Entrepreneurs around the world are "drowning in this nothingness reality," and Saxobank CIO Steen Jakobsen sees a crisis correction as the only outcome of a zero environment in his opinion. "We have zero growth, zero inflation and zero hope," he explains based on his recent global travels meeting business leaders and key investors whose shared negative outlook was striking. P/E ratios don't mean shit anymore... I have a bad feeling that this game of bullshit will continue... after all if all the players agree to the same rules, as insane as they sound, the game keeps going, rigged or not. How can the Fed ever raise rates? Won't higher interest rates basically crush FedGov's ability to service the debt?
i see this logic error all the time on zh which is surprising considering how hep this bunch is on most matters. the fed funds rate has very little to do with treasury rates in this environment. whatever long-short duration arb in treasurys is destroyed by a higher ffr margin call the money coming out of stocks would moar than compensate imo. Ironically QE doesn't cause lower treasury rates either. it causes higher asset prices which in turn actually cost the taxpayers money. If it weren't for QE the 10Y yield would probably be negative.
The fed will raise rates under the cover of the decimation of world war 3. These psychos would destroy the world to save their reputation. Think Japanese and Fukushima.
Who works for who? The FED does not work for the FedGov. It's the other way around! The Republican Congress will raise taxes, by hook or by crook, before they will abolish (or even audit!) the FED. See 2006 Rep. Congress making student loans a lifelong indenture. See also 'Rep. appointed' Roberts' Court calling the ObamaCare penalty a tax. US tax/debt slaves will be forced to pay higher interest rates if that's what it takes to save the bankster establishment via the dollar. Otherwise, it's time to ditch the dollar for Yuan.

Believe me, I am no supporter of Obama but I think on balance, Bush junior was the worst president in the history of the States . . . . . maybe. They pulled off 9/11. There has not been a bigger direct attack on the US in history and members of his government were complicit. You have zero asset inflation. House, the things you "own" the stuff you can't sell to anyone and get what you think it's worth, because they don't have any money either.

No, there won't be a rate hike, but they need to keep pretending that there might be one to provide cover for the spin.
They ended QE in Oct. $85 billion per month. $1 Trillion per month. 6% of $17trillion outstanding US debt a year earlier. That's a huge increase, -$85B per month. That's why oil and commodities have fallen.
