Swiss Stock Market Collapses Instantaneously On 5th Anniversary Of Flash-Crash

Tyler Durden's picture

It's deja vu all over again...who are 'they' going to blame for this one?

The "event" halted the entire Swiss Market for 3 minutes. And this was followed by an outage in Stoxx exchange data delivery this morning.

Not sure how many people remember this, but Clif High of halfpasthuman.com had called this date and event precisely. Totally weird.

He had even called the Betrayus scandal.

As for this blame canard, someone blessed with a reasonable amount melanin for sure.

And definitely not blue-eyed.

Contemporary capitalists have issues with racial apartheid, because it denies them access to skilled workers who have lower costs than equally skilled laborers from more local or regional workforces. Indeed, neoliberal capitalists no longer want the stigma of racism on them, because they have moved on to a new paradigm that enables them to exploit all workers for profit without showing discrimination based on a person's national origin, ethnicity, color, religion, disability, gender, etc.

But is this progress?

Wed, 05/06/2015 - 11:53 | 6065980 Ghordius
Ghordius's picture

@Eirik Magnus Larssen

since I see politics in a three-dimensional tug-of-war between conservatives, liberals and socialists...

progress is usually away from the conservative towards either liberalism or socialism

the cartoonish liberal capitalist does not care who is exploited, just for return on capital

the cartoonish socialist does not care who is saved from exploitation, and then often exploited in a socialist manner afterwards

the only one that "discriminates", which, btw, even means to open a door for a lady, is the hated, hated conservative

he is the guy that discriminates his children before other people's children, and the children of his race before the other races, and the children of his country before the other countries, and of course treats women the way he thinks works best instead of listening to what they say it's best, even if it does utterly not make sense to him

not that I am that strongly conservative myself (though in contrast to your position... well), but yes, this, imho, would be the conservative answer to your question: "progress" is among liberals and socialists, against conservatives

both sides, when they exploit, tend to be good "equal opportunity exploiters"

the good oldfashioned patriarchal entrepreneur, for example, prefers to pay fathers more, and have them to keep their wifes at home, and care for a better next generation. highly discriminatory in gender. he also is very concerned that his country has the best education, for all children of "his own"

note that I used very often the word children. patriarchalism, after all, is all about concerns of fathers versus children... including womenfolk, of course! in the next step versus progress, this might become "ageism", and a clear indication that I would be discriminating versus older or younger people, where I would have to say "individuals" and not care about their age, or adapt my treatment according to their age

;-)bless you, the world needs people like you. just not too many, and too totalitarian, too boot. more heart, less convictions, would be my advice)
