The Baltimore Riots: The Stunning Comments By Orioles Owner's Son

Tyler Durden's picture

The day after violent protests left Baltimore burning in the wake of a funeral held for Freddie Gray who died after sustaining a spinal injury while being taken into policy custody, Americans are struggling to explain how the events that transpired on Monday evening are possible in modern day America. While most are united in their condemnation of indiscriminant violence, many still feel a palpable sense of injustice after witnessing multiple instances of alleged police misconduct over the past year.

In this context we present the following culled from Twitter messages posted by Orioles Executive Vice President John Angelos, son of majority owner Peter Angelos:

“Brett, speaking only for myself, I agree with your point that the principle of peaceful, non-violent protest and the observance of the rule of law is of utmost importance in any society. MLK, Gandhi, Mandela, and all great opposition leaders throughout history have always preached this precept. Further, it is critical that in any democracy investigation must be completed and due process must be honored before any government or police members are judged responsible.

That said, my greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state.

The innocent working families of all backgrounds whose lives and dreams have been cut short by excessive violence, surveillance, and other abuses of the Bill of Rights by government pay the true price, an ultimate price, and one that far exceeds the importance of any kids’ game played tonight, or ever, at Camden Yards. We need to keep in mind people are suffering and dying around the U.S., and while we are thankful no one was injured at Camden Yards, there is a far bigger picture for poor Americans in Baltimore and everywhere who don’t have jobs and are losing economic civil and legal rights, and this makes inconvenience at a ball game irrelevant in light of the needless suffering government is inflicting upon ordinary Americans.”

Not exactly what the US Department of Truth wanted to hear.

Hopefully all the quality jobs created by the TPP trade agreement will give a lot of folks hope for a better future; much like NAFTA narrowed the wealth gap and was a boon for the American middle class.  Hope and change bitchez!  Just hope you've at least got some change in this seemingly zero-sum game, once our illustrious "job creators" get through helping everyone out.

Bullshit.

The people who burned Baltimore last night didn't have jobs in the 1970s before they were shipped overseas, they don't have jobs now, and they will never work a job in the future. I've been around the ghetto since the '70s. The only difference between now and then is the ghetto is far larger. That had nothing to do with white people losing jobs.

The Great Society and the continuation of the government sponsored welfare state caused the Baltimore riots, Ferguson, etc, etc, etc. In forty years the ghetto population has exponentially expanded thanks to paying welfare mamas to pop out babies with reckless abandon. Done so each new mouth becomes a vote sucking on the tit of Washington DC.

The blame lies with Black America and the white progressives who still see that population as slaves to do their bidding.

But, but, but, but it's police brutality that keeps them down.  Really, if the cops only carried nerf guns, there would be some other silly excuse for poverty in black urban communities.  I am starting to understand that while the average ZH poster may be decently-educated, they have not seen the true conditions in black America first hand.  This is what happens when a culture encourages reproduction, no child rearing, fatherless homes, and dependence on the government.  You end up with extremely poor, angry, confused people.  So, who's fault is this really?  Police brutality sure as hell doesn't help, but it definitely isn't the primary cause of these problems.

And, unsurprisingly, whatever wonderful solutions the Obama-Lynch team devises will have nothing to do with the social problems festering in urban areas.  Nope.  In fact, they will conveniently avoid discussing anything approaching the concept of personal responsibility (because that doesn't fit the narrative).  People who aren't on the dole are much harder to control.

Picking up ADR's comment string about chronic poverty and chronic dependence.

WVAndy made a comment below related that there may have been an intelligence operation to cause a Race Riot or simply a Trend pointing to a coming Race Riot.

I heard this idea in the early 1990s, like connected people knew there would be a Race Riot again in the USA and the Middle East would Blow Up. It seems to me it took over 20 years and needed 'real idiots and zealots' to get into the White House and other Agencies in a sort of new generation.

Take the statement after 911 that middle class Arabs in SA had nothing to do, didn't need to work, didn't have work, and so they became dissidents.

Today it is like in 2000 the idiot NATO, UK, US, Israeli, and SA Leaders said let's just kick this off. Then they said well the solution is to tell people they need to be poor, work for low wages, suffer inflation of all sorts, to take their minds off of Dissident Activities.

And the Price Crash in Crude plays into this as SA Middle Class is now suffering without monthly allowance from the Prince or King.

And of course now you see NATO, USA, Israeli, and SA Military saying we are going to war acting like their Intelligence Operations didn't cause all the problems in Global War... while the idiot corporate players caused Economic Meltdown Globally.

chronic poverty and chronic dependence: The answer might be a loss of rights to give birth without having become a Journeymen in a trade or found a career. But that would mean pulling power from VICHY DC & VICHY Wall Street... and ending Free Trade Agreements (Except for Fruit & Produce).

Anyway it would mean returning to real focus on Trades.

John Angelos summarized it all nicely. The entire population has begun figuring it out. Most of my job educating is over and more time is now devoted to not being at the bottom of a barbell economy.

Even if the political winds shift in the right direction its going to take 20 years before we would see a reemerging middle class. I hedge against other possible calamities that could emerge along the way.

I agree with another poster these are birth pangs of distress. I am optimistic based on being so close to the end of our evolution but think all here will taste classical death before it is a thing of the past. Still wiah to work toward that goal even if I myself dont make it.

It is sourced from CBS aka MSM and

Tweets have been edited together for cohesion)

There is an agenda alright here or else CBS news wouldn't have carried it.
It has the emotionally charged buzz words and jargon and the sentence structure is too perfect.

Like some rich fuckwit is that eloquent as the city burns around him. How calm and eloquent would you be in that situation?

The whole thing flows like a linguistic algorithm aka modern day script writer composed it...

Have you also noticed the subtle association of everyone called the US a democracy when it is not a democracy, it never was.

Important note the propaganda matrix likes to double tap on keywords words to program you. Democracy/mob rules then it flips the idea backwards to cause cognitive dissonance saying investigation and rule of law must be done, mob rules assholes, whatever the mob says aka democracy goes rules be damned. They make it up as they go along depending how they feel about it not how they think.

Then he goes on to blame everyone else using all the keywords but if we were a democracy then culprits are only the mob not the elites or politicians.

Rule of law is whatever a democracy wants it to be at any given time, there is no law only mob rules of law and that is at the whim of the mob at any given moment in time.

This is why controlling the pleasure palace of your brain is so important to the propaganda matrix. That is how you control mobs through brain neurotransmitter drug addiction using linguage instead of actual drugs like cocaine, you can cycle them high and low just using words that emotional resonance levels are preprogrammed ahead of time through structured exposure within a carefully crafted propaganda matrix. He is a programmed iZombie like the rest of the mob just playing the protagonist to help move along the bigger story in this particular scripted episode.

If guys like Bernays and Goebbels had access to quantum neural net AI's, satellite systems and cell phones.....

For those that might still be somewhat observant have you noticed the frequency of the usage of the word space all over the place as late in varying contexts.

You think it is a coincidence the current Attorney General's last name just happens to be Lynch aka rule of law and lynch mob aka democracy or is it another example of the matrix double tapping an idea subtly to programm people into believing contradictory ideas so it can create cognitive dissonance to control the mobs through emotion.

And not only that what is the image that comes into people's heads concerning lynch mobs. Civil rights era whites hanging blacks and she happens to be black so there is another cognitive dissonance programming moment associating a black woman as the lynch mobs.

Few more points, why is bring her up salient to this? When it is escalated who's up next for the public to view if it gets out of control. Why Loretta Lynch just like before with Ferguson and Holder....

The matrix is setting the table for the next round of the story. Computer neural nets love mathematical symmetries like this since that is how they work using things like the google pagerank alogrithm to chain together words and ideas together into an interconnected story using game theory as the means for choice based plot progression.

The other one is inequality of any kind and then using it in the context of democracy. Democracy is a guarantee on inequality since the rights of minorites (keyword aka blacks) doesn't exist in mob rules law. That is why we used to be a Representative Republic because Republics when they work correctly protect the rights of the minority through laws that can't be changed on whims because of how the mob feels at any given point and time.

Lastly

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-04-28/furious-baltimore-mom-offers-ho...

Doom porn serving up hope and faith.....

Faith and hope emotionally charged words based in belief not knowing aka knowledge on a doom porn site. Beauty is you can interpret that both ways without added context, either way the end result is the same to emotionally charge to readers and commenters. Eye hope you folks are paying attention. Pay close attention to the comments on that thread also.....

By using the propaganda matrix to dumb down people and turn them into sensory drug addicts the matrix itself has become the same thing because it has machine learning abilities to adapt the newsflow to control the addicts in the first place.

It is a circular toilet flush in action.

Your comments may be more perceptive than youmight be  aware.

The Western (Occidental)  Mind is manipulated aurally-through the ears. Think of the ways a Southern Baptist preacher drives his congregation. Listen to Ronnie Reagan or Jack Kennedy.

The Eastern (Oriental ) Mind is manipulated through the eyes.  Look at their writing. Their characters.  DO NOT ever presume to close a business deal with them by merely a word and a handshake. You have't connected. They will murmur whatever they think you want to hear.

Point is-they are, as a group, immune to Anglo-American bullshit that has trashed the Western World.  Probably the reason their cultures and societies appear to be on the ascendence

He has got it bass ackwards.

There is a reason why oriental cultures are even easier to mass control than the US. This is the biggest one

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logogram

...
A logogram, or logograph, is a grapheme which represents a word or a morpheme (the smallest meaningful unit of language). This stands in contrast to phonograms, which represent phonemes (speech sounds) or combinations of phonemes, and determinatives, which mark semantic categories.
...
The main difference between logograms and other writing systems is that the graphemes aren't linked directly to their pronunciation. An advantage of this separation is that one doesn't need to understand the pronunciation or language of the writer to understand it. The reader will recognise the meaning of 1, whether it is called one, ichi or w??id in the language of the writer. Likewise, people speaking different Chinese dialects may not understand each other in speaking, but may do so to a significant extent in writing even if they don't write in standard Chinese. Therefore, in China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan prior to modern times, communication by writing (??) was the norm of international trade and diplomacy.
...

That is why China can be run as an ant colony. The Japanese are even worse off because of this.
...

This separation, however, also has the great disadvantage of requiring the memorization of the logograms when learning to read and write, separately from the pronunciation. Though not an inherent feature of logograms but due to its unique history of development, Japanese has the added complication that almost every logogram has more than one pronunciation. Conversely, a phonetic character set is written precisely as it is spoken, but with the disadvantage that slight pronunciation differences introduce ambiguities.

...

Now you know why the global dominance pivot is moving towards China. That already established ant colony because of how their language works makes it that much easier for the propaganda matrix to control through linguistic (visual and spoken) drug addiction. It is also the same reason Japan has even more so controllable by the West because of the phonetic nature of their language.

If you are setting up a global empire you need a full spectrum propaganda system to go along with it. Where would you base it out of, Eye know I would base it out of the biggest human ant colony in the world since it is the easiest to control with said propaganda system.

Same as always, false flag type activity, as even the 'provocateurs' were noticed on Fox News, not known for their reporting on the illict imperial activity at home or abroad. The former highly decorated NYC police detective Bo Dietl stated about these provocateurs, "And I saw -- it's just funny to see -- these white guys, sixt-foot tall white guys with bandanas over their faces. They're trying to hide their faces, what are they doing there?"

Could it be the testing of the LRAD weapon vehicles from Fort Meade? And what about the NSA text sent out about a 'Purge' to take place at 3 p.m.? Interesting that the local public transport system was shut down to prevent those students from getting home, thus guaranteeing the students prescence out on the streets. I agree with a lot of what he said yet at the same time, some of it is complete bullshit, especially since I bet the Orioles have no problem selling goods that are made in those "third world dictatorships" rather than only accepting products made in the U.S.A. and I am sure the Orioles have no problem low-balling employees so the execs make the most cash.

Guy has his head screwed on straight. Some might say he is doing it for business reasons but, whatever the case, he is right. You can't have a middle income group (I detest the word class) without middle income,,, income. The production was shipped out of country for profit at the expense of the population in general. No national consideration was given as the ussa has joined the ranks of fascism only one step better. They are working on a fascist mercantilism centric world system in which they want to be the big chiefs. ( No insult meant for my Indian compatriots).

They have done so much wrong that it will be impossible to fix it. Like a machine, if you let this and that break without immediately fixing it,,, eventually it will be in such poor shape the only thing you can do is trash it. This is the state of our country. No way it can ever be fixed.

Those that did this are somehow still in power. That should have been the first correction but we are too lazy and let them do this to us,,, and still are. The breakup of the nation will be the ultimate end to their doings. Maybe that's their plan, maybe not,,, either way, it's in the cards and nothing can be done. It would be nice, however, to see a few of the SOB's dangling from lamp posts.

There's an easy way to tell that he's disingenuous.  When he mentions the loss of middle class jobs, and so on, he conveniently neglects to mention unfavorable taxation and regulatory climate in the US.  He doesn't address any of the reasons for companies pulling up sticks and relocating their factories to Mexico.  And even in a perfect regulatory/taxation climate, it simply doesn't make sense to manufacture some things domestically.  Americans have a high standard of living.  They are relatively expensive to employ.  That is good for some industries and bad for others.  It really isn't complicated.

He's in a cozy position as the heir to a pure luxury dynasty (sports) that can't be exported.  Back in the real world, companies that actually add value have to grapple with foreign competition.

Further, it is critical that in any democracy investigation must be completed and due process must be honored before any government or police members are judged responsible.

This is for American people, abroad the USA practices something different. The elected government sitting in Kiev won a free and fair election, judged by the International observers. YET, that government was overthrown in a US Coup, using extreme street viloence and snipers trained in Poland and working for some faction of the Right Sector/CIA.

Americans called this coup. Peaceful, Just, Fair, Necessary, Legal. Videos show the attacks on police, they were extreme. YET, Washington called it "Peaceful"

What's my point? Baltimore is under the rule of Washington's Elties, THUS, no viloence is justified, no overthrow of leaders. NOPE! We must have a peaceful and legal investigation carried out by the very Elites who rule.

Is this two faced? Is this rank hypocrisy?  Yes, in reality it is. BUT in the world constructed by Washington's Rulers, we can have opposite worlds, one for others, one for Washington.

Angelos Jr didn't name names but if he did they would be Bill Clinton, Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, Sandy Weill, and Hank Paulson for a good start to the public trials.

Oh yeh... they are all at the Milken Institute's Annual crime fest in LA this weekend. Arrest them all... for a start.

First, it truly started with the creature from Jekyll Island and the subsequent sell-out in 1913. But in recent history, it started with the outright execution of a sitting president in 1963.

Actually, it all started in 1861, although I might be persuaded that it was cooked into the cake when it was originally baked in 1787.  There were a few problems and some folks had some personal agendas other than liberty - A. Hamilton and J. Marshall leap immediately to mind.

Remember that baseball in America is a sanctioned monopoly. Almost anyone with a TV content package is forced to pay for ESPN (what likely remains the highest per subscriber channel cost). I was in San Fran last summer and was shocked at the ticket prices. They actually sell tickets without an actual seat!

The US sports business looks to be as out of control as the other out of control elements in the US.

Who paid for the stadium?

"Not wanting to chance losing the Orioles—and Baltimore's status as a major-league city in its own right—city and state officials immediately set about building a new park in order to keep them in town."

This is how they Socialize Costs, Privatize Profits in The D.

The “construction jobs” will be gone once the stadium is complete.   After, only beer jockey jobs will remain for the native folk.

‘The $450 million arena is 58% publicly funded. Though Olympia will keep all revenues from arena operations, the project is expected to create thousands of construction jobs and help revive a section of the Cass Corridor currently lined with vacant lots and dilapidated buildings”

At least in Baltimore they let Americans build the stadium.

In Texas, they get Central Americans to build them and if you want to get a job as, say, a flagman, you have to speak Spanish.

True, but only as a last resort.

And no civil rights battle was ever won without violence, to my knowledge.

BTW, why is it portrayed as a noble cause when we spend billions of dollars to go to some Middle Eastern nation and drop bombs on God-knows-who, but it is somehow cirminal when US citizens fight against their own oppression?

"That said, my greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state."

Where to begin?

1. Bringing good-paying jobs back to Baltimore won't solve its nigger problem.

2. The people who sent the good jobs away are the only ones who can still afford to attend an Orioles game.

3. Your team, like all major sports teams, get tax exemptions and subsidies so Baltimore can have a baseball team---which, in the world  your drinking buddies inhabit, is proof your not-terribly-fair city is more than a nigger-ridden hell hole.

If you want to be part of the solution, call a spade a spade and a nigger a goddamn nigger, and insist Baltimore's finest and the National Guard do their goddamn jobs before the long-suffering whites of the great state of Maryland do it for them.

But I'm sure being part of the problem pays much better.

What's that Muricans? Don't like "outsourcing" of jobs, but you "strongly support" free trade agreements, hm? hehehe Only in stupid Muricans cunt-heads can so obvious contradictions, contrasts and disagreements so happily coexists alongside each other (that is why Muricans are such good liars and fraudsters). Reminds me of that story of free markets that you like to boast to stand behind, but, lo and behold, Muricans see no problems of central bank - you know an institution charged with interfering in the works of free market mechanisms on regular basis - merrily coexisting with the "free markets." hehehe

En+:

Read out loud, Muricans: You cannot compete with the hard-working, industrious Chinese, especially in the stuff requiring strong work ethic, and even more specially -- certainly not Negro-Muricans who do not even know what that is. Negro-Muricans are lazy, stupid and parasitic people -- a true prototype of a modern Murican scum: stupid and parasitic. 2 words most accurately describing your degenerate kind, dear stupid Muricans! That is spot on.  And the next "free trade" deal will make things even worse.

Russia is doing better and better after having sancitons placed on it.  Russia now is looking inwards fo supply its needs which in turn build good paying jobs and revitalizes the economy.  This is a lesson for the USA too.
