more student to become chemists (even as they outsource more operations).
Most of the winners were ethnic Chinese, Indian or Pakistani with a couple Russians.  Ironically the parent of one winner WAS a research Chemist and really let into the CIba-Geigy rep - sure. they wanted more chemists but didn't pay them as well as management track types. Ther wasn't much of a long term career path for the chemists.   He wanted 'better' for HIS daughter than the career he'd had.  I talked to him later - his kid was going to Harvard for business.  I don't think many of the winners were going to study chemistry - or even science.  The sad thing is we NEED the tech types MORE than additional 'business' majors.
Both my children were involved with the "gifted programs" in public school.  The programs encompassed roughly 45 minutes a week and only served to stigmatise them with their peers and they got little of value from the "program" outside of having the participation on thier transcript.  The schools will spend half a work week on the underachievers though.  Makes you kind of wonder.
Our school system refuses to have any kind of G&T program.  Too many parents demanding their genius children be included - even when teacher evals and test scores show they're anything but gifted.  I can understand that some subjects like Social Studies are not easily evaluated but things like math and science are readily tested.
We learned the hard way how to deal with such school systems.  Pay to get your kid tested independently and walk into the school offices demanding an IEP - Individualized Educational Program - for your child.  Really smart kids are just as much 'special needs' as those at the bottom of the class and such kids are entitled to an IEP - a detailed program plan for their education.
We never got the IEP buit DID get them bending over backwards to jump our kids ahead in math and science (though you had to keep an eye on them and make sure your child was in the right 'Honors' class and not in the minimally qualified one).  Even after doing so the school administrators told us 'Not to tell anyone' - afraid that others would be making similar demands.  The Irony is that our kids are the ones the school system brags about...... top of class, National Merit.... top universities....
(It isn't always for a kid to be jumped ahead but some handle it fine.  Our youngest was two years ahead in math for Middle and High School.  He in an Honors section and readily accepted once it was clear he knew the subject.  He helped a bunch of older kids get through math over the years.)
Just don't EVER call schools out publicly on their behavior - they'll take it out on your children.   Seriously - the administrators are real SOB's - more obsessed with their image than actual accomplishments.
Really smart kids often feel like outsiders in regular school - the social order still focuses on the jocks and 'popular' kids.  It won't matter that at their 20th reunion the former top of the pecking order are at the bottom of the economic ladder.  Dedicated programs can make a real difference for smart kids.
If you have a truly bright child look into programs like Johns Hopkins CTY or Summer Institute for the Gifted.  (I prefer CTY personally).  CTY has a 'junior program that deals with 5th and 6th graders.  Regular CTY starts with 7th.   Kids spend 3 weeks on a college campus taking one class - a year's worth of a HS class or a semester of a college level course.  SIG covers multiple classes - I think it's usually in a non-residential setting.  MIT, UChicago and others run one weekend programs during the year - SPLASH - for students as well.  Our younger's CTY group of friends met at the MIT program every November for a 'reunion'.  I'm astounded at the efforts these kids made to get together over the years, meeting up here and going into NYC, going up to one person's house in Boston and another in Albany....   They still stay in touch and regularly run into CTY friends and friends of those friends in college.   These and other similar programs are great programs for really smart kids that do wonders for them.  They learn they're not alone and make lifelong friends (my kids remain close to many of their friends from CTY's summer program - I think my youngest's best friends are from CTY).    The 'cross-pollination' of ideas is amazing - these kids all have their own interests and quirks.   Most of the kids in these programs go on to great colleges and go on to accomplish amazing things in life.   Not cheap but most programs offer scholarships and aid.  (One of the kids with my youngest for a few years was from California - a failed school in the Central Valley, father was a meth addict.  She lived for those 3 weeks in the summer.  Sadly I'm not sure she was able to transcend the mess she faced.)
REALLY SMART kids are generally ignored by schools.  They like smart kids - as long as they're not TOO smart.  The system - and their teachers - simply don't know how to deal with the REALLY smart ones.  Frankly, many of these kids are FAR smarter than their teachers.  Being blunt - most teachers are NOT that smart and mopst don't really know the subjects they teach all that well.  Science and math are often sore points.   I can't tell you how many times over the years I was in school backing up my child after they corrected what a teacher said.  Eventually the school system starts to get tired of dealing with you so they make sure your kid gets the 'good' teachers.
Our youngest's chem lab partner Sophomore year put together a 3 person team that entered the TARC - Team America Rocketry Competition.  They made the national finals - where most of the terams are a dozen kids, school sponsored and have been participating for years.    This kid was a National Merit Commended - but got out of high school with a mediocre GPA - good enough to get into the aeronautical school he wanted, not much better.  He didn't like doing 'pointless' homework he found boring.  The school system treated this brilliant kid like a 'slacker' instead of keeping him engaged and interested.    He actually had a hard time getting ANYONE from the school to simply sign the forms he needed for the TARC competition.  BTW - one of the other kids on that team did an internship at CERN in Switzerland after his freshman year in college.  The other was a National Merit winner (the only one at the school that year) and is at U Chicago.
The reality is that the world is in for some major challenges.
You think we'd be CULTIVATING talent because God Knows, we're going to NEED the 'best and brightest' but no.........
The Nuclear Family went out of favor because the nuclear family does not support dependance on the state.  The state simply can't have this.  So back in Progressive FDRs time (all the rage), they created Social Security.  This is hardly the only thing, but it is part of the whole progressive agenda pie.  This "SS income promise" freed up Mom and Dad from actually moving in Gram and Gramps when it might have been time.  G&G can stay over there now in their own house, pay the mortgage, property taxes and such and live off the government SS dole and continue as their own family unit to help support the state.  Now in the past Gram and Gramps might have actually moved in to the nuclear family home, and helped raise the little ones if mom and dad both worked.  The cross generational value infusion from G&G to "the kids" would and was valuable.  Sans Gram and Gramps in the home though, mom and dad had to make other accommodations.
Now since this "policy" also didn't satisfy the states need for dependency, the state decided it was OK to make it systemic that "Dad" really wasn't really necessary once the seed had been planted and fruit harvested.  So we got "no fault" divorce and the Mom "always gets the kids" program with a small tax (child support) then levied on Dad.  Mom then generally qualified and does for government support, "assistance".  Food stamps, welfare and the like and the Moms are further rewarded for producing even more "dependants" with more and more of the aforementioned government cash flow.  Dad maybe went away.  Maybe Dad simply disappeared on paper in order for mom to still get the government freebies.  Who knows, but no doubt there is plenty of anti-family incentives with this fundamental program.  Incentives for poor single moms collecting from the state and hiding Dads, who are still present but eeking out some minimalist living wage.  The Government support now was/is needed by "the family" to simply survive in today's Progressive Economy.  The state is happy looking to expand its' participation, in the nuclear family, especially now that Dad, is really "not needed" according to mainstream Progressive ideology.  The state can then jump in.
There's something to be said for a 'Safety Net'   I've done a lot of genealology research and it's a bit sad how often you see older people passed from kids to grandkids - even married couples split up to different children.  Some daughters NEVER married because they were stuck dealing with Mother and Father all their lives.  You shouldn't HAVE to depend on your children at the end of your life.  But then you SHOULD have viable retirement benefits if you've worked all your life - too many employers have bailed out on those.     Social Security was supposed to keep you out of poverty  and the poor house - NOTHING MORE.  It was NEVER supposed to be your ONLY source of income after retirement.
As far as other benefits - any society should provide for its least capable BUT there should be consequences for 'bad' behavior.  The original 'insurance' plans were mutual aid societies that helped if you were injured or hurt BUT NOT if you were a drunk or otherwise irresponsible.  I understand helping children BUT rewarding people for bad behavior is a bit much.
We waited a decade to have children after getting college degrees and building up savings.  My wife's sister drank, smoked and more.  Not much of a HS record.  She didn't like the work she trained for in secrretarial school.  She married badly - even had a protection order against her husband when in the hospital giving birth for her second child.  She ended up on welfare for a time but eventually got her life together.  Her daughter - no school beyond HS -  married a soldier she met while visiting Ft. Bragg with a girlfriend.  I think it was for lack of anything else to do.  Instead of taking classes (on the government dime) while he was deployed, she partied.   After his return they ended up divorced.  She didn't evenknow she was pregnant for the first 5 months.   She's collecting all kinds of benefits now - while workign a minimum wage job at Dunkin Donuts or some such place. Her new boyfriend (nice enough) is similarly employed.   That kid is doomed.  But she's getting more help than we ever got.  The kid was dropepd off woith relatives for a few days while she and her boyfir3end 'got away' - hell my wife and I didn't even go on a honeymoon and it was a decade before we ever took a vacation.  Once we had kids.... again, no real vacations for the first few years.
Used to be you didn't leave home until you'd saved some money or got a job where you could support yourself.  Even then you were likely to 'board' with another family until you married - and you didn't marry until you could afford to do so.  Many people NEVER married because they couldn't get a 'good' job that paid well enough to support a spouse and family.   If you weren't married, you didn't HAVE children - and if you did it was a major scandal with that child raised by you and YOUR parents (who were likely none too happy about it).  If you got married you stayed married until the kids were gone (even if your husband beat you).  That's not a good thing but now you have people getting divorced because they don't have a fairy tale 'happily ever after'.  There IS a middle ground.   You have some women who need help getting none after a deserved divorce while other women get a free ride for the rest of their life after cehatign on their husband.  There's no rational resolution in divorce these days.
Our society penalizes responsible behavior these days while rewarding bad behavior.
But truth be told it also makes it MUCH harder to behave responsibly.
