Yesterday we saw the tracers against the dark night sky, tonight we get the video of Saudi warplanes bombing various Houthi positions. All looks quite "decisive" to us...
Powerful explosions rocked the Houthi-held Sanaa on Thursday night as a Saudi-led coalition carried out air strikes against Shiite rebels in control of the Yemeni capital, an AFP correspondent reported.
Anti-aircraft fire erupted in response to what witnesses said were air strikes by the coalition forces against a camp at al-Istiqbal, on Sanaa's western entrance.

Whether we go to war or not, governments are oppressive. While you can cite the lost lives because of US intervention, one can also cite the lost lives of millions more because of oppressive dictatorships.
Yea, I prefer we don't send our own troops into other nations. But to say that if we didn't, many lives wouldn't be lost cannot be argued. Just like I can't argue that if we send troops in, so many lives will be saved. That is a false argument that both sides use continuously to propagandize. You can't back seat quarterback after the fact.
Either way I look at it, government is the problem. Whether it is our government or theirs.

Russia voted FOR the sanctions against Iran. Russia was instramental in forcing Syria to give up it's chemical weapons, making Syria more vulnerable. Syria did not get any lessening of hostilities for doing so and Russia did not step forward to sheild Syria.

Im shorting the Canadian Dollar. There is no real demand for crude and any rise the prices is an over reaction to this event.
Once the 'rebels' learn why it is important to not carry their cellphones, the Saudi pilots will not have any targets except for scattered pickup trucks and civilians. Just like US drones and the Israeli Air Force in Gaza. And while the Saudi mass troops on the Yemen border, the rebels simply travel to Saudi Arabia and start the next attacks/rebellion in the Kingdom itself. All this is going to cost the Saudis a lot of cash, so watch for oil prices to keep climbing. And I fully expect at least one ship to get attacked from the Yemen coast. If for no other reason, Iran would love to see higher oil prices.
