America's Warfare State Revolution

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Jacob Hornberger via The Future of Freedom Foundation,

It is impossible to overstate the magnitude of the warfare-state revolution that transformed the federal government and American society after World War II. The roots of America’s foreign-policy crises today, along with the massive infringements on civil liberties and privacy and the federal government’s program of secret indefinite incarceration, torture, assassination, and extra-judicial executions can all be traced to the grafting of a national-security apparatus onto America’s federal governmental system in the 1940s.

Certainly, the seeds for what happened in the post-WWII era were sown prior to that time, specifically in the move toward empire, which, interestingly enough, occurred during the same period of time that Progressives were inducing Americans to abandon their system of economic liberty and free markets in favor of socialism and interventionism in the form of a welfare state and regulated economy.

I’m referring to the year 1898, when the U.S. government intervened in the Spanish American War, with the ostensible aim of helping the Cuban and Filipino people win their independence. It was a false and fraudulent intervention, one that was actually designed to place Cuba and the Philippines under the control of the U.S. government. The result was a brutal war in the Philippines between U.S. forces and the Filipino people, along with a never-ending obsession to control Cuba, one that would ending up becoming a central focus of the national-security state.

A national-security state and an empire certainly weren’t among the founding principles of the United States. In fact, the revolution in 1776 was against an empire that the British colonists in America no longer wanted to be part of. They were sick and tired of the endless wars and ever-increasing taxes, regulations, and oppression that come with empire and overgrown military establishments.

In fact, there was a deep antipathy toward standing armies among the Founding Fathers. The words of James Madison, the father of the Constitution, reflect the mindset of our American ancestors:

A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence agst. foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.

What about foreign interventionism? The speech that John Quincy Adams delivered to Congress on the 4th of July, 1821, entitled “In Search of Monsters to Destroy,” expressed the sentiments of our predecessors. Adams pointed out that there were lots of bad things in the world, things like tyranny, oppression, famines, and the like. He said though that America would not send troops to slay these monsters. Instead, America would build a model society of freedom right here at home for the people of the world. In fact, if America ever became a military empire that would engage in foreign interventionism, Adams predicted, it would fundamentally change the character of American society, one that would look more like a society under dictatorial rule.

That’s not to say that 19th-century America was a libertarian paradise with respect to warfare, any more than it was a libertarian paradise in general, as I pointed out in my article “America’s Welfare-State Revolution.” But the fact is that there was no overgrown military establishment, no CIA, no NSA, no conscription, no foreign interventionism, and no foreign aid (and no income tax, IRS, Federal Reserve, and fiat money to fund such things).

There was a basic military force but in relative terms it wasn’t very large. There were also wars, such as the War of 1812, the Civil War, and the Mexican War, and many military skirmishes, but with the exception of the Civil War, the casualties were relatively low, especially compared with such foreign wars as World War I and World War II.

Moreover, it was an established practice to demobilize after each war. That is, a permanent war machine and perpetual war were not built into the system. War and military interventionism were the exception, not the rule.

That all changed with the embrace of a national-security establishment after World War II. In his Farewell Address in 1961, President Eisenhower observed that the national-security state — or what he called the military-industrial complex — constituted an entirely new way of life for the American people, one that entailed what amounted to a new, permanent warfare-state branch of the federal government, consisting of an overgrown military establishment, a CIA, and an NSA, along with an army of private-sector contractors and subcontractors who were feeding at the public trough on a permanent basis.

Most significantly, Ike pointed out that this national-security apparatus constituted a grave threat to the liberties and democratic processes of the American people.

This revolutionary transformation was justified in the name of “national security,” which have become the two most important words in the American lexicon, notwithstanding the fact that no one has ever been able to define the term. The warfare-state revolution would be characterized by an endless array of threats to national security, beginning with communism and communists, the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, and others, and later morphing into Saddam Hussein, terrorism, terrorists, Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, ISIS, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, the Taliban, and even the Muslims.

In the process, Adams proved right. By grafting a totalitarian-like structure onto America’s federal governmental system, the United States began displaying the characteristics of a dictatorial society.

Assassination, torture, rendition, secret prisons, medical experiments on unsuspecting Americans, the hiring of Nazis, indefinite detention, partnerships with criminal organizations and foreign dictators, coups, sanctions, embargoes, invasions, undeclared wars, wars of aggression, and extra-judicial executions. When any of those types of things occurred in the 19th century, they were considered exceptions to the system. Now they have become permanent parts of the system.

And look at the results of this gigantic warfare-state transformation: ever-increasing infringements on liberty and privacy, ever-increasing spending, debt, and taxes, and ever-increasing anger and hatred toward our country. Yes, all the things that characterized the British Empire that British colonists revolted against in 1776. How’s that for irony?

Meanwhile, like the welfare state, modern-day Americans continue to remain convinced that their system of government has never changed in a fundamental way. They continue to play like their governmental system is founded on the same constitutional principles as when the country was founded. It is a supreme act of self-deception.

The truth is that America has now had two different governmental systems: One without a national-security apparatus and one with it. It seems to me that it’s a no-brainer as to who was right and which system was better in terms of freedom, privacy, peace, prosperity, and harmony.

why shoot 'them'?  While 'they' are the ones driving the progressive car and all the different facets of it's subversive agenda, Americans have bought into the agenda one way or other.  Even the so-called limited govt conservatives believe in police state prohibition and the national security warfare apparatus and notions of 'If someone is doing something naughty and we have the power, it's moral to war against them'.  Even if we only selectively war again 'them'

If you just shoot 'them', there's always another progressive cretin to drop his arse into the drivers seat.  The revolution has to start with 'us'.  Americans are completely ignorant of a man named George Whitefield, a traveling preacher in America before the American Revolution who made Americans spiritually able to have our revolution.

48% of the billionaires in the world belong to a specific tribe.

http://politicsinn.com/48-percent-of-u-s-billionaires-are-jewish/

According to Forbes, there are only 10 of the tribe in the top 50 richest though:

http://www.timesofisrael.com/10-jews-in-forbes-top-50-billionaires/

I went through the lists from past years, and it seems like Forbes has been cutting some people off the lsit that are still in the top 50 nominally.

Naw, there's no bias here. It's all the American's (white man's) fault for his folly and poverty. Has nothing to do with thieving Zionists....

Ah, so better systems will fix everything, got it.  You are fool to believe that.  Any system can and will be manipulated by the thieving, conniving criminal class.

The only "system" that stands a chance of not having humans dictate to other humans is the one where there are no humans involved.  Of course, the machines will decide to exterminate us for our own safety.

LOL, systems.

This! You should see the faces on people when I try to explain to them that we're not supposed to have an ever present military. They call me unpatriotic and a hater of our verterans. WTF?!?! I try explaining to them we shouldn't have "veterans", that many of the conflicts they were part of should never have happened. Still, I'm the bad guy despite the fact that the country's ideals have drifted so far off course. I'm reluctantly getting more and more used to the deer in the headlights response from people, which is sad.

Calm down, don't get angry, and use the Socratic method with them.  The cognitive dissonance will still fight back, but ask them about why we were in Vietnam and Iraq.  Lead them to the conclusion that those wars never should have been fought.  Unplugging from the matrix is very, very difficult and very, very uncomfortable.  You want them to understand your point of view so that it is much harder for them to condemn you for it.  You are dealing with deeply ingrained cultural values that they have never questioned.

And be nice to the troops.  Most of them were duped into believing that they were doing good.  You want them to turn on their masters if their masters turn on us.

They are true believers. Some Socratic questions:
For whose glory would they die? Who benefits from their "sacrifice"? Is Bush, Obama or McCain their choice for a master? If a thousand die for a system, is it then a good system? Which judges on the Supreme Court decide for you?

Is their god, aka the American fantasy, dead? What is difference between the master race, God's chosen, or the exceptional American? Doubt is the beginning of enlightenment.

There is no good king. There is no free government. Exceptional, master race or chosen are delusions to control you, by flattery. I am my master. They are my enslavers.

I've no qualms with the troops. I tip my hat to them, and I pity them for the crap they have to deal with when returning home (VA BS for one). I just don't agree with the belief that every conflict we're involved with is for 'Murica and stamping democracy on it. Sorry if my rant suggested otherwise.

But you're right, people have been spoon fed this way of thinking for years, so it's gonna be hard for them to vomit it all back up.

The 'Holocaust' For Dummies

Various Internet Sources - 6-11-2009

1. In 1939, there were officially nearly 15,700,000 Jews in the world.(1) After the Second World War, that number had risen to over 18,000,000 Jews.(2) What this means is that of the 15,700,000 original Jews on the planet, 6,000,000 were allegedly gassed, leaving only some 9,000,000-plus Jews on Earth. However, the world Jewish population somehow rebounded - and doubled - to over 18,000,000 in less than nine years-an astronomical feat.

2. From the beginning, there was always the 'SIX MILLION' of which 4,000,000 were allegedly gassed at Auschwitz. Then, in 1990, it was discovered that only 1.5 million were supposedly gassed at Auschwitz, a difference of 2.5 million less. Yet, the sacred Six Million figure remained untouched and unchallenged, even though no instant replacement for the 2.5 million was ever found.

3. During this time frame, the Director of the Auschwitz State Museum, Dr. Franciszek Piper, announced that the so-called gas chamber there had been fabricated by the Soviets AFTER the war (as a propaganda device to keep the world focused on the evils of Nazi Germany while the Bolshevik communists continued to consume as much of Europe as they could). Dr. Piper's statement is on videotape.

4. But there's more. The International Red Cross, formally and officially reported that less than 300,000 internees of all nationalities in the German camps died of all causes, including old age. And of these, barely more than half were Jews. Most of these died in several severe typhoid epidemics caused by wartime conditions, which claimed many lives throughout Germany - including those of doctors, nurses and camp administrative personnel. (3)

5. Even these deaths were too much for the German authorities. On December 8, 1942, Heinrich Himmler, chief commandant of all detention facilities, issued an order stating categorically: "The death rate in the camps must be reduced at all costs."

6. In all of German-occupied Europe there were 2.4 million Jews. After the war, 3.8 million Jews claimed "survivor" benefits from the German government.

7. It was a miracle. According to The New York Times of Sunday, January 4, 1987, celebrated survivor Elie Wiesel recalled "the day the Soviets arrived at Auschwitz." However, in a speech to the National Press Club in Washington D.C., reported by the Jewish Telegraph Agency on April 11, 1983, he had a different recollection. (4) He noted that he was "one of the survivors liberated at Dachau by the U.S. Army" on April 15, 1945-and thus became the only prisoner of war to hold the distinction of being liberated from two different camps in World War II.

8. Not to be outdone by The Wiesel, famous "Nazi-hunter" Simon Wiesenthal died serenely at age 96, knowing that, according to BBC News, he had personally survived no fewer than 12 Nazi "death camps."

9. In 1948, a story appeared about a hapless Jewish girl who was done in by the Nazis. It was written with a ballpoint pen, something that did not appear on the market until after the war. It was called "The Diary of Anne Frank." This document remains highly controversial to this day.

10. So, where did this 'SIX MILLION' figure come from? For that, we must go back to one Ilya Ehrenburg (5), chief Soviet propagandist during the Second World War who later died in Israel. It was Ehrenberg who first coined the mystic number on Dec. 22, 1944 long before tens of thousands of Jewish internees in German camps, given the choice of staying to be 'liberated" by the Communists or fleeing West with their German captors, did not hesitate to choose the latter option.

You are encouraged to do you own research on these and scores of other questions relating to World War 2 and the German concentration labor camps.

Notes
1- The American Jewish Committee cites a figure of 15,688,259.
2- The Jewish-owned New York Times for Feb. 22, 1948, uses a figure of 18,700,000.
3- When the Red Cross interviewed thousands of freed camp inmates at the end of the war, asking whether they had witnessed alleged "gassings," the response was universally negative. According to IRC document #9925, June, 1946: "The detainees themselves have not spoken of them."
4- In his book Legend of Our Time, New York, 1982, The Weasel explained: "Things are not that simple, Rebbe. Some events do take place but are not true; others are - although they never occurred."
5-The monstrous lies of this Jewish psychopath succeeded in creating a climate of rabid, anti-German hate which led to the death of millions. Here is a typical example of the genocidal daily fare served up to Soviet troops, taken from an Oct. 1944 leaflet to the Red Army: "Kill! Nothing in Germany is guiltless, neither the living nor the yet unborn. Follow the words of Comrade Stalin and crush the fascist beast in its lair. Break the racial pride of the German woman. Take her as your legitimate booty. Kill, you brave soldiers of the glorious Soviet army!"

It absolutely astounds me the level of selective cognitive dissonance &/or programming that, presumably 'smart' individuals can apply to, say, BOTH, the data sets involved in 9/11, & 'The Holocaust'...

I mean... WTFF??? Any 'THINKING' person, by now must have figured out that NOTHING makes sense out of the official 'reportage' on 9/11...

As for the holocaust... Well, it's tougher to actually come to any full conclusions, but a simple application of the 'smell test' [as is admittedly easier to do with regards to 9/11 because it was witnessed by most alive today], inevitably leads one to surmise that:

- from Larry Silverstein insurance policies

- to Dancing Israelis

- to military jet 'stand downs'

- to non-existent flight numbers

- to non existent airline crash debris & bodies

- to buildings 'reported' falling down 20 minutes before they did

- to pristine passports

- etc. etc.

I mean... WTF?... What is 'CLEAR' is that some buildings came down & there's a story about it...

Holocaust? ~ A thinking person would conclude that there is some degree of truth & fiction involved in the official story... Yet HARDLY ANYONE is willing to delve into it in a manner in the same way that they've managed to pick apart 9/11 & conclude it [9/11], to be utter rubbish...

Yet ball point pens were not produced until very late in the war, in ARGENTINA by Biro who fled Germany. Biro didn't get a patent until 1943, in Argentina, (the first couple of manufacturing attempts were flops) and his pens didn't show up until late 1945 or so, in ARGENTINA, so its very, very unlikely that it got into the hands of a Jewish schoolgirl hiding in an attic/basement/whatever when she was supposed to have written the Diary...

Any real ballpoint pens during WWII would be truly expensive, even priceless, and of extremely *poor* quality, with many smudges - Biro didn't solve the uniform delivery problem until 1945, after the European war was over.

Nope. That's the illusion, that 'They' are enslaving us.

Ever look at photos of the fat little old men and the hags that are supposedly 'in charge' ? They can't do a Damned thing themselves. But they can fool those who pull the triggers and push the nuke buttons - into enslaving their fellows and killing all life on the planet. How truly stupid are the blind order followers ? How much do they believe in 'authority'. How much did their stupid parents help brainwash them ? How dumbed down & apathetic is the population to just go along with it all ?

It's likely that less than 1% of humanity understands that the real cause for and solution to the insanity in this world, stares back at them from their bathroom mirrors.

If Liberty were more important to people than 'security' and their lives, we would have Liberty - - and greater real security.

I just don't get it. All countries were bankrupt in 1933. I'm not sure that is relevant. And I don't read anything in the 14th Amendment which is a take over of the country. And we can own Gold and Gold Certificates today.

I see the Federal Reserve Act as a bigger threat, since all banks can charge interest and fees for complicated systems and rules that they put in place including our huge US Federal Income Tax Code which congress admits back in 1968 that fail with wealthy paying no tax at all by gaming the system.

Most of the Strong US Federal Government is just a transfer of Taxpayer dollars to Corporations...including MEDICARE, MEDICAID, Pharmaceuticals, MIC Intelligence & Security Spending, Construction, whatever.

Too many problems and rip offs to list here.

'Social programs'

ah yes, how could people survive without them ?

The geniuses in government create material goods out of thin air, and distribute them to the needy

OR they take those material goods from everyone using various methods (taxes, printing fiat, etc) - then take a huge cut for 'administration & enforcement', and pass out the poor table scraps that are left.

The brainwashing has worked well, however.

@harbanger - IMO that is why one must always be skeptical concerning a 'new People's money'. This is proposed by Still, Brown, etc.
The insiders will always seek to control such a money and 'The People' will have no understanding or control of it. Always be very skeptical when the demagogues talk about "the Will of the People".
Better to have a free competition in monies. PMs have a record of success in this, but let's see what might also come about.

If it were so easy. Unfortunately there are people who want control, for who knows what reason. I always wondered myself why anyone would want more than they need but I have never been able to come up with a clear answer that makes any logical sense. I can give a prime example: I had a friend in college who was very wealthy and frugal, so frugal they went to a community college with me. He was always telling me he needed more money (he already had an eight figure stash) and one day I asked him why he needed more. The only response he could come up with was: Becuase I want it. Again, I asked what for and he couldn't ever come up with a reasonable explanation other than he wanted it. I don't know about anyone else here but I can say for sure that if I was able to scrounge seven figures in my savings, I would be done saving with no need for any more. But I'm a simple, realistic person and I would expect that my children (not that I will ever have any) pave their own road like I did and I would leave nothing for them or anyone else and expect them to do the same. My money will all be spent and recycled back into the economy when I'm gone. There is no use for it after death. I'm a firm believer that if you can't survive on your own, you don't deserve to survive at all. The animals have already figured this out and humans knew it at one point to. Leave the weak to die or be dragged down with them.

If I ever had the opportunity to ask one of the banksters who has some "end-game" plan for power and control over others I would only have one question: How is that going to improve your life and why would you do that anyway? You already have everything you could possibly need for the next 100 generations of your family. What is the fucking point?

It is amazing the number of idiot liberal economists that do not understand a key component of capitalism is regeneration of capital. In my first small business in the late 70s the $20K my partner and I borrowed and plowed into our business paid back in the end with millions in sales and $190K in total average wages per year for 7 people ( for quite a number of years).

This is the multiplier effect we miss today. There is no small business regeneration of capital today because banks have no incentive to lend. All banks borrow from the fed at near zero percent and buy investments to collect the spread. This is far less risky than lending to business because it is guaranteed. Because there is no lending to smaller business there is no capital regeneration to create the flood of jobs that normally follow a bust like the one that occurred in 2008.

Then we have the idiot liberal politicians who are obsessed with creating powerful big government bureaucracy in the form of socialist welfare states. They believe that government must fulfill the role of job creator (formerly by capitalist’s small business) through borrowing (debt) to build a welfare entitlement state. This welfare entitlement state serves the purpose of creating power in government while subjugating millions of sheeple to a total dependency to the state. This suppression of labor causes these sheeple to elect and reelect those who promise even more for there is no longer any hope by those trapped in this system.

While this welfare entitlement state is being built capitalism is being destroyed. The state will no longer allow a competitor. The only businesses that are allowed to stay afloat are those that mimic the rules of the welfare entitlement state. These crony-capitalist businesses pay homage to the state politicians with large donations to their campaigns and support the rules of the welfare entitlement state.

The net result is that socialist welfare states can be seen all over the world as capitalism dies. Job creation is minimal as more sheeple demand more government hand outs.  Soon huge percentages of the working age populations are on welfare. People demand more and more from government as business dies. And governments become mega debt ridden, inefficient, corrupt and bloated from trying to expand the socialist welfare state with nothing to support it.

And then as all social experiments and debt bubbles… It someday ends badly…

The MIC will always need a credible boogeyman to justify its existence. For years this role was played by the Soviet Union. We were told to be afraid of commies in Moscow, in the State Department, in Hollywood, and under every bed. Then, suddenly, came the end of Ivan, and the MIC was threatened with irrelevance, even dissolution. We the People were beginning to wonder aloud about a "peace dividend." Obviously, this could not be allowed.

The MIC solution was to replace the Soviet menace with the terrorist menace. Really, you have to admire the psychopathic brilliance of this move, since terrorism is a conceptual boogeyman that will never expire or be deposed. Multiple, ongoing wars are now our new normal, and saddest of all, we seem to be getting used to it.

This post somehow brings to mind a High School Class Reunion I attented 5 years ago. We are all old enough now to have been set in our careers for 30 years. So when you talk to people you can get a good insight into how they all made their livings after High School. My town School was small, my class was 145 students.

What amazed me was what we all ended up talking about. It was the Military. Because as Americans THIS was the common bond we men share. Over half of the men there were veterans, me included, but even more than that, there was our lives after military service, and those who went direct to college. The college kids grew up and from those I talked to, there we many who work for the big defense industries in the Minneapolis Metro Area. Plus we had students who went west and worked for giant defense industries out there. Our conversations revolved around missiles, torpedoes, radars, air craft and high explosives. I met a class mate who designed the explosives for Bunker Busters and other High Energy weapons. One class mate helped build the guidance for the type of torpedoes my ship used. One class mate knew the type of detection gear I operated in the Navy, as his father designed much of it. On and On it went.

By the end of the night, it seems half of our class was employed in military design and construction, the other half of average guys were all vets. Yes, Middle America, out where I live, is a totally militarized entity. It really hit home when you talk to a group you have known all your life.

The Romans did use the defense against foreign invasion in order to create domestic support.  However, the Romans indeed were invaded twice in the history of the Republic (500 BC-46 BC); once by Celtic tribes who took conquered all Rome except for the capitol and were only bought out by gold bribes.  Hannibal, the brilliant Carthingian general beat Roman armies all over Italy for 10 years (217 -207 BC); for centuries Roman Mothers would tell children to goto sleep or Hannibal, the boogey man would come.

America has no history of military  invasion.

Hence, the author's comparison is inaccurate.

Other than that a fine piece.

What is the military jargon for “Jade Helm” and what is the US military operation all about? Well, “Jade” is the China model and “Helm” is their successful method of disarming and subduing their citizens.

We know the Washington Empire of Fraud and Debt, the Communist Chinese and the United Nations agenda item of gun confiscation. That is their goal, to disarm the citizens so that they can’t resist their armed forces. The planned economic collapse will happen in the next few months and the military will be in place for full military Martial Law and gun confiscation; the NSA has the list of gun owners. After the confiscation period, possessing a fire arm may carry a death sentence.

For what purpose is the US military (not National Guard) practicing as part of the National Security Strategy ( not foreign) infiltrating and invading the 7 Western States at the same time as the economic collapse of the bankster American Empire of Debt and Fraud is happening? The puppet military and Pentagon will not say; it’s a secret.

Who are they going to infiltrate undercover? The club bars of the American Legion, VFW, Eagles, Elks, and Moose Lodges?

Who are they going to have a shootout with, the American Citizen, Bundy Bunch, Mormons, Sovereign Citizens, NRA, militia, local police or the County Sheriff Departments?

WARNING!! Operation “Jade Helm” will be conducted by 1,200 elite killer forces of the US military plus the NSA, BLM, CIA, FBI, DIA and other federal agencies in Arizona, Utah, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, California and Nevada from July 15 to September 15.

A few quotes from the founding fathers of America (and others) on the reason we should not keep a standing army as the military/industrial/congressional congress seems to think otherwise (full article at http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-biggest-threat-to-american-liberty/5440015):

James Madison: “A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence agst. foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.”

Patrick Henry: “A standing army we shall have, also, to execute the execrable commands of tyranny; and how are you to punish them? Will you order them to be punished? Who shall obey these orders? Will your mace-bearer be a match for a disciplined regiment?”

Henry St. George Tucker in Blackstone’s 1768 Commentaries on the Laws of England: “Wherever standing armies are kept up, and when the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.”

Commonwealth of Virginia in 1788: “… that standing armies in time of peace are dangerous to liberty, and therefore ought to be avoided, as far as the circumstances and protection of the community will admit; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to and governed by the civil power.”

Pennsylvania Convention: “… as standing armies in time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military shall be kept under strict subordination to and be governed by the civil power.”

US State Department website: “Wrenching memories of the Old World lingered in the 13 original English colonies along the eastern seaboard of North America, giving rise to deep opposition to the maintenance of a standing army in time of peace. All too often the standing armies of Europe were regarded as, at best, a rationale for imposing high taxes, and, at worst, a means to control the civilian population and extort its wealth.”

Protestant historian Eric Jon Phelps says that the 1868 Fourteenth Amendment, that made blacks US citizens was the crucial turning point in American history where power was transferred from the states to the federal government.

The 14th Amendment was a way of grabbing power for the Federal government over states rights.  After the 14th Amendment passed, Federal law took precedence over state law as we all became US citizens first, then state citizens.

The opposite was true before this 1868 law passed.  Of course that wasn't taught in our controlled education.

According to Phelps, foreign elements blocked the re-settlement of blacks back to Africa after the civil war and used the granting of US citizenship to blacks a way of making federal law take precedence over states rights.

This hidden agenda was to use minorities to grab greater centralized control from state to federal and later world domination by a hidden criminal cabal obsessed with power and control over the entire planet.

Blacks were used in a similar federal power grab with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that vastly expanded Federal-level, racism police regulatory powers, but in this case it was used for the power shift from federal to global control.

He describes how the federal government promotion of the population expansion of blacks and later hispanics through immigration, have been used as a federal power-grab to destroy American National Sovereignty and replace it with the New World Order (NWO).

This globalist power shift agenda is analogous to the British drawing up Iraq with three opposing factions making it far easier to control by foreigners - similar to a divide and conquer strategy.

The expansion of minority populations through federal immigration "reform" and welfare programs that rewarded illigitimacy at public expense, served the interests of those who seek to dilute a common American culture, heritage and sovereign national laws, paving the way for a NWO globalist takeover.

The next time you see advertisements showing inter-racial couples as a normal occurance, you are seeing the power of this hidden foreign control and manipulation furthering their "weakening of America" through minority population expansion and the globalist takeover agenda.

Just like their tarring with the racist brush anyone critical of Zionist Israeli policies, you can also expect a racist tarring if you even whisper the suggestion that minorities are being exploited by a hidden, foreign, NWO parasitic agenda.

The 14th was forced on the South. They were required to ratify before being allowed to re-enter the union.

Pretty obvious the problem here. If they weren't in the union when they ratified then how did the amendment get passed?

14th Amendment doesn't seem to say any of this above about this string.

I see 5 Sections of the 14th Amendment. Which Section is this guy talking about?

I'm not saying we don't have the situation in the USA today.

We have a strong Central Government that hides it's huge apparatus and it's huge activities in foreign countries. Many other things to like Global and Domestic Spy are not part of the Original Mandate or Charter of the USA. Nor is the hugely Fascist Trade Policy, Jobs Export Policy, and use of Slave Labor overseas. The power of the Federal Government is protected by a Cartel of MSM and is applied against the individual States. And the Foreign Wars for Corporations is well outlined by Smedley Butler era of 1880s. Come to think of it not long after the Civil War in which the 14th Amendment was inspired.

Growth of a country & protection of a country force us to deal with insidious issues like taxes. Still this doesn't mean we have to Defend Israel or have a Super Power Military or a huge Standing Army. It also doesn't support having complex government systems or Income Tax System or 17 Secret Intelligence Agencies.

Our Founding Documents try to preclude actions that are corruptive of government. I assert that the intent was to have a simple Federal Government with Streamlined Systems.

The entire reason the founders gave for going from the Articles to a Constitution was to have a strong central government. History records no Republic constitution ever survived. They were very educated people. They had to know this. By going to a constitution they (IMO) destroyed any chance of long lasting free state.

Also the fact that the first President signed into law the first central bank indicates they had no problems circumventing a constitution they designed. Adams was for sure a money man.

And finally the so called Bill of Rights was only added after several states refused to ratify for fear of losing their freedom and sovereignty. They lost both anyway.

Even though I think the Articles were better suited,,, IMO, no piece of paper can serve to keep a government in check. Only an educated and determined People can accomplish that. We have neither.

"...the warfare-state revolution that transformed the federal government and American society after World War II."

It was Johnson's "War on Poverty" where everything went exponential.
