All the comparisons to 2000 seemed a little far-fetched.........until today.
Before the opening bell, I was looking at my iPad from the comfort of my bed, and I took a few screen shots for posterity.
First, the fact that a brokerage's highly-elevated new price target was already exceeded before the market even opened for the day........
The fact that, pathetically, even ZeroHedge has started promoting equity bullishness:
And the real kicker, straight out of early 2000, a call for the NASDAQ to double again......in a year.........just because..........big, round numbers.

One of the problems with ZH model of advertising is it becomes difficult to see the ads from the articles. "Sponsored by:" is a good clue thought.

P/E ratios dont mean shit to foreign capital is running for it's life and domestic funds that if not deriving reasonable yield die from a cash flow coronary. There is nothing rational about this market at all. We are waaaaaaaay deep into much darker place now.
Nonsense, impossible P/E based on bogus numbers are signs of Nirvana for everyone.....

Actually, ZH runs five times as many bearish ads as bullish ones. Today there are ads for Ron Paul's financial advice !!
If you block the ads, you miss a lot of cute Asian chicks looking for middle aged husbands, plus lots of other random interesting things. You can learn a lot about the economy and society from noticing what's being advertises where.
Though I had to disable flash because the deluge of flash video ads was crashing my browser.
