Fighting The "War on Terror" By Banning Cash

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Joseph Salerno via Mises Institute,

It was just a matter of time before Western governments used the trumped up "War on Terror" as an excuse to drastically ratchet up the very real war on the use of cash and personal privacy that they are waging against their own citizens.

Taking advantage of public anxiety in the wake of the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket, France has taken the first step.  It seems the terrorists involved partially financed these attacks by cash, as well as by consumer loans and the sale of counterfeit goods. What a shockeroo!

The terrorists used CASH to purchase some of the stuff they needed--no doubt these murderers were also shod and clothed and used  cell phones, cars, and public sidewalks during the planning and execution of their mayhem.   Why not restrict their use?  A naked , barefoot terrorist without communications is surely less effective than a fully clothed and equipped one.

Despite the arrant absurdity of blaming cash and financial privacy for these crimes,  French Finance Minister Michel Sapin brazenly stated  that it was necessary to "fight against the use of cash and anonymity in the French economy."

He then announced extreme and despotic measures to further restrict the use of cash by French residents and to spy on and pry into their financial affairs.

These measures, which  will be implemented in September 2015, include:

Prohibiting  French residents from making cash payments of more than 1,000 euros, down from the current limit of  3,000 euros.

Given the parlous state of the stagnating French economy the limit for foreign tourists on currency payments will remain higher, at 10,000 euros down from the current limit of 15,000 euros.

The threshold below which a French resident is  free to convert euros into other currencies without having to show an identity card will be slashed from the current level of 8,000 euros to 1,000 euros.

In addition any cash deposit or withdrawal of more than 10,000 euros during a single month will be reported to the French anti-fraud and money laundering agency Tracfin.

French authorities will also have to be notified of any freight transfers within the EU exceeding 10,000 euros, including checks, pre-paid cards, or gold.

But anything goes in French politics. Especially cash from foreign donors.

Sarkozy took 50,000,000 Euros from Gaddafi and then attacked Libya. That was beyond terrorism – that was terrorism and betrayal. But what does one expect from a French politician?

Ex-Libyan PM backs Gaddafi’s Sarkozy donation claim

Another voice, that of former Libyan prime minister al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi, who is in prison in Tunisia, has added his support to the accusation that French President Nicolas Sarkozy took 50 million euros from the Gaddafis.

Damned - I love reading history, especially ancient history. Reminds you that it's the 'same ole, same ole'. And even the 'invincible' Roman Empire is no more.

And does anyone really think that the current anglo-american 'leadership' outclasses the Romans at their peak ?

In a world of ZIRP or even NIRP, holding cash makes sense. You get to avoid the "tax" from bank service fees etc.

So of course this practice of holding cash must be outlawed. Like a Paris fashion trend, this is coming to the US very soon.

I plan on investing in junk silver going forward.  The cash demonization started long ago with the suspicious activity reports that the banks are doing.  Why is withdrawing 5000 dollars cash suspicious.  In that case our government is under suspicion every thousandth of a second. But when the government does it.......... that it is just fine.  One good thing about the illegal alien population though......... they will not trust banks and give up their cash economy....... so I guess that is one plus to having Obama just illegally dictate whatever the hell he wants and flood this country with third world populations.

'National debt' isn't a problem, but rather an illusion they use to enslave the population. "Need to raise your taxes so you can pay your fair share."

In the old days, when the slave owners passed down their orders through their foremen, the slavery was too obvious.

Much better to use devalued currency, taxes, and debt to enslave people and compel them to follow your commands. Hell, the slaves think they actually 'vote' for the foremen who pass down the orders. And the slaves will even kill & die to 'defend' the plantation.

Quite brilliant.

16And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.   Then there is this gem .. I keep thinking NYC .. or just USSA ..

The merchants of these things, who were made rich, shall stand afar off from her, for fear of her torments, weeping and mourning,  And saying: Alas! alas! that great city, which was clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet and was gilt with gold and precious stones and pearls.  For in one hour are so great riches come to nought. And every shipmaster and all that sail into the lake, and mariners, and as many as work in the sea, stood afar off, And cried, seeing the place of her burning, saying: What city is like to this great city?  And they cast dust upon their heads and cried, weeping and mourning, saying: Alas! alas! that great city, wherein all were made rich, that had ships at sea, by reason of her prices. For, in one hour she is made desolate.  Apocalypse 18:15-19

Apocalypse was a really popular theme around 1490-1492 AD.

Based on the Byzantine calendar, that says the world was created in 5508 BC, the year 1492 would be 7000 years since creation.  And of course God has a 7000 year plan, and so therefore the world was surely about to come to an end (Day of Judgment).   It was like the original conspiracy theory.

666 is,nt that the Star of David ? six triangles six sides six points ?

Mon, 03/23/2015 - 14:02 | 5918534 Seek_Truth
Seek_Truth's picture

It's not the "Star of David", as they'd like you to believe. It is actually the Star of Solomon the apostate, David's son:

The modern day nation of Israel uses as their symbol, their flag, the six pointed star, the symbol of Remphan (also translated as Repham, Rephan, Chiun, Moloch, Saturn), the Seal of Solomon the Apostate. (Acts 7:43, Amos 5:26, 1 Kings 11:4-7) This is a symbol that originated in ancient Egypt, it is two pyramids- one points to the heavens and the other to the underworld. It has six sides to its interior, six pyramids laid on its interior, and six angles.

This six pointed star http://rr-bb.com/archive/index.php/t-10958.html was brought to the Jewish people by Solomon after his marriage to the daughter of Pharaoh in 922 BC. It became known as the Seal of Solomon in Egyptian witchcraft and occultism. Against Gods instructions, Solomon took 700 wives and 300 concubines, Egyptians, Moabites, Ammonites, Sidonians and Hittites. (1 Kings 11:1) He was warned by God that if he did so he would turn away and worship the false gods of his wives. This he did. (1 Kings 11:2-4) Solomon gave himself up to worshipping “Ashtoreth the God of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites.”(1 Kings 11:5). “…Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. He did the same for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods.” (1 Kings 11:7-8) These sacrifices included human sacrifice, orgies, prostitution, drunkenness, homosexuality, and other vile practices. God swore He would take all but one tribe from the rulership of Solomon’s son, Reheboam(1 Kings 1:13). This one tribe was the tribe of Judah, from which we get “Judaism” and “Jew”.

The hexagram faded from Jewish usage (except among Jewish occultists- Kabbalists) for 2,600 years. It reappeared in approximately 1800 in Germany, it was adopted by Mayer Amschel Rothschild as his family coat of arms. The “Red Shield” (Rothshild) familly’s banking and financial empire is the only recorded use of the symbol until 1873, when the six pointed star was also adopted by the Jewish Publication Society.

In addition, it is indeed noteworthy that the only other appearances of the number 666 in the Bible are found in 1 Kings 10:14 (and parallel account at 2 Chronicles 9:13): "Now the weight of gold which came in to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold, besides that from the traders and the wares of the merchants and all the kings of the Arabs and the governors of the country."

It is of note that these verses refer to Solomon, who in his early rulership as King of the united 12 tribes of Israel and Judah was noted for his righteous, godly, wisdom. But his later years, the beginnings of which are recorded in the verses quoted above, give a completely different picture. (2 Chronicles 9:13-29)

If you read that account in 2 Chronicles, note how EVERY number above ten is mentioned in 100s or 1,000s, EXCEPT 666. Also note how 666 is “forced” as a unique number, that is, it is mentioned before the EXCEPTION of the additional gold brought from “besides that which the traders and merchants brought; and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.” NOWHERE ELSE in the annals of the Kings is a number “forced” or not rounded. ALL other numbers are rounded to the nearest hundred or thousand. This is very significant.

The answer to the meaning of 666 is that it stands for the human desire, personified in Solomon, to gain power over others (to become "god-like") by means of sorcery and spells, the greatest of which is fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, and other financial wizardry.

For the sake of brevity I will stop here for now.

In psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time, or is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values

"In Aesop's fable 'The Fox and the Grapes,' a fox sees some grapes hanging high on a vine and wants to eat them. He tries to jump up, but can't get to them, because they're too high. When he realizes that he can't get them, the fox becomes disdainful of the grapes; he tells himself that those grapes were sour and that he didn't want them anyway. This is an example of cognitive dissonance - the disagreeable feeling people experience when one belief or action conflicts with a pre-existing belief or action."

http://study.com/academy/lesson/cognitive-dissonance-in-psychology-theor...

You are confronted with factual evidence that the beliefs you hold dearly are not based in fact, but indoctrination. Your response is to lash out at the messenger rather than attempting (however weakly) to prove that your beliefs are based in fact. Unable to do so, your psyche reverts to casting aspersions because you'd rather remain ignorant than learn that you were hoodwinked.

Classic case of cognitive dissonance.

Depends on how you define religion.

That which is organized by men is imperfect, and while they yield some good fruits, much rotten fruit is produced.

In contrast, that which is organized by God- true Christianity, yields only good fruit.

Note that all denominations of christianity fall into the former; only by much study, prayer, and communing with the Holy Spirit can one come to know true Christianity, which transcends the "organized" religions of this earth.

But those earthly organizations can and do yield both some good fruit, and can be a stepping stone to true Christianity.

I'm weak on numbers, be they astronomical or chapter and verse, however, I offer the following for consideration.  Everything runs on the calendar of the ancients.  The star means "as above, so below" meaning as in the heavens (known celestial bodies) so is it ordered below on earth (government heirarchies, religious beliefs, etc..) which is how the ancients ran things, and how the ruling class still runs things, with the help of the Builders (Masons).  The last 2000+? yrs. (age of picses) have been for the anti-Christ (Luciferians) as it is written, even though they wave the fish about and call "Christian" this and that, they are false.  After the tribe of Judah (and Benjamin) came out of Babylon captivity, the solar cult was moved to Rome.  The modern churches have wrapped themselves in the shroud of Judeo-Christianity, but many by no means followed the teachings of Christ (or Character of Christ if you are still stuck in the literal mode of thought).  He says in scriptures for his apostles to go into the city and find the man with the water pitcher to prepare passover (the age of aquarius).  The true religion of Christ (peace making, love is paramount, generally good stuff) will ultimately reign in the age of aquarius.  But not until after SHTF.  Just because SHTF doesn't mean it will stop turning :-) The Luciferian sorcerers based in Rome, busy trying to construct a new false myth for the aquarian age, they will be overthrown.  Getting into the new age will come through tribulation, great tribulation.  The new world order the current elite are building will be destroyed.

I read also that Rothschild means to some (Ruth's Child) implying Davidic / Judaic lineage, as the returning king is prophesied to be of such lineage.  But some say that Rothschild's are tribe of Dan (Symolized by serpent), not Judah, and will try to take the head seat for a time at World government before it is overthrown.

Solomon was apostate later in his life, but he did say "get wisdom", which is something all should aspire to do.  It is difficult when we have been immersed in a sea of lies, and some from the pulpit no less :-(  Although there is a good bit of golden "literal" interpretation to be had from the Bible - people need to understand that it is largely and astro-theological guide / history book, and is meant to be read and understood figuratively.  Please awaken your hearts and minds.

Much of what you've stated is spot on (I would, however, avoid invoking any astrology- (Daniel 1:20; Daniel 2:27; Isaiah 47:13-14;Deuteronomy 18:10-14; Deuteronomy 4:19; 2 Kings 17:16) ).

However, as far as this comment goes:

"I read also that Rothschild means to some (Ruth's Child) implying Davidic / Judaic lineage, as the returning king is prophesied to be of such lineage.  But some say that Rothschild's are tribe of Dan (Symolized by serpent), not Judah, and will try to take the head seat for a time at World government before it is overthrown."

Jesus said it best, in Matthew chapter 7:

A Tree and Its Fruit

15“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20“So then, you will know them by their fruits.

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

Take a good look at the Rothschild dynasty to determine which category they fall into. Also, consider this:

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Matthew 21:12
Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.

Luke 16:13
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Luke 16:14
The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.

Acts 8:20
Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

1 Timothy 3:3
not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

2 Timothy 3:2
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Matthew 13:22
The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Mark 4:19
but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

1 Timothy 6:17
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment

James 5:3
Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

Revelation 3:17
You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Matthew 19:23
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:24
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 1:53
He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.

Luke 6:24
“But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

Luke 8:14
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.

Luke 12:21
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

1 Timothy 6:9
Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

1 Timothy 6:17
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

James 1:11

For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business

James 5:1
Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you.

Revelation 3:17
You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Based on the above Scriptures, it's rather clear where the Rothschilds fall as regards God's favor, or lack thereof.

Amen amigo, it is they who were given up to *worship* the host of heaven, not I.  I will seek understanding, and will not be punished for it by my Savior.  It is difficult for people to manage both literal and figurative concepts, but they must try.  Son is the way to go, not Sun as so many have been deceived.  Blinded by the wrong light, as it were.

"So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known." - Matthew 10:26

"For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. - Mark 4:22

"Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God." - 1 Corinthians 4:5

"I know your afflictions and your poverty--yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan." - Revelation 2:9

"I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you." - Revelation 3:9

This is what happens when TPTB use religious texts or secular texts (e.g. "1984") as inspiration, rather than a warning. Likewise, Star Trek tech has been used as inspiration for modern gadgets.

Do not confuse Correlation or Inspiration with Causation.

Au contraire, comme Jésus a parlé:

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?" - Matthew 7:15

If there are false prophets (and prophecies), then it stands to reason that there are also true prophets (and prophecies).

Those who focus only on the things seen in the physical realm are blind to spiritual realm. Some are even proud that they are blind to the unseen things.

It's like a deaf person so convinced that there exists no such thing as sound, that even when a means to hear is placed before them, they turn away from it.

"We know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God." - 1 Corinthians 8:1-3

My advice: get a "hearing aid".

You're thinking of:

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." -Matthew 24:36

So we don't know the day or hour. However, the signs of the end are not hidden:

"For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." - Luke 8:17

I appreciate your perspective.

All I am saying is that I am 100% convinced that the elite are acting out the book of Revelations.  God knew they would do that.  That is why He told us we would NEVER see it coming.  Ergo, if we think we are seeing it coming as you are suggesting, then God reassures us that we are wrong, that we are looking at false signs.

I am convinced the elite are acting out the book of Revelations for these 2 reasons:

1) 99% of Christians will believe it is happening;

2) they will simulate the Second Coming leading the foolish Christians to their slaughter.

This may sound like a silly defence but my conclusion is re-inforced by my discriminate viewing of popular television shows and movies which repeatedly program the sheeple into anticipating extra-terriestrial savior-like figures.

The threshold below which a French resident is  free to convert euros into other currencies without having to show an identity card will be slashed from the current level of 8,000 euros to 1,000 euros.

So terrorists would have to make 8 seperate trips to convert 8000 Euros, rather than 1, no doubt those extra trips would result in terrorists just giving up completely, well done.

What do you expect when you give any government any power?

The central American idea was to construct a government that had no power, and thus no need to buy anybody off.

That governs best which governs least. Putting a new set of scoundrels at the wheel of the infernal machine will not change anything unless someone unbolts the transmission. Then it hardly matters who the government is.

Given the parlous state of the stagnating French economy the limit for foreign tourists on currency payments will remain higher, at 10,000 euros down from the current limit of 15,000 euros.

I've noticed that too...all the talk of banning cash never really tackled how the global crime syndicates (I.E. the deep states) would run their scams like the drug trade to fuel their black op wars.  That's a big...I mean one ton gorilla at least...in the room.

What if their control of the global system becomes so absoulte, they can commit crimes at will, with no fear of consequenses.

I don't think we are that far off.

You are absolutely correct.  Any and all talk of the complete elimination of cash is nonsense for that reason.

Central banks will let people fight to the death for pennies before cash is eliminated.

<<They won't outlaw cash, it is the lifeblood of the illicit drug trade, bribes and graft.

They have been kicking the idea around since the 1980's at least.>>

Capital controls will be dropped from $1000 to $100 to $10 to $1 until everybody starves but the deep state will always have plates to print the big bills.

"Fighting The "War on Terror" By Banning Cash"

....because everyone knows Banks never launder money.  Everyone here knows damned well that once "money" is deposited in the bank it never ever ever gets used for weapons, training and supplying terrorists....or for illicit drug fund laundering.

Nope.

Never.

...ever.

Got it.

The terrorists also ate food in the days before the attack; I demand that food be banned or restricted so that nobody has any energy to do anything except watch TV or sleep. It's for the children don't you know.

So.. I bought a car for 1100 euro, paid it all cash!

Really, I did..

So would it now be illegal for me to sell it in france? Maybe I should ask the buyer to swipe his visa card in my buttcrack?
Or maybe we are now by law forced to have an account at our local bankster?

When I was a kid I used to tear off those tags on pillows that said "Do not remove under penalty of law". I got yelled at by my mom.

Pops came home and my mom told him what I did. "It's against the LAW".

Pops did that pursed lip thing he always did when he was trying not to burst out laughing. "I guess if they send the pillow inspector around, the kid is going to go to jail."

Mom stomps off to the kitchen. She knew better. The kid was destined for prison with such a casual disregard for the law and it would be her husbands fault for not discouraging criminal activity.

or drugs, or rare earth minerals, or food, or water, or whatever is worth something to those that have the means to their ends.

Man is nothing if not inventive.

But noooooooo, just like with prohibition, coke, meth, pot, heroin and illegal guns, all it takes it government intervention into the free market to fix it.

This time it is going to work.  I just know it.  /sarc

This will be a huge fail.  Plus it will do wonders for the religion of multi culturism.  I mean if they didn't allow these goat molesters into their country by the boat load none of this would be happening.

The Greeks have perfected a barter system that does not require the use of (much) cash and especially not the use of electronic cash or credit cards.  We are being herded into that same mentality where the government feels it must track every transaction and make sure that the buyer and seller pay their fair share of taxes on those transactions -- and their fair share of income tax too.

Unsuprisingly, history shows that the tighter government squeezes, the less tax they collect, as more and more people switch to bartering for goods and services.
