Tyler Durden's picture

Isolated Russia continues to see its currency dramatically outperform the US Dollar. Breaking below 50 today, this is the strongest the Ruble has been since Nov 2014... The Ruble is now up almost 22% against the US Dollar year-to-date.

Russia retires $100 Billion in USD debt, and exchanges rubles for dollars at 80 to 1 or better in December, earning tens of billions on Forex profits.

Meanwhile the Ukies have the worst performing currency in the world.  On the good news front, most of the Oligarchs lost money, and a few are bankrupt.  On the bad news front for Ukies, their whores on a PPP basis are the cheapest in Europe, if you don't mind AIDS.

but their power is waning, and the balance of power is rapidly changing in this world.

Boys, find yourself a nice Russian gal, get a red passport, buy a sheep farm, learn Russian, read Tolstoy, relax, eat, drink, screw and be merry.

Also, expats can own firearms and carry concealed weapons.

And you can call a faggot a faggot and pay a flat 10% tax.

Hell, they even acknowledge Radical Islamic Terror and the Arab SWFs are still buying rubles!,

I think it is more like American propaganda. I have met some elderly Russian ladies here and they have aged very well.

But you're right. That would never happen to the American girls. They must be the skinniest in the world. Like that doll Hillary or Janet.

You know, corporate media made great play of the ruble collapse, even though many other currencies were also falling. Like when do you get a news story on Ukraine's currency? But the ruble story was everywhere, to make Obama look like a foreign policy genius. Obama was single handedly destroying Russia's currency.

Russia has hundreds of billions of reserves. 400 billion plus or minus. Russia earns hard foreign currency every hour of the day. Russia has large and growing gold stocks. Russia has no budget deficit. When the oil price fell and ruble fell, the Russian Government did what no Washington DC governmetn would ever do, they rapidly cut government spending across the board by 10% to keep their budget in surplus! 10%, government workers were let go, projects cancelled, even military spending was pared back, with fewer new 5th generation fighters being contracted for. Every agency in Russian government was cut. Can you imagine THAT! Cutting government spending in order to maintain fiscal solvency? Yes, Russia is capitalist. Not the Soviet USA, money printing and pork barrel spending, and social welfare for all!

American's refuse to accept any cut to government spending and hand outs. Putin just said, "Money is tight right now, every body takes a cut!"

That is why even foreign people can respect Putin. He does what needs to be done.

Note that even Newsweek had this to say :

" Not only is Putin still standing, but the Russian economy, against most expectations, is recovering. Its stock market is one of the best performing globally this year; the ruble, after losing nearly half its value against the dollar over the course of a year, is rebounding; interest rates have come down from their post-sanctions peak; the government is taking in more revenue than its own forecast expected; and foreign exchange reserves have risen nearly $10 billion from their post-crisis low."

All in, over the last 3 quarters alone, Russia has managed to repay and roll over USD156.23 billion worth of external debt, with net repayment estimated at around USD96.5 billion.

Painful in the short run, this is not exactly weakening Russian economy in terms of forward debt/GDP and other debt-linked ratios.

There will be costs..... actually there won't be , these people are fast learners. Long term all the costs will be the US. Look, if you trust someone with normal global transactions, and then one day that person (idiot) goes and pulls the rug and stands there laughing at your impending doom, then you're never going to trust that person (idiot) again are you. Everything you do will be to prevent that person (idiot) ever having any hold over you again. And to do the same back to them one day....
