Magnificent struggle, yes, but first big turn? Not so much, unless it happened before the 15th of September 1940, which was when Hilti and his minions suffered their first major reverse forcing the postponement/cancellation of Operation Sealion..
Dear Friend, NAZI Germant attacked Greece on 6 April 1941. The NAZI divisions could not break the Greek resistance in the Bulgarian Front for 6 weeks, from 6 April 1941 to 17 May 1941, and for another 4 weeks in the Battle of Crete between 19 May 1941 and 13 June 1941. This delayed NAZI Germany to supply Rommel in Africa for a total of 10 weeks. The result was, NAZI Germany lost the war in North Africa as the British had time to counterattack Rommel. At the same time, instead of 25 April 1941, that was the German plan to attack the Soviet Union they postponed the attack for 6 weeks. This gave the Russians time to prepare. But yes. You are right. This was not the first big turn of WWII. The real big turn was to look the monster at the eyes, like another David who defeated Goliath, small against big, unarmed against armed, and dare to face it! The Greek sacrifice during WWII has shown to the world that the monster can be defeated. And this, at that troubled time, when the whole Europe was surrendered, when Great Britain was struggling alone with the only help of small Greece (the United States of America actively entered WWII in 1942, in 1941 the USA was supplying Britain, but not Greece - Greeks were unarmed), was really the big turn of the war ! The NAZI had really a "good" time in Greece, believe me. We fought them for 4 continuous years and the end we threw them out of the country ! They actually surrendered !!! They know all this. They just cannot admit it. At least their leader at that time had the courage to admit it....
This is all true, and look at the adoration now shown to the Greek people, which can be summed up in a phrase, "What have you done for me lately?" As goes Greece so goes the rest. They better hold fast or TPTB will grind their bones to make their bread.

We work and pay our debt, We have not delayed not even a single payment to the IMF, ECB, and EC! On the contrary the EU withholds payment of the rest of the loan while we have met all our obligations up to now. They say, we will not be able to repay and default. But this is only a hypothesis. It has not happened. Let it first happen, if it happens and then they will have every right to address accussations against Greece and the Greeks. Although the Polish people resisted fiercely and bravely against the NAZI monster, please do not forget they could not resist for a long time, as they were attacked from both NAZI Germany and the Soviet Union !!! As for the French, the French clearly surrendered in a few days time. This left Great Britain alone with small Greece on its side for more than 6 months. It is true the Australians and New Zealanders arrived in Crete in the end of May 1941 and they bravely fought together with the Greeks in the Battle of Crete, But until that time, Greece was alone and unarmed, small against big, but still fighting, Our freedom fighters were only given 7 bullets. When the bullets finished, the Greeks instead of surrendering themselves they put on the bayonets on their guns and started attacking !!! And then the real "party" begun. NAZI troops.... I am beginning to sense the inhumanity of the German position against the Greek people. Prior to this, I've had an admiration for the German arts--literature and music come to mind, but also architecture.
But this admiration is evaporating. I see meanness and cruelty. I see inhumanity to man. I see no mercy. The actions of the German leaders appear to be less than human.
