Signs That 'The Elites' Are Feverishly Preparing For Something Big
Submitted by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,
What in the world are the elite up to? In recent days, we have learned that the New York Fed is moving a lot of operations to Chicago because of concerns about what a “natural disaster” could do, the federal government is buying 62 million rounds of ammunition commonly used in AR-15 semi-automatic rifles for “training” purposes, and NORAD is moving back into Cheyenne Mountain because it is “EMP-hardened”. In addition, government authorities have scheduled a whole host of unusual “training exercises” all over the nation. So are the elite doing all of this in order to prepare for something really BIG, or should we just chalk up all of this strange activity to rampant government paranoia?
First, let’s talk about what the New York Fed has been doing. What kind of natural disaster would be bad enough to completely shut down the operations of the New York Federal Reserve Bank? It would have to be something very unusual, and apparently the New York Fed is very concerned that such an event could happen. According to Reuters, the New York Fed has been transferring personnel to Chicago and building up its satellite office there just in case a “natural disaster” makes it impossible for normal operations to continue in New York…
The New York branch of the U.S. Federal Reserve, wary that a natural disaster or other eventuality could shut down its market operations as it approaches an interest rate hike, has added staff and bulked up its satellite office in Chicago.
Some market technicians have transferred from New York and others were hired at the office housed in the Chicago Fed, according to several people familiar with the build-out that began about two years ago, after Hurricane Sandy struck Manhattan.
Officials believe the Chicago staffers can now handle all of the market operations that are done daily out of the New York Fed, which is the U.S. central bank’s main conduit to Wall Street.
This seems very odd.
In all of U.S. history, there has never been a natural disaster in New York City that would have been bad enough to totally shut down the operations of the New York Fed for an extended period of time.
So why are they so concerned?
Well, I can think of one event that could cause such a disruption…
An east coast tsunami.
This is something that I wrote about in this article. But other than that, it is hard to imagine a natural disaster which could shut down the New York Fed for an extended period of time.
Another very odd thing that we learned about this week is an absolutely massive purchase by the government of ammunition that is commonly used in AR-15 semi-automatic rifles. The following comes from an article by Paul Joseph Watson…
The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase over 62 million rounds of ammo typically used in AR-15 semi-automatic rifles, just weeks after the ATF was forced to back down on a ban on M855 bullets.
A posting on FedBizOpps.gov this week reveals that the DHS is looking to contract with a company to provide 12.6 million rounds of .223 Remington ammunition per year for a period of five years – totaling 62.5 million bullets.
The solicitation explains that the purchase is intended, “to achieve price savings over the current .223 Rem duty ammunition.” The bullets will be used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents nationwide for “training” purposes.
Why in the world would U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents nationwide need such a massive amount of ammunition for “training” purposes?
That seems very odd.
Something else that seems very strange is the fact that NORAD is moving back into Cheyenne mountain after all these years…
It shut down nearly ten years ago as the threat from Russia seemed to subside, but this week the Pentagon announced that Cheyenne Mountain will once again be home to the most advanced tracking and communications equipment in the United States military.
The shift to the Cheyenne Mountain base in Colorado is designed to safeguard the command’s sensitive sensors and servers from a potential electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack, military officers said.
The Pentagon last week announced a $700 million contract with Raytheon Corporation to oversee the work for North American Aerospace Command (NORAD) and US Northern Command.
Admiral William Gortney, head of NORAD and Northern Command, said that ‘because of the very nature of the way that Cheyenne Mountain’s built, it’s EMP-hardened.’
So the U.S. military is concerned about an EMP attack all of a sudden?
Have they been reading The Economic Collapse Blog?
Spending 700 million dollars to move back inside a mountain just because it is “EMP-hardened” is a pretty big deal.
Do they know something that we don’t?
On top of everything else, we have been seeing lots of strange “training exercises” being scheduled all over the nation recently.
For example, the following is from a news story about one being held in Iowa…
This week you may notice extra emergency vehicles and public safety officers running around in tactical gear, Hazmat suits, and bomb suits. It’s a part of a statewide drill Des Moines is hosting Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare emergency personnel for dealing with weapons of mass destruction.
Brian O’Keefe with the Des Moines Fire Department said emergency officials in Iowa need to be prepared for anything.
“You know we’re number one seed producer with corn and soy, chicken embryo development, middle of the country heartland. So I’m sure all states access it. But we’re a target like any other large community,” said O’Keefe.
And here is an excerpt form a news story about an exercise known as “Northern Exposure” that is being held in Michigan…
The National Guard event is called Northern Exposure, which is taking place across Michigan during the month of June, he said. According to the Michigan National Guard website, Northern Exposure is “a major exercise in Michigan where the military provides defense support to civilian authorities.”
In addition, the U.S. military will be conducting some “unusual” training activity out in Arizona and California…
If you see some unusual helicopters overhead in the next couple of days, there’s nothing to worry about.
The I Marine Expeditionary Force G-7 will be conducting a Realistic Military Training this week, using the Prescott Municipal Airfield as a helicopter refueling point in order to facilitate a Long Range Raid at Camp Navajo, Arizona.
This Certification Exercise (CERTEX) is directed to be conducted from April 8-21, 2015 at various training locations throughout California and Arizona. The training at Prescott will take place on April 15, 16.
All of this is in addition to the exercise that people have really been buzzing about. It is called “Jade Helm”, and in this particular “unconventional warfare exercise”, the states of Texas and Utah will be designated as “hostile territory”…
“Jade Helm is a challenging eight-week joint military and Interagency (IA) Unconventional Warfare (UW) exercise conducted throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado,” according to an unclassified military document announcing the training drill, which runs from July 15 through September 15.
Multiple branches of the US military, including Green Berets, Navy Seals, and the 82nd Airborne Division, will participate in the 8-week long exercise, which may result in “increased aircraft in the area at night.”
Troops will be tasked with honing advanced skills in “large areas of undeveloped land with low population densities,” and will work alongside “civilians to gain their trust and an understanding of the issues.”
The exercise, in which some participants will be “wearing civilian clothes and driving civilian vehicles,” lists Texas and Utah as “hostile” territory.
Should we be alarmed by these exercises?
Some people sure think so.
Another thing that has people scratching their heads are the weird closures of Wal-Mart stores all over the nation for supposed “plumbing problems”…
Not just one, but five Walmart stores across the U.S. are closing their doors due to plumbing problems that, in some cases, will take four to six months to repair.
Those closing include locations in Livingston and Midland, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and near Los Angeles.
For the Brandon Walmart, I talked to Hillsborough County and Walmart to get answers about why these plumbing repairs will take so long and whether the issues are connected, but local customers are already skeptical.
“Why is it just plumbing problems? It’s gonna take them six months to fix up the store?” asked customer John Mambrl.
Yes, is it really going to take them six months to fix the toilets?
Either someone at Wal-Mart is extremely incompetent, or there is something fishy going on here.
In the end, perhaps there is nothing to any of this.
Perhaps all of these examples are just unrelated coincidences.
But then again, perhaps not.

I always have fun honing my debating skills with you as well.
I'm no religious nut - go to church most sundays, because I've been an usher at 12 noon mass for 25 years and my kids have gone to the church parochial school for 25 years -when my daughter graduates next year, I'm done - tired of the catholic church and most other 'Christian" churches -but when I see and fear and see catastrophe coming (and I do) and I see the obvious evil Luciferians running the show -I tend to get more religious and hope God and the forces of good are out there. Seems to me that God does not take an active role here on earth -at least not for the past couple thousand years or so -but Lucifer reigns and has established his Kingdom here on earth -it's obvious -from satan worshipping Columbian drug dealers, to the pedophile pervert Luciferian elites -I beleive there is much truth to the conspiracies that the ruling elites are Luciferians - and that they obtain their worldly power from him. Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world" -ain't that the truth. It's obvious that for the most part, satan and the Luciferians have established their worldly rule here.
I've given up on justice and righteoussness for this country and this planet. I do what I can to live right, but most of humanity are corrupted, ignorant sheeple who while professing to be Christians, totally ignore the teachings of Christ -the Golden Rule and the Sermon on the Mount and his commandment that "You shall know the Truth-and the Truth shall set you free." -So they are not free-they are slaves due to their ignorance-and as a consequence-Satan rules here on earth. You can smell the stench of evil in the air -I fear bad things, and bad times are coming soon.
Imagine how you would have felt at the commencement of World Wat I or II. We cannot grasp history, we cannot place ourselves in the shoes of our ancestors. Nothing is new my friend, people have been bleating about end times from before christ for christs sake. We are for some bizarre and deeply mysterious reason, obsessed with destruction. Look at Seek_Truth. I have zero doubt he/she is a good person with a heart ifirmly n the right place but I also suspect has some very deep problems grasping or coping with reality. Anyone who covets the destruction of the entire planet is not well, this is not something that is a laughing matter because it afflicts a huge number of human beings and is terribly sad.
We're already in bad times, worse by the day.
First Am. backed up by 2nd.
Serious Bible question...what about all the gospels that did not make the cut (way back when all Christians were under Rome and I think the Council of Nicea circa 400 AD is the time and event I'm thinking of)?
If all were divinely inspired then the real inspiration was in the Council members who decided which Gospels would be part of the New Testamant and which would be forgotten. But for them we could have Matthew, Mark, Luke and Samuel...everything John had to say would have been lost in time.

Most self-proclaimed (and maybe even truly practicing) Christians are not fully aware that what passed as 'Christianity for about a >1,000 years (Council of Nicaea in 325 AD onwards), is actually a ROMAN product.
By that I mean that the result was very much aligned with Roman organizational structures (the Church hierarchy mirrored that of the Roman military), which worked great for Constantine and his successors: only 1 head honcho (the Pope) to deal with. That's even better than the false Dem/GOP dichotomy!
Also extremely noteworthy, is that in the final version, Christianity was "useful" to TPTB, insofar this "Religion for serfs and slaves" resonated with established beliefs in the Mediterranean cultures (god-woman sex leading to demigod offspring, demigod heroism and self-sacrifice, death and rebirth), but it also taught them to be docile and accepting of whatever circumstances (fate, God, sin, lords, masters, rulers...) dealt out. E.g. Blessed are the Poor, the Meek; Turn the other cheek, Don't seek justice & retribution, but Forgive & Forget; Never mind secular wealth, you'll be rewarded in the afterlife; and so on. How convenient... for the Rulers.
Note that, in contrast to the Judaic faith (that allegedly brought people OUT of bondage and slavery) and sought to make them unified and strong, Christianity sought to turn them into Sheep. No wonder that TPTB eventually glommed on to this and 'converted'. They acted all pious in public, but led a different life in private (just like Saudi royals these days).
In closing... no matter what you 'believe' personally (because of early childhood indoctrination), if you have any intellectual honesty, you HAVE to admit that whatever is written in most ancient writings (OT, NT, etc) does NOT meet modern requirements for "vetting", forensics or judicial cross-examination. It just does NOT.
But, after almost 2000 years of programming and breeding, I believe that a large part of the Western population is "bred" to "believe" at some deep, primal level. Let us not be so arrogant to pretend that although domesticated animals are 'bred' for desired traits, that humans have not been likewise 'bred' by the secular and clerical elite working in tandem. I refuse to be that willfully-stupid, or pathologically naive. I refuse to, because like George Carlin, I have this thing called "Thinking".
Its a rare instance to meet a Christian who has read the Nag Hamadi. Then again, they might not like what they find.
In my AO, the Baptists (solid 80% majority) are so warped that I no longer consider them Christian. They more closely resemble the Taliban than anything Jesus talked about. Intolerant, superstitious, and supremely ignorant of science, politics, and geography.
If the fedgov goes away, I expect them to start burning the heretics (ie people who drink alcohol, Catholics, gays, and any other denomination).
I won't live in a theocracy and will join the Catholics to fight them. They don't believe in anything resembling the founding ideals of America or of their so-called Messiah.
Talk about a warped and dangerous bunch.
I refuse. I will resist.
"In my AO, the Baptists (solid 80% majority) are so warped that I no longer consider them Christian. They more closely resemble the Taliban than anything Jesus talked about."
Christianity and Islam are the same fucking religion! Allah is the same fucking god as Yahweh is the same fucking god as the father of Jesus - the only difference is syntax.
@Asteroid
You are a nihilist, an idealist a cynic and a hypocrite. God blessed His creation and commanded it to be fruitful and multiply, you would curse it and condemn it to suffering. The curse of God is ultimately redemptive of creation. Jesus is real, He has appeared in space/time, has born the curse in behalf of His body, will reappear at the end of the age to usher in His Kingdom and judge the living and the dead. We await eternal life , you offer curse/ death without redemption. You speak quite ignorantly about Christianity. I quote you in full from your subsequent post in response to the question "Where does your ZH handle fit in with this line of thought?".
"It's called cynicism. Ideally I would like a fertility virus to emerge that will simply prevent a large number of people from breeding until the population is reduced sufficiently to eradicate poverty, crime, environmental destruction, cruelty to animals, congestion, pollution etc etc. No one need suffer, some people just can't have children. "
Do you realise that Jesus is also the son of Allah, since the Muslims believe in the same god as the Jews?
The Abrahamic religions are based on discrimination, from "the chosen people" all the way to your narrowminded bullshit.
Pretty sure Jesus didn't call on His followers to attack & plunder (thats better known as violence & theft in the west) trade caravans or invade others lands in order to subjugate the people therein to His will.
The truth is, the tribes in Saudi Arabia worshipped trees & rocks at the time of Muhammad introducing the "peaceful religion of Islam" and Abraham had exactly zero to do with building the Kabba which housed multiple idols representing these tree & rock dieties.
It matters not where he (Mooohamid) got his ideas of population control & governance from, he perverted it to its very core as only a mere man can do to amass power & wealth to himself.
Distinctly very un-Christian like ;-)
It is difficult to discern if you are truly atheist or just struggling with your own belief system.
I have found those struggling, often hide behind the atheistic viewpoint and use belittling tactics to feel superior. It is understandable, yet to me, it is so clearly a defense mechanism, a cry for help, if I may.
There is a fear of being thought weak or sappy or stupid.
I copied the following to my notes ,over a year ago. I don't remember where i found it. My thanks to the author, however you are.
"Prayer is a type of thought. It’s a lot like meditation — a type of very concentrated mental focus with passionate emotion directed towards a concept or situation, or the lack thereof. But there’s a special X-factor ingredient that makes “prayer” different than meditation or other types of thought. That X-factor is humility. This is the most seemingly contradictory aspect of prayer and what many people dislike about the feeling of praying. “Getting down on your knees” is not about lowering your power or being a weakling, it’s about showing respect for the size and grandeur of what we call existence — it’s about being humble in the presence of the vastness of life, space, and sensation, and acknowledging our extremely limited understanding of what it all really means.
Being humble is very hard for many people because it makes them feel unimportant and helpless. To embrace our own smallness is not to say we’re dumb or that we don’t matter, but to realize how amazing it is that we exist at all in the midst of so much more. To be fully alive, we must realize how much else there is besides ourselves. We must accept how much we don’t know — and how much we still have to learn — about ourselves and the whole world. Kneeling down and fully comprehending the incomprehensible is the physical act of displaying our respect for everything that isn’t “us.”
There was a good reason Jesus first got pissed off the most at the temple money changers.
1. Selling pure silver sheckels for corrupted inflated Roman coinage
2. Selling defective birds/animals as sacrifice to those that couldn't or wouldn't pay the premium.
God will be the biggest terrorist of all, how ironic. She is going to destroy the planet and all life on it. What a fucking asshole. Instead of destroying why doesn't the shit for brains make an appearance and rid the world of evil scum.
I'll tell you why . . . . . .Doesn't exist.
God isn't the one who has destroyed the earth- that was mankind.
"The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth." - Revelation 11:18
And when this earth is destroyed, a perfect new earth will be created, where the righteous will dwell:
"Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." - Revelation 21:1-5
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells." - 2 Peter 3:11-13
You two are never going to agree on this.
Perhaps, Vaquero.
But I will try. It is the core of being a Christian:
"For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me" - 1 Corinthians 9:16.17
"But if I say, "I will not remember Him Or speak anymore in His name," Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; And I am weary of holding it in, And I cannot endure it." - Jeremiah 20:9
"for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard." - Acts 4:20
Yes, so long as you understand that he should have a choice as to whether or not to believe or not, fine. I've been in big political battles where laws that had religious implications were the issue. I would like to think that I behaved honorably, but some may disagree. I have seen people on all sides lie to support their cause. I watched a respected pastor tell bald faced lies. None of that was good. But, I also watched one man who started a big political flap because of his beliefs stand up and say, "I didn't know that it was going to cause so many problems, I'm withdrawing this." Dub Williams was his name. I think his intentions were honorable from beginning to end, but they didn't have the results that he expected. What he was pushing was similar to what the pastor who lied was pushing.
I typically stay away from these kinds of things, because I've been through it over and over, so this is going to be a rare glimpse into my religious views: I don't care if god exists. God could have sent down a savior to set us straight. He didn't. He could be sitting back saying "Wow! Did they screw that up." What does that say about him? It could say that he wants us to make our own choices. It could say he doesn't care. It could say that he is imperfect. It could say a lot of things.
But in the end, if you were not persecuted for believing what you believed, and you had free will, a lot of the bullshit would go away without the government involved in every aspect of our lives.
+1 (slow clap)
I think they know this.
Actually I really enjoy theists and atheists flinging poo at one another. Especially if they both are very intelligent and educated. They can really rattle ones world. I had one hard core atheist work associate slam the hell out of me for being a Christian and, damn that man kept me on my toes. Really caused me to reexamine my faith and I found areas where I was really taking a snooze in a mental Laziboy. When we parted company, I shook his hand in gratitude.
Miffed
Yes, Miffed.
If all beleved, perhaps we would become slothful in our diligence in testing, pondering and researching the reasons for our faith.
Of course, we know that not all will believe- in fact, a majority won't:
""Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." - Matthew 7:13,14
How did what jesus say on date xx/xx/xxxx get into the bible "verbatim" when the bible was only begun to be written, at the very earliest, 70 years after his death. Where were his words recorded in the interim between being uttered and being written down. Once written down how can anyone be certain that they were scribed faithfully and if they were scribed faithfully initially (somehow) that it hasn't been changed successive times since.
This is the theists biggest problem. Sure you can have a personal belief of magical deities in higher dimensions but the minute you tie your wagon to these books, you are screwed.
They are books. They may have even been put here by the devil to screw us up and make us fight. How can you be certain this is not the case.
Verbal repetition, as well as written repetition, was practiced among the believers all the way back to (at least) Moses. So that has a long tradition- Moses, for instance wrote the Pentateuch based on events in his life, as well as verbal traditions from generations before him. In the same way, the Gospels, as well as the rest of the New Testament, were written before the close of the first century by those who either knew Christ personally, had encountered him, or were under the direction of those who were His disciples. As for how we know that the Bible has been copied accurately and faithfully:
“As with all the previously published New Testament papyri (127 of them, published in the last 116 years), not a single new reading has commended itself as authentic. Instead, the papyri function to confirm what New Testament scholars have already thought was the original wording or, in some cases, to confirm an alternate reading—but one that is already found in the manuscripts” - http://www.dts.edu/read/wallace-new-testament-manscript-first-century/
To date, over one hundred and twenty such New Testament papyri are known. In general, they are considered the earliest witnesses to the original text of the New Testament.” - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_New_Testament_papyri
And all are in agreement with one another. The standard practice is to ensure that modern translations adhere to these earliest copies of the papyri. We therefore know that they are faithful replications of what occurred in the first century.

So there is no "problem" here at all. For theists, anyway.
OK. Mathew claimed Jesus would return in his lifetime.
16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Why did this not come to pass? This surely must shake the very foundations of your belief.
There doesn't seem to be any metaphor in the above prophecy. Either the prophecy is false or there are some people alive today who are a couple of thousand years old.
Once again, your non-belief has you blinded to the meaning of this scripture.
Did Jesus enter His kingdom when He was crucified? Yes, and all who saw and heard of it, and put faith in Him, became subjects of that kingdom.
Here is the actual Greek that the passage is translated from:
http://biblehub.com/interlinear/matthew/16-28.htm
Here is how Young's Literal Translation (considered the best, most literal translation of the New Testament in English)renders it:
"Verily I say to you, there are certain of those standing here who shall not taste of death till they may see the Son of Man coming in his reign."
Again, did those who saw Christ crucified and resurrected see Him come into His reign?
Yes. It came to pass. By His sacrifice He instituted the New Covenant- by which all put faith in Him would be saved, be sons of God, and be subjects of His kingdom.
Ah, ok, so Matthew wasn't saying Jesus would return following his ascent to heaven, he was stating that Jesus would return after being layed in the tomb following crucifixion. Bit of a stretch if you ask me. It's all too open to interpretation.
Ever wondered why the creator of the universe had himself killed by torture? You'd reckon he would have selected a somewhat less brutal and heinous means of making a point.
Wow, you still don't get it. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.
First of all- It was Jesus, not Matthew who spoke those words.
Second- Christ ushered in His kingdom by the New Covenant- that required Him (a perfect man who retained perfection to the end) to be sacrificed to atone for what Adam (a perfect man who threw perfection away) did. By doing so, He ushered in His kingdom and fulfilled His words in Matthew 16:28.
I never wondered about why Jesus did so once I learned that He had fulfilled prophecies written about Him hundreds of years before He walked this Earth. For example this one (written almost 600 years before) in Isaiah chapter 53:
1Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8By oppressiona and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.b
9He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makesc his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11After he has suffered,
he will see the light of lifed and be satisfiede ;
by his knowledgef my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,g
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,h
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
He did more than "make a point", it was necessary for His blood to be shed to redeem mankind, as I stated above. "He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he." - Deuteronomy 32:4
Can god control free will in people?
Why didn't god reveal himself simultaneously to all races throughout all countries?
Why did the bible need to be written by people, why didn't god materialise complete versions of the bible across the earth in all languages?
Why does god allow suffering of innocents, particularly children and especially at the hands of priests and nuns? Why doesn't god simply render the priest impotent and save the anguish of the suffering child?
I have serious doubts about the intelligence and perfect-ness of our great invisible grey beared skyman. To be completely honest if he exists I think he's a bit of a dill.
I could come up with a better system on a bad day.
You bible thumpers are going to be really pissed when this all ends up being about aliens...
Not aliens....interdimensional.
Which is why you won't find mirrors in Kim Kardashian's house.
Great post BOTA +1. IMNSHO, the only way this makes sense (relative to both your comments and certain aspects of quantum mechanics) is if this is a simulation. Heavy or frequent intervention would probably render the simulation meaningless, unless there is some mechanistic goal (like farming AI's [us]).
{EDIT} FYI, as far as this one can determine, free will is a really big deal.
Free will is the lynchpin to all of your questions. Free will is the rock that He created that is too large to lift, because He says it is, and His word is law. Sure, He could do a great many things, but that would take away our free will. For free will to exist, the Creator has to allow us to to terrible things. There is no positive without negative.
It can't be easy to watch your creations fuck up so badly. To me, THAT is the hidden greatest sacrifice.
Free will is a bitch, but you don't just want a bunch of automatic slaves, there's no real love there. Tough spot to be in for a lonely consciousness.
What would you do in the same situation?
I know I wouldn't be able to make the sacrifice. I don't have the patience.
My opinions:
"Can god control free will in people?" Could, but won't.
"Why didn't god reveal himself simultaneously to all races throughout all countries?" He did, in different ways, not exactly simultaneous, but close. And he continues to. You just have to look.
"Why did the bible need to be written by people, [It didn't/doesn't.] why didn't god materialise complete versions of the bible across the earth in all languages?" In a way, He did. Cultural differences and all.
My people didn't write down their 'scripture', but it still survived. It doesn't have to be a book, and the Bible isn't the only book with the message. And even it has been 'adjusted' by people in power. It's the main ideas that are important. They get you to think (if you choose to), and through that, the truth can be found, even if the words are not always as they should be.
The message really is very universal, obvious, and logical at its core. Modern man just has blinders on.
A better title would be: "Dealing with the necesarry conundrum of free will and all the shit it starts." by The Creator
"He did, in different ways, not exactly simultaneous, but close."
Mate, making a rainbow in the sky isn't really what I had in mind.
Not the biggest problem. Verbal history was kept by many groups. And there is also the tradition of proverbs/parables, aka teaching stories.
Lack of internal consistency.
The book says God is loving, but actions say God is mean. Not talking about just the Old Testament stuff.
A supreme being creates us as self aware animals. Okay, so maybe dealing with animal needs and urges, suffering and mortality, is some kind of test or trial to strenghten an eternal soul.
But while you are here if you are indoctrinated as a child in the wrong flavor of religion, or have none at all, or if you choose wisely but are too imperfect in your practice/belief - BOOM - eternal damnation.
Oh, and by the way, says straight up that man can not understand the mind of God. Pretty certain our minds aren't really capable of comprehending eternity either.
Makes Hunger Games seem sweet in comparison.
At least with reincarnation/karma you get a do over.
"How did what jesus say on date xx/xx/xxxx..."
We should not redirect the Topic of this article into a religious debate, but I do think that the following needs to be flagged:
It should trouble all ZH readers (even the Christian 'believers'), that we demand way more proof and rigor in the political and economic statements we make, than in the worldview/religious statements people proclaim.
IOW, the bar is extremely low for Religion (ALL 3 Abrahamic religions), but quite high for all things Economic and Financial. Interesting. 'Fascinating', as Spock used to say.
-
Do you not find it deeply disturbing that there are vast numbers of the population who want revelations to pass, for the destruction of the planet, for fire and brimstone? Does this not actually border on full blown insanity.
If it is predestined in the bible then the more evil the world gets the better because it's moving things in the right direction of the predictions. Ironically if the human race banded together and made an effort to rid the world of evil and make life better then the predictions in the bible wouldn't come true and then obviously the bible would be proved incorrect.
What a major cock up ass backwards world we live in.
Where does your ZH handle fit in with this line of thought?
It's called cynicism. Ideally I would like a fertility virus to emerge that will simply prevent a large number of people from breeding until the population is reduced sufficiently to eradicate poverty, crime, environmental destruction, cruelty to animals, congestion, pollution etc etc. No one need suffer, some people just can't have children.
Lol, "cynic"- yeah that's rich!
So, "cynic" you are actually so gullible to believe that if only that occurred it would usher in an era of no "poverty, crime, environmental destruction, cruelty to animals, congestion, pollution etc etc.????"
LOL! That has to be the king of non-sequitors!
Tell me- when and where has this ever occured in human history?
That is precisely why GOD is needed- to make such things happen- as mankind has shown it will never happen on their watch.
There are precious few examples of anything near that state ever occuring, and when they did, it was only for a brief time, under a benevolent King. Then, when that King died- it was all over!
That is why we need God's kingdom- it will never end!
PS- Not to mention that this "virus" you are hoping for- how does it only eradicate the warmongers and predator class? And that is what you base your hope on? ROFL.
I hate to rain on your parade buddy but life sure isn't peaches and roses with 2000 years of christianity either. Based on your observations Christianity has failed. Well, that was unexpected.
You are chasing rainbows my friend. You want perfection. Maybe your mind is incompatible with life in this universe. Maybe perfection doesn't exist in this universe or any of possible trillions of parallel universes. You have extreme views, not extreme bad, just extreme impossible.
What a world we live in, indeed! All as foretold. And what is foretold is exactly why God has allowed things to get where they are-His patience in allowing humankind that they can’t possibly direct their step.
“But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.” – 1 Samuel 8:6-9
Humankind rejected God as king- and the results are everywhere. He allowed this to occur so that humans could clearly see that they do not know how to benefit themselves. Thousands of years of human governments have all been shown to be a failure. In this way, once he makes all things new, no one can ever say that humans didn’t have enough time to try to create a peaceful world without His involvement, as Satan said they would long ago.
No- Satan has been proved wrong, along with all who follow him in the pursuit of selfishness.
And God has been proved right, along with all who follow him in the pursuit of selflessness.
I look forward to the day that all that which is rotten, polluted, imperfect- is destroyed, in order to usher in a restoration of perfect everlasting life, with no pain, no sorrow- to be taught by Him, the master of things, the creator of all things.
“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." – 1 Corinthians 2:9
All the dick head has to do is show himself, it's not hard.
"I look forward to the day that all that which is rotten, polluted, imperfect- is destroyed, in order to usher in a restoration of perfect everlasting life, with no pain, no sorrow- to be taught by Him, the master of things, the creator of all things."
And you know what Seek_Truth. What an absolute bitch if you are wrong and all the primitive thinkers clutching at apparitions and with an obsession with scriptures written by uneducated fools we set ourselves on a 'SELF FULFILLING PROPHECY' of destruction. What a bitch.
Maybe the universe is trying to select space faring species who can move from the planet of origin into the depths of the universe. Maybe a fundamnetal requirement of these species is the abandonment of religion and ancient forms of thinking while being independently able to foster compassion and learning and equal rights for all living things. We may be just a failed species as we seem to covet the rambling thoughts of ancient arabs and jews.
"I look forward to the day that all that which is rotten, polluted, imperfect- is destroyed"
Who doesn't, you think you are alone in this hope, this want, this aching desire? This will be achieved through centuries more torment and effort and failure and hard work. Wnating to destroy everything in order to make it all better is pretty infantile.
You place your bet, I'll place mine.
Just remember, if you die without putting faith in Jesus Christ, you'll be "all dressed up with no place to go", so to speak.
If I front up at the pearly gates on death I'd be inclined to spit in the old codgers face and say hey cunt, get your fat fucking arse down there and stop the fucking suffering you asshole. But this is stupid, there are no pearly gates, jesus was a myth, just watch : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gELzYupzXs
When you die you will simply cease to exist. EVERY time you go to sleep at night and have a dreamless sleep you are experiencing death and it is nothing to be frightened of. You'll be OK. The peace you need, the peace we all need will be granted, but there is no reason to think you need to be conscious to receive it.
LOL internet tough guy. Kind of hard to spit anywhere meaningful when you're on your knees:
"at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." - Philippians 2:10-11
Personally I think people (usually atheists) who are willing to change their beliefs based on new information are far most interesting to converse with than people who excel at quoting scripture. I think organized religions have a few merits, but the historical death toll speaks for itself. FYI, I'm not an atheist; I just play one on TV.
Wasn't Hitler athiest. tens of millions died.
Stalin athiest: hundrends? of million dead.
Men will murder despite religion. It's not the cause it's the excuse given.
You make a commendable slave Seek_Truth.
The truth is that we are all slaves. Some recognize that, some don't.
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." -Matthew 6:24
Some serve God, some serve "god".
The most popular "god" in this world is money, mammon.
Then there's folks like you, BOTA, that worship the benevolent virus:

Hey BOTA, put the science fiction books down, hypocrite. Your benevolent virus god doesn't exist.
On the other hand:
The 66 books of the Bible were written:
On three continents.
In three languages.
By about 40 different people (kings, shepherds, prophets, an army general, fishermen, priests, physician, etc).
Over a period of about 1,500 years.
On the most controversial subjects.
By people who, in most cases, had never met.
By authors whose education and background varied greatly.
Yet it tells a completely cohesive story, all based on the same theme, of mankind’s fall, and the Love God showed by sending His son as a sacrifice to buy the souls of all men wishing to be redeemed.
And what is required to be redeemed?
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Only a book breathed by God could meet the above criteria, and there is no other book like it.
It is The Word Of God.
Amen, Amen, and Amen Seek. You have found truth. May his Word be a lamp unto our feet, and his return to be ruled with a rod of iron. No grey, no maybe's, just Truth. He is worthy to be praised.
"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all of one consciousness, experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death; life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."
Yes, I know that is a funny pop-culture reference; but what I am trying to convey here is that many people should spend more time thinking and meditating over the nature of consciousness and free will. No 'religion' has it 100% correct because they have all been tainted with humans that desire power (power being the core of all human 'evil', the antithesis of the message). But if you take enough information in (life experience, 'holy' texts, scientific knowledge, sociology, etc.) , and really, I mean REALLY think about it all the way down to the core; you can sift out the truth, or at least what we are capable of understanding of it. Spending more time in nature helps the process greatly. Spending time with truly open-minded people helps as well.
Thanks for the discussion, you and others here. It makes the work-night much more enjoyable and go by much faster. We can all learn from each other constantly.
Osda sunoi, wado.
"And you know what Seek_Truth. What an absolute bitch if you are wrong and all the primitive thinkers clutching at apparitions and with an obsession with scriptures written by uneducated fools we set ourselves on a 'SELF FULFILLING PROPHECY' of destruction. What a bitch."
You have it correct, sort of. Both of us are fools. I'm a fool for Christ, who's fool are you?
1Cor 15: 13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
The bible bashers are out in force today. You yanks are strange people.
You got it right again, I'm up voting you to even.
Heb 11: 13These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.
Sorry for the double.
Hebrews 11:13-16Verse Concepts
All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return

Yes and the only way it will pass is if we have global thermonuclear war. I have almost always found devout members of any faith to zealots who share two general belief systems I despise:
1. they actively try to convert others to their line of thinking often using coercive means including physical violence if necessary
2. poor analytical thinkers marked by limited desire to experience new things and read about different things, lack of ability to be reflective and for self-introspection including things they possibility did worng, and their mind-numbing inconsistencies in their attempts to in their logic to meld the increasing physical realities of our society with their static dogma

Wow, thanks for that bible quote its like I just took six hits of LSD for free!!
I love me some crazy bible shit once in a while!
"The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair"
LOL, I think I will try that one the next time a cop asks if I know why he pulled me over.
psst....it's called an eclipse, hell, even Columbus used it to scare the natives into believing he was a god.
just sayin'
Believe it or not most cops will turn tail and run away from it. It can be used to save you from a ticket. I know that from actual experience.
But you had best quote actual scripture as some cops go to church and are also believers. And if they sense that you are blowing smoke up their ass then they will write you the book.
The author should realize that if an EMP "attack" occurs it will be due to a coronal mass ejection (CME) from those nasty "sun people", the solar flares. Not content with flinging photons 24/7, they'll send a mass of charged particles to overwhelm our puny earthling magnetic field. And the miliary should be worried about this, we're overdue for another attack!
look at the feet...
i mean hooves.
bwh1214, there's a volcano on La Palma in the Canary Islands, Cumbra Vieja, that has a fault and is expected to send the western side of the island into the sea at its next eruption, which could come at any time and could generate a tsunami that would cross the Atlantic in around 8 hours and hit the East Coast with about a 75 foot wave, maybe higher. If the military isn't expecting a war they're not paying attention.
Fema-Marts 1 through 5.......
My thoughts exactly. These will probably be intake centers for the new camp, which will be nothing more than the parking lot with a huge tall chain link fence around it.
The whole thing is already set up to go way wrong. That's the plan. Definitely skewed to the ugly side. If the walmarts arc closed, that means no traffic on the roads, which is what they want. This will be the "fear the state" indoctrination moment, and it aint going to be pretty.
This is the sign, ignore it at great risk.
Months to fix a plumbing problem.? Did somebody flush all the TP in Walmart down the toilet?
They cant even make the effort to come up with a believable reason for closing.
Walmart?! Jade Helm Ops?! Well. does anybody remembers the last biggest-winter-storm-which-never-was?! I bet it was a climatology red flag meant to ground for a period of time all the aerial traffic for the purpose of moving massive military assets without accidental observation from the upside :)
the problem with having a large army and military industrial complex is you have to keep using it as it constitutes such a large part of the economy.... call it a stimulus package if you will....
Welcome to Jade Helm and all the liberty and freedom the U.S.A. was willing to fight and die for.
Because if by "training exercise," you mean a Fabian-esque psychological normalization process designed to acclimate the good people of USA to accept the militarization of police as an end-run around Posse Comitatus, then okay.
I'm sure it's simply coincidence that such "training exercises" are taking place simultaneously in most of the country this summer, right?
Presstitution at its finest right here.
the elites know, we are advancing into the "Age of the ROBOT" where most work now done by humans will be done by robots..the society where most humans have no purpose in work life is what is facing us.
the elites want to own the robots (production) but have no good plan for the unemployed..hand outs seems the best they can come up with. and endless debt to pay the welfare class distracted by sports and hollywood type products-virtual life will become life for many internet games and facebook.
service jobs like lawyers and judges and finance & insurance & entertainment & of course education may last longer some jobs in medicine and research..and robotics..jobs few will attain.
If we remove the stone age mind, we would see that unlike a buffett or munger (add elite name here soros?)
wealth no longer serves much purpose when robots produce all the goods we could ever use, the need to hoard and store for a rainy day can disappear based on the ablity to find the power to run the machines.
populations will collapse as those humans who find out they are obsolete will chose to not reproduce..what comes next? will be written by those who find purpose and a reason to live as humans in paradise of no needs or wants.
Funny how the last 150 years of industrialization have promised an end to mans needs and wants and while it has certainly accomplished some wonderful things the increased technology across the board in American society has only meant longer hours the last 30 years.
They have many plans for the billions of useless eaters. !. You will need to apply for a permit to have a child; to get a permit you will have to pass health and IQ tests, of which most will fail. 2. Forced abortions and sterilizatins. 3. Accidental death. 4. Elimination.
I'd offer that all the exercises are related. This looks like quite a dispersment of men/equipment starting now through September. The EMP thingy may be a ruse to cover for partial grid down scenarios which allow them to secure Nuclear power plants without arousing suspicion, which they better do if they anticipate an east coast tsunami.
Basically 3 events would cause that east coast tsunami, as I see it. 1). Polar shift/Nibiru 2) Meteor 3) Canary Island shelf collapse (either associated with volcanic eruption or some other event like earthquake.
Now, the canary island is off the table as anything other than a planned event since no one has been able to forecast a dormant volcano erupting or an earthquake. If the Canary shelf goes, it was done intentionally.
Pole Shift (and meteor showers are part of that scenario as well) has gotten a lot of tin foil press lately. Partially could explain Denver airport as new DC, Dispersion of troops and trading moved from coastal regions, Chemtrails (to keep the sunrise/sunset obscured to hide evidence of a brown dwarf sun, crop circles (warning signs), DUMB bases being built, along with a few other examples of what has been offered as proof.
Regardless of what it is, DC knows about it so if it is ANYTHING other than a clear natural event, they are involved. Question everything. Also note that a politician (french?) let the cat out of the bag last year when he referenced 500 days to climate change. What did he mean? That would land about mid September as well. Lots of shit lining something up for Sept. Shemitah, Martin Armstrong, this politician, these training drills, ect. If you hear of congress taking a 2 or 3 week break to visit their constituents it'll be time to hunker down, imo.
If you have to ask if you are an "Elite" and you do not have a set of keys to the Underground bunker, you are not in the club...
Don't worry though, their end will not be a place you'd want to find yourself in.
Indeed:
"Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” - Revelation 6:15-17
Pretty apt right there.
Don't forget the goat hair coloured sky and stars falling like prunes. Stars falling like prunes . . . . . HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . . . . . . Where exactly do they fall to, they are trillions of miles away.
You're been born in the wrong millenia Seek_Truth.
As the nuclear bombs explode I'd love to be standing by your side as the flesh is seared from our bones and the flesh of your children is seared from their bones and see how convincing your demeanor is. Sorry but I can't see you standing there with a half cocked vacant smile of a born again christian thinking "Thank you Lord, thank you for killing me in a such a horrid fashion, I really do love you".
You need help Seek and all people like you.
You are willfully ignorant- prophecy is most often spoken in metaphorical language.
And spare us your projection of what you think God is going to do and what He thinks- He has already told us in His book, the Bible.
OK, fine, metaphorical language. Where are the instructions in the bible on how to interpret the metaphors?
Why the fuck do we need metaphors if it is the word of god, are you literally insane. Is this whole world insane. I would suspect if there was a god then it would be able to communicate in categorical, unambiguous language.
You're nuts man, completely nuts.
You know why prophecy is spoken in metaphors?
Because it's bullshit.
Mathew predicted the end times and the return of Jesus before his life was finished. Read it. Read your bible. It didn't come true. The bible is bullshit. You are willfully ignorant. Why did Mathew get it wrong and the great Seek_Truth can get it right.
I'll tell you why. Because people with a penchant for belief in prophesy like Nostradamus, bibles, korans etc are simpletons, often uneducated, particluarly in science (especially science of the mind).
We had quite a good run, no bible nuts for several weeks but now there is a sniff of trouble the end time bandits are back at it. The end is coming, the end is coming. Fucking dickheads. The world is billions of years old and you dumb fucks think because our pathetic existence may well be on borrowed time you think the whole fucking universe has to end with it.
Oh jesus h fucking christ, look, I'm with you, time to get rid of humans and leave the world to do it's thing with the natural world free of us bacteria.
Hmm. Let's see- why can't you understand the metaphorical language of prophecy?
"Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God" - 2 Corinthians 4:4
Again, you don't understand propecy- you misunderstand Matthew's account of the Gospel. Matthew didn't get it wrong- nor does the Holy Spirit that allows those who have faith in Jesus Christ, and who pray for that Holy Spirit to dwell in them- to correctly interpret God's word. The Bible tells a consistent story- from mankind's creation and fall from grace, which led to sin and imperfection, to restoration and redemption from sin and imperfection.
The only way to interpret the Bible correctly is to interpret within the entire Biblical context- not just cherry picking based on preconceived notions. Add to that prayer, faith, Holy Spirit, and years of study- and all is revealed. I know, because I have done so, and know many others who have done so- all have the same interpretation- from God.
"Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God?" - Genesis 40:8
There are, and have been, thousands of deities worshipped by humans over millenia.
Is my different god not the right one because you don't believe in it?
That would make your god not the right one because I don't believe in it.
You claim the "one true god" simply because its the one that you believe in.
If you stopped believing in your god, would it cease to be the one true god?
If you say no, then you haven't stopped believing...
So go ahead and quote your scriptures to your hearts content, as the only one you have to influence is yourself.
And the humans who wrote those words you love to spout knew that.
The irony of your "objective" humanism and nihilism isn't lost on us in realville. It would be LOL hilarious if it weren't so sad.
Yes Mr "I believe in the great invisible grey bearded skyman".
Yes, exactly..... bullshit is spoken in metaphors, so you can interpret it anyway you want.....

As the nuclear bombs explode I'd love
Well, one way to interpret a nuclear explosion...
It's giant glowing gourds of ashes that ruin the land and make people sick in our prophecies, but I think that you know it all describes the same thing; the inevitability of human nature as it is now.
Doesn't matter how it happens; well enough to know that it is the logical conclusion of our currently chosen path of greed/power; be it 'stars', 'gourds of ashes', nukes, or resource depletion leading to starvation.
You have to look at 'Holy' books and prophecies like warnings; not the actual future, just a possible one.
It's not "You CAN'T do this!". It's more like "You can, but this is why you may not want to as it ends badly."
Bummer, but their loss. I fry up a mean plate of squirrel scrapple.
You sure need a shitload of squirrels to get the necessary internal ingredients for that particular dish.
it is super storm sandy, not hurricane. otherwise insurances would have been liable.
Mind blown.

Being mindful of the large number of "Unfortunate Boating Incidents" reported by many ZH Commentators over the past years, I'd have thought such a series would be highly popular, if only to gain useful tips on "how to do it right", and so avoid such "incidents" . . . ;->
Wouldn't be too hard to find the carpetbaggers. They will, without exception, be scramlbing to the airport general aviation tarmac to hop on their jets. Stop by and say hello :)

I'm not discounting the idea of the article (I do think another iteration of 2008 is going to happen within a decade.) But with due respect to Michael Snyder, he has been suggesting a serious 'moment' for several years.
Certainly, the powers that be are hardening so to speak, but I'm not convinced that what is cited in this article is particularly telling. At least, not anymore than the open face onslaught of a make believe reality that has become the new normal in the neo-West.
Maybe less than a decade. Things (political, financial and confrontational) have been picking up the pace of late. Then there's the upcoming US Presidential elections . . . .
That's true, and 2016 could well be some kind of economic event. Perhaps we find out that student loan debt became the new CDO- and deliquencies in servicing said debts throw some banks into a tough spot.
One could point to a seeming pattern in recent times that economic issues bubble up every other presidential election cycle (NB: I am not saying there is a casual relationship!) My concern is that if one exclusively listens to some of the more colorful predictions of Michael Snyder and Alex Jones, he would have sold all of his 401/IRA holdings, taken a massive tax hit, bought gold, and be net down. Indeed, had that person stayed in the market in 2009, his paper wealth is way up.
Moreover, for younger people reading this sort of stuff, it discourages them from doing anything productive and instead just go into a bunker mentality and waste away.
Definitely, one has to have a good sense of the seasons and show prudence, but increasingly I've found in my (relatively short) life that these sort of 'predictions' are to be found in all times and they are generally wrong.
Let's see........die instantly in a nuke attack or be buried alive with the likes of Obama, Hillary and 100,000lbs of rotting cavier.
I hope there's soap and water in the bunker or else Shrillary's unwashed coochie will make the putrefied caviar smell pleasant by comparison.
Are you sure it's got a vagina? I'm not so certain.
It's going to be the big o-ke-doke. Right now is the final looting stage, then when there is nothing left to loot, they will turn the lights out on liberty forever. Digital currency, real ID, speech codes, government determined lifepaths for all "citizens"...Pretty much every dystopian novel's ideas rolled out in hellish nightmare.
"The illusion of freedom [in America ] will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."

Yes indeed, Frank. The US consumer has been squeezed dry. China is about to tank. Remember, Barry said he was going to "fundamentally transform" America. Obamacare was always going to nationalize healthcare- bad news for patriots! He has recently, under the radar of course, released many Gitmo terrrst into the wild. To be replaced by red-list dissidents. All of their lies are falling apart. They must act now. The jig is up, boys. See you on the other side.
Water, dry, ...I expect if nothing else happens first, it will be the GREAT WEST COAST DROUGHT.
Either Nevada and Las Vegas are going dry first, and everyone south of Lighthouse.
or
California is going dry.
When there is no more clean water nothing else will matter.
As water levels continue to fall, and population grows in the West, that is a definite terminal condition.
First is either Greece or Vegas or Los Angeles, a trifecta.
Any of these could hit starting now and with 100% confidence in 3 years, if nothing else happens first.

You've given me hope, black calx! Thank you.
Wait, the Elites are the nail gun guys and the Nypho nazis right? in that case Im good
I guess I'm having trouble connecting the Walmart closings to the others. Is this where they are going to store all the munitions? Seems like in Walmart's case it's a pathetic cover for declining sales.
We do have lots of military exercises here unless this operation is different in scope. I've been tempted to mount anti aircraft guns on my roof from all the noisy black helicopters flying back and forth.

These "Superstores" are really just big warehouses, with very good bulk (palletised) unloading (or loading) facilities to boot.
It would take very little time to rearrange the interiors for other storage purposes; they have pretty good IT infrastructure (cabled and wireless networks, high-speed external communications), and other facilities (cold-room storage) that might be of real value to the Military should things become interesting.
I would not expect military "deliveries" to be recognisable as such - plenty of contract shippers who can be used for "not-so-obvious" shipment, and the loading bays can easily be placed off-limits using existing OH&S legislation - no need for anything even remotely draconian (so less risk of alarming the locals / overly sensitive).
They may choose to use their own software on the existing Walmart hardware or may even be able to use the existing stock-management suite with minimal modification. Refrigerated storage will be most convenient for temperature-sensitive items that may be very useful post-incident (e.g. blood products / vaccines / antisera).
Even the construction particularly lends itself to immunity from prying (i.e. aerial, maybe even space-based) eyes - sheet steel, with underlying thermal insulation, so heat signatures are diffused / diluted.
So, you don't necessarily need to be a member of the "Tin-Foil Hat" brigade to easily see the utility of such a move - covert bulk storage in full view of the local population!
My thoughts as well. A fully hardened parallel supply chain to be used for the upcoming shit show.......
Bingo....
Kudoes Parrotile, logical and thought out, and makes way to much sense.
Only thing I would add is many a Wally's is on 2 or 4 lane rural type highways, that experience lots and lots of semi-traffic every night of the week. Extra trucks stopping by a blacked out Wallys would not likely be noticed in between shift changes.
Thanks for the walk down logic lane if they will be used nefariously, I've always thought that since Clinton blessed China and Walmarts union. From 95% made in America, to less than 40% in less than 10 years. Sweet gift, see Sam's spawn's net worths.
Thanks again, I love a rational argument.
Or, they are just getting out of making a WARN announcement as they consolidate stores to increase employee count at the remaining open ones in lieu of upcoming "raises." Which won't end up meaning much, wait and see.
Of course my theory doesn't eliminate yours, nor vice-versa. Peace and luck to you and yours.
It may be relevant to note that every WalMart store has back-up generation capacity (there are no exceptions - every one of their thousands), with sufficient fuel (diesel) for an "adequate operating safety margin should utilities fail".
It would be hardly difficult to transport extra fuel in, maybe even park a tanker on site (it's not as if their parking facilities are minimal). As you note, highway access is always excellent (after all as a mass-retailer that would be expected), so another "obvious but very useful" feature of this type of establishment.
So: -
Massive storage capacity (air-conditioned, with refrigerated / freezer bulk store capacity)
Massive parking facility (some of which may be easily designated for heli use)
Pre-existing and good IT / Comms infrastructure (including internal wireless)
Back-up power capability (as you'd expect from a major Retailer)
Excellent loading / unloading capability (again, as you'd expect from mass retail),
and - excellent road access, all conditions.
Add in the office / personnel space that these entities have, and each WalMart could be viewed as "the" ideal, almost ready-to-use, Military storage facility.
Rest assured that all these factors will have been noted, and "contingency plans" must include all the above knowledge. As to whether the "closures" have sinister undertones, well, we'll have to wait and see.
Remember in CLOSE ENCONTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, the Govenment first lied to get eveyone out of the area; Then they shipped their tons of equipment and supplies in on SAFEWAY, COCA COLA, McDONALDS etc, semi trailer trucks to avoid suspicion...
And politicians as the clintons will torture w air traffic to get u to complain so they can run on that for payouts from those who want to or whatever w the airports.... Expand or exist .... Per the EPA who prefers war.
