Why The Powers That Be Are Pushing A Cashless Society
We Can’t Rein In the Banks If We Can’t Pull Our Money Out of Them
Martin Armstrong summarizes the headway being made to ban cash, and argues that the goal of those pushing a cashless society is to prevent bank runs ... and increase their control:
The central banks are ... planning drastic restrictions on cash itself. They see moving to electronic money will first eliminate the underground economy, but secondly, they believe it will even prevent a banking crisis. This idea of eliminating cash was first floated as the normal trial balloon to see how the people take it. It was first launched by Kenneth Rogoff of Harvard University and Willem Buiter, the chief economist at Citigroup. Their claims have been widely hailed and their papers are now the foundation for the new age of Economic Totalitarianism that confronts us. Rogoff and Buiter have laid the ground work for the end of much of our freedom and will one day will be considered the new Marx with hindsight. They sit in their lofty offices but do not have real world practical experience beyond theory. Considerations of their arguments have shown how governments can seize all economic power are destroy cash in the process eliminating all rights. Physical paper money provides the check against negative interest rates for if they become too great, people will simply withdraw their funds and hoard cash. Furthermore, paper currency allows for bank runs. Eliminate paper currency and what you end up with is the elimination of the ability to demand to withdraw funds from a bank.
***
In many nations, specific measures have already been taken demonstrating that the Rogoff-Buiter world of Economic Totalitarianism is indeed upon us. This is the death of Capitalism. Of course the socialists hate Capitalism and see other people’s money should be theirs. What they cannot see is that Capitalism is freedom from government totalitarianism. The freedom to pursue the field you desire without filling the state needs that supersede your own.
There have been test runs of this Rogoff-Buiter Economic Totalitarianism to see if the idea works. I reported on June 21, 2014 that Britain was doing a test run. A shopping street in Manchester banned cash as part of an experiment to see if Brits would accept a cashless society. London buses ended accepting cash payments from July 2014. Meanwhile, Currency Exchange dealers began offering debt cards instead of cash that they market as being safer to travel with. The Chorlton, South Manchester experiment was touted to test customers and business reaction to the idea for physical currency will disappear inside 20 years.
France passed another Draconian new law that from the police parissummer of 2015 it will now impose cash requirements dramatically trying to eliminate cash by force. French citizens and tourists will then only be allowed a limited amount of physical money. They have financial police searching people on trains just passing through France to see if they are transporting cash, which they will now seize. Meanwhile, the new French Elite are moving in this very same direction. Piketty wants to just take everyone’s money who has more than he does. Nobody stands on the side of freedom or on restraining the corruption within government. The problem always turns against the people for we are the cause of the fiscal mismanagement of government that never has enough for themselves.
In Greece a drastic reduction in cash is also being discussed in light of the economic crisis. Now any bill over €70 should be payable only by check or credit card – it will be illegal to pay in cash. The German Baader Bank founded in Munich expects formally to abolish the cash to enforce negative interest rates on accounts that is really taxation on whatever money you still have left after taxes.
***
Complete abolition of cash threatens our very freedom and rights of citizens in so many areas.
***
Paper currency is indeed the check against negative interest rates. We need only look to Switzerland to prove that theory. Any attempt to impose say a 5% negative interest rates (tax) would lead to an unimaginably massive flight into cash. This was already demonstrated recently by the example of Swiss pension funds, which withdrew their money from the bank in a big way and now store it in vaults in cash in order to escape the financial repression. People will act in their own self-interest and negative interest rates are likely to reduce the sales of government bonds and set off a bank run as long as paper money exists.
Obviously, government and bankers are not stupid. The only way to prevent such a global bank run would be the total prohibition of paper money. This is unlikely, both in Switzerland and in the United States because the economies are dominated there by a certain “liberalism” to some extent but also because their currencies also circulate outside their domestic economies. The fact that but the question of the cash ban in the context of a global conference with the participation of the major central banks of the US and the ECB will be discussed, demonstrates by itself that the problem is not a regional problem.
Nevertheless, there is a growing assumption that the negative interest rate world (tax on cash) is likely to increase dramatically in Europe in particular since it is socialism that is collapsing. Government in Brussels is unlikely to yield power and their line of thinking cannot lead to any solution. The negative interest rate concept is making its way into the United States at J.P. Morgan where they will charge a fee on excess cash on deposit starting May 1st, 2015. Asset holdings of cash with a tax or a fee in the amount of the negative interest rate seems to be underway even in Switzerland.
***
The movement toward electronic money is moving at high speed and this says a lot about the state of the financial system. The track record of the major financial institutions is nearly perfect – they are always caught on the wrong side when a crisis breaks, which requires their bailouts. The fact that we have already seen test runs with theory-balloons flying, the major financial institutions are in no shape to withstand another economic decline.
For depositors, this means they really need to grasp what is going on here for unless they are vigilant, there is a serious risk of losing everything. We must understand that these measures will be implemented overnight in the middle of a banking crisis after 2015.75. The balloons have taken off and the discussions are underway. The trend in taxation and reduction of cash seems to be unstoppable. Government is not prepared to reform for that would require a new way of thinking and a loss of power. That is not a consideration. They only see one direction and that is to take us into the new promised-land of economic totalitarianism.
People can’t pull cash out of their bank accounts – for political reasons, because they’ve lost confidence in the bank, or because “bail-ins” are enacted – if cash is banned.
The Financial Times argued last year that central banks would be the real winners from a cashless society:
Central bankers, after all, have had an explicit interest in introducing e-money from the moment the global financial crisis began…
***
The introduction of a cashless society empowers central banks greatly. A cashless society, after all, not only makes things like negative interest rates possible, it transfers absolute control of the money supply to the central bank, mostly by turning it into a universal banker that competes directly with private banks for public deposits. All digital deposits become base money.
The Government Can Manipulate Digital Accounts More Easily than Cash
Moreover, an official White House panel on spying has implied that the government is manipulating the amount in people’s financial accounts.
If all money becomes digital, it would be much easier for the government to manipulate our accounts.
Indeed, numerous high-level NSA whistleblowers say that NSA spying is about crushing dissent and blackmailing opponents … not stopping terrorism.
This may sound over-the-top … but remember, the government sometimes labels its critics as “terrorists“. If the government claims the power to indefinitely detain – or even assassinate – American citizens at the whim of the executive, don’t you think that government people would be willing to shut down, or withdraw a stiff “penalty” from a dissenter’s bank account?
If society becomes cashless, dissenters can’t hide cash. All of their financial holdings would be vulnerable to an attack by the government.
This would be the ultimate form of control. Because – without access to money – people couldn’t resist, couldn’t hide and couldn’t escape.
And see this:

An initiative to implement a cashless society would be equivalent to the government's confiscation of gold in 1933 and silver in 1934. Not all, but most of the main stream population would be under the government's control.
Dont you just hate it when the Pentagon/Dept of War feels that most of your money belongs to them?
It all works out for them when they spend other peoples money-until its gone, that is
Be careful what you wish.
Money deals with attention, but attention deals with solving a problem.
As long money can solve problems, attention is warranted. If money turns out to be a problem to advance with that well, I do not anticipate what ideas people will enact to safe the way attention is put into place.
It has token centuries to dress people to the argument.
It looks like there are only weeks now necessary to break people away from that always felt ethical crime habit.
Don't think usaa will go there. Don't think they would want to or could...
And I'm insured for huge amounts. Maybe not all the money I intend to make shorting this bitch not that I would keep it all there....
And the gov can't very well fuck all their soldiers....
U have to get around old peeps and all kinds of shit...
USAA is a conservative bank. And I'm sure they see me and what I am doing.. But they dint do risky stuff like some banks. And they keep investing away from banking and insurance away also. All sectors of the company are isolated away from each other so investments can't wipe out the banking side.... Which is insured for huge amounts up to millions ....perhaps heading towards the billions insured would have to check again...

USAA services military peeps but isn't created or connected with the government. But u know don't think the giv could force them or if it would work for all their military around the world.
Plus those military peeps love their gold and silver... They're total pack rats!
U can see it buy all the buy sell gold places all around where they live. Among other reasons I know.
there is not enough cash. that is a problem.
This will fail. The concept of cornering the currency assumes that people only accept the banks definition of money. But anything can compete with dollars if people see value. Silver, Gold, food, bullets, skilled labour, ect is always negotiable, but the banksters don't even see it. Even as their system crashes people will adapt -slowly at first, inevitably we will work with assets they don't even see, let alone control.
They had it in the palm of thier hands. The world almost united under the banks banner. Then the impatient among them blew it. Sure, they will try another version of the same lie, but its days will be numbered.
All they had to be was something the people wanted to be part of, and briefly it seemed they were!. But power attracts the corruptible, and what should have been a fullfilment of the Order for the New World has been perverted by the same corruption as the Order of the Old World.
You loose control by grasping for it, and now deflation cometh.
As long as it's not a peer to peer currency invented somewhere apart from a government - then they'll shit bricks.
Furthermore while jobs are still being attended & wages paid, people can pay for any number of things as quick as they are paid, stock them up & barter with each other before a bank-run happens. Those who are too late... too fucking bad.
Another reason to elect Clinton. She's not going to let her rake off the Dixie Mafia's cash profits from the meth trade from Latin America be put in jeopardy. No way.
I hope you know how ridiculously funny the truth is it sounds.
A new facet polished on the prism of seeing the world.
Instead of translating coded lies, interpret what's in a candidates personal ego trip.
For the long slog, makes crazy sense.
They still taking out insurance on people they are unrelated to??
Seems like if you are going to take someone's savings why not put Insurance on all of those you are going to steal from and if they die in the next 10 years, 20 years, Bingo, another pay day.
Of course it would be immoral for Governments to do that.
But the FED, a Private Corporation, and TBTF Banks could do that.
In fact why not an experiment with those taking Student Loans of near $140K or $200K and pick the losers and put insurance policies on those young workers. See how it pays off. After all the Power of TBTF is to create money out of thin air... and they sort of ran up the Investments too high already.
Of course it is the kind of think the Mafia would have done. It is not Ethical. But where do you think the Mafia went if not Government, Contracting, and Wall Street.

" This is the death of Capitalism. Of course the socialists hate Capitalism and see other people’s money should be theirs."
Capitalism has been moldering in its grave for nearly 100 years. So that's a specious argument and the trillions of losses of the Jewish firms on Wall Street, Fleet Street and Orchard Street have been "Socialized" for decades, none more so than the last 7 years.
There exists a street kind of capitalism at the retail level in cars, stores, and others that live on 1-6% margins, but that is not where all the real money is.
Bitcoin and their competitors too are attempting to move us from cash to their digital transfers.
Yes, "capitalism" died to the degree that privately controlled banks were allowed to make public "money" supply out of nothing, while that fraud was enforced by governments. Only trivial forms of "free market capitalism" still exist inside of the overall situation where almost all of the public "money" supply is being created out of nothing as debts by privately controlled banks.
MAKING "MONEY" OUT OF NOTHING IS
MAKING "CAPITAL" OUT OF NOTHING.
Obviously, "capitalism" was destroyed by that, while it automatically got worse, at an exponential rate. The "legal fictions" regarding "corporations" were also what grew up around the "legal fictions" that were authorized by governments, that were privately controlled banks' frauds being able to make the public "money" supply out of nothing. There is now almost nothing but integrated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, headed towards destroying themselves due to too much of their own social success from doing that.
However, it takes a much deeper, and more thorough analysis to deal with the ways that actually happened, without which no genuinely better "solutions" would be possible. As my comment above outlined, it is vital to face the ways that, overall, "capitalism" actually INCLUDED FRAUD AND MURDER. The superficial notions about what "free market capitalism" should be, tend to be based on deliberately ignoring what actually exists, in favour of promoting impossible ideals regarding what should be.
That is what the article above by George Washington was implicitly doing, as well as that is also what almost every other article published on Zero Hedge has also been doing: superficial analysis of the degree to which the world is necessarily controlled by the principles and methods of organized crime, followed by superficial "solutions" based on somehow stopping that from being the case.
Deeper analysis fully faces the facts, and then, directs the development of realistic solutions based on fully facing those facts: governments are necessarily the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, and so, the ONLY realistic solutions are to develop better organized crime, which would take greater use of information, enabling higher consciousness, through more people understanding that there ARE death controls that back up the debt controls, and there MUST BE.
It is RIDICULOUS to use the language of "socialism" versus "capitalism." There is NOTHING BUT organized crime, which includes the ways that the controlled opposition operates inside of the systems which are fundamentally based upon organized crime. Just because governments become the biggest forms of organized crime, which are controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, does not change anything other than their relative ability to get away with promoting their bullshit to become the dominant social stories.
Given that those have now become globalized electronic frauds, backed by the force of atomic bombs, it is theoretically imperative that political science go through profound paradigm shifts. However, instead, the vast majority stay stuck within the ruts of their favourite religions and ideologies. In that context, there is rarely any substantive reply to my point of view, other than that the vast majority of people continue to ignore it ... while perhaps making snide comments that they would rather not have to consider it ... They want my points to be edited and abbreviated down to the degree where they could again easily pigeon hole those back into their own pre-conceived notions, using their own favourite old-fashioned religions and ideologies, in order to continue to profoundly misunderstand the way the world works, which then may enable them to feel good about promoting their favourite bullshit about what the "solutions" should be.
"It is RIDICULOUS to use the language of "socialism" versus "capitalism." There is NOTHING BUT organized crime, which includes the ways that the controlled opposition operates inside of the systems which are fundamentally based upon organized crime."
Yes but try to splain the difference between REAL CAPITALISM and socialism to a socialist and one is met with the deer in the headlights look OR that REAL SOCIALISM has never been tried anywhere which is why it always fails, to their minds.
Its like they have no concept whatsoever of human self interest, that putting someone(s) in authority (giving them ultimate power over the levers of the "regulatory body") can only lead to altruism, good vibrations from zen and not greed & patronage...lol.
Likewise these shit stains who call themselves "capitalists" who risk nothing of their own beggaring the taxpayer, the Joe Sixpacks through "tax credits" or subsidies, put your own mansions or yachts up as collateral assholes and be what you CLAIM to be, they are not capitalists (a true capitalist isn't backed by an arm of the state, quite the opposite).
Organized crime is about the size of it, the biggest gang is and always will be .gov who controls the turf through which the apparatus called law & regulation is organized, so if you want an "organized society" you will have organized crime, though it will certainly be called "legal", whatever that winds up meaning.
Theres no way around that simple fact.
Myself, I'm still a capitalist (in a nutshell it means, self interest) legalities and the so-called law be damned, whatever the largest gang extracts from me by me playing "on its turf" is extortion and I recognize it as such.
Crips, Bloods and then Us is the way it is and has always been.
I'm surprised most people don't see it for what it is ;-)
"I'm surprised most people don't see it for what it is ;-)"
Me too, although I sympathize with those who try to maintain some irrational hopes with respect to that, because that is what I continue to try do too ... although that gets harder to do every day, while I have found that to become almost impossible since about 2008, when the response to the financial crises really put the icing on the cake that nothing was going to be reformed or fixed, but rather, the established systems were going to even more obviously double down AGAIN & AGAIN ...
Of course, they always were, but since 2008 that has become so blatantly obvious that it became less and less possible to continue to ignore what was really happening, and less and less possible to not face the fundamental facts that the government was being controlled by the banksters, so that the government was behaving in criminally insane ways.
P.S.
At least, in the USA, more people became somewhat aware of that. However, in Canada the vast majority of people continued to be unaware of that. Despite the economic and perceptual bubbles popping in the USA and UK, to some significant degrees, the corresponding bubbles in Canada still have not popped ...
The simple solutions work best.
One might be surprized by the complex issues that could be fixed with fifty foot of rope.
There is no nor ever will be a grand unifiying solution. Life is not like that. A thousand cuts would need the same number of band aids. A million stupid mistakes will need a lot of smart solutions.
Taken as a whole all of these issues may seem insurmountable sure. But taken one at a time its really not that hard to see it is all correctable.
Ya cant fix stupid. But slapping stupid around will make ya feel better. Never know maybe they will learn too?
I'm guessing the US govt and military developed normally along lines of accounting and auditing. Book Keeping and Accounting seems like would be led by Banks and Banks are already in the Intelligence Gathering business just like the Govt and Military. So it is a good fit.
Problems:
A. Mafia Wars, Black Market Booze, aggressive men who disrespect our young women and corrupt our kids.
B. Lawyers, Bankers, Secret Banking Deals in Wartime, Lobbyist, Power of Wealthy, Foundations can have hidden agendas, Law, regulation, tax laws stack on top of themselves thanks to Lawyers
C. Money, Gift-Giving, Promotions for Friends & Fraternity Brothers, Cronyism, Careers for insiders who are helpful, Regulation Capture, Revolving Door to Industry, Private Money spent on Testing Products, Training for Medical Doctors, Training for Justices, Effect of Retired Military going into Government or Justices, Effect of Fraternities or networks within Government Functions
D. Financial Secrecy, Financial Engineering
E. Charter for Banks along with other powers and privileges allow different degrees of advantages, clearly there are fewer small banks and fewer Banks in General as big banks Get 30% Bigger after 2008, and seems very clear that money can be created out of thin air and activities moved off of the Balance sheet during Audits, the Power to Create Credit and Money is unexplained in why people and governments give up this power and don't monitor it and publish who is creating the most money, why, what it is used for, is it effectively utilized for Public Good, does it help in Recessions and Depressions, are Banks on Wall Street helping some Elite Class of Citizen, themselves, and how much do they do things that help common people at low fees or low interest rates
F. Congress keeps passing laws with deceitful purposes, that provide unfair advantages to PACs or Soft Money or Big Money

4. Cost Cutting through Mergers & LBOs that allow firing older Employees, Cancelling Pensions & Retirement, Cancel Benefits, Use Temp Employees, Use more Women since they often have lower compensation
5. Automate Jobs, Use Computers to Replace Workers, Robotics
6. Change Laws to allow Liberal Accounting, Finance, Lobbying, Soft Money, PACs, create Tax Loopholes, Lower Corporate Tax Rates, Privatize Government Functions so that Government Funds part of Operations, Get Government Loan Guarantees and Government Contracts, Socialize Losses, Privatize Profits and Bonuses, Write Off Higher Administrative Costs for Travel, Limos, Airplanes, offices, new Buildings, Lobbying expenses, Take expenses off the Top from Revenues
7. Have Corporations Declared Persons, overturn Anti-Trust Landmark Ideas, Make Big Corporations a Matter of National Security, Make Banks TBTF, Make Defense Corporations intrinsic to "Superpower" Status
What is the Answer?
The Auditing and Rules Put together by the Start of WWII and up into 1970s were all we needed.
We still have plenty of National History for Dealing with Financial Conflict of Interest and Racketeering.

Mr. Teeth,
A great summary of the forces that counterbalance each other. Problem reaction solution. Or is it create solution, then cause problem and reaction like the Patriot Act or the Big Pharma Medicare Overhaul Bill of years past? While you did a well organized description in a couple short bulletpoints all these forces at work and the historical evolution, the problem with your "answer" is that those alphabet soup enforcement agencies cannot be levered. In fact, the bankers and other profiteering centers are just as embedded and perhaps more so in those organizations, not to mention that outside lobbyists, other governments, CIA and worse are going to ensure that those agencies on which you pin your solution will be destined to fail. For example, the DOJ announced a couple months ago about a new investigation into financial crimes by the high priest bankers that occurred around the last crisis--Lehman, etc., now approaching the statute of limitations for almost all of these quite clearly criminal actions. So the process of investigation is set up to fail or be stymied by procedural technicalities or red herring fake inquiries that give only an aura of justice but not actual justice. Unfortunately, you would have to completely clean house in the alphabet soup agencies and that will never happen short of complete governmental failure. But we can hope, can't we?
P.S. When you say you are "guessing" intelligence services are a good "fit" for banking and accounting/insurance, research, e.g., AIG and Brown Brothers Harriman, where the CIA and other intelligence services were born and embedded to work together until this day. One hand washes the other, or you might say their hands are one and the same. That is why there is unfortunately little chance that your "answer" will work to fix this problem.
While I agreed with the article above, it presents the problems in too superficial ways, and therefore, recommends relatively silly "solutions," which are rearguard actions, necessarily destined to fail.
The basics are that the pressures of natural selection drove the development of the current cultures of artificial selection, which operate most successfully by being as deceitful and fraudulent as they can possibly be. Unfortunately, that includes the controlled opposition groups, as well as those closer to the core of organized crime. Governments are NECESSARILY the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. Those who pretend to resist that actually enable that to happen, because they are attempting to cancel out the ways that natural selection pressures have been channeled into artificial selection systems.
There is nothing but the dynamic equilibria of different systems of organized lies operating robberies. Our entire political economy had its historical foundation laid by the long history of warfare, and therefore, our political economy is based on enforced frauds. Governments were basically military organizations, while those were organized crime on larger and larger scales. Therefore, "citizens" are actually members of an organized crime gang, that they call their "country." To the extent that those "citizens" do not understand that, then they become incompetent political idiots.
Keeping relatively anonymous cash is a silly way to respond to the runaway situations, driven to the degree that the best organized gangs of criminals have captured such thorough control over all the branches of government that there is barely any functional divisions of powers, or checks and balances, that are still functional, because of the ways that the vicious spirals of the FUNDING OF THE POLITICAL PROCESSES have driven runaway destruction of the rule of law, and rendering the democratic republic to become nothing more than a cruel joke, making a mockery out of itself.
To the degree that people do not understand, because they do not want to understand, that money is necessarily measurement backed by murder, they also do not understand, because they do not want to understand, how pathetically inadequate it is to try to preserve the existence of anonymous cash, in a world where the vast majority of the public "money" supply is already electronic fraud. That silliness is due to the ways that the controlled opposition groups do not understand the degree to which they are controlled:
HOW THE OPPOSITION THINKS IS CONTROLLED.
"The absolute best controlled opposition is
one that doesn't know they are controlled."
--- Cognitive Dissonance.
Ironically, that author, who publishes under that name on Zero Hedge, also tends to not fully appreciate the degree to which the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories are built into the dominant natural language and philosophy of science, because almost nobody does. The results of living inside of Bizarro Mirror World, or Wonderland Matrix, are not only are there runaway problems where everything appears to be proportionately backwards and absurd, but also, almost all of the publicly significant opposition groups also propose bogus "solutions" which are similarly backwards and absurd.
That is the way that I regard the controlled opposition groups which are attempting to resist the disappearance of anonymous cash.
I REPEAT what I recently commented under this article:
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-05-03/stop-being-so-negative-putting-it-all-together
"Stop Being So Negative": Putting It All Together
Natural selection pressures have always existed, and will always exist. Those created the current systems of artificial selection. Maintaining attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance towards that situation only assists the best available professional liars and immaculate hypocrites to operate their systems, which are based on backing up lies with violence, in order to keep others ignorant and afraid.
Attempting to preserve anonymous cash actually will become another effort to attempt to preserve evil deliberate ignorance. Those attitudes operate INSIDE of the view that some people take that they should resist the biggest gangs of criminals, governments, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, which currently are the banksters. The problem with that approach is that it tends to mostly be based on false fundamental dichotomies, and the related impossible ideals, which necessarily must continue to backfire badly and cause the opposite to happen in the real world.
The only genuine paths forward are to embrace the paradoxes that governments are, and must be, expressions of organized crime, because human being and civilizations are entropic pumps of energy flows. The kinds of real, radical, revolutions that we need are NOT rearguard actions promoted by reactionary revolutionaries, who advocate going backwards, as in this case by keeping anonymous cash. Rather, the way forward is through series of intellectual scientific revolutions, which are able and willing to come to terms with the ways that progress in physical sciences have enabled the development of globalized electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs.
ONLY that which actually exists can actually evolve, and the ONLY things which actually exist are the dynamic equilibria of different systems of organized lies operating robberies. Those systems have become extremely unbalanced, and apparently unstoppable runaways, because of the degree to which the vast majority of "We the People" have become "Zombie Sheeple," who have been brainwashed to believe in the biggest bullies' bullshit world view, which was always as backward as it could possibly be.
There is nothing wrong with the political theory of a democratic republic, operating through the rule of law, to assemble and channel the power that everyone has to rob, and to kill to back up that robbery. However, what has happened in that those systems have been almost totally buried under the biggest bullies' bullshit, which includes that the only publicly significant opposition is controlled to stay within the same frame of reference as that overall bullshit, which was originally promoted by the biggest bullies, in order to attempt to rationalize and justify what they were doing, through developing the DUALISM of false fundamental dichotomies, and related impossible ideals, which the controlled opposition is allowed to promote, because that actually makes the opposite happen in the real world.
One of the basic problems is the degree to which there is almost nothing but controlled opposition groups, who pretend to resist the core groups of entrenched organized crime, which have become governments dominated by the banksters. The controlled opposition may be described as mostly being "Black Sheeple" who are attempting to lead the "Zombie Sheeple" backwards. Those reactionary revolutionaries somewhat reveal the social facts that the people who act like Vicious Wolves, and their more Domesticated Dogs, are actually controlling society. However, that kind of controlled opposition NEVER proposes better death controls to back up better debt controls. Rather, that controlled opposition promotes various old-fashioned religions and ideologies, which were always compromised and co-opted to become the various forms of controlled opposition, which are publicly significant today.
The article above, from George Washington, as republished on Zero Hedge, is another typical example of relatively good analysis of the problems, followed by suggesting the same bullshit solutions, which are still guaranteed to backfire badly, as they always have before, both in the shorter term, as well as in the longer term. In the shorter term, the banksters are probably going to continue to achieve their agenda. However, in the longer term that agenda is going to automatically become more criminally insane, and so, eventually go through psychotic breakdowns ... Indeed, those may be the ONLY realistic ways that there would develop less organized crime, that the basic conditions which enabled the development organized crime would be overall so undermined and eroded that centralized controls would be breaking down ... However, that is NOT a better outcome!
The essential problems continue to be the same: progress in physical sciences enabling technologies to become trillions of times more powerful and capable, primarily being channeled through social pyramid systems based on being able to back up lies with violence, in which social situations there is almost nothing but controlled opposition groups, who are run by the same kinds of professional liars and immaculate hypocrites as those that run the established systems. Both try to deliberately avoid admitting that there MUST necessarily be some human death control systems, with the human murder systems as the most extreme manifestation of those. However, militarism will continue to necessarily be the supreme ideology, as the ideology of the murder system, that backs up the money system. The trends towards eliminating anonymous cash are obviously aspects of the development of the biggest forms of organized crime, governments, becoming more dominated by the best organized gangs of criminals, the banksters. However, the only genuine solutions to those problems are to develop better organized crime, which is the only way that better governments could actually exist.
Better governments would have to operate better death control systems. That is being made more and more theoretically imperative by the development of weapons of mass destruction, that back up the globalized electronic frauds, which are the ways that the current monetary systems work. The progress in physical science, such as quantum mechanics and the special theory of relativity, that enabled phenomena like electronics and atomic energy to be actualized by human beings, theoretically require a series of radical paradigm shifts in political science, which then would apply to the combined money/murder systems. However, due to social habits, at the present time about the only publicly significant opposition groups promote going backwards to old-fashioned religions and ideologies. In the Western tradition, in North America, that primarily means those who are Bible thumping, or those who are thumping upon the constitution and the bill of rights. All of that is practically useless, and counter-productive, or worse.
In my view, George Washington is typical of the content republished on Zero Hedge, which presents excellent analysis of the political problems, on their own level, but never went any deeper, and therefore, implicitly switch gears to promote bogus "solutions" which are too shallow, to the point of being silly, or worse, since such "solutions" necessarily will fail to work, as those have always failed to work throughout human history.
Human beings and civilizations necessarily operate according to the principles and methods of organized crime, because they necessarily are entropic pumps of energy flows. The concept of entropy has been deliberately inverted and misunderstood, in similar ways, and for similar reasons, that all the rest of the dominate social stories are the biggest bullies' bullshit. More philosophically speaking, the progress in physical sciences have proven that the common sense understanding of the DUALITIES of time and space were profoundly WRONG & BACKWARD, which then applied to there also being a general, deliberate, misunderstanding of the concept of entropy, as the ways that energy is spread through time and space.
Somehow, old-fashioned religions and ideologies expect themselves to be able to resolve the problems of globalized systems of electronic frauds, backed by atomic bombs, without in any significant ways adapting themselves to how and why those technologies worked, because of the profound paradigm shifts achieved in physical science. Political science is currently almost totally dominated by the established systems of organized crime, surrounded by controlled opposition groups, while both are operated by the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, who both want to continue to believe in their own preferred old-fashioned religions and ideologies. Since those vicious spirals of bullshit have been socially successful for so long, such professional hypocrites love to promote impossible ideals, based on false fundamental dichotomies, to the degree that they deliberately ignore all other rational evidence and logical arguments which demonstrate that what they actually achieve is the opposite of everything that they claim they are trying to do.
At least with the core groups of organized crime, i.e., governments controlled by banksters, their short-term results of successfully enforcing frauds make sense. However, the status of the surrounding groups of controlled opposition, that spout the same basic bullshit, it more difficult to comprehend, other than through an examination of the deeper history of how the central organized crime was able to control its opposition. But nevertheless, all one has to do is skim through the article above, and the other comments made upon that article, to observe the patterns that I have described.
The controlled opposition promotes the bullshit "solutions" that we should all become better sheeple. I promote the view that we should all become better wolves. The ACTUAL resolutions to our problems can only be achieved through a series of intellectual scientific revolutions, going through the philosophy of science, to manifest in the political science that operates the combined money/murder systems, because the ONLY genuinely better resolutions of the political problems must necessarily be better death control systems, which must be achieved through radical paradigm shifts in the ways that we perceive those death controls, in order to operate them in radically different ways.
There is NOTHING less than better murder systems which are sufficient. Attempts to preserve anonymous cash are not going to work, and do not serve the longer term goals of developing better death controls systems, which must necessarily exist because natural selection pressures will continue to exist, and will drive the develop of artificial selection systems.
I REPEAT the basics:
Every good analysis of the political problems is going to reveal that civilization is actually be controlled by applications of the methods of organized crime. However, NO good solutions are possible that are based upon stopping that from happening. Any attempts to stop the disappearance of anonymous cash are misguided, because those are notions manifesting inside of a basically mistaken set of presumptions regarding the issues that civilization is being controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, the bankster controlled governments. As long as the dominate controlled opposition groups continue to promote impossible solutions, then the circumstances in the real world will continue to get worse, faster, as the dynamic equilibria become even more unbalanced ... (Of course, that is what I expect to actually happen, because I do not expect there to develop enough real opposition, rather than that there continues to be mostly the same old-fashioned bullshit opposition, based upon obsolete religions and ideologies.)

I am jumping in here to generally support RM. I first read one of his posts a couple months ago and having not learned yet his definitions of murder control systems and the way governments and other gangs emerge or evolve, I did not get the message. But it is spot on analysis of the big picture, albeit using some lingo that needs to sink in first for most of us. The more MJ I smoke, the more rapidly I could probably deconstruct and apply his general principles.
As far as science and physical theories go, I understand you are saying that embracing these serve as a way to stamp out the corrupt application of the murder control systems, since theoretically they can be enforced with precisity and without bias, assuming they are encoded correctly in electronic currency, for example. However, if you are a pure naturalist and believe that the human tendency is that the most powerful will always corrupt the system and/or the wolves who successfully defeat the existing system will then be corrupted progressively or, as you say, through entropy, how long before the new scientifically based system is fully corrupted by the most powerful gangsters? Isn't that what is already happening, for example, in energy, military, and other highly profitable R&D technology? People/scientists are already threatened or worse and thereby controlled.
Remember the insiders who tried to break the control systems in automotive, military, intelligence, big pharma, and cigarette research? There are movies about what happens to them--denigration, persecution, prosecution, inevitably leading to divorce, destruction of life and family, and even death. The existing powers will do anything to either stifle or control any emerging system that promises or tends to limit existing power. So again, we are left with the ultimate conclusion of systematic breakdown and then the emergence of a "new order" that will again be corrupted, even while promising a system of mathematical or physical theories that start out to with a premise of justice through transparency and science.
Keep up the analysis--your message is important albeit bleak in its realism.
Edit, man, EDIT!!! TOOOO many notes!!
You need a chocolate brownie.
The "reply" of a useless troll.
NO, every one of your comments is too long. Always. -1 is almost automatic on that point alone
There hasn't been much substance to your comments over the last six months, which almost would garner and automatic minus one from me but a) I'm not impressed by the up/down here and b) a red arrow from me to you doesn't begin to express how disappointed I am that you make bogus comments (humour is always a good straw) where you are capable of so much more. This is hardly the time for jokes.
To wit this comment of yours. So if you have a point to pick with RM let's hear it.
-1
I picked it: his points can be more succint. My comments: true, have to agree. Mostly I'm doing math on the markets and mostly there's nothing new in the math to report so... I'm not. I could throw up some scatterplots but they seem to offer nothing new in the last 18 months really. I'll throw in some of the equations I've been watching lately.
HVU1/20.15 x SPY = 231.163, currently reading in at 229.036
JJC(7/6)/(Cu-0.05)=111/5
300=Gold / silver0.5, 2014 oct to 2015 jan
345 = WTI2 / HOU, currently reading in at 349.758
silver 2.994 / USLV=215, currently reading in at 226.430 , + 15 per 4 months time decay to the ETF
Silver 2.38 / AGQ=19, 19.518 currently
Silver 1.989 / HZU=60, 64.147 currently, some time decay there too
Radical Paragraphuana could shorten up his comments and still make the same points. They're booklets.
The markets are a joke, the laws are a joke, the media is a joke - how is this not a time for jokes? Some would criticize Nero for fiddling while Rome burned but I say - at least he ensured people had a soundtrack to go with the mayhem.
Touche, fine reply Meelion, thanks. It's interesting that you bring up math because I read Radical's comments as though he's solving an equation. I'm nots good with maffs but I'm fairly good with music...
I am disappointed that so many here with much better commenting skills than I seemed to disappear into the woodwork following the final release of AR5. Flak quit posting as did Cougar; you, Davey Jones, and Jack Burton commented on everything but; etc. Not that I'm deterred from talking about AR5 and Paris but I'm disappointed that so many more knowledgeable people here suddenly seemed to get tight-lipped. I appreciate that I'm late to the party and ya'll have hammered until your fingers bleed, but this seems like the wrong time to NOT talk about AR5/CMP11.
Your perry about the jokes did make me chuckle, thanks!
p.s. I did honestly try but not much luck so perhaps you'd be willing to help me: I often see articles talking about Xmillions of barrels of oil here and Y millions there. What I was trying to figure out is, on average, how many barrels would it take to make a gigaton of CO2?
p.p.s. Drove my Dad down last fall for his 60th reunion, 'Engineering Chemistry' was a subgroup back in the day. My Mom wasn't up to it. She was a Ban Righ girl and they were married in Theological Hall/chapel in '55.
"What I was trying to figure out is, on average, how many barrels would it take to make a gigaton of CO2?"
I guess that depends on how you use it. Heating oil? Gasoline? Plastic? Running a lot of generators vs cars vs trucks?
"but this seems like the wrong time to NOT talk about AR5/CMP11."
What difference will it make to how I live my life? I make my own decisions to be less wasteful and no one else will do what I do if it loses them money, be it corporate profits or tax revenues, no one cares who/what I vote for.
Largely what concerns me is food production, how much I can produce on my own, storage of safe money, my ability to get to any locale I need to with minimal interference/danger, issues of personal safety and on-going work. Like if I will continue to have work & therefore wages.
When it comes to climate change I could be wrong but I sense it's too late to reverse it. It's time to adapt so I will.
Reading between the lines of the AR5, one basically gets the same message. It's too late to prevent some impacts of warming and we are going to have to adapt to those, but, failing to act aggressively at this point (three minutes to midnight) sets the stage for the possibility of catastrophe as in the 6th mass extinction. When you listen to what Pauchari said about mitigation (it is a high speed train that is leaving the station and all of global society has to get on board"), and Jarraud (30 years from now decision makeers at all levels can be held accountable), what Evo Morales said in Peru at COP20/CMP10, or even what's coming out of the Vatican just last week (Paris may be our last effective opportunity...) it should become apparent that we are truly at a turning point / ~final decision. If we can't pull it off in Paris we'd likely have to wait for AR6 ~2020 which would likely be a pretty grim report.
I gave up the industrial processing precious metals assay & refining business and went farming (my family thought I was crazy) because of what I understood about global warming 25 years ago. It can make a huge difference in one's life. Unfortunately in my naivety I came to appreciate the industrial nature of agriculture too.
As one person that has benefited hugely from industry that has contributed to AGW, I feel a sense of responsibility to at least TALK about what's going on a such a crucial point in human history.
p.s. - Was wondering just in a general sense of burning the oil
http://arstechnica.com/science/2015/05/bias-in-satellite-measurements-hi...
So apparently drift in measurements means that sea level was read as being higher than it was, meaning correcting for the drift and having lower levels in the 1990's also means that getting to the current levels is a faster rate of sea level rise than previously thought. Details inside on measurements, error bars, specific sensors & satellites at fault, method/reason for correction, etc.
Didn't even read the article. The drive for a cashless society is to crush the underground economy. Evasion of taxes will be impossible.
The IRS confiscates liquid assets when you don't pay your taxes. If you can't take your money out of the bank, then government has access to it.
From an IRS lawyer:
In 2009, the IRS made 581 seizures of “hard” assets such as houses, cars, and other personal property. By comparison, in the same year the IRS sent out almost 3,500,000 levies on “soft” assets, such as bank accounts and wages.
This is a red herring bullshit article that does not disclose the truth.
How funny that I got 4 thumbs down without a single word to refute what I posted. I'm sure that I will double that, just because I wrote these two sentences. But not a peep from the "experienced" zerohedge crowd to prove otherwise.
Excellent comment from 1033eruth, because it provides real data leading to a simple ratio describing behavior.
The ratio is 6000:1 for soft/hard assets. This indicates the likelihood of confiscation of physical assets such as gold and silver coins, that is, very unlikely. Actually the ratio is even more extreme than that, because real estate and automobiles have official registration certificates (titles) keyed to uniquely identifiable objects, which is not true for example with a 1913 gold Eagle coin.
It's the usual needle in a haystack problem. The authorities need to uniquely identify the asset as belonging to one particular person out of millions (or worldwide, billions) of individuals. And even so, they make mistakes, usually called "identity theft" where the id number points to the wrong person or asset.
wait... they can't just sweep home to home looking for terrorists and take anything they damn well please and shoot anyone who refuses and later file that under "stopped a terrorist"? Makes it a lot easier when you're looking for hay in a haystack and don't care which haystack.
I gave U 1 up, for the Gipper. AND recognizing that the article did not disclose the truth.
There will ALWAYS be barter.
