Copper Baumgartner'd As China Opens

Tyler Durden's picture

Well that didn't last long. The utterly idiotic surge in Copper futures prices into the US cash equity close has been largely unwound with a small jerk higher on Japan's open and plunge as China joined the fray... retracing ~80% of the rampfest during the day on extremely heavy volume.

Because - fun-durr-mentals...

Looks like a major squeeze run-stop...

Guess it is to be expected with some tequilas being sold with gold flakes floating around in the bottle.

I'm making over $7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is what I do... http://goo.gl/ezLA00

It served it's purpose.

You realize this is where everything is headed, right?  No alpha, just beta and who can game it the best for their own benefit.

Copper was 2.20 at the scrap yard last week . Trading at 2.62 that day. But I noticed steel was 125 a ton big drop from 210 where it had been around for a long time . But brass was holding well at around1.60

Stainless and alumo are in the crapper, too. The only thing making scrap runs worthwhile is cheaper fuel.

With the global economy doing so well, you can just bet that copper is set to explode to the upside.

I love idiotic price runs that happen quicker than the business cycle can ever adapt to. A full month of price declines undone in less than three days.

Copper crashed for a reason, the run back up happened despite a reason.

I really do believe everything traded goes up for no reason at all. There are reasons for price declines, but the reasons for advances have always been pure bullshit.
