Yesterday Trannies loved higher oil prices, today they love lower oil prices...
Thanks to overnight hope, cash indices all opened gap up, Nasdaq spiked on Biotech deal then went nowhere, Dow/S&P dropped...
Most notable today was the break in Nasdaq vs Dow and S&P that started as the US equity opened...
Since Friday, Trannies are the big winners and Dow the relative loser...
Energy stocks now well into the red on the week as Financiala and Materials limp lower...
Just as an FYI - this whole ramp off the 100DMA was a big stop-run to last week's highs...
VIX continues its manic-depressive behavior...
Treasury yields rose from pre-open lows leaving 30Y up 6bps since Friday...
Rates started to move higher as the USD started to sell off...
Commodities were mixed with PMs up (gold above $1200) and crude and copper lower...
Copper continues its post-RRR-Cut slump...
As Crude dumped into settlement on Yemen headlines, bouncing off yesterday lows...

I agree. And I disagree with Rudolf E. Havenstein. in lumping all 4 together - as if they were all equal. To say that Paul Volker was responsible to the same degree as Yellen, Bernanke, and Greespan for the complete evisceration of the middle class and blatent capital destrution and dislocation is, in my view, entirely incorrect. Volker lost his job precisely because of his stewardship in correcting the monetary bat shit crazy malfeasance of Burns and Miller that occurred throughout the 70's.

Closing up my bill at an Irish pub this afternoon and the manager and I start chatting about currencies as they round up or round down on a bill so they don't "have to deal with" coins. He thought it would be a good idea to get rid of paper and coin currency.
I opined that then they'd have us where they wanted us, which led to informing him of Cyprus bail-ins to which he said "but won't they get paid back?". I told him "NO" and he was surprised. I then related it to the bailouts, GM and AIG and others having their debt forgiven - and if they didn't have to pay their debts why should I?
He adamantly stated "They had to do it, if they hadn't bailed out the big guys everything would have collapsed and we all would have had nothing left. As long as they bail out the big companies and the rich they'll keep spending money and we'll have jobs."
Didn't expect to hear that from a working Man. That koolaid the MSM serves up must be some powerful stuff.
