When $140 Billion In Buybacks Isn't Enough...
After two efforts at spiking momentum (last night and this morning), AAPL shares are now down over 1% from the close and falling on very heavy volume. As Nanex's Eric Hunsader notes, AAPL has overtaken the e-mini S&P futures contract this morning as the most heavily traded security in US markets.
It appears $140bn in buybacks is just not enough... and the CFO said there will be no change to that until next year...

WHOA!
Something is very wrong..
What? With their own money?
I've heard of bragging rights, but this is crazy.
Cash out and let it go, You can always buy the dip.
Actually, they went from zero debt in Sept 2012 to $36 billion debt today. Inventories is up 150% and receivables is up 50%. Net tangible assets is down almost 10%. AAPL isn't creating and wealth at all even with their "explosive" sales. Look at their balance sheet over three years. Liabilities are up $63 billion while assets are up only $55 billion. The stock is only going up because of the buybacks. In short, there are fewer people sharing a smaller pie.

What and leave IBM all by itself as the lone dow savior? When in doubt pump IBM !!
If IBM gets in trouble, they can always sell DOS to some kid for some quick cash.
IFucked..
Inoliquidity BITCHEZZZ
Well, if APPL starts to drop, they can leave it in the DOW. They will just change the weighting to lessen the affect.
The DOW is already weighted by share price. The higher the price, the larger the effect on the Dow average. The lower the share price, the smaller the effect on the average. So as AAPL's shares lose value they have progressively less and less effect on the Dow.
Fuck AAPL
So much of America today looks and acts like a fucking walking talking IJunk zombie.
cnbs had a story online yesterday showing cook with his hands up as in victory.....what the hell has he actually done except announce greater buybacks?
Right around 4:30 Bubblevision had some sell-side asshole on there blabbing about AAPL with Kelly Evans. I could have just pounded that dickhead into oblivion. I thought he was going to literally have an on-air orgasam over this shit. AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN TALKED ABOUT THE WATCH.
Fuck you, fuck AAPL, fuck the watch, and fuck your little dog too.
Buybacks are the victory.
I don't want your fucking watch
it's called selling the news and next week it will be up, and since when is it news to be down 1%?? meh meh meh
Apple's revenue is directly tied to the amount of product stuffed into their channels in China.
Check for the "channel rebates" on Apple's statements.
IT companies have done this for decades - fake sales.
its doubtful they accounted for any currency changes either....china sales were probably a wash and I say that after doing zero research.
I like the company, have an iPhone, but the stock is way too high.
I hate the fuking company (second only to Google), don't have and never will have their iShit and don't give a fuk about their stock. Other than that - we're in agreement
Okay now I am totally confused!
So did Apple ever get moved out of the Nasdaq over to the Dow?
I didn't think so as the Nasdaq had acted like it was still in the Nasdaq and the Dow as acting like apple wasn't in it yet.
Whatever...
But yea the Dow will get pissed to attain it just for the ride down because it moved over top of economic cycle.
Or then maybe not...
Did it ever move to the Dow .... It was suppose to that's why I nibble on the TZA early... Totally got the impressions watching the index numbers behavior that it hadn't moved over entirely.
Has the Nasdaq been still running like apples in it while it's not and visa versa?
I call the Peak!
I never purchase an Apple product. They are over priced always.
Apple exec says -- watch out!
I have a lot of iCrap stuff but that watch is a total loser. I'm not buying one 'til it's waterproof to at least 10ATM because I'm accident-prone around water and need a watch on me while I swim. I think a lot of sheeple bought AAPL in the low 90s when it was clear they were definitely going to sell that big screen phone in time for xmas 2014 and now those sheeple are selling enough this week so that the shares they have left over are all paid for by that profit and Apple can do whatever it wants 'til their spaceshipHQ takes off from Cupertino.
