One Man's Message To Americans - "Start Giving A Damn!"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Thad Beversdorf via FirstRebuttal.com,

I find it shocking how often I have people tell me the Constitution is out of date and is no longer relevant or necessary.  Then there are the vast majority of people that think about the Constitution the same way they think about religion; it makes us feel good to believe in it and we’ll even worship it on a holiday or two   The reality is that those who seem to get very worked up to the point that they are willing to act in defense of the Constitution even against the highest levels of government make up a very small minority of Americans.  This is a real problem.

You see if people gave a damn the government couldn’t get away with negating the Constitution.  But the vast majority of people just don’t give a damn and so the government very easily provides ridiculous and false legal sounding arguments to explain away why they have become a higher law than the Constitution. Now I’ve tried to understand why it is that we Americans are so damn apathetic about everything the government and government officials do.

Let me give a couple examples for which our apathy just boggles my mind.   We know they took us into wars on false pretenses resulting in the wrongful deaths of thousands of American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and yet we’ve prosecuted no one.  Hell they’ve admitted to hacking into millions of our home webcams and downloading videos and pictures of us in our most private moments and maintaining those downloads on government servers and then sharing these files with foreign governments.

But because today’s American is simply a shell of a citizen none of the criminal atrocities creates even a stir from us.  Sure we all read about these atrocities and we are angered in the moment but it passes rather quickly and we fall back into our self induced ignorant bliss.  Only two things can get Americans to formidably rise up.  The first is a very direct and immediate impediment to our comfort.  For example try cutting back on the monthly social welfare checks.  You’ll have riots.   The second way is if the mainstream media relentlessly instructs us to be upset about a particular issue.  Outside of that there is absolutely nothing the new American won’t move past like water off a duck’s back.

What we’re finding out is that, and it sounds slightly over-dramatic but isn’t at all, unless we are willing to fight and die to win back the freedom our forefather’s fought and died to secure for us and all future generations we will continue to feel our chains grow heavier and shorter.  The simple reason is because our government is very much willing to kill to keep its ever encroaching control.  A free population is the antithesis to a political class.  And make no mistake the American federal government is the largest and most powerful group of aristocrats the world has known.

This group of traitors (and I mean that in the very technical sense of the word) not only behave according to a separate set of laws they have actually gone so far as to legislate a separate set of laws.  This in itself is a direct breach of the very Constitution they swear to defend.  Their intent is clear and that my friends is treason.  They are directly negating the very basis of the American concept for their own personal self interest and they are doing so by defrauding American citizens into believing their intent is to represent the will of their constituents.  Treason, Treason, Treason!  What else would you call it?

Now are you ready to fight and die to win the freedoms back for your children and grandchildren?  Hell No!  No, not at all!  And that’s kinda the problem because again the government is willing to kill to ensure your kids and grandkids don’t have the freedoms Americans were guaranteed.  The fuck of it is Americans have become so damn brainwashed that despite the founding fathers telling us explicitly our government would end up enslaving the rest of us to solidify their own power and wealth we ignore it. These were the guys that figured out the British were effectively enslaving us and decided to rise against it and create the greatest damn nation the world has ever known.  They literally created fucking America!!!  I mean holy shit, imagine having that on your CV.  And we pay them no mind, like they’re bat shit crazy and not relevant in our intellectual new world.

Today’s legislators rarely discuss the founding fathers or the Constitution beyond the very thin idea that they know we expect them to defend it.  That is, like freedom and apple pie, they love it during the campaign cycle.  However, ask them why then they continue to legislate against the Constitution and well they don’t want to talk about the Constitution anymore.  And we the people ,like apathetic morons , buy into the bullshit they feed us because we simply don’t care.  It’s to the point they can pretty much do anything knowing they can bullshit us with any damn nonsense that pops into their swollen heads.  And so they do things like hack into our webcams, take nude pictures of us and send them to foreign governments and tell us it’s for our own good.  We don’t give a shit because 1. it doesn’t impede our immediate comfort and 2. the press isn’t telling us it’s something to be concerned about.

The danger of being apathetic until it impacts our immediate day to day is that we allow the government to take away all the freedoms we are not currently using.  What I mean by that is we so far have not had to face what it means to be powerless and in chains.  But only because we haven’t yet ventured out far enough so as to reach the end of our chains.  Like a sleeping dog that isn’t aware he’s been shackled until he wakes and tries to chase a bird, we are asleep and unaware of the shackles placed around our ankles.

Some will say “wait, it isn’t apathy it is a trade off between safety and freedom”.  But the truth is freedom and safety are not conflictual we’ve only been led to believe so.  Fear has replaced freedom here in America and that is not by chance but by strategy of a government that has its own agenda, separate from its oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.  So while we should have prosecuted these recent governments for treason we’ve instead rewarded them the rights of dictatorship.

The Constitution is our freedom keeper but once the Constitution is made subordinate the precedent is set and in our legal system precedence is king.  The strength in the Constitution is just that, it’s strength.  Once we allow an exception to the Constitution’s superseding authority it no longer has any authority.  Unfortunately that exception has already been made.  With it, the destruction of the Constitution and the end to a guaranty of freedom.  Our corrupt government has created ‘legislation’ providing them a legal basis to imprison us without due process.  This is a fact.

This desecrates one of the most important axioms of America, in fact, due process is the very idea we are sold to spend $1 trillion per year fighting multiple simultaneous major theatre wars.  Yet here at home it no longer exists.  But remember our loss of due process is for our own good.  Giving a federal legislator or policy maker absolute discretion over our fate is in our best interest.  You and I have agreed with these propositions.  And you and I will have to adhere to being placed in prison for life if that is the will of our president or any delegate who will benefit by accusing us of being a national security threat.

Just by the fact the threat exists fulfills its objective.  People will not want to bring attention to themselves and thus will avoid protesting the wants of those who now have the authority to impede their freedom.  That in itself impede’s their freedom.  This is the one thing I really wish people could see.  What seem like issues too narrow or small to get worked up over are just marks of the snake bite.  Two very small holes in the skin but those holes are the gateway for the real killing agent to spread and overtake the whole system.

In March alone our beefed up and militarized public service workers killed more than 180 citizens they were meant to serve and protect on American soil.  That makes them an infinitely higher risk to our safety than the foreign terrorists to whom we’ve handed our Constitution.  That’s exactly what we’ve done.  If you listen to the terrorists’ videos that was their goal.  They wanted to end the freedom and free will that America seems to be jamming down the throats of societies around the world.  And so they won the moment Americans accepted to trade away its freedoms for safety.  That was their goal and they have achieved it.

Let’s look at Edward Snowden’s situation to see how one loses one’s freedom.  Snowden is a man that knowingly sacrificed his own freedom to expose the corruption and criminality of our policy makers and their respective agencies.  He is also a citizen that has been deemed a threat to national security.  Why would a man who exposed the criminal enslavement of Americans and citizens around the world be deemed a terrorist rather than a hero??  Because he is a threat to the power and control and really the entire system of those who can now legally classify him as a threat, removing his right to due process.

In effect, these political criminals can now legally lock away any prosecutor at will.   This is a gross conflict of interest and the hero that exposed this conflict of interest is now a victim of it.  Edward Snowden not only informed America, he recognized that he would be the first example so that Americans would see, first hand, the sort of corruption that has infected our system.  I can only infer he made himself known because he believed seeing it actually happen would get Americans to rise up and correct the moral transgression.  And what did we the people do in response to Snowden’s incredibly brave and patriotic action?  Absolutely nothing!!!  We force this hero to live in exile.  We don’t even demand the corruption to stop.  We do nothing.  How very American of us.  And why do we do nothing?  Because it doesn’t impede our immediate comfort and the media hasn’t told us we need to be concerned about the issue.

The lives of Americans have become so easy and so secure that we no longer recognize living in a utopia of freedom comes not with costs but with obligations.  We seem to believe that paying taxes indemnifies us of our real obligations as citizens who have been handed a beautiful gift and who are responsible for passing on that precious gift to future generations of Americans.   And that is a mistake that will have historians writing of us as we write of Eve in the garden of Eden.  Our lack of principles resulting in the suffering of all future generations having destroyed a gift we obviously didn’t deserve.

Here is the problem: people are pissed, they are angry and ready for change, but  TPTB have brilliantly executed their Divide and Conquer strategy. They have dumbed down most of the population with pathetic education, political correctness, and government control of education at all levels , the destruction of the nuclear family unit (especially disrespect for fathers), destroyed the other two essential elements of society -religion and homogeneity of the popultation, and total control of the mainstream media - In doing so they are able to divert anger, frustration and dissatisfaction away from the elites, to various groups of the dissatisfied towards each other. It will continue working until the various diverse elements among the dissatisfied realize who the true enemy is. We must unite, or we will allow TPTB to win their war by having us all fight and destroy ourselves until a beaten down and bloodied people beg the elites to reign over us as our Masters  - then we will truly be slaves and the elites will lead most of the sheep to their slaughter.

One man's union is another man's divisive tool.

As long as you insist upon being in a herd, you will face eventual slaughter. Only voluntary cooperation amongst individuals can undo what has been wraught, and as we all see too clearly, that day is a loooooooong way off.

What about the group of people thousands of miles away that all cooperate enough, once they end up with others of their kind, to nuke all others out of existence, then end up turning on eachother by nature?

Not to skip to a repetitive and small portion of a much more complicated and complete message... however, as many people on ZH often point out:

Individual cooperation as a method requires all individuals intend to cooperate with all others; some people just don't.

Part of the problem with the 'elites', to the extent they do even exist, is that they know they know that one thing, and while correct in the nature of the problem, they mistakenly reach for the wrong implementation methods.

The alternitive would be something weird, like spiritual influences fighting love that is patient, kind, gentle, self controlled, never failing and has to envove vengence eventually on all those, even well intentioned, that fall to the wrong methods; or something crazy like that.

Anyway, just trying to get the word out.

Mr. Thad Beversdorf: Our Country lacks leadership in those who would defend the Constitution. Feel free to step out front and lead anytime you feel it's important enough to put your life on the line. Your assesment is right but the timing of what is to come is unknown. Are you waiting for someone else to lead? Tens of thousands of other people are waiting for the same thing. Best of luck.

Agreed. I personally "give a fuck". So much so it has cost me friends, jobs, and personal freedom (jail time).

Google the Scholls (Sophie & Hans) to see what poor timing gets you.

In that light I won't be so hard on the Beversdorfs of the world who haven't taken the martyr road which is ultimately pointless. The current regime has no compunction eliminating ANYONE who is deemed a threat and the current state of the public is that everything is A OK because anyone with any sort of uncommon thinking is branded a radical. Cause we all know those pesky radicals are dangerous.

You know like, Jesus. MLK.

Wait, what?

For all his bloviating about how the Constitution is some near perfect charter, he fails to consider that either 1) the Constitution was powerless to stop what has happened since it's ratification or 2) the Constitution was written in such a manner as to allow for what has happened since it's ratification. Either way, it's not working.

Regardless, these "I'm mad as hell and am not gonna take it anymore!" posts always impolore the reader to get mad and rise up FIRST. If the author believed what he was writing, why isn't HE out there taking action? Unless the proposal involves the author leading from the front, these posts are just angry circle jerks.

The Constitution was nullified a long time ago and it does not matter what form of government exists; they all have the same thing in common...they are operated by sinners, to sinners and for sinners.  The problem is our nature; it is a sinful and rebellious nature; it is why we have wars, murders, thefts etc even though we are all related and there are more than enough resources for all to have food, shelter, clothing and medical care.  But man doesn't comprehend his fallen nature or the problem with sin, but the good news is there is a cure and it costs nothing.

Perhaps the writer of the article should get the Webster dictionary out and look up the word "Freedom" and compare that to the words "slaves", "slavery" or "enslaved" and to his surprise he will find he, nor anyone else, has true "Freedom", only limited choices (i.e. the term "liberty") and, in fact, we are all enslaved since birth.

----------------------------------------------

We are enslaved to "selfishness", the "world" and/or "Satan" OR slaves of our Creator, who is God, who is Christ.  When Christ said "if the Son sets you free, then you are truly free"; that would be free from the penalty of sin, which is eternal condemnation.  Eternal is the state which is absent of time, which is a created thing.

--------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, we are dominated by one of two spirits, the "spirit of hate" or the "spirit of love"; the former belong to the family of Satan and the latter to the family of God....there are no other families.  Most are dominated by hatred as is demonstrated by the comments, for out of the mouth speaks the heart and out of the heart reflects the character and nature of a person as shown by their own words, deeds and motives; what are yours?

Great post. Really great post.

I am hoping we could aree on one thing..

A "spirit of hate" replaced by a "spirit of not-love" in your post, which is different than 'hate', as anyone in a loving relationship can testify to when things have been bad, whether they were eventually reconciled on the subject that aparently generated the hate in the relationship, or not.

Additionally, of course, Christ said if we can't hate [the deserving of hate] we are not worthy of Him. We are also told our struggle is against not flesh and blood, but powers and principalities from 'the heavenly realms' - so spiritual, but not with God in Heaven as  Heaven is God's eternal home. Also, since we cannot judge another, that is say whether they are going to Heaven or not, we should then be caught hating spiritual influences found in those around us by their expression of any such power or spiritual beings with its origin from any of those spiritual realms which are not Heaven.

I am hoping we can agree, that in this way we can avoid hating those people in their flesh and blood around us, as they may just be under those influences for a time; while keeping in mind that in-animate chemicals (even those that weaken spiritual defenses or boundries) are not influences themselves, but stones that require an intention to throw them at someone.

1) The people are powerless subjects.

2) The "Constitution" is the problem, it acheived the Founding Fuckups goal of a United State that rules from the top down.

3) It is impossible in a multi racial society for the subjects to unify other than for their own group  interest.

4) The people have acquiesed in allowing Judges to declare what the Constitution means.

5) A true nations quality comes from its stock and not a piece of scrap paper.

6) White apathy is here to stay untill they die out. More agressive  groups will replace them and create a new system.

Only through a rational understanding of Natural Law , and then the moral choice of adhering to it, will freedom ever return. Violation of Natural Law is the definition of crime - not what some crazy baldhead scribbles on paper. Living in this low state is the punishment for our aggregate immorality, and there will be more to come.

I too believe God doesn't judge corporately, but by individual as to who goes to Heaven and who does not, as well as to reward in Heaven. I would put problems in the world square at the feet of Satan and Lucifers' methods, however we all get to choose who's methods we use once we are aware of the differences.

As the maker of Natural Law, which I would be willing to define as all which remains after Jesus the Christ fulfilled the rest of God's law and would also be willing to include things on how we should behave between one another as well as how creation functions, at least for sake of this arguement and as long as we were willing to agree to that, also only to the extent to which creation doesn't fuction on faith and love and the like, but instead functions logically and so could be enumerated.

I'm not positive, but this might cross the line into "religion", as we are now not in a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus the Christ, but instead writting things down and hashing them out. ;)

Let's hope he was right, because the only other alternative is nuclear holocaust.

(next time don't link to content from 2004, especially in the fields of anthropology/archaeology)

Sequencing DNA from the 12,600-year-old skeleton of an infant found in central Montana, scientists have confirmed that early Native Americans descended from ancient Asians, not from Western Europeans, according to a study published in Naturetoday (February 12). This work, led by ancient DNA expert Eske Willerslev of the University of Copenhagen and his colleagues, marked the first ancient North American genome to have been fully sequenced.

The male infant, “Anzick-1,” who was thought to have been between 12 to 18 months old when he died, was excavated in 1968 from a burial site. His skeleton is the oldest known specimen unearthed in North America belonging to the Clovis people, who populated the continent between 13,000 and 12,600 years ago. The boy was buried alongside 125 ancient artifacts including, antler tools.

Tool remains from the Clovis culture form the most widespread archaeological complex throughout North America. But genetic samples of ancient Americans more than 5,000 years old are rare, making it difficult for scientists to piece together the migration patterns of ancient humans in the New World. For the present study, Willerslev’s team has shown that the infant shared about one-third of his genome with ancient people from Malta in Siberia, who also provided genes to people of present day Western Eurasia. The rest of Anzick-1’s DNA seems to have come from ancient East Asian people.

“This study provides direct evidence that modern Native Americas are directly descended from populations coming from eastern Asia, probably no more than a few thousand years before Clovis,” said archaeologist David Anderson from the University of Tennessee, who was not involved in the work.

I read through the entire article hoping to see the list of action items that would lead us back to a constitutional republic ... alas not one.

I care about the Constitution and the self evident rights therein. Most likely if you asked people, they too would say they are in favor of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and not death, confinement and everlasting sadness.

Unfortunately we have elected (and some unelected) mountains of people who have sworn an oath to defend and protect the constitution and ya know what? They lied. Every day Congress creates, debates and passes unconstitutional laws. Every day the thing that usurped the presidency signs unconstitutional executive actions. The supreme court, which, even if a test of the constitution comes to them (which is rare), most commonly does what is easiest for them.

Even setting aside morals and ethics, everyone seem to have forgotten that there is this thing called an amendment process and if you want to change the Constitution "for" the United States, which are the actual rules we should be living under, they must have an amendment to the constitution ratified by the states. The so called law makers just make whatever law they want, knowing it will never be seriously challenged.

OK, so what are the action items? I care. What will change the useless and lawless lawmakers and make them actually adhere to their oaths?

Protests have been pretty much useless... they laugh. Violence, civil war, revolt is the answer for them, not us, the people. They want us to revolt. They want conflict. No way Jose!

Sorry Thad, you're wrong.

A great many people give a damn, and have expressed as much, but it's done no good. The problem is the people in the power, who just don't care.

obedience to the unenforceable

http://nypost.com/2015/03/14/defending-the-indefensible-hillary-clinton/

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The test requires “obedience to the unenforceable,” a phrase my friend Daniel Rose suggests amounts to “doing the right thing.” Rose, a New York builder and philanthropist, uses the phrase in a collection of essays and speeches he has published.

Coined by an English judge nearly a century ago, the phrase was summarized by the late educator John Silber as the “domain” that exists between law and free choice.

Nobody can force you to obey manners — you should do it without being forced. But proper behavior and the Clintons are oil and water. These are the people who tried to steal furniture from the White House!

To them, the concept of “obedience to the unenforceable” must seem as alien as little green men from Mars. They recognize no constraint on themselves other than the outer limits of what’s legal, and sometimes not even that.

They have spent a lifetime parsing words, splitting hairs and cutting corners in pursuit of power. In their world, any behavior not indictable is acceptable.

Their success has come at a cost to the country. Their ability to walk away from multiple collisions with the law, ranging from her suspect profits on cattle futures to his impeachment case, had a corrosive impact on public morals.

Once you realize that there are no instant fixes, the best most of us can do is follow these thoughts in pelections; (1) Always vote in primary elections; (2) Never vote for an incumbent (2) Vote for the best candidate you can find that's is the least financed; Then repeat.  This is the fastest way to get a majority of sociopaths out of government without violence.  Baltimore-type activities only burn down your local pharmacy.

I agree with you in principle

BUT

the constitution HAS been made irrelevant by congress and courts, AND a majority of the people not just letting them do it,

BUT WANTING them to do it !

that IS a reality, unfortunately

that is the major problem with proletariat democracy = proletariat dictatorship

The Constitution was written and supported by the political and cultural elite of the time.  Many of the Framers were slaveowners and vampire squids.  It should surprise no one that the Constitution is working for the exact same folks today.

What can be done?  Probably not much.  Any achievable political reform won't be radical enough.  Radical political reform is unachievable without a terrible collapse.  Revolutions replace one corrupt ruling elite with another.

How can the solution to this sorry matrix possibly lie with the citizens "giving a damn" and demanding better governance from the pathetic puppets we used to call public servants?  Indeed, 'giving a damn' can be completely couterproductive if one has no real idea of the problem. Very curious as to where my fellow zero hedger's stand on this.  Please down/upvote accordingly : Is Thad right, all we need to do is really give a damn and demand our 'lawmakers' adhere to constitutional principles or no, only by opting out in every possible conceivable way and starving the beast by refusing to participate?  Ummmm, down vote is Thad is right, ok?

I attend a conservative (yes, Republican oriented) meeting every two weeks at which we have a variety of interesting speakers, including Congressmen and state representatives.  I make it a point at every such meeting to get in a question regarding their position on a state run Article V Convention at which the state legislatures could modify, or even terminate the Federal government by amending the Constitution (with no input from Congress).  Some of these "representatives of the people" are totally clueless when asked the question but at least they are primed as the movement toward an Article V gains momentum.

As a backup, I also try to meet my obligations as a citizen by training with  militia (yes, that is almost all of us in Ohio as dictated by Article 9 of our Sovereign State Constitution) so that if the Feds should go rogue and refuse to honor the results of an Article V, there will be many folks trained to "terminate with extreme prejudice" when called by the Governor.  Same as it has always been, it usually falls to the 3% to do what needs to be done to set things straight.  The rest will maintain their apathy and accept the outcome like good sheep.

Hitler learned from American eugenicists that fluoride makes people docile and apathetic.  In fact toxic sick people are easy to manage because they are injured.

Toxic injury from fluoridated water, vaccines, and GMOs to name a few, produce a helpless, dependent, weak public that displays a blind loyalty to the Establishment.

Poisoning people creates sheeple and our hidden Jesuit, Masonic and Zionist rulers know this.  It's a program of handicapping and capturing the public through an emotional dependence and search for a safe haven to heal from toxic injury that drives this blind capture and loyalty.

Once the public has lost all capability to resist our hidden rulers, they have then been indoctrinated by the complete control of education, history, media and movies.  The sheeple will have to die off before any reform is possible.

They will continue insisting on Big Government to save them.  The healthy, detoxified, independent, highly capable survivors will build a new, low cost, efficient, globally competitive, Ideal Anarchy using guns, shame and private contracts to manage their affairs completely without coercive government and with genuine gold-backed money.

Agree with you on the constitution, nothing else. Fuck bush and Romney. They are part of the elite that shredded our rights. The constitution let them. It needs to be iron clad. The pernicious and persistent erosion of this document by the bankers and industrialists was simply too strong a force to counter. No one saw that coming. Jefferson's words about watering the tree of liberty are laughable. The founders could imagine liberties being stolen, but not the gradual erosion and blunting of society to the point where it was incapable of violent action against the government. You see, they were able to create a new and unforeseen form of government because they had just destroyed the previous one. That's how constitutions get written anew - after violence. It's not something that's done over tea. But the once powerful and daily relevance of survival and liberty in the aftermath of a destruction is no longer with us. The constitution of the founders days is long gone and irrelevant for today. Whatever replaces it will come after some on this board are dead.

Speaking of coffee  ...

http://narrative.ly/shorts/tontine-coffee-house/

"When a new ship arrived in New York Harbor, the captain would first come to the Tontine (coffee house) to register his cargo. This unfortunately included enslaved Africans. During this time the slave trade was a large part of the New York City trading business and residents here made huge profits from the suffering of others. The practice continued even after all slaves were officially freed in New York on July 4th, 1827.

The trading at the Tontine continued until 1817, when the stockbrokers drafted a new constitution, renaming the organization “The New York Stock & Exchange,” and moved over to 40 Wall Street."

The foundation was rotten, how can we expect the edifice to hold?

Outrage is neither a strategy nor a tactic.

The author seems to think that being violently angry and confrontational about it in mass will accomplish something positive.

It wont.

The social organization supporting the Constitution must precede action or matters will be even worse.

Moreover, with enough such organization there wont be much need for violence in exactly the same way that had Constitutional Militia's been retained, and every member required to arm themselves, no disarmament would be possible or attempted.

The move, then, to socially organize to support the Constitution is not, then, a sideshow of empty words preventing real action...it is the action.  When achieved, no violence will be necessary - so long as care is given to ensure that no reciprocal violence would be profitable to the other side.

1)  Step One: Form Constitutional Militias so that an unprincipled politician can't simply use armed force to compel compliance.  The National Guard is one - a formal one.  You need an informal militia that is less conventional military in nature- an irregular militia.  It should be governed locally.  It should be formed at the smallest local government level possible.  It must be trained regularly, and there must be a disciplinary code to constrain bad behavior or it will degenerate into a band of armed thugs.  It must be armed at its own expense.  Many States have articles in their constitutions for this.  All the States need this.  There are plenty of useful things for it to do, such as disaster response, neighborhood watch, etc.   In most such militia's it is the 'discipline' that is missing.  You have to develop the procedures for call-up, training, community outreach, etc.  This cannot be a counter culture thing to fight city hall.  It needs to be a means for City Hall to resist higher levels of government who are exceeding their authority, and a means for local governance in all cases generally, from floods and tornados, to riots, to drug gangs.  Be supportive.  Be helpful to communities.  Be local.  Be legal.  Be Disciplined.

2) Step Two: Constitutional Government Support Organizations.  Teach the Constitution and the non-aggression principal behind it in the same way religions have been taught.  Weekly meetings, missionaries, financial support for the misfortunate.  People remember who gave them a helping hand when they were in trouble.  Think Tea Party run like a church.

3)  Constitutional money.  Organize. Promote it. Explain it. Explain why it was required.  Explain the fate of 'The Continental'.  Explain who benefited from 'The Continental'.  Explain the workings of Fractional Reserve Banks and the Fractional Federal Reserve.  Explain that maintaining bank deposits in such organizations is what makes the structured fleecing of America and the world possible.  Recommend people jump in and expand what the Von Mises Institute is doing.

4) Non-Fractional Reserve Banks.  Organization is expensive.  If you use the Communist Federal Reserve Banking system to fund it, you will be empowering your opposition at a 14 (them): 1 (you) ratio.    Think decentralized like bitcoin...but use constitutionally mandated money.  There have been others that tried.  There is a reason why they are so quick to jump on this, and aggressively prosecute all attempts.  It is the Center of Gravity of TPTB.  Win this one and you are more than half way there.  Think 'Gold Coin' or 'Silver Coin'... because you can't claim to be a supporter of the Constitution while advocating anything else.

Notice, I never said 'hang them' nor advocated violence or illegality in any way....because if you do this right, no domestic violence will be needed.  The only violence will be openly criminal activity trying to keep the con alive, or foreign governmental activity for the same purpose.   And if it comes to foreign governments...then that will be a war.   But as bad as a war with a foreign power may be, it is better than a real Civil War.

Vocal anger and outrage is optional, but not particularly persuasive.

Forgot a couple of points:

5) Work to repeal the cartelization of medical schools under the AMA as a consequence of the Flexner Report...There is more than one way to work health. Cartelization has lead to the conflation of HEALTH INSURANCE (premium payment to offset an UNCERTAIN RISK) and HEALTH CARE (payment to care provider to receive the benefit of their expertise.  Ultimately the measure of a school of medicine's worth is in the satisfaction of its customers.

6) Form alternative bar associations and aggressively attack the ABA's cartelization of the legal profession and monopoly on law school accreditation.  This is elitism at its worst.  For this to work, you'll have to bring back real Grand Juries, and explicitly teach jury nullification or the ABA-monopoly educated court will simply run over alternatives as invalid...making the Monopoly ABA opnion into the only Legal opinion.  This must be defeated.

ALSO:  A note on number 4.

Fiat currency stands on two legs:  1) Legal Tender Laws and 2) The lack of a viable alternative.

Here's how to fix that:

1) Work to have the statutory Gold Price revalued periodically at the prevailing market price.  As the debt crisis will be expanding anyway, you might as well have a better accounting of the Nation's real reserves.  It will also give the nation more collateral as the price rises, giving regulators less reason to look the other way when encountering price-suppression schemes.

2) Audit US Gold Holdings A. REAL. INDEPENDENT. AUDIT.    Make it explicitly clear that you expect for much of the physical to have been loaned out for a fee.  Explicitly and proactively allow them to account the leased Gold as actual so long as the relative amounts (leased vs physical) are known.  Unpopular as it may be, if you don't give them an out. You'll have war long before you get an independent audit.

3) Repeal Legal Tender.  Let people use whatever currency buyer and seller agree upon - even privately issued currency.

The vast majority of humans are too lazy, too stupid, too trivial, too insane, too shallow and too brainwashed to be free.  I'm sure the predators-that-be repeat this to each other gleefully during their get-togethers.  Unfortunately, they are correct.

Never have human societies become more free.  The one arguable exception might be a few cases for a short time after the predators-that-be have caused total collapse or catastrophe.  Otherwise, just doesn't happen.

And yet, a large and fairly energetic "liberty movement" does what?  They waste their time trying what has never worked once in history, and what has virtually zero chance of working even in extreme optimistic cases.

What they attempt is... "collectivist individualism" (where "individualism" just means "individual liberty").  But "collectivist individualism" is not only a self-contradiction, but a violation of the liberty movement's fundamental principle, namely "voluntary interaction".

What do I mean?  I mean, the approach adopted by the vast majority of people in the "liberty movement" (whether they consider themselves part of a "movement" or not) is "vote the bums out, and vote liberty candidates in".

That is a pure collectivist approach, and accepts premises that are utterly at odds with individualism and liberty.  For example, that implies "it is okay to enslave us until the majority vote liberty candidates into office, who then do what they promised in their campaigns rather than being bribed-off like virtually every other politician".

This is an utterly collectivist approach... to say "we need to change a majority of the entire collective to agree with individual liberty, and until we do, we must remain slaves".  That's just insane!  That's just utterly contrary to individualism and liberty.  That's just a pure collectivist approach (form a bigger gang).  That's collectivist individualism, which is just about as Orwellian as any of the many other wacko self-contradictory Orwellian phrases.

I repeat... this approach has never worked.  Not once in history.  Not ever.

Does anyone know what true individualists and true liberty-lovers have done across history?  I'm sure a few do.

They leave.  The best, bravest and brightest get the hell outta dodge and move to whatever part of the world is a true or relative frontier at that time.  They set up their lives, and then they... live.  In other words, they practice individualism and they practice liberty.  They don't talk about it... they make little attempt to convince the entire collective to become anarchists or individualists or liberty-advocates.  They go live it.

To be sure, earth has just about run out of true, pure frontiers, and some liberty-types give this as an excuse for their inaction.  But perfection has never existed, and so the excuse rings hollow.  But not hollow enough, because a great many buy this nonsensical excuse.  Why?  Because today, the vast majority of supposed individualists and liberty-advocates assume collectivist approaches are fundamental... and essentially the only possible approaches.

That's wrong!  If you're truly an individualist... then forget the rest of the freaking world, look at the world, research the world, explore the world, and then move your butt to the best spot for you --- the place with the best combination of potential to enjoy individual liberty, plus physical and environmental characteristics you personally enjoy.

A great many places on the planet offer vastly greater potential for enjoyment of individual liberty than any of the major western fictitious "nations".  And if you move to somewhere rural (if not the outright boonies), you can also take advantage of the well-know and valid adage: "out of sight, out of mind".  Plus, simply living where you are not considered a "citizen" AKA "slave" brings an automatic but substantial boost in individual liberty.

-----

I get tired of the whole "rah, rah, constitution, rah, rah, rah" bit.  Be thoughtful and honest for a change!  The founding fathers were tyrants!  And the constitution inherently destroyed the prospect for individualism and liberty in the americas.

Am I crazy or am I serious?  I'm totally serious.  But you need to be honest with yourself, consider what you already know, and identify what are the facts.

The fact is, the americas were essentially "perfect liberty" before the westerners from Europe invaded and destroyed the place by instituting tyranny by means of "the constitution" and "the nation" call the "united states of america" (as well as the individual "states" before then).

A great many of you may thing what I'm saying is completely insane... on the face of it.  Okay, but before you close your mind entirely, withhold judgement for a few minutes and consider the following undisputed evidence and facts.

First, every individualist and liberty-advocate knows this.  Neither "individualism" or "liberty" means "you can do anything you want, anywhere you want".  No, you cannot go into a neighbors barn, kill his cows, roast them for dinner, and ride away with his horses and daughters in tow.  No individualist or liberty-advocate would say this is acceptable.

When you are in another individuals home, you comply with their "house rules"... or you leave.  This does NOT violate your individualism or your individual liberty.  Why?  Because his "house rules" only apply in his house and within the bounds of his ranch or farm... and you are free to leave at any time you wish.

If you want to work on a farm or ranch or manufacturing facility owned by another individual... you must comply with their "house rules".  If they let you live on their farm or ranch or property while you work for them, you must follow their rules as long as you're within their property.  Every individualist and liberty-advocate agrees with this claim.

So "individualism" and "liberty" do not mean "no rules", they mean "no rulers".  Those phrases may sound similar, but they are radically different, in both theory and practice.  To "follow house rules" is simply to acknowledge individualism and liberty, to acknowledge that individuals who own property get to set their own terms upon that property.

But a ruler... well... that's totally different.  You can escape a "rule" simply by leaving the property of the owner.  But a ruler claims you must obey everything he says no matter where you go... even hundreds or thousands of miles away!  Such is the difference between individualism and authoritarianism.

In individual liberty, you can take a few steps and be free.

In every other scheme, you are a slave anywhere you go.

-----

Now, what was the state of affairs in the americas before the westerners brought their inherently tyrannical ideas?  Everyone knows!

If you live in indian tribe / settlement A, you follow their rules.  If you live in indian tribe / settlement B, you follow their rules.

But everywhere between indian tribes/settlements were "no mans land"... which means... perfect liberty and freedom.

Think about it.  That's what individualism and liberty mean.  If you don't like the rules in someones home, you leave.  And the moment you are beyond their last bed of turnips, you are free... you have your liberty and your individualism, and no rules other than "if you try to harm someone, hopefully they'll kill you dead"... and vice versa.

And that is precisely what existed in the americas before westerners brought THE notion that is 100% fatal to individualism and liberty.

And what is that fatal notion?  That there is no "no mans land".  That there is no "space between settlements".  That there is inherently NO place you can be free.

That is precisely what a "county" is.
That is precisely what a "state" is.
That is precisely what a "nation" is.

The fatal idea is... you cannot escape our rules, you cannot escape our control.  Because even where no man has invested the time, effort and resources to carve out a productive farm, ranch, homestead or manufacturing facility... even where nobody has touched the earth before... you are a slave, you are obligated to obey.

THAT is inherently collectivist, inherently authoritarian, inherently incompatible with any sane meaning of "individualism" or "liberty".

And THAT is what the westerners brought to the americas --- WHOLESALE SLAVERY.  The fundamental notion (and demand) that everyone is a slave, and everyone must obey.

This FATAL notion, that individuals are slaves no matter where they go in huge expanses of earth... is a fundamental asserting and claim of EVERY constitution, of EVERY founding document of every "county", "state" and "nation".

-----

And so, the facts are clear.

The founding fathers WERE tyrants.

The constitution is inherently collectivist and authoritarian.

And BOTH are utterly incompatible with individualism or liberty.

Which is why I am so tired of hearing people say "the constitution protects us", or "the constitution grants us rights (or recognizes our rights)".

BS.

For precisely the reasons I stated above, the founding fathers were tyrants.  Anyone who claims "everyone within hundreds or thousands of miles must obey our demands" IS a tyrant.  This is inherently and obviously true, whether those humans you call "the founding fathers" understood this clearly or not.

NO human can be absolved from claiming "everyone must obey our demands".

I don't care how much positive spin and PR they've been given over the centuries, what they did was tyranny and exterminated individualism and liberty.

-----

To be sure, they uttered some spiffy sounding phrases about liberty and such, and those phrases obviously sounded good enough, and sold well enough to masses of humans beaten down by much worse tyrants in Europe and elsewhere.  But they were tyrants nonetheless, and they destroyed individualism and liberty.

And those are simply the obvious, unavoidable facts.

-----

The valid defense of liberty is simple.  And that is, to point out that the following concepts are utterly bogus fictions: "law", "state", "nation", "official", "authority", "government".

There is literally no way to justify the concept "authority".  Every human being is the same species and the same kind of creature.  Every human being came to exist the same way (was born).  The mere symmetry of the relationship makes obvious to any sane individual that no way can possibly exist for human A to gain authority over human B, then for human B to gain authority over human A... namely no way.

And with this understanding, then entire edifice of "law", "state", "nation", "authority" and "government" are shown to be exactly the same as "Santa Claus", namely FICTION.  Namely "mental-units without external referents".

But just because mental-units are fictions, and don't have external referents, doesn't mean those mental-units have no motivation power on human beings.  Look at all the actions kids take based on the fictional mental-unit "Santa Claus".  Look at all the actions adults take based on the fictional mental-unit "law" or "state" or "nation" or "authority" or "government".

-----

STOP looking for authorities to justify individualism or liberty.  You don't need any, and none exist, and none every have, and none ever will.  Reject authority.  ALL authority.  Get real.  That's the only solution that works.  And yeah, shooting predators works, no matter the species.

Vote Harder: The Barack Obama Story | August 19th, 2013

In theater productions of Peter Pan, there’s a scene where Tinkerbell is dying. Peter exhorts the audience to clap their hands to save her. If everyone just claps harder and says “I believe in fairies!” Tink will be restored to life by the power of faith and love.

Progressive calls to defeat corporate power and the warfare-surveillance state through more enthusiastic engagement in electoral politics sound about equally plausible.

In 2008, progressives attempted to achieve these goals by voting for the most anti-war, anti-police state Democrat in decades. Obama entered the primaries as a challenger from Hillary Clinton’s left, packaging himself as the alternative to her national security establishmentarian brand. He opposed the Iraq war, promised to shut down Gitmo and denounced warrantless domestic wiretapping by the NSA.

In 2013, we see this “progressive” superstar, who all but promised to usher in a 21st century Church Committee, presiding over the massive expansion of illegal drone warfare around the world and the largest expansion of the surveillance state in history. We see this man, who promised the “most transparent administration in history,” pursuing vindictive reprisals — on a scale rivaling Woodrow Wilson or Richard Nixon — against whistleblowers who expose the surveillance state’s terrifying scope.

In short, progressives voted harder in 2008 than they had in decades, electing a man who promised to radically scale back the total warfare and surveillance state and rein in corporate power. And the man they elected went 180 degrees opposite every last expectation.

Worse, some of Obama’s most diehard “progressive” supporters have become a Kool-Aid cult defending him against any and all criticism of his reversals of position. These people, including both the “pragmatic progressive” communities on Twitter and in the blogosphere and most of the establishment liberals on MSNBC, denounce critics from Obama’s left as Republican dupes in tones reminiscent of the Democratic establishment’s treatment of Ralph Nader a decade ago. The very people who should be holding Obama’s feet to the fire instead react like Gollum to the desecration of their Precious.

So, to summarize:  1) The biggest grass-roots progressive effort in decades to elect an anti-war, anti-police state president successfully elected a man who immediately proceeded to do the direct opposite of what he promised; and 2) some of the people who elected him are the most strident defenders of his betrayals.

Do you really think voting even harder next time is the solution? No. All of this just shows what a monumental waste of effort and resources it is trying to capture the state.

The lobbyists of the military-industrial complex, security-industrial complex, and other corporate interests will always have more time and money for influencing policy than their opponents. The internal influence of the “permanent government” of the military and security bureaucracies will always have more influence on government policy than the public. Trying to outcompete these interests and stage a hostile takeover of the commanding heights of the state is as foolish as it would have been for Heinz Guderian to attempt a head-on assault on the Maginot Line in 1940.

Fortunately, we don’t have to storm the barricades and capture the giant corporations and the state. We don’t need them. We don’t need enormous concentrations of capital or giant hierarchical institutions for coordinating things. The prerequisites for building the kind of society we want — open-source garage micromanufacturing technology, permaculture, encrypted currencies, free software — are all dirt cheap and getting ever cheaper. The only thing the state and the corporations it serves can do is try to impede us.

Fortunately it’s much, much cheaper to develop technologies for evading the law and the state’s enforcement apparatus than it is to try to influence the state and change the law. Trying to get “a seat at the table” alongside the RIAA and MPAA to influence a few punctuation changes in the next global copyright treaty is an almost total waste of time. Developing file-sharing and encryption technologies to break such laws with impunity is not only doable — it’s already been done.

We don’t need to capture the state or the corporate economy. Leave them to rot. We’ll build the new society in their ruins.

Unfortunately, this is a war of education, propaganda and indoctrination and it was lost before most of us were born.  When you have the majority of the population going through an education system that indoctrinates them agaoinst the merits of our Constitutional Republic and in favor of total state control and then that same education system contains not one lick of training in critical thinking, how can the current results surprise us?  Those of us that can even have this conversation without immediately devolving into hate-filled diatribes that are thinly-veiled Red Team/Blue Team arguments are a small minority of the population.  Even if everyone reading this article completely agrees and follows its prescription, what good does it really do?

The system has already become so badly corrupted and controlled by moneyed or bribed (in some way, on the dole) interests, that most are unable or unwilling to make choices based on values anymore...its all about survival for the masses and that makes the overall landscape exceptionally dangerous for those of us that either A) Think or B) Have prepared for our future or C) Want to make changes.  All one has to do is look at any one of a dozen communities on the verge of breakdown to see what happens when things revert to mob rule...it ain't pretty!  And we're far closer than many of us may want to admit.

The first can be affected only by the government he calls for Americans to rise up against and the second too, he admits, will not happen. So nothing will happen that he wants. Not sure what the rest of the rant is for.

Hmmm....dunno Thad, you been sleeping under a rock the last 100 or so years?

You 'just' realized that Americans don't give a shit?

It didn't occur to you during the 'war of the states/northern agression"? That a state could NOT leave the union if it so chooses? If that had been on paper at the beginning there would have been no union.

It didn't occur to you when Lincoln first experimented with paper money during said war? A DIRECT violation of the constitution?

It dind't occur to you after said war that Congress did not immediately disband the federal army? A DIRECT violation of the constituion?

It didn't occur to you after the Federal Reserve act was passed on a Christmas eve with 80% of congress abcent? And Wilson signed it anyway? In DIRECT violation of the constituion?

It dind't occur to you when the USA got involved in a war in Europe using an illegal federal army? In DIRECT violation of the constitution?

It didn;'t occur to you that congress did not dispand the federal army after said war? In DIRECT violation of the constitution?

It dind't occur to you when Rosevelt nationalised Americans' gold in the first ever QE(all the save the flipping banks.....sound familiar)? In DIRECT violation of the constituion?

It didn't opccur to you when Rosevelt created the Social Security Ponzi? In DIRECT violation of the constitution?

I could keep going......

Where have you been Thad?

I once considered settling in the USA because the declaration of independance and the Constitution are two of the most brilliant works produced by man......the porblem is they are ignored by congress, the executive branch, the Supreme Court and all of America. When I had my epiphany and realized this, I was no longer interested in America....the America on those documents does not exist. Sorry.

Its a zoo Thad. Its a shock to wake up, isn't it.

Greetings Squid,

Only 1 quibble.  Please post reasons if you disagree.

My quibble is this:  The Federal government is not required to disband the Army under the Constitution, and never has been.

You'll find the word 'Army' once in the constitution in Article 2 Section 2, "The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States;"

It doesn't make sense for them to say that if they were also attempting to force it to disband.

You'll find the word 'Armies' once in the Constitution in Article 1 Section 8, where the powers of Congress are listed,  (Congress shall have power) "To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;)

So, no, all those times you said "illegal federal army" or "did not dispand the federal army after said war? In DIRECT violation of the constitution?" were simply wrong.

Pretty good with the rest though.

My purpose here isn't to be an ass, but to challenge you, who have accepted someone's assertions that there are constitutional federal limitations which are not there, and to challenge your ideological opposites, who accept the assertions from members of the legal cartel that there are no real constitutional limitations on federal power and/or who assert any number of judicial doctrines such as 'strict separation of church and state' that do not, in fact, appear anywhere in the document - to simply go check the document before making assertions.

I'd like to challenge everyone to realize that the document established by referendum of our forebearers - the highest standard of consensus - and should not be allowed to be subverted, altered, bypassed, or subsumed using a lower standard of consensus.

As I said, I'd like to challenge you, and everyone who reads this to quit assuming they know what the Constitution specifies, and simply devote a little time to studying it.

It is less than 20 pages long using standard fonts and typesets, shorter than many ZH articles.  There's simply no reason to accept others' opinions of what it says when it is literally shorter than a Federal Tax Return.

Isn't our society worth the few minutes that would take?

It is right here:

America is just a vapor on the march of history.  For eons men have lived lives of slavery or submission via kings or overlords.  Why are there no container ship containers loaded with people risking it all to make it to China's shores.  Why no one overloading ships to sail from Italy to Libya?  Why no rickety boats loading in Miami to try and make landing in Cuba?  Why no Americans flooding the southern border and flooding into Mexico or Central America.

To honest Ann and your Eutopia of "no man's land."  While it may well be true to venture into no man's land unprepared would risk life and limb.  Society and modern technology has so far removed most of the privelaged from true physical labor as to make them nothing more than pink blobs floating around demanding things of other "less fortunates."  I have read many of your posts.  I admire your clarity of thought and I believe I once read you have left the Matrix.  Congratulations.

My question to you is this.  If you left the matrix and use a bush plane to gather your provisions there is a good chance said plane was manufactured somewhere that private property laws were in place and enforced at some level.  Man is never truly free.  Life isn't free.  Our existence creates demand.  Input and extraction.  thankfully the earth yields its fruits in due season.  On the other end of the spectrum of removing one self from the matrix we find the EBT everything is "free" people.

very few people are willing to take the time and effort it takes to research what it would take to separate themselves from the matrix much less actually do it.  We butcher 3 or 4 beef cattle every February.  From kill to grind and freezer wrap.  This includes all the sights, sounds and smells required to butcher an animal and process it.  Most "civilized"  people think their meat comes from a super market.  Does that make them ignorant?  Maybe.  Does it make them less vaulable to society?  No.  Would they be willing to butcher and process a 1200 lb animal?  Some may,   some may not.  Some may rather wait and steal your frozen meat from you after  you do all the work.  That is what government has become.

Government of the people, by the people and for the people has departed this land decades if not more than a century ago.  No boundaries and no rules is anarchy.  Or, "freedom" as you choose to call it.  Words matter.  We form a society with general rules of behavior for the greater good.  At least on paper that is what America was supposed to be.  We have lost that.  Can we get it back?  Personally I don't think so.  Good day all.

Because no one (NO ONE) has a welfare state like the Europeons or the Merikans. Example:

Follow these easy, proven 13 steps to financial well-being...

1. Don't get married to her
2. Use your mom’s address to get mail sent to
3. Guy buys a house
4. Guy rents out house to his girlfriend who has two of his kids
5. Section 8 will pay $900 a month for a three-bedroom home
6. Girlfriend signs up for Obamacare so guy doesn't have to pay out the butt for family insurance
7. Girlfriend gets to go to college free for being a single mother
8. Girlfriend gets $600 a month for food stamps
9. Girlfriend gets free cellphone
10. Girlfriend gets free utilities
11. Guy moves into home but uses mom's house to get mail sent to
12. Girlfriend claims one kid and guy claims one kid on taxes… now you both get to claim head of household at $1,800 credit
13. Girlfriend gets disability for being "bipolar" or having a "bad back" at $1,800 a month and never has to work again

This plan is perfectly legal and is being executed now by millions of people.

A married couple with a stay-at-home mom yields $0.00 dollars.

An unmarried couple with stay-at-home mom nets:

$21,600 disability +
$10,800 free housing +
$6,000 free Obamacare +
$6,000 free food +
$4,800 free utilities +
$6,000 Pell grant money to spend +
$12,000 a year in college tuition free from Pell grant +
$8,800 tax benefit for being a single mother

equals a cool $75,000 in benefits.

To enjoy liberty and freedom is not at all the same thing as to be magically safe, or comfortable, or anything else.  I hope I never gave the impression liberty is somehow similar to being on welfare and getting free goods and goodies and an automatically comfortable life.  Because those ideas (and realities) are totally separate and totally independent.

One can live a life of liberty and be stupid or smart.

One can live a life of liberty and be comfortable or uncomfortable.

One can live a life of liberty and be at great risk or very little risk.

One can live a life of liberty and live in solitude or in a town or city.

One can live a life of liberty and live low-tech or high-tech.

One can live a life of liberty and be self-sufficient and/or trade.

-----

I don't know what notion you have of "liberty" or "freedom".  You are one of the endless humans who seem to have a completely misguided meaning of "liberty" and "freedom"... because you say "life is not free", "man cannot be free".  Me thinks you need to sit down someday and carefully figure out what "liberty" and "freedom" SHOULD mean.  While you're doing that, I suggest you don't be fooled by the soundbites human predators utter to confuse you, and make you accept your life of slavery as "inevitable"... because that's what you're doing.

How?  The moment you say "life is not free" or "man cannot be free", you totally lose your life to the tyrants.  More than that!  You totally lose any possibility of liberty or freedom, because you accepted that very notion, that very lie, that extremely twisted concept of "liberty" and "freedom" purposely crafted to scam you out of "liberty" and "freedom" by those human predators who want you to be their slave.

To begin with, you must recognize that most words have more than one meaning, and without a doubt, "free" is one of those words.  One of the meanings of "free" is "without cost".  But that concept is utterly unrelated to the meaning of "free" we are discussing here.

Frankly, it is much easier to make the argument that "every human is free", than "man cannot be free".  Why?  Because ALL claim of "authority" over you, me and everyone else is FICTION... an assertion without ANY BASIS WHATSOEVER.

And so, you, me and everyone else is "free" to ignore all claims of authority over you.  To be sure, the human predator who claimed they have "authority" over you might attempt to harm you if you do not obey.  So what?  That does not make you non-free.  What makes you non-free is... to bow to the will of those human predators and obey their demands.

In fact, if you were the only human beings on planet earth, we would have exactly the same problem you have today.  And that problem is... that on this planet a great number of predators roam, and they want to harm you, disable you, and suck you dry until you finally die.  Whether those predators are humans or panthers or bacteria matters little.

If you claim "a human alone on earth cannot be free... because predators roam the earth", then you have chosen an erroneous meaning for "liberty" and "freedom".  Or at very least, you need some other concept to mean what I mean by "liberty" and "freedom".

To be "free" does not mean "to be free of any need to hunt or gather or produce goods and goodies to keep you alive and make you comfortable and happy".  That's more like some psychotic substitute for a meaning created by some neo-liberal wacko selling welfare as a way of life.

-----

I can't straighten out your brain.  I don't have time.  But I admit, it takes a lot of work after being born into the over-the-top looney bin known as "the modern world", which is a massive burden we are all born with.  So I'll just take a quick pot shot at another of your formulations to attempt to show how "you fell into their trap again".

I refer to where you asked me a question, then implied "I cannot be free because a device I have (an airplane) was fabricated in an area where someone claims "private property laws" are in place.

The first thing you need to realize is... all so-called laws are pure fiction.  Which means, no laws actually exist.  That's what a fiction is... a mental-unit that refers-to nothing.  Oh, and be careful here.  When someone points at an apple and calls that apple "Santa Claus"... does not make "Santa Claus" exist, does not make "an apple Santa Claus", does not make "Santa Claus an apple", or any other permutation.

And so, when some human being declares "obey me"... and you say "why should I?"... and he replies "because that's the law"... there is no law.  There is only what there is... namely noise produced by his mouth.  And if he writes those noises down onto paper, then you have some ink smeared on paper.  What you don't have is... a "law".  Why?  Because nothing new popped into existence when he declared "you [and others] must obey what I now say".  No "presto-chango, abracadabra" happened.  Nothing happened... except what happened, which was "noise from a human mouth".

But because you don't work out which of your concepts (mental-units) refer-to something real, and which do not (fictions), you get confused.  And then the tangle of bogus concepts interconnected with other concepts (some bogus and some valid) occur as you hear those noises uttered in various combinations and permutations with other words and concepts, and they exist in your brain without clear causal relationships.  And for that reason, you cannot figure out how to apply them... or even figure out which can be applied at all (the ones that aren't fictions).

So let's work through this situation.

If I produce some real, physical good or goodie, I have a real relationship to that good or goodie.  What is the nature of that relationship?  I am its creator.  I am its producer.  I have one the most real and fundamental relationships to that good or goodie that can possibly exist.  I am its cause.  I assume you've heard of "causality" and "cause and effect".  No "authority" required here, just the fundamental nature of reality.  Without my actions, that "good" or "goodie" would not have existed.  I took actions that caused that good or goodie to exist.  I made that good or goodie exist.  I am its creator.

Okay, now we have that much straight, and very straight that is.  We now know what that relationship is, between me and my goods and goodies.

Well, guess what?  Other human beings on this planet have also realized that they too can take actions that create goods and goodies.  They too are creators.  They too are producers.

Now, if I and another human producer exchange goods and goodies that we created, that is between them and me.  PERIOD.

To invoke ANY third party... especially some moron scumbag predator who just sits around and issues demands and declarations, and now and they pretends to "grant permissions" --- is simply fundamentally misguided and fundamentally wrong.

Hell, you could point at any action and any noise emitted by any of the other 7-billions human chimps on the planet and attempt to make some relevant connection between them and the two of us producers who exchanged the goods and goodies we produced.

But there is no connection beyond the fact we both exist in the same universe.

And so, to claim that "somehow", in some magic and unstated way, the two of us who exchanged the goods we created were somehow "made possible by grunts, noises and smeared ink" some wildly insane but very self-important chimps elsewhere on the planet (not to mention 240 years ago)... is just... well... insane.  And I say "insane" here not to be offensive in any way, but to be precise.  These claims are exceedingly common in modern times, uttered probably tens of billions of times every single day by most of the human chimps on this planet.

They were all trained to be insane since birth.

So don't feel bad.  ALL OF US have been insane, because we have all been trained and brainwashed to be insane since our birth... by radically insane parents, teachers, relatives... and endless chimps pretending to be "authorities".

Unfortunately, because the training is so deep, extensive, and all-encompassing, the path to sanity is long, hard and visible only to the very most careful, diligent and dedicated of the small percentage who eventually took the red pill and refused the kool-aide.  The rest of the chimps are completely hopeless, and cannot be saved.  Hell, most of us who "basically get it" cannot be saved.  Only a very few will, and only a very few will get beyond a superficial recognition of how totally FALSE almost everything we've heard and read is... even from those who "mostly get it".

To bring this rant back to the specific topic I was discussing, no matter HOW many quadrillion claims are made by any number of trillions of insane chimps bouncing off the walls of any number of billions of so-called "senate buildings"...

THEIR ACTIONS ARE NOT MINE, AND NOT RELATED TO ME.

NOTHING you say can change that.  NOTHING you think can change that.

The ONLY WAY their ink, actions and babble can have a relation to me (or you) is...

IF YOU MAKE THEM.

Unless, of course, they are physically shooting at you, or something like that.  Then there is only a relationship between you and the predator assaulting you, and the appropriate action is to safe your butt in whatever seems the best way at the time.  The most appropriate response is to kill them dead immediately, but that's not always the wisest response in the medium run.  Often "evade" and "escape" are less problematic, because those predators tend to work in gangs, just like packs of roving predators in the jungle.

And in fact, the relationship any human producer has to individual or packs of human predators is essentially the same as the relationship any human producer has to individual or packs of predators of any other species.  Evade them.  Escape them.  Or kill them... and then escape the rest of their pack.  And if possible, exterminate ALL predators who mess with you or your domain (family, friends, farm, ranch, whatever).

It is YOU who make "freedom impossible" for yourself... by making utterly spurious and unwarranted connections like you do above.  For you to claim "honestann cannot be free, because some power-crazed self-important chimp in Slovenia uttered terms like 'property rights' a few times" is to:

A:  be fundamentally wrong.
B:  make freedom for yourself impossible.
C:  justify every act of every human predator against producers.

Look at the world this way instead.  The entire planet of crazy human chimps are making threatening noises and throwing things at each other all the time... in play and/or anger and/or testing-the-waters.

They are not you.  YOU can stand on the balcony above, watch, and not be involved.  You are not required to be involved... no matter what noise any of those chimps make when they look up at you above.  Whether you interact with any of them or not is your decision.  Your individual decision.  And you are free to interact, or not interact, with any of them, or all of them.

And if one of them manages to find a way to swing up onto the balcony, and claims you must join the free-for-all below, you can say "no way".  And if that chimp tries to force you, you can kill him.  And you probably should kill him if you can get away with it.  Because those kinds of chimps will forever attempt to control you if you don't put them down.  But at the very least, you should evade that chimp, you should escape that chimp (and the entire looney bin you happen to be within), and you should start deciding how you want to live.  And then go do so.

-----

That you must "invest time and effort and resources to survive" does not make you "not free".  Not if your concept of "free" means anything like it should to you.  Or if you have some reason for holding a massively perverted meaning for the word and sound "free", then fine.  But create a new concept that means "free" in the way I mean "free"... and then perform a careful process of thought and reflection on the nature of THAT concept.  Attach whatever letters and sound you wish to that concept, but at least HAVE ONE.

At root, what "liberty" and "freedom" and "anarchy" mean is the literal meaning of "anarchy", namely "no rulers".  It means... YOU are responsible for your actions, not someone else.  YOU choose what actions to take, and then you take them, and then you enjoy, bare or suffer the consequences of those actions.  Or at least expect to and attempt to.

You also talk about "society".  That's another fiction.  There is no society, and there cannot be any society.  What exists is... a bunch of individuals.  That's all.

Take away the individuals, and you will find no "society".

Take away the trees, and you will find no "forest".

There is also no "government".  What does exist are... human predators.  The largest packs of human predators may CALL themselves "government", but the "name" of something is NOT THE THING.  What exists are... human predators.  That they call themselves "government"... or "mafia"... or "Monsanto" has no significance other than to distinguish "one pack of predators" from others.  That's IT.

There cannot BE "government of the people".  How can you figure that out?  Simple.  Because the predators and the prey are not the same!  The eater and the eaten are not the same!  The so-called "government" is nothing but the name of a specific pack of human predators.  PERIOD.  So the very notion that "the predators are the prey" is absurd and inherently self-contradictory (unless you've identified a new phenomenon, a life-form that just sits around and eats itself until it is gone".  Somehow, I don't think so.

Yes, "words matter"... because they are a major part of the tool that has confused you and everyone else since birth.  They are a great tool for deception too, because humans attach those words to concepts (mental-units) in their heads, and then manipulate them as if they refer-to real existents in the real universe.  But most of the words and mental-units that dominate the mental-processes of most human chimps DO NOT refer-to anything real.  They are fiat, fake, fraud, fiction, fantasy... LIES.  They are fake contrivances that control the thought processes of humans.

And this is "the fatal-flaw in human consciousness".  Humans have no inclination or tendency to make sure their mental-units are valid, sensible, consistent... or even marginally sane.  And most of them ARE NOT.  And worse, humans have been convinced that the most destructive fictional mental-units are the most important, the mental-units that MUST BE accepted, and MUST guide the rest of their thinking and actions.

I won't extend this message by another 100 lines, but if you look back far enough, you can find ZH messages where I describe the "fundamental bifurcation of mankind" into "predators" and "producers".  These two approaches to life are DIAMETRIC OPPOSITES, and this explains more about the state of affairs on planet earth than any other single identification.

-----

predators DESTROY.

producers CREATE.

-----

predators benefit from DECEIT.

producers benefit from HONESTY.

-----

predators have no ethics, only a modus-operandi (get away with whatever you can).

producers identified a natural ethics to guide interactions of human producers.

-----

Humans try to interact with other humans as if all humans are fundamentally the same, and can be interacted with in the same way.

IMPOSSIBLE.

You cannot have voluntary interactions between ethics-free destroyers with zero scruples whatsoever... and ethics-bound producers who attempt to interact voluntarily.

CANNOT HAPPEN.

The only way for producers to deal effectively with predators of any species who threaten them is... to evade, escape, or exterminate.

To attempt to negotiate with predators is hilarious to predators, because they understand THEY WILL EAT YOU ALIVE.

For producers to attempt to negotiate or cooperate with predators is SUICIDE.

-----

You mention "rules of behavior".  They are diametric opposites for predators and producers.

The predators have no rules, only their modus-operandi, which is to get away with whatever they think they can.  And so they love to pretend "rules of behavior" exist when they're around producers.

The predator rules of behavior are: obey us or die.

For producers to pretend that "rules of behavior" is even possible in a world where human predators and human producers are considered "the same" is SUICIDE.

But that's the story of modern mankind.

SCORE TO DATE
predators: 674930258439085439028
producers: 0

You'd think producers would eventually catch on.

Nope.

Its not just Americans but humanity in general that is apathetic. This is why humans deserve everything that is coming to them.

I am sure there is some clever Ghandiesque jiujitsu that can overthrow the fascist kleptocracy, but I am not clever enough.  All I can see being effective is to nuke D.C. and N.Y.C.

Dear Thad

If Washington was to start adhering to the constitution, eliminating all unconstitutional law, restoring states sovereignty and militias there would be a cry heard round the world and rioting in the streets.

The American Republic as designed was mortally wounded with the uncivil war and pronounced dead in 1913.

Americans have made their choice for a obnoxious socialist state. There is no turning back.

According to the NSA, the majority of information collected from Americans is collected under a Executive Order issued by Ronald Reagan.

Show me one Republican who cares about that.  Just one.

Remember, Ron Paul voted with Dubya 90% of the time, even after he admitted on TV he was wiretapping Americans (after he lied and said he wasn't).

Hypocrites.
