I think it's great that they got a deal done with Iran. The sanctions regime was brutal and probably criminal, and this is a practical step towards peace in the region. Where are all the Isael-bashers to have my back on this one? No need to dump on the deal just because Obama and Joke Kerry will get some credit for it.

Hmm will I see nuclear weapons used in my lifetime? There used to be alot of anxiety about that during the cold war. Strangely now its all hohum its just politics as usual though Iran seems more likely to use a nuke than the ussr was.
There is plenty of reason for distrust on both sides. The point of concern to me is that they seem ready and willing to sacrifice themselves for their religion and country, while Americans (for the most part) aren't willing to sacrifice anything but their liberties. Makes you wonder why Muslims are willing to stand up to us. Their lack of fear of dying or our complete lack of will to do the same? The only thing I disagree with in your post is the term "safe nuclear". I don't see nuclear power as being safe at all. See, for example, TMI, Cherobyl and Fukushima. See also Hanford and the facility in New Mexico that had explosions of nuclear waste material last year. The oil will, eventually, run out and a prudent country will plan for it.

The state department came out making claims that they had reached new framework agreements with Iran to contain their nuclear program releasing $500 billion in the mean time. We are doing it again, removing more sanctions based on a framework that ultimately has no commitments at all. At this rate we will have removed all the sanctions and still be "negotiating"

Many of the US presidents have gone to DC to implement strongly held beliefs about the economy. Think Reagan, Nixon even Ford who had years of dealing in DC. Some like Clinton seemed to have other motives but seemed to keep informed about the monetary system. Obama shows little real understanding of this system and has very little experience in thinking about it beyond leftist slogans like 'share the wealth'. His background did not give him much exposure to economics not monetary problems at the world level. My guess is that when things go really bad he will be as surprised as any ordinary citizen...though he will probably be given enough warning to be able to read a speech convincingly. I have to wonder who is giving him advice and who he really listens to.

Lets do a little thought experiement, shall we?
Let say a popularly elected president, not the current nincompoop, lets say someone like kennedy was ousted in a military coup that everyone and their dog KNEW the UK was behind. Let us say then the puppet rulers of the USA for 25 years ran the show with an Iron fist and received buckets of aid form the UK.
Then the poeple finally gew a pair and ousted the puppet regiem and installed one that THEY wanted....and for shits and giglgles occupied the UK embassy taking hostages. And why wouldn't they? The UK was in fact an occupying power by proxy. After releasing the hostages after a year, then the USA embarked on a nuclear program because:
1. They observed that ANY country that did not trade using the UK pound got bombed,
2. That anyone that went along with the UK and gave up nuclear weapons got bombed and destroyed,
3. The only people the UK didn't push around were other nuclear armed states.
Now, take the above story and replace the UK with USA and USA with Iran and you have today.

There is a reason the Persians want nuclear weapons, lets go through the list shall we?
1. Sadamm hussien gave up his nuclear weapons and dared to trade oil for Euroes, daisies,
2. Mohamard kadaffi gave up his nuclear weapons and dared to trade his oil for gold, daisies,
3. Russia wants to trade its oil for anything it wants, but its armed to the teeth, left alone, harrassed, but left alone,
4. North Korea has maybe ONE atomic bomb and is stark raving mad, but the USA leaves it alone because they don't want an A bomb dropped on the seventh fleet.
The lesson, as taugh by the United States of America is:
If you have an atomic bomb(s) we will leave you alone, if not we will FUCK you at every opportunity.
