Government Report Finds DEA Agents Had "Sex Parties" With Prostitutes Hired By Drug Cartels

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

Although some of the DEA agents participating in these parties denied it, the information in the case file suggested they should have known the prostitutes in attendance were paid with cartel funds. A foreign officer also alleged providing protection for the DEA agents’ weapons and property during the parties, the report said. The foreign officers further alleged that in addition to soliciting prostitutes, three DEA SSAs [special agents] in particular were provided money, expensive gifts, and weapons from drug cartel members.

* A deputy U.S. Marshal “entered into a romantic relationship” with a fugitive’s spouse and would not break off the relationship for more than a year, even after being told by supervisors to end it.

* An ATF “Director of Industry Operations” had “solicited consensual sex with anonymous partners and modified a hotel room door to facilitate sexual play.” The ATF employee even disabled a hotel’s fire detection system, and when caught by the hotel, said he had done it before.

– From the Politico article: DEA Agents Had ‘Sex Parties’ with Prostitutes, Watchdog Says

There’s no agency in government more vehemently opposed to ending the immoral and counterproductive “war on drugs” than the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Now we know why.

From Politico:

Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration reportedly had “sex parties” with prostitutes hired by drug cartels in Colombia, according to a new inspector general report released by the Justice Department on Thursday.

In addition, Colombian police officers allegedly provided “protection for the DEA agents’ weapons and property during the parties,” the report states. Ten DEA agents later admitted attending the parties, and some of the agents received suspensions of two to 10 days.

Suspensions of two to ten days. That’ll teach ‘em.

The Oversight panel is also investigating allegations into the Secret Service that agents there hired prostitutes in Colombia while advancing a trip for President Barack Obama.

Moreover, the report states that DEA, ATF and the Marshals Service repeatedly failed to report all risky or improper sexual behavior to security personnel at those agencies.

“The foreign officer allegedly arranged ‘sex parties’ with prostitutes funded by the local drug cartels for these DEA agents at their government-leased quarters, over a period of several years,” the IG report says.

“Although some of the DEA agents participating in these parties denied it, the information in the case file suggested they should have known the prostitutes in attendance were paid with cartel funds. A foreign officer also alleged providing protection for the DEA agents’ weapons and property during the parties,” the report said. “The foreign officers further alleged that in addition to soliciting prostitutes, three DEA SSAs [special agents] in particular were provided money, expensive gifts, and weapons from drug cartel members.”

The IG’s office asserts that DEA officials did not fully comply with their requests for information during the probe.

* A deputy U.S. Marshal “entered into a romantic relationship” with a fugitive’s spouse and would not break off the relationship for more than a year, even after being told by supervisors to end it;

* An ATF “Director of Industry Operations” had “solicited consensual sex with anonymous partners and modified a hotel room door to facilitate sexual play.” The ATF employee even disabled a hotel’s fire detection system, and when caught by the hotel, said he had done it before;

While these agents will almost undoubtedly receive no real punishment, perhaps some good will come from this: End the idiotic war on drugs.

Every idiot here who is whooping it up and saying that this is all good and we should not be prudish, etc. has his head up his ass and does not know squat about the reality on the ground. All this talk about "consensual sex" hides the ugly reality of Colombia and the US presence there. It is much worse than presented in this article.

I bet precious few persons here have ever set foot -on "official business"- in Colombia. If you have, you certainly know about it and I wish someone other than I would also speak to this and add to the "learning" here.

The US has many bases in Colombia. There are seven large ones, and quite a few smaller garrisons scattered about the country. There are US soldiers, sailors, marines, and contractors rotating in and out all the time.  By the SOFA, all US personnel have legal immunity from prosecution, so no criminal cases are ever documented, prosecuted, or even brought up for any reason against US military/.gov civilian personnel, including contractors. This is almost an incentive for sexual assault, rape, and other crimes.

Sweet deal right? You get to rape (subhuman?) women and children, among other things, then leave the country whenever.

Here is a case that I think illustrates the ugliness and impunity.

The 12 year old daughter of Olga Castillo Campos was drugged in a public place, abducted and taken to the military barracks, where she was repeatedly raped by a US soldier and a US contractor. She was dumped in a park the next day. When the mother sought justice from the legal system for this triple crime, she was rebuffed by the authorities, citing the immunity of US soldiers and personnel. She personally confronted these two pieces of human excrement about it, and their hostile reply was "Yeah we raped her, so what? We are in Colombia and the law does not apply to us".

There is an air base called Tolemaida Air Base. It is located next to the town of Melgar, which is slightly west of the center of Colombia. In one 2004 case in Melgar, 53 underage girls were sexually abused by nearby stationed military contractors who moreover filmed the rapes and sold the films as pornographic material for 10,000 pesos (approximately 2,600 US Dollars) each. To add to the injuries, the victims of the sexual abuse practices were forced to flee their own land (!) after their families received death threats.

-----------------------------

These are just two of hundreds of sordid cases. Now I do not wish anyone ill, but I will ask this hypothetical question:

How cool are you with your underage daughters or granddaughters being "reeled into the good times" and given a free ride to a park the next day?

How about your mothers, wives, and sisters being bent over and forced to "partake in the party" all night, and with everyone there?

The original RT report says:

"The claims are part of an 800-page report by an independent commission established by the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebel group. The commission’s goal is to determine the causes and document the consequences of the civil war that has ravaged the country for 50 years and claimed over seven million lives"

Seven million lives have been lost over fifty years because American military personnel and contractors allegedly raped 54 Columbian women a decade ago?

Bull crap.

*sigh*

Separate the two concepts and maybe you will understand it better.

Concept #1- The "claims" of rape are part of the report.

Concept #2- The purpose of the report is to determine the causes and document the consequences of the civil war.

They are not saying that the rapes are the cause of the Civil War.

They are just one of many consequences.

Jstanley011's picture

No causes are reported by the Columbians via RT, and no "consequences," in a conflcit that has cost 7 MILLION LIVES except for ten-year-old allegations of 54 rapes?

It's a fraud on its face, even if the allegations are true. "Strain at a gnat and swallow a camel."

For many years now I have been attempting to get the Government of CANADA to classify Cocaine as a Neurotoxin. A number of years back I actually called the DEA in Washington and spoke with a DEA agent who was quite helpful with regard to how I might enlist the Canadian Government to amend our legislation. I chatted with the DEA agent enough to know that he was a professional in terms of his approach. In brief, agents in the field on assignment probably don't act ethically all of the time, but I, for one, believe that some of them do indeed act ethically 24/7. In every organization there are bad apples IMHO, and the DEA is no different.

Human beings have a right to do whatever they wish to their own body.  To claim otherwise is to be a human predator and an advocate of totalitarian dictatorship.  You should be DEEPLY ASHAMED of yourself.

You should also note that wherever drugs are legal, less people take harmful drugs.  So if you care about human beings, you should advocate repeal of all drug laws, including prescription drug laws.  And if you really care a lot, you should volunteer to help people to kick their bad habits, including drugs.

Note that I don't take drugs, and I've never even drunk alcohol or smoked anything.  Hell, for health purposes I take natural herbs rather than artificial drugs.  So my opinion has nothing whatsoever to do with some desire to make drugs easier for me to get.  I don't want them, and I won't take them.

I studied the genesis of Psychoanalytic Theory/historiography of Sigmund Freud, and discovered that Freud wrote Uber Coca. I studied that history, and then studied Neuroscience/Behavioural Medicine to discover that Cocaine is neurotoxic to the Central Nervous System in any amount. After consulting with the Chair in Neuroscience at the local university I discovered that "there is no safe level of use" for the BRAIN [Central Nervous System] and that Cocaine has a certain 100% positive effect for neurotoxicity to all brain tissues/brain regions. ERGO, if we change the federal drug classification from the present _Stimulant_ status to include the fact that it is 100% neurotoxic to the Central Nervous System, we will then be able to legislate a WARNING system to cohorts of individuals that are 'at risk' to being subjected to neurotoxicity in their central nervous systems. In this respect, I hope to introduce an early WARNING system to the secondary educators that educate new cohorts of drug addicts out of the secondary school system.

NOTE: The only way to teach people to avoid damaging their brain is to teach people what damages their brain. If we teach children to know what a neurotoxin is and how to avoid them we will automatically reduce Cocaine usage in society and then we would see more Mexican people keep their heads instead of losing them to Mexican drug cartels.

You can't teach anyone anything, because they know most of what they hear from you, their parents, their teachers and everyone else are lies.  So if you want to tell them the truth for a change, they won't believe you.  Why should they?

This is the old "boy who cried wolf" issue.  Once you (and parents and teachers and adults in general) lie to kids a few hundred times, they don't believe anything you say, and they probably won't even listen.  And I don't blame them.  If you want them to take you seriously, you must stop lying about everything.  And you must do so for the rest of your life.  And you also have the impossible task of getting all other adults to stop lying to them.  You can't do that, so your job is hopeless.

Blantant lies have become so utterly "socially acceptable" (and absolutely mandated by predators-DBA-government), that about 99.999% humans have crossed the sanity "event horizon", and have no way to recover their sanity.  This could have been stopped, but humans have gone so far beyond the event horizon at this point, no return is possible.

Hahaha... thanks for the thought.  But the only time I get non-relaxed is when I read and respond in ZH.  The rest of the time I'm alone here in the boonies, 125km from the nearest human being.

No TV, no radio, no newspapers, no humans... nothing BUT reality.  The land around me and the sky above me are relaxing.  So all I need to relax is... avoid looking at ZH, my one annoying addiction (my others addictions being healthy, pleasant, relaxing addictions).

The universe, the natural earth (especially where I live), everything real except human beings is relaxing.  I love reality... except those 99.999% of humans who are hopelessly insane.  Thus I have no interest in escaping reality, only escaping human beings.  Which I've mostly done, except for that tiny keyhole on humanity that is ZH.

No, No, No.   You are mistaking  by putting a value on an Implementation Methodology.  Whether they execute it correctly.

That's not the point. The question is the DEA's WHOLE mission scope. Which., by and large, is a natural outgrowth of the War On Drugs.

The question is:  Should we look at who really profits from the War On Drugs, and whether our government should be putting so much effort into it.

Sigmund Freud is historically accused of unleashing the Third Scourge on humanity. The First Scourge is Alcohol, and the Second Scourge is tobacco while the Third Scourge is Cocaine. Freud made a huge mistake in terms of advocacy for the therapeutic administration of Cocaine back when he advocated using it when he wrote Uber Coca. As one that has studied Freud extensively I know he did not fully understand the mechanisms of addictions and would be astonished to see how many people are addicted to cocaine today. As a student of Freud it is my responsibility to circumvent the fallout from Freud's introduction of Cocaine to the World. If I am successful in terms of getting cocaine classified as a neurotoxin on the federal drug classification system, I will be able to undo the damage that Freud has unwittingly wrought on contemporary society. This, in turn, would be a significant feather in my cap in Experimental Psychology and I would get historical recognition for my ideas in Experimental Psychology. ERGO, that would enable me to get a real job with real funding!!!!

Hey, if you drink clorox bleach or windex (ammonia) or any number of other day-to-day chemicals, will that harm your neurons (be a "neurotoxin")?  Of course!

I'm sure many other chemicals that have other purposes would also be harmful to drink.  So what?  You want to outlaw every last chemical that has harmful consequences?  How about sugar?  How about high fructose corn syrup (55% of which contains brain-damaging heavy metals including mercury)?

The list never ends.

You are clearly an advocate of totalitarian authoritarianism.  Everything you advocate is known to cause MORE consumption of dangerous materials, and all the punishment for consuming chemicals you want banned causes horrific harm to people who need help, not further harm.

You are apparently perfectly happy to see the entire lives ruined of everyone who makes the mistake of being peer-pressured to take potentially harmful substances.  Almost none of them will be able to become productive human beings in the future precisely because your approach paints a permanent, indelible "criminal" label on their record.

Even if you can't stop yourself from being an unapologetic supporter of totalitarian dictatorship, you should at least demand that only the SELLER is guilty of a crime, on the basis they sold a poison for consumption.  But even that is dictatorship, so no honest, ethical individual would support that, no matter how much that might seem right to you.

You want to earn a comfortable living by destroying millions of lives.  Very despicable.

Sorry, but anyone who says "I intend to have you locked up for not obeying commands I issue" is a predator.  When you want to personally implement actions like these, and fund others who take actions like these, then you are even more predatory.

Just because authoritarianism has been jammed into human beings from the day they begin to learn language, and overt brainwashing for decades has resulted in most humans accepting authoritarianism, does NOT forgive you for advocating and implementing such.

It is YOU who want to control my life, and the lives of billions of others (everyone on earth if you get the chance).  I do NOT want to control you life.

THAT IS THE POINT.

This necessarily means that you ARE a predator.  Not primarily as a pejorative, but as the most precise fundamental description.  If you ARE an authoritarian, then ADMIT IT.  Then attempt to justify your ideas.

You don't.  Why not?  Address the issues.

Are you perfectly okay if everyone else on earth attempts to force you in whatever ways they wish?  To be consistent, YOU MUST.  You are no god (and there are none).  You are no "authority" (and there are none).  So if you advocate harming others, locking them in cages for years, destroying their future opportunities... you damn well better advocate everyone else on planet earth does their best to treat you the same way.

In the end, there are two ways for sentient creatures to function on a planet.

#1:  Everyone is free to make all their own decisions, take any actions they wish, and generally run their own life, as long as they harm nobody else.

#2:  Everyone attempts to force everyone else to accept their decisions, take no action they prohibit, always take actions they mandate, and generally be enslaved by everyone else.

No third options exist, the above two exhaust all possibilities.  You might say, "well, I don't want to make EVERY decision for everyone", but that is an utterly bogus objection for many reasons.  First, the age of the universe is insufficient to formulate demands for every possible decision or action a human might take.  Second, you have not provided any reason that anyone should accept ANY demand from ANY other human being.  Third, since it is YOU who decide which demands you will make, in principle you can add new demands at any time (even retroactively if you're like modern authoritarians).  And so forth.

So if you bother to answer with some content, some defense of your position, please answer whether you think you and others would be better off living on planet #1 or planet #2.  And state why?  And where you get your fictitious authority.  And don't point to anyone else, including some fictitious entity like god or government, because it is YOU who advocate authoritarianism in your messages.  That was your decision.  So defend it.  And do answer the question, you prefer to live on planet #1 or planet #2... and why.

And explain how I am wrong.  You want to destroy my life if I do not follow EVERY directive you support.  I do not want to harm you, much less destroy your life.  So how can you say my claim that you are a predator and I am not be anything but FACTUALLY ACCURATE and very much on point?

-----

PS:  You need to have yourself thrown in a cage for a few years, all your savings confiscated, your ability to get a job permanently ruined... all because you violated some demand issued by some predatory authoritarian.  And THEN come back and tell me how wonderful you consider predatory authoritarianism.  Or better yet, have all that happen to you because some scum-sucking cop high on his "authority" plants drugs in your car, or simply claims you had drugs in your car.  And after a few years you find you are super lucky and they figure out what happens and let you go.  Still worth living on a predatory authoritarian planet?  You can't answer that question until you actually go through that experience.  And don't laugh at my formulation.  With over a million pages of "laws", and untold billions of pages of "regulations", you should DEFINITELY be in jail for life.  And everyone should, if you accept authoritarianism like you do.

Honestann, re-read my posts. I have not suggested locking people up. I am merely advocating education with respect to Cocaine. Everyone in society should be taught that cocaine is a neurotoxin, and is neurotoxic to the brain in any amount. This means that cocaine taken in any amount can, and does, cause real, and not imagined, central nervous system damage. Children are not taught that cocaine can damage their brains. Schools do not actually tell children that cocaine is a neurotoxin. They give students no literature regarding neurotoxicity and the brain. Most people in society think cocaine is a stimulant drug because that's how pharmacology classifies it. Nowhere in the advisory classifications does it indicate that Cocaine is a neurotoxin. This allows the bureaucratic policy wonks to avoid classification based on neurotoxicity. Educators teach based on advisory recommendation that is imparted through policy. If Government does not classify based on neurotoxicity no warnings to potential victims of cocaine will be forthcoming. ERGO, the only solution is informed consent and basic education on the brain, and drugs that are commonly used.

Note: Please Google _transference neurosis_, Honestann.

You are wacko if you think kids understand what "neurotoxin" means.  Therefore, your complaint that kids are not told "cocaine is a neurotoxin" is absurd.  Now, are kids told "cocaine is harmful"?  Are kids told "cocaine will mess up your brain"?  If not, you live on a different planet than I do.

If there actually is some real place on earth where a kid could grow up and NOT be told cocaine is bad news... then that is a very strange place indeed.

More likely the problem is... kids have no way to know how bad cocaine, whiskey, wine, beer, froot loops, chef boyardee ravioli and endless other consumable items are, because they are never informed how terrible the usual crap most people eat is.

Far, far, far worse, kids are not told how horrific and destructive authoritiarianism is.  Just the opposite.  They are forced EVERY FREAKING DAY to stand up, place their hands over their hearts, and pledge obedience to a piece of cloth, and then told pledging obedience is what constitutes "liberty and justice for all".

In case you don't get the subtext of the above couple paragraphs, I'll say it explicitly.  Kids are lied to nearly every minute of every day.  While they absorb and nominally believe vastly too much BS, they can't help but recognize that virtually if not every adult and "authority" they've ever encountered is a MASSIVE LIAR.

And so, when someone like you tells them "cocaine is a neurotoxin", or even just "cocaine is absolutely horrible mind-destroying chemical rot"... they will not know whether to believe you or assume you are just feeding them more of the typical lies and BS that adults and mainstream media jam down their throats every minute of every day.

I have to laugh at the notion someone like you would choose an issue like this and make such a huge deal about it.  You want cocaine declared a neurotoxin.  Who gives a crap when they don't know what a neurotoxin is?  Who gives a crap when 55% of products containing high fructose corn syrup contain heavy metal neuro-toxins, and these products are consumed by vastly, vastly, vastly greater numbers of kids and adults alike.

It is almost like you point at one star in the galaxy and make a huge deal about that star.  Sorry, there are hundreds of billions more in the galaxy, and they are just as significant as the one you choose to make a big deal of.

Is cocaine really, really, really bad stuff.  I assume so without proof (and in my case, without any evidence).  All I know is, I don't want anything that might harm my brain or mind, and I know of hundreds of concepts that are just as harmful as cocaine.  Like "authority".  Like "nation".  Like "law".

If you want to choose this narrow mission, I have a better idea for you.  Take a bunch of kids to a hospital and show them kids going through cocaine withdrawal or other nasty consequences.  Or perhaps even better, take them to a mental institution full of kids whose brains are permanently fried by cocaine and other "bad stuff" (including alcohol).  You will cause vastly more positive consequences this way, because you aren't playing games with words (especially words they won't understand, but will cause cops and DAs to totally destroy their lives).

Or perhaps best of all, teach them about individualism.  Teach them not to believe ANYTHING that ANYONE says.  EVER.  Once they do that, you will have accidentally protected them from "peer pressure", which is likely the reason 90% of those who take cocaine did so in the first place.

And make no mistake, peer pressure and authority pressure are responsible for many thousands times more harm and destruction than any single issue you might choose.  If you want to help them, convince them to TRUST NO ONE.  Not the "cool" or "popular" kids at school.  Not their teachers.  Not their parents.  Not the television.  NOBODY.  Show them how most people on this planet, either individually or behind the banner of some fiction like "corporation" or "government" are absolutely scruple-free predators who attempt to screw them over in endless ways.

You will do 100,000 times more good than any word games you could possibly play, whether you are fully accurate or full of crap.  Because what is "written down", what is "published", and what is "official" has less than zero relationship with reality or honesty or what is important to them.

And if you're worried about "informed consent", why not get out there and destroy those humans who call themselves government, because they DEMAND that our consent is irrelevant and we must obey whatever they say... PERIOD.  If you care about consent, then you ought to NOT care about the word games human predators play, and fight the central "informed consent" issue of all time, the gun-backed, cage-backed, death-backed demand that they can do anything they wish to you, me and everyone else, and our consent is entirely irrelevant.

But I guess you don't care about that, huh?  You want to join them.  You want to be paid by them directly or indirectly.  And as such, you necessarily want to assure millions more kids get locked up in cages or killed, rather than helped.

And from a personal perspective, let me say this about "policy wonks".  No human being on this planet, or any other planet, has any right to make policy that has anything to do with my life, your life, or the lives of anyone else.  And those so-called "educators" you mention inject infinitely more (and more deadly) abstract fictional neurotoxins into human brains than all the cocaine every produced.  Those so-called policy-wonks and educators are human predators, and a huge part of the problem.

No sane individual would shove unknown substances down their throats (or up their noses), including kids.  The reason kids and adults take such actions is... they are not sane, they have been made radically insane by parents, teachers, friends, media and various predators posing as authorities.  THAT is why kids take mind-destroying chemicals.  THAT is why kids make life destroying decisions.  THAT is why humans are an utterly failed species.  THAT is why humans are finished.  And that is why your efforts are pointless.

Ah, come on now.  Give the poor DEA guys a break.  Look, you're an agent posted in Cartagena.  You dragged your ass into the office around 9:30, went to three long meetings to discuss new procedures for handling evidence, paperwork processing and handling informants.  You went to the usual place for lunch with your Columbian counterparts and ate way too much food.  You almost fell asleep at an afternoon training session on diversity in the federal workplace.  In other words, a long day of tough federal employment.  So, the Columbian guys take you out for cervezas and a little downtime with the local (admitedly beautiful) ladies and someone--who knows who exactly--picks up the tab.  Innocent enough, right?  Could happen to anyone.

On a more serious note, why does the US even need the DEA?  With Obama opening the border for new Democrats . . . er, immigrants . . . , why bother worrying about dope getting into the country?  Hell, most states will have legalized pot in a few more years anyway.  What a waste of time and money.  The fact that we've got agents wining and dining with cartel-provided prostitutes only serves to prove that the entire agency is now surplus.

The Balkans . yet again comes to mind .. http://www.thebellforum.com/showthread.php?t=16038     The drug trade in the Balkans generates hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Although American media reports coming out of Kosovo before and during the NATO war worried about the penury of Kosovo Albanian "freedom fighters," the KLA did not have to conduct bake sales to raise money for their arms. "Kosovo Albanians used drug money to buy weapons in Italy [and] sent them to Kosovo," Agence France- Presse reported in June 1999.19

Western sources knew that the drugs- for- arms trade was flourishing. The European Union in Brussels in 1994 published a report saying that traffickers from Macedonia and Kosovo paid for weapons with heroin.20 Jane's Intelligence Review noted the link between Albanian criminal gangs, who distribute heroin, and Central Asians, who supply heroin and get weapons by raiding the armories of the former U.S.S.R., "a multi- billion dollar enterprise."21 In June, State Department spokesman Jamie Rubin said with a straight face that the U.S. government "never identified credible evidence of drug running charges."22 But the London Daily Telegraph wrote in April that Christopher Hill, U.S. chief negotiator and architect of the Rambouillet Agreement, was a "strong critic of the KLA for its alleged dealings in drugs."23    Fine a war the USSA or NATO is involved in .. and you will find the connecting factor to every kind fo perversion .. drugs, human trafficking .. we have met the BEAST and it is USSA.

Are  you honestly surprized?

That is what prohibition was for in the 1920's.

That is what prohibition is for today.

It provides the Cartels with increased price for their products and selective enforcement to keep the small time players, the 'Tony Montana' types out.  And it provides governments with ample opportunity to expand.

There is a reason why all the glitterati and even politicians are well known to indulge in illegal drugs without consequence that would land the rest of us in prison.

It is about meal tickets all around that otherwise would not exist.

The 'War on Drugs' is just another policy for sale... and the buyers are the cartels themselves.

Thankfully, the rest of the executive branch is pure as the driven snow and this aberration will be dealt with in an appropriately punitive fashion.

Drugs are illegal because the police and corrections officers would have a 75% chance of being out of a job the next year.  Yes, it's that simple.

It wasn't quite clear to me....were these female or male prostitutes? Or perhaps some of each? ...and a few trannies thrown in, just for political correctness.

Hard to believe the shot callers are halfway around the world in an innocent little place that makes clocks and chocolate (well, they don't make it, they steal it, like your water in California but that's another story...) OCTOGON - Fortress Alps. It's not a BANK. It's a VAULT!

Some wise guy said it would be the level of hypocrisy that would bring the whole charade down. Real nice. Think on all the peeps the DEA has put away for the very thing they've been doing. Not only put people away, but sign them up as slaves to corporations when thet're put in the slammer. These guys should be shot right between the eyes with a frozen ball of their own shit.
