Furious Baltimore Mom Offers Hope, Restores Faith In Humanity
It was all too easy to see the devastation unleashed on Baltimore last night as angry protesters showed their disgust at the police by burning, breaking, and looting their city, and give up hope for America's future. But there was a bright spot... a sign that people really do know right from wrong...
One extremely disappointed mother took her rioting son to task...
As teenage African-American males rampaged across the city, not all Baltimore residents are in agreement with this violent behavior, as seen in the video below in which a mother decides to take matters into her own hands with her son and screams obscenities at him as she attacks him, no doubt worried about his safety in the midst of the chaos.
And these CVS employees are distraught...
And even President Obama has voice dhis opposition:

I think about what would happen, if a white, Dad did that to his teenage daughter say at a high school football game after he found her drunk with her friends. There is NO alternative to clean up the population. My children work their asses off on the farm. We have a huge garden, an orchard, and animals for a couple of different reasons. We like real food for sure, but it also gives the kids a chance to see that you do whatever is necessary to make it. Sure, Dad has a PhD, mom has her master degree, but we're not afraid to be shovelling excrement. Hell, i tis the best fertilizer of all. These homeschooled kids don't have to take biology classes in the same way as others. Dissection time comes when we fill the freezer.
Many kids need to learn to work like this. Tons of them...but it is up to the parents to make that happen. Strong leadership needs to come at home.

There would probably be a lot more sympathy for them if they had focused their violence against the police and left everybody else alone. Now, there are a lot of other innocent victims who had nothing to do with Freddy Gray, and they weren't victimized by the police. This is why I detest mob violence almost as much as I detest police brutality. Both are wrong.

This is the shit we get when the father is replaced by the nanny state. If I ever talked back to my mom when she was correcting me, my dad would have laid into me. I do the same for my wife when she is disciplining our kids. None of these kids no how to act like a man, because there isn't any one to teach them. I dunno. A buddy of mine always breathed a sigh of relief when he got in trouble and his mother told him "You just wait until your father gets home." When she meted out the punishment, it was with a wooden spoon and she had piss poor aim, so it wasn't just his butt that got beaten, and hard, it was the backs of his legs and his back too.
Truth be told mom was the scarier of the two for the most part. Usually dad would get mad, clench his teeth, and restrain himself where as mom would just cut loose. Dad got scary whenever I backed talked mom, there were no restraints at that point.

No "time out sitting in the corner" here. The son will remember this for the rest of his life and think more than twice before doing something like this again. I grew up with strong parenting and learned right and wrong very quickly. And no, I never hit my kids and yes, the turned out great. Just a "look" from my mom or dad was all it took from then on.

This mom didn't pull any punches, literally. But the truth is she won't have much influence over her son. 10-1 this boy is being raised in a single parent, mom-led family. Black boys may love their mommas but that doesn't mean they won't be inlfuenced more by the streets than by her. Single largest problem in black families is the scarcity of a father in the home.
