I am really getting tired of these bullshit Obama jokes. It is as if the idiots that do them can not remember 8 years ago when we all sat there with our ass hanging out because of our FratBoy President "W" that golfed and goofed his way through the presidency as the fuckin "decider"....and let the house come down on our heads. It would take God himself to straighten this out. ...and I doubt if he could do it.. because it was all downhill from there. Corruption, lazy and arrogant diplomatics, stupid decisions. In the real world we call this  FUBAR. And yet somehow the media (Israeli) (Nuttyahoo) take the Americans into their fold as if we agree with their horseshit...their pundits over in Israel  call Obama another Hitler mind you....after taking OUR money. And then they trump that whoremaster Nutty in front of our face and then publish shit like this. Who do they think they are..and I am including those that should be accused of treason......the 47 that signed that letter. Do they not live here int the US? Are they not for the Republic of the US? Did they not remember the Pledge of Alligence?

Your note is so right. Arguing over the deckchairs....someone please leave the Banksters in their life jackets please and step on their heads as they are on the way to the lifeboats.

Skateboarder...you are probably too young to remember but

a long long time ago the U.S. Government would come up with

a thing called a budget that would only allow them to spend a

certain amount of money based on income, just like you and I.

Then one day someone in the Government relized that since we

can just print money there no longer is a need for something so

constraining as a budget so they just did away with it.

Mon, 03/23/2015 - 16:30 | 5919245 Payne
Payne's picture

never happened.  Another Fantasy.  Governments rarely ever spend only what their income is.

Mon, 03/23/2015 - 16:59 | 5919344 Oldwood
Oldwood's picture

Until early in the last century, most deficit spending was done in time of war...real war, not the shit we see today. America had a pretty modest debt until the depression hit, and then with war it went to the moon. Once we adopted the enlightened Keynesian economics, we have never looked back and never reduced our debt. But yes, we did once have something that actually looked like a budget with real constraints. We also had a congress that could constitutionally restrict executive spending without being called racist.

But we are all progressives now and wallow in the glory of infinite debt like it was the fountain of youth.

What could go wrong???

Accounting101's picture

Were those constraints real or politically contrived? Why the hard on for progressives? You didn't care for woman's sufferage? 40 hour work week? Paid vacations?

Mon, 03/23/2015 - 21:47 | 5920340 Oldwood
Oldwood's picture

It was the 40 hour week and paid vacations. Being self employed my whole life I missed out on those "freebies". As far as women's suffrage, marriage has kind of taught me that ultimately men have little power over them. And how many here give one shit about voting anyway? When will being a progressive pay off for you? When we get paid to stay at home and never work? Take heart, we are half way there. It will make a 40 hour week and paid vacations and Obamacare look like the middle ages.

ummm....the Russian government does? isn't that just amazing? But Putin is a kind of unicorn himself among the world politicians, isn't he. I wonder where did Russians get him??? He was one of the first to realize that debt=slavery and he gladly backed out of that debt scheme! Thanks to this, he is the king of the game now and the Russian economy is rebounding. And it is so simple, if you have no debt, banksters can't really do anything to you. Sanctions are really funny, they dont really work. But if Russia had a big debt, she really would have been down now. This way, Russians are just laughing at the silly West, literally (I asked some Russian friends, they think that Westerners are incredibly stupid and they even thank Obama for the sanctions, which made them finally to separate themselves from the collapsing West - without falling down with it.)  Meanwhile, the EU economy is falling badly because of those stupid sanctions. These are the results of the idiotic US policy:-)

6 reds because someone dissed Cruz' wife. Do these folks still cling to the belief that we operate under a 2 party system and believe the lies both sides spew to get elected? If they cloned Hitler I would throw a vote his way before any red/blue candidate. The current system is corrupt to the bone. I imagine obozo is looking forward to all the pork about to be thrown his way after the election. He will retire to some corporate VP slots and get paid millions (paybacks from the MIC). Not too shabby for 8 yrs of golf and exotic vacations. Fuck, I'm jealous!

Mon, 03/23/2015 - 17:33 | 5919396 Oldwood
Oldwood's picture

You are sincerely an idiot if you see Hitler as preferable to Hillary or any other current politician. We know we have a rotten crew to pick from but that is simply stupid. Further, it is a shame that so many reject virtually everyone who would run as fatally flawed when they also reject religion, for it would seem that even Jesus Christ (if he is real) would still not satisfy you.

NONE of us is without flaw, and for most of us, what purity we retain is likely due to lack of opportunity as much as any high moral ideals.

If we are to judge any of these who seek to rule us, we must judge the less by what they say as what they do. We knew what to expect from Obama because we had his voting record...the most liberal in congress. We had his affiliations with Rev Wright, his black nationalistic leanings. WE knew he was raised as a Muslim. WE KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT, but hope and change won out...his rhetoric out weighed his actions. We can look at any of these politicians and figure out to a large degree what their perspectives...and hearts are. WE have a pretty weak crowd to pick from so unless YOU DO want a Hitler, you had better figure out who will best prevent that from happening...even if they are married to a banker. Or just shoot yourself because its all futile anyway...its your choice. Just don't wish Hitler on us.

Just who did you expect the voters to vote for?

The first time around they were coming to terms with a humongous Bush Administration military disaster in Iraq, the consequences of which they'll be suffering for generations.  It was a complete clusterfuck sold to the public by cynically scaring the shit out of them with bogus talk about weapons of mass distraction and then promising an easy win and free oil to boot.  So who does the Republican party chose to run?  John McCain, the poster boy for entrenched military industrial complex stupidity.  He didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.  The Dems could have run Howdy Doody and won that contest.

The next election cycle the voters were reeling from the financial crisis, complete with mind-numbing bank bailouts and Wall Street run amok.  The Tea Party on the right and Occupy Wall Street on the left were so angry at the financial world they were shouting from the rooftops.  So who does the Republican party choose to run?  Mitt Romney, the poster boy for "creative financing" Wall Street shenanigans.  He didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.  The Dems could have run Barney The Purple Tyranasaur and won that contest.

So who does the Republican Party turn to now?  If it's Bush 3, he won't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.  The Dems could run Sea Hag and win that contest.

This "two party system" sucks bricks.  I quit voting in presidential elections a few cycles back.  I wish there were a "none of the above" box to check so I could register my displeasure at the poor choices on the ballot.

yes i think you are right, all tax reciepts are spent and all discretionary spending is gov debt. which is now "down" to only a half trillion a year. this is equivilent to going from spending 100k on your neighbors credit card a year to 50k and telling the bank your neighbor's situation has improved substantially.

i love it...  at night i wonder if the final collapse will happen on obama's watch or the next guy and where all the piggys will run too when the pitch forks come out.

It must happen during a Republican administration and congress. Everyone knows democrats are the optimists and Republicans the pessimists, and given that our current economy, as bad as it is, is completely based on "confidence" which can only be sustained through blind optimism and delusion, a country that would actually vote for a republican KNOWS we are fucked and has finally admitted it. Blame, which is a separate issue entirely, will be assessed by the media. Republicans are dead fucked politically. Anyone....any living soul who would attempt to actually implement a real solution would be burned at the stake. We got here because of the compounding of bad choices, and options are far worse now than ever before. No one will support change that deprives them of anything, and most will sell every last vestige of liberty to sustain it for a few more days. There is no solution because no one will support a solution, like in Greece, the only policies acceptable are the ones that got us here.

Great comment.

However the "collapse" has already happened.
The dictator can take a while to arrive, as evedince in the war and interwar years of Germany from about 1914 to 1933.

The neo-cons and evangelicals are on the case though, so it won't be long.

The banksters need to repay us.

While many have their eyes on the manchurian candidate in the Oval Office, the neo-cons, evangelicals, and their Zionist masters are running over us roughshod.

The original literal meaning of “to ride roughshod” was far more brutal. In the 17th century, a horse that was “roughshod” was shod with horseshoes with the nailheads, or sometimes metal points, projecting from the bottom of the shoe. This gave the horse better traction on slippery ground or ice. But when cavalry horses were “roughshod,” they became brutal weapons in a charge against foot soldiers. As bad as being trampled by a horse must be, being struck by “roughshod” hooves is apparently far worse.

Half the country does not vote now, so your suggestion is simply for none of us to vote? Obama is already hinting at mandatory voting. We don't need more or less voters, we need people with a brain to vote and demand better. When the hordes of illiterates who are dependent on their populist leader for their next pellet of nutrition come to vote, this is what we end up with. Hope and pray for something worth voting for rather than simply surrendering. Too many have surrendered already. I will leave the trigonometry to the politicians to use when calculating their "triangulations". For the rest of us we need a simply clear line of sight.

Billion % true.

Dems = Repubs - same corporate funding, same hands in pockets, same back-room deals.

Anyone not getting this has his head shoved so far up his ass he may have broken the space-time continuum.

A voter update from Houston, Texas...

I was just talking to my neighbor across the back fence. He always votes straight Republican ticket (he told me this a couple of years ago). I just asked him what he thought of how Greg Abbott was doing and he looked at me a bit puzzled and replied 'Who the fuck is Greg Abbott'?

Of course you are correct, Arthor. This party, that party. This economic thesis, that economic thesis. It's divide and conquer all over again. Distrust them all, I say.

this is what i have learned in 38 years about voting

1. u can vote for blue or red and get screwed by both. if u are voting for either "side" you r not smart eneogh to know your getting screwed

2. you can not vote but inaction is exactly that. u r not part of any solution and r just allowing morons deciede your fate

3. u can vote for a third party and try to get others to vote. u will learn what cognitive dissonace is and u will want to drive nails threw your eyes talking to the morons about the state of affairs.

i choose to vote libertarian and stock up on expensive whiskey than laugh when i watch the "news"

haha!

The reality is that we cannot afford either the Obama or the Republican unicorns. We really just need a regular horse.
