It is truly pathetic each time that I see a mail person make a delivery.
The mail person, "a carbon unit" picks up hundreds of items made out of a material called "paper", and referred to as "mail", from a central location, referred to as a "post office". They place the "mail" in their assigned land transporter. it is rumored that, in a part of Earth called the "United States", there are over 250,000 of these transporters called "mail delivery trucks" which emit millions of tons of CO2 per year. Apparently there is a CO2 shortage in the planet called Earth.
The mail person then transports the "mail" over roads to containers known as "mail boxes". Each piece of mail is then placed inside of "mail boxes" along their assigned delivery route. Any mail found in the "mail boxes" is picked up and brought back to the corresponding "post office"
Recently some carbon units in the "Unted States" have attempted to replace "mail delivery" by an electronic system referred to as the "Internet".
They were immediately classified as "terrorists" and promptly "neutralized" by the "leaders" of the "United States".

We paid 100k in taxes this year. My entire salary. There are no words to adequately describe my hatred of this government. The parasites that elected these parasites are beyond contempt.

Well if you paid $100K in taxes, somebody in your household must be making a hell of a lot more than $100K. As a household, you must be raking in about $300-400K to end up owing $100K tax.

We make 250k Believe it or not, 150k in San Diego does not go far. We live very frugally and this covers expenses without going into debt. However, we now have to use a HELOC for major expenses and pay it off over time because we cannot save for any capital improvements or a new car like we always had done in the past. Fuck you Fed.

Rents and unearned income are a very large part of the economy, perhaps 50%. This then pyramids via finance to the 1%. This 50% take far exceeds taxes. And besides, taxes are refluxed back into the economy to then stimulate more demand - maybe even to buy more Chinese crap.
Finance and Oligarchy work to subvert government, to let their in-group become untaxed. The tax burden then falls on the middle class.
In other words, middle class IS funding welfare for BOTH the rich and the poor. This squeeze is exacerbated as middle class is also losing jobs due to wall street and finance outsourcing jobs (to then make wage arbitrage).

I’m not angry like some people who are ranting today because they think the majority of their tax dollars are used to put roofs over black heads, or food in brown babies' stomachs. I’m not angry like the peace activists, who wish they could stop their tax dollars from funding war.
I'm angry, thinking about how hard it is for me to write this check and wipe out my special savings account, where I sock away money all year to cover my taxes, when:
• There are people who make ten times my income who pay NO taxes AT ALL.
• There are people who make 100 times and a thousand times my income who pay NO taxes AT ALL.
• There are corporations, with profits that are ten thousand times (and more) of my income who pay NO taxes AT ALL.
They have ways to hide money overseas… that I can't take advantage of. They use loopholes I can't take advantage of.
I do get ONE loophole, the mortgage interest deduction, for which I am extremely grateful; but which may close if some people get their way.
Huge profitable companies like Boeing and Verizon and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp are not writing a big check today. They are getting money back with an effective NEGATIVE tax rate.
Even the wealthy, who are paying taxes, pay a much lower effective tax rate than I do.
I pay both halves of the FICA on my whole income, and they pay nothing on the millions or billions they make above $118,500.
I'm upset today about paying my taxes, but not for their reasons.

If you trade your time and skills for a paycheck or wages then you are not required to pay income tax in the USA and there is no law that says you must; but if you do decide to file you had better make damn sure you got your numbers correct.
