A New Dark Age: When College Doesn't Pay
Submitted by Daniel Drew via Dark-Bid.com,
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich? One day, as ignorance becomes an ideal to strive for, that question might be replaced with, "If you're so dumb, why aren't you rich?"
The possibility that evolution might take a wrong turn and transform us into a society of imbeciles was dramatized in the movie Idiocracy. That process is beginning today as education is no longer rewarded. A look at the labor force participation rate for college graduates shows a steady decline since the data was first tracked.
Getting a college degree used to mean a ticket on the upward trajectory of this thing they once called a "career." Now, your college degree guarantees you a place behind the bar counter in the McJob recovery.

As more college graduates become unemployed, the more the federal government picks up the tab.
Idiocracy is upon us.

As long as there are problems there will be jobs. The job is to solve the problems. Every job that exists is somehow the solution to some problem.
One good reason this dude is going to college until 65. Yep then I'll go to work or not.
In a system that requires endless growth (otherwise it collapses) this was always going to be the outcome (when you live in a finite world).
A fucking 5 year old could be made to understand that.
We were doomed from day one. Live with it (well no - die actually - we are all going to die shortly)
I haven't read the resume of all 535 fucktards "running" things in DC (or the 9 supremes), but I bet a bunch of them are very highly "educated" with many of them sporting Ivy League degrees. These are a the same shitstain psycopaths that are forcing all this statist progressive bullshit down our throats. That tells me all I need to know about the "value" of a college education.
Haven't seen many carpenters, plumbers, or electricians enslaving several generations with debt and killing thousands with perpetual war. Fuck this, we are screwed.
What ever happened to that Joe the Plumber dude anyway? Dont know him from Adam, but he might have a bit more sense than any of the current crop of criminals in DC
Don't forget the tards who created the federal gov [your "holy constitution"] were BANKERS AND LAWYERS!
And freemasons, a group that definitely has the public interest first and foremost
The jobs given to most grads today are meaningless and won't even exist in 5-10 years.
The 1% make sure their college offspring get gubermint jobs because unlike the corporate sector you don't have to SOLVE problems, just showing up for WORK is all that is necessary... Take CONgress for example....
Relax!! The Secret-terry uv Edumacations has it under kontroll!

What does the picture of a Lamborghini have to do with this story?
Everybuddy hop on the jobs masheeen!
... Now where did I put down my electrolytes?
I didn't even want to go to college. I knew, even if no one else did, that a lack of book-learnin' was never my problem in life, and that a stack of college degrees six feet high could never conceivably help me in any way.
To be blunt it was all a kind of dodge, a way to "get over" temporarily while I waited to see how some other things panned out. I majored in History simply because I found it easy.
I have nothing against knowledge for its own sake. But, except for a certain narrow range of technical know-how (mostly involving computers) nobody cares how much you know about anything now.
As for teaching, in the public school system, I wouldn't soil my hands with it. Writing or investigative journalism I might consider, if my age and health still allow. Of course, as I said before, I am no typist. In college I had to write everything out by hand, then hire someone to type it.
I *was* hoping to retire on my PM holdings, which at one time might have impressed even some of you. Pretty much all gone with the wind now though. I wish I'd cashed it all out back when it was still worth something. But everybody told me "Hold!"
Are you the unfit mother?
We dehydrated some folx.
So tire of the word folks from Administration/Politicians like they give a frack about us.All them and kin/progeny baby.
Where is the civil servant in this day and age?
Never was!
