Texas Governor Calls Up State Guard To Counter Jade Helm "Federal Invasion" Fears

Tyler Durden's picture

We’ve mentioned the upcoming Jade Helm military exercises on a few occasions lately (here and here). In short, Jade Helm is an eight-week joint military and Interagency Unconventional Warfare exercise conducted throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Here’s the official press release:

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, March 24, 2015) - Members of U.S. Army Special Operations Command will train with other U.S Armed Forces units July 15 through Sept. 15 in a multi-state exercise called Jade Helm 15.

USASOC periodically conducts training exercises such as these to practice core special warfare tasks, which help protect the nation against foreign enemies. It is imperative that Special Operations Soldiers receive the best training, equipment and resources possible.

While multi-state training exercises such as these are not unique to the military, the size and scope of Jade Helm sets this one apart. To stay ahead of the environmental challenges faced overseas, Jade Helm will take place across seven states. However, Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF) will only train in five states: Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. The diverse terrain in these states replicates areas Special Operations Soldiers regularly find themselves operating in overseas.

The training exercise will be conducted on private and public land with the permission of the private landowners, and from state and local authorities.  In essence, all exercise activity will be taking place on pre-coordinated public and private lands.

The public can expect nothing much different from their day-to-day activities since much of exercise will be conducted in remote areas. The most noticeable effect the exercise may have on the local communities is an increase in vehicle and military air traffic and its associated noise. There will also be economic gain: an increase in the local economy, in fuel and food purchases and hotel lodging.

This exercise is routine training to maintain a high level of readiness for ARSOF since they must be ready to support potential missions anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.

During this eight-week period, ARSOF soldiers will use this opportunity to further develop tactics, techniques and procedures for emerging concepts in Special Operations warfare.

USASOC intends to conduct the exercise safely and courteously while providing the best possible training available for the nation's Army Special Operations Forces. State and local officials are being informed of the scope of Jade Helm and will continue to be updated as the exercise progresses.

Got it. So essentially, from July 15 to September 15 some military personnel are going to take a trip out west and pretend like they are conducting covert operations overseas. Doesn’t sound too exciting — but that’s just the press release. The devil, as they say, is always in the details which is why we took some time to look over the Jade Helm presentation (embedded below) to see if we could discern more about the drills. Here are some highlights we found interesting/humorous.

First, there’s the rather amusing state classification map wherein Texas and Utah are deemed “hostile” and where New Mexico is “leaning hostile.” California is “permissive” (we suppose this means the populace has resigned itself to what was probably, were this real, a unilateral invasion by the US military), but unfortunately, there appears to be an insurgency brewing in San Diego.

Next is the section entitled “Why Texas?” wherein the US Army Special Operations Command first explains how patriotic Texans generally are, then hilariously proceeds to suggest (in as polite a manner as possible) that the Lone Star state 1) resembles the type of desert wasteland soldiers might expect to encounter in a modern overseas conflict, 2) is just underdeveloped enough in many areas to give trainees an idea of what it might be like to be operating undercover in a hostile Middle Eastern country, 3) is home to the type of xenophobia which will make the locals approximately as skeptical of “outsiders” as the inhabitants of an occupied country might be but who are at the same time just gullible enough to be tricked into trusting the “invaders,” and best of all 4) is home to social and economic conditions that any normal American would consider “unfamiliar.” Here are some excerpts:

Why Texas?

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has conducted numerous exercises in Texas, because Texans are historically supportive of efforts to prepare our soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors to fight the enemies of the United States.

To hone advanced skills, the military and Interagency require large areas of undeveloped land with low population densities with access to towns…

Operating in and around communities where anything out the ordinary will be spotted and reported (Locals are the first to notice something out of place). The opportunity to work with civilians to gain their trust and an understanding of the issues...

Adapting to unfamiliar terrain, social and economic conditions.

Basically then, 1,200 special ops soldiers are going to conduct a fake, covert infiltration of Texas because the US Special Operations Command thinks that in a lot of ways, Texas resembles Afghanistan.

That’s ok though, because as the government notes in the informational slide deck, the operation will have a dramatic impact on the local economy thanks to the injection of a staggering $150,000 via the purchase of “food, gas, lodging, and services” for the pretend invaders. That figure may sound small, but remember, we’re suspending reality here and one dollar equals 57 afghanis, so if we stick with the Afghanistan analogy, the government is actually injecting 8,550,000 in local currency.

While we’re certainly concerned about the creeping militarization of American communities (as discussed in detail here), we’re clearly employing a bit of sarcasm in our analysis of Jade Helm, but as one might imagine, many Texans are finding the operation to be no laughing matter. Here’s more via The Washington Post:

At an information session in Bastrop on Monday, command spokesman Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria fielded questions about whether Jade Helm 15 will involve bringing foreign fighters from the Islamic State to Texas, whether U.S. troops will confiscate Texans’ guns and whether the Army intends to implement martial law, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

“It’s the same thing that happened in Nazi Germany: You get the people used to the troops on the street, the appearance of uniformed troops and the militarization of the police,” Bastrop resident Bob Wells told the Statesman after the meeting.

“They’re gathering intelligence. That’s what they’re doing. And they’re moving logistics in place for martial law. That’s my feeling. Now, I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong. I hope I’m a ‘conspiracy theorist.'”

According to the Statesman, Lastoria attempted to assuage residents’ concerns, saying the operation in Bastrop County will take place almost entirely on private land leased to the Army by the owner. And participants won’t be trying to sneak through the population undetected — everyone involved will wear uniforms or orange armbands signaling that they are part of the exercise, he said.

Meanwhile, some websites which The Post describes as being “of varying repute” have gone so far as to posit a link between Wal-Mart’s recent “plumbing” problems and Jade Helm.

We’ll leave it to readers to decide for themselves how far-fetched any or all of this is or isn’t, but surely the punchline to the entire story is that now, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor the Jade Helm exercises. Here is the letter from Abbott to Major General “Jake” Betty:

Abbott Jade Helm

This surely marks Jade Helm's "full retard" moment, as you now have a Texas governor pitting the Texas Guard against the US Special Operations Command amid fears the federal government — possibly in conjunction with Wal-Mart — is using special forces to gather intelligence on the way to taking over the state. Only in America.

I still think the holocaust happened, although the numbers were surely greatly inflated to get to the magical "6 million" -

but if they could lie about the Katyn forest massacr e- the NY Times and other Jewish owned papers blamed the Nazis when it was the Germans who invited in the world press after chasing out the Bolsheviks, including NKVD [largely Jewish run then - though that's whitewashed, of course]..invited in the red cross - but they still got blamed for it, for decades.

So who's to say they arent lying about #s or set up at Auschwitz?

At very least, crimninalizing inquiry suggests something to hide.

No one is threatened with arrest for claiming to have seen Sasquatch. So if the holocaust and 6 million is 100% true - why worry at all about the 10% that question the official story?

Great comment.

It highlights the most important thing, that we don't have to be in agreement, but need to be informed, aware, and thinking.

If we do that, truth will take care of itself.

kchrisc/ckirsch*, for some reason the word OVERLORDS comes to mind.

And with that word, an image of the real Overlords in Arthur C Clarke's famous novel Childhood's End: diabolical alien creatures, with fine-sounding words and a singular agenda.

*C Kirschner (Pres. of Arg.) anagram for kchrisc, interestingly enough.  ;-)

Kirk, "overlords" is the word.

People just don't understand that we, the American people, are up against not just a tyrannical government, but the overseas "overlords" that run and control them--we have two enemies.

As for "kchrisc." I signed up here rather casually, and got stuck with the name. If I had been thinking ahead, I would have picked something better, and with a bit a of a cool ring to it like yours; maybe "PikeNCC1701"

How about instead of training to fight in Pipelineistan - we have the weekend warriors guarding the southern border?

Fucking guard and reserves are both jokes. at least for the border states, why not have them as extra eyes on the border?

well, clearly, the people that really run the country want to keep the flood of unskilled, foreign language speakers going, even during shitty economic times, because America's standard of living has to be brought down to something more like Latin America.

How you likin' that "freedom of speech?" You know - the right that... heh heh... we're fighting the Taliban... heh heh... to defend?

Wasn't it the residents of Texas that got the Trans-Texas Corridor stopped a few years ago?

According to Dick Gregory, only 15% of the US military were born in the USA.

And, he suspects that a lot of the shootings of African Americans by white officers are false flags in preparation for martial law.

So, check out the videos of the crisis actors at the shooting scenes and the provacateurs and then come back and tell us that Texas has gone "full retard."

A few things to note. Not only is Texas considered hostile territory in this exercise but College Station appears to be a hub for it.

What's located in College Station?

1. Texas A&M University's Corps of Cadets, the largest senior military college in the south.

2. In addition, Governor Abbott's daughter will be attending Texas A&M this fall as a freshman (Jade Helm overlaps with the start of classes).

The Mexicans breached the walls so fast that the Texans ran.

Leaving loaded cannons that the Mexicans turned around to win the morning of March 6th.

Don't get cocky with your bullshit myths.

About 40 Texans ran from the fort and were cut down by Mexican cavalry.

Davey was executed against a mud hut wall.

Everyone keeps on MISSING THE POINT!

Whether there may be Martial Law is secondary

to the fact that the ENTIRE OPERATION IS ILLEGAL!

IT IS UNCONSITUTIONAL!

Jade Helm flies in the face of the Posse Comatitus Act of 1878.  No standing army is allowed on non-fedearal lands for exercises.

I could give you 1000 different scenarios that might happen during this "exercise".

But consider just this one:

A woman is screaming as she's dragged through the city street and into a van.  Someone calls 911.

They are told that law enforcement is aware of the situation, and that she must just be a role player as

part of the Jade Helm exercise.  Point: How can anyone truly know what is real and what is NOT, during this "exercise"?

I served in the USAF 1985 to 1989.  Not once did we ever have an exercise OFF Base.

If this non-Federal land exercise were so legal, then why did Mr. Thomas Meade meet with city council after city council to convince them to send a "letter of invitation" to SOCOM?

Wed, 04/29/2015 - 18:37 | 6044681 Condition 1SQ

Well there are a ton of "unconstitutional" laws being enforced and many "unconstitutional" activities permitted under the law.  Let's face it, whether something is unconstitutional is up to the judicial branch, which has rendered the constitution little more than toilet paper since everything is viewed through a progressive prism.  It is what it is.  Here is the Army's interpretation of the law.  Interesting read.

Wrong.  The Judicial Branch actually exists to settle matters between the Legislative and Exeuctive Branches, in order that neither supersedes their powers.

This idea that the Judicial Branch, aka the Supreme Court is supposed to determine the Constitutionality of Law is absurd, and it was never intended that the

Supreme Court would act in such a way.

Screw the Army's interpretation.  Of course they and the DoD would lean in the direction that suits them.

Unless you want to get used to seeing fully armed military men at your malls, and in your streets and residential neighborhoods,

I would suggest that you either write or call everyone you know and DEMAND that Jade Helm NEVER TAKE PLACE!

Wed, 04/29/2015 - 19:17 | 6044872 Condition 1SQ
Condition 1SQ's picture

What the fuck are you talking about?  The judicial branch interprets law and applies it to a particular case.  So yes, the courts routinely decide "constitutionality", whatever that means nowadays.  It took states suing the federal government to have the constitutionality of aspects of Obamacare scrutinized, for instance.

Yeah, Jade Helm sucks, but if you use the law as you interpret it as grounds for opposing Jade Helm, they'll just counter with their interpretation.  I had hoped you'd bother reading the link and rebut it, but it sounds like you'd rather stomp your feet like an angry little child.  Whatever.

Here is my counter-offer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLM4-aImMkY&app=desktop

"Jade Helm sucks"?  That's the best that you can do?  No, Jade Helm is a full-on military exercise (in the least) that sets a horrifying precedence.

Further, when you've got ex-President Bill Clinton and ex-SOS Hillary Clinton facilitating the sale of 20 to 50% of American uranium ore to a

Russian Company (think about eventually getting nuked by your own uranium), which is a vital NATIONAL SECURITY INTEREST, how on

Earth can you be so naive to think that Jade Helm is just another National Guard anti-riot-against-everyday-Americans exercise?

Have you even bothered to research the myriad of National Guard exercises recently, including one on a Sunday morning just last week, where

you had NG troops walking through a city park with full-on weapons and gear?

What is this nation coming to, or better yet, what are "they" preparing for!

I have already had to cancel our family's summer vacation to southern Utah.  Who knows if there will be road blocks.

If there are, and you have the military creating checkpoints, pulling people and their families over, what happens when the

8 year old kid pulls out a nice imitation gun?  Is the van to be riddled with bullets?

Oh, and one other thing--I travel with guns...lots of guns...and I sure as HELL ain't giving them up at some military checkpoint.

No argument there, but making any sort of legal argument w.r.t. posse comitatus is a non-starter.  The Army's interpretation is the one that will be upheld in court, so talking law will get you nowhere.  They decide the law and only understand force.

I do have to chuckle at the paunchy, non-intimidating shill saddled with presenting this to the public https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLM4-aImMkY&app=desktop

Constitution of the State of Wyoming

Sec. 1.  Power inherent in the people. All power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and insti-tuted for their peace, safety and happiness; for the advancement of these ends they have at all times an inalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.

Sec. 4.  Security against search and seizure. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects against unrea-sonable searches and seizures shall not be violated, and no warrant shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by affidavit, particularly de-scribing the place to be searched or the person or thing to be seized.

Sec. 24.  Right to bear arms. The right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and of the state shall not be denied.

Sec. 25.  Military subordinate to civil power; quartering soldiers. The military shall ever be in strict subordination to the civil power. No soldier in time of peace shall be quartered in any house without consent of the owner, nor in time of war except in the manner prescribed by law.

Sec. 26.  Treason. Treason against the state shall consist only in levying war against it, or in adhering to its enemies, or in giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testi-mony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court; nor shall any person be attained of treason by the legislature.

Note specifically Section 26.  Treason = Levying war against the State.  Jade Helm is levying war against each State that it occurs in, once a single real shot is fired at civilians.  Is the government prepared to defend itself, if and when this occurs?

Do not think for a second that the riots in Baltimore and now NYC were created in a vacuum.  These riots are being created and controlled ON PURPOSE.  The National Guard has been training for riot control for several years now, and more recently, at a pace unheard of.  By the time Jade Helm rolls around, mark my words, you will see race riots throughout many, many cities.  This is all being setup by Obama and the leftist Mayors of many cities, in order to acclimate the US citizens into seeing and wanting National Guard troops in major cities and towns.

By the time Jade Helm rolls around, it will be game over.  In actuality, there have been more white civilians killed by cops this year in the United States, then blacks who have been killed by cops.  One recent case was just outside of Billings, MT, where a cop shot and killed a driver he'd pulled over, simply for reaching into his back seat.  And the driver had no weapon in the car.  All that FOX News cared about was the crying cop (on video) that had just killed the man.  Oh, and the man was WHITE.

Then, there's the recent video put out by AARP and the Ad Council with a creepy Martial Law subliminal message in the background (on a TV) where a woman was in the living room, sitting down, and then got up to take care of her kid in the bath tub.  The words on the TV in the background are:

"...are also encouraged to lock and bar all doors, windows, and any other points of entry.

Riots nationwide have prompted local governments to declare Martial Law.  The President

is asking that citizens find safety and remain calm.  Authorities are working their hardest

to contain the outbreak."

And, then, notice the light green (jade) towel for the daughter, and the mother pictured in a light

green (jade) shirt, and a picture above showing a jade colored knitting needle, which is right next

to a lamp adorned with a HELM.

Here's the link to the Ad Council/AARP video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8Xn28i9_l0

Well, this is creepy:  The Ad has been pulled and is marked as "private only", when only yesterday, I watched it

on the Ad Council's web site.  But you can still see the video by going to InfoWars:

For over a decade.. the Pentagon and the US Congress have been chipping away at Posse Commitatus .. one way is through creation of other laws that are contradictory . .like Patriot and NDAA .. to the US military .. and it seems to the FEDS in general . Posse Commitatus is irrelevant. they have not stuck its corpse in a grave but its DEAD ... Col. Michael Boatner: Y there has been some concern and some misimpressions that I would like to correct. The primary purpose of this force is to provide help to people in need in the aftermath of a WMD-like event in the homeland. It's something that figures very prominently in the national planning scenarios under the National Response Framework, and that's how DoD provides support in the homeland to civil authority. This capability is tailored technical life-saving support and then further logistic support for that very specific scenario. So, we designed it for that purpose.  After 911 . which they KNEW was coming . go read the Hart Rudman Commission Report 1999  2000 . they laid out the Dept. of Homeland Security and changes to the use of the National Guard .. which became just one more tool or group to send to wars of choice.. AFghanistan and Iraq . anyway .... after 911 . the next step was NORTHCOM .. the Army stationed an active unit inside the United States. The Infantry Division's 1st Brigade Team is back from Iraq, now training for domestic operations under the control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The unit will serve as an on-call federal response for large-scale emergencies and disasters. It's being called the Consequence Management Response Force, CCMRF, or "sea-smurf" for short.

It's the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to USNORTHCOM, which was itself formed in October 2002 to "provide command and control of Department of Defense homeland defense efforts.  ITS A DONE DEAL .. POSSE IS DEAD DUCK . it may be on the books but hey are ignoring the hell out of it... making it irrelevant one step at a time.

In terms of insurgencies, the US has been knee deep in AfPak for nearly 15 years and still doesn't hold any meaningful territory.

The lesson learned is that when SOF is deployed they better bring pallets of $100 bills and pay the right local chieftains off.

This works until it doesn't, which is why these regions are quagmires and the same goes for the whole US of A.

Its a farce to think the mighty US military could hold every population/industrial center in the US during some national emergency.

In part this is why certain political groups are obsessed with controlling say; Chicago or LA.

But really.  Think about it.  Could the LA PD control East LA 24/7 and not reduce other services in the region?  Even with battalions of Guard on every street corner?

You can't 'shelter in place' forever.  Even the Israelis let the Arabs of Palestine move around once a year. Even the Nazi's opened the ghettos between curfews.

There are more Americans trained and armed with firearms than all the world's armies combined.

I hope that reality makes these Deep State control freaks stop and think about long terms CONUS issues.

If SOF think they can fly over a desert, kick the tumbleweeds and claim operational dominance in this frontier, then they are still fighting the last war wearing their Redcoats.

Amazing that the scope of these exercises are no longer contained on Fort Irwin, the Philippines, or the vast sandboxes of the ME.

Just wait until the land drones are deployed - able to sit and wait for months, able to look miles around, able to put a single round center mass with 100% precision.

Practice for an invasion and occupation of Iran. SOme parts will be easily taken by armored and infantry divisions. But Iran is huge, and has deserts and many mountains, where insurgency would flourish. Some middle class city folk will go along with American rule, rural folk will not take kindly to Americanization. So hence we have Texas and Utah unwilling beneficiaries of American conquest.

I see overtones of an invasion of European Russia here as well, but Iran strikes homes as a prefect traget for these troops when trained up across an area of the USA about the exact size of Iran, and containing Mountains, deserts, sea coasts, and extensive rural areas, with some cities possibly leaning towards US occupiers.

Think about it. Iran most resembles this entire scenario.

Nevada is in the blue zone?

Not if the BLS is an "Interagency Partner"

Young fools.

Communists never give up, they just change tactics.

Those little yellow bastards still want that land.

Bundy better give Oath Keepers a call JIC.

The financial system collapsed in 2008. Why do people think that the banksters wouldn't take over ahead of capital controls. House bill 399 will be passed this summer to close off all the borders including both east and west coasts to prevent capital flight. Banksters are preparing to kill US citizens that don't go along with the NWO but it is possible that people won't let it happen. Things change.

House to house searches are going to be difficult to protect and support under fire.

I wouldn't be suprised if that's a Jade Helm 15 exercise.

Only Texas would suspend the Bill of Rights for 2 months.

American soldiers killing American citizens in their own country.  Let's hope that the citizens never lay their hands on lists of the soldiers families or the costs to the soldiers for their "service" could be very costly to them.

"Evidence exists of direct Israeli support for ISIS fighters. United Nations observers in the Golan Heights reported to the United Nations Security Council of direct contact between ISIS and Israel, including Israeli Defense Forces supplying ISIS with unmarked crates and offering medical treatment to wounded fighters [12] [13]. An Israeli officer spoke out in opposition to the U.S. war against ISIS, claiming that in fighting ISIS the U.S. is strengthening what Israel perceives as the real threat, the Shiite alliance of Hezbollah and Iran [14]."

The arrows form a cross.  The sword comes from below piercin the cross.  The wooden shoe in direct center of the cross.

Sword from below peircing a cross.  The motto;  Master the Human Domain.  Who is the master of the human domain?  Hint: Who is the master of the spiritual domain?

Center of the cross there is a wooden shoe.  The jews were made to wear wooden shoes in internment camps of WWII.

Food for thought..

The Jade Helm command wouldn't lie to Americans.

Any more than General Clapper, Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, or the Kenyan would lie to Americans.

Let's set the record straight.  He's not Kenyan.  When he was born in British Protectorate Kenya in 1961, all newborns to Kenyan citizens became British citizens.  Of course, he had to give up British citizenship to attend schools in Indonesia, at which time he became an Indonesion citizen.  He never qualified for US citizenship (regardless of where he was born) and never attempted to become a US citizen after leaving Indonesia.  So, let's at least attribute his correct citizenship when he goes before the court for High Treason.

I'd bet a DNA test would show that Frank Marshall, Commie organizer and part time pornographer was his daddy.

Frankie was a US citizen, so Bunghole is too. Grampy Dunham was CIA. This makes the fake BC & SS card a snap, not to mention getting into Harvard.

What is the military jargon for “Jade Helm” and what is the US military operation all about? Well, “Jade” is the China model and “Helm” is their successful method of disarming and subduing their citizens.

We know the Washington Empire of Debt and Chaos, the Communist Chinese and the United Nations agenda item of gun confiscation. That is their goal, to disarm the citizens so that they can’t resist their armed forces. The planned economic collapse will happen in the next few months and the military will be in place for full military Martial Law and gun confiscation; the NSA has the list of gun owners. After the confiscation period, possessing a fire arm may carry a death sentence.

For what purpose is the US military (not National Guard) practicing as part of the National Security Strategy ( not foreign) infiltrating and invading the 7 Western States at the same time as the economic collapse of the bankster American Empire of Debt and Fraud is happening? The puppet military and Pentagon will not say; it’s a secret.

Who are they going to infiltrate undercover? The club bars of the American Legion, VFW, Eagles, Elks, and Moose Lodges?

Who are they going to have shootouts with, the American Citizen, Bundy Bunch, Mormons, Sovereign Citizens, NRA, militia, local police or the County Sheriff Departments?

WARNING!! Operation “Jade Helm” will be conducted by 1,200 elite killer forces of the US military plus the NSA, BLM, CIA, FBI, DIA and other federal agencies in Arizona, Utah, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, California and Nevada from July 15 to September 15.
