Statue Of Liberty Evacuated Following Bomb Threat, Suspicious Package
The Statue of Liberty was evacuated Friday afternoon after someone called in a bomb threat and parks police reported a suspicious package, law enforcement sources tell NBC4 New York.
The NYPD's bomb squad was called to the scene, along with EMS workers. A security sweep of the island is also being conducted. As yet, no devices have been found.

The FBI said it is aware of the package and is monitoring the situation.

The 'suspicious package' was found, you know, at the 'Liberty' statue.
It consisted of a ream of paper, neatly bundled, probably dropped by a passing Congressman. On the top page, it showed the title of 'USAPATRIOT'. The so-called 'Liberty Barricades' are like a 'Jade Helm' dry-run event (for those who have never experienced the groping of a TSA employee).They're searching everyone for suspicious 20-ounce soft drinks.
As far as the other, the O-bomb-a has been removed, and is safely nestled at a golf course at Andrews AFB.
