NBC Confirms Obama Lied About Bin Laden Raid

Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Samuel Hersh claimed yesterday that the Obama administration lied to the American people about certain aspects aspects of the 2011 raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. According to Hersh, the United States did not act alone when Navy SEALs were sent to capture or kill the world’s most wanted terrorist. The real story, according to the report, is that members of Pakistani intelligence services were privy to the raid months before it happened and that it was a “walk-in” Pakistani intelligence officer who gave up the location of Bin Laden rather than a CIA operation that tracked him down by following various couriers. Further, it has been claimed that Bin Laden was not buried at sea the way the Obama administration said, but rather, his limbs were simply thrown from the helicopter after the mission (suggesting that some portion of his body, perhaps his head, were retained for posterity’s sake).
It’s a markedly different story than the one President Obama told on the night he announced Bin Laden’s death. In that nationally televised speech the President took credit for ordering the raid and made it clear it was a unilateral action involving only American assets.
The Obama administration has spent the last 24 hours working to discredit the story. Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said the report from Hersh was “largely a fabrication” with “too many inaccuracies.” The White House says the Hersh’s investigation is riddled with inaccuracies.
But according to NBC News, which has reportedly been conducting their own investigation for the last several years, Hersh’s claims aren’t that inaccurate after all.
Two intelligence sources tell NBC News that the year before the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden, a “walk in” asset from Pakistani intelligence told the CIA where the most wanted man in the world was hiding – and these two sources plus a third say that the Pakistani government knew where bin Laden was hiding all along.
The U.S. government has always characterized the heroic raid by Seal Team Six that killed bin Laden as a unilateral U.S. operation, and has maintained that the CIA found him by tracking couriers to his walled complex in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
The new revelations do not necessarily cast doubt on the overall narrative that the White House began circulating within hours of the May 2011 operation. The official story about how bin Laden was found was constructed in a way that protected the identity and existence of the asset, who also knew who inside the Pakistani government was aware of the Pakistani intelligence agency’s operation to hide bin Laden, according to a special operations officer with prior knowledge of the bin Laden mission. The official story focused on a long hunt for bin Laden’s presumed courier, Ahmed al-Kuwaiti.

The NBC News sources who confirm that a Pakistani intelligence official became a “walk in” asset include the special operations officer and a CIA officer who had served in Pakistan. These two sources and a third source, a very senior former U.S. intelligence official, also say that elements of the ISI were aware of bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad. The former official was emphatic about the ISI’s awareness, saying twice, “They knew.”

In my mind, the most likely scenario is the Pakistan was giving refuge to bin Laden. The longer the WoT lasted, the longer they got US goodies. He was likely NOT a prisoner of the Pakistan government, but rather, a protected asset. The US recieved a walk-in concerning Laden's where-abouts. It took a long time to confirm this, but once confirmed, relations between the US and Pakistan went south real fast. Once the US gave Pakistan proof they knew bin Laden was under their protection, they had to go along with the raid to kill him. There was a brief "fire fight" at the compound, but whether bin Laden grabbed a gun, who really cares. As far as the body being ripped apart by gun fire, that's ludicrous. It really is. And the remain's? Burined at sea or not, who cares. He's gone.

Yes Pakistan has Dyalisis capabilities. It's not really practical if OBL is on the run to be hooked up to a machine. The farce that we went to Afghanistan to search for OBL is still very strong. The reality is that the opium trade was disrupted by the Taliban. We definietly didn't go there to protect ancient artifacts or exact revenge on the perpetrator of 9/11. Our troops are stationed in opium fields, to perpetuate a soft war against all mankind, the global drug trade. Why do you think our puppet Karzai was installed? He's the brother of the biggest drug dealer. All this about OBL is a side show, he was always an asset in social enginnering just like the latest boogy man.

I am sorry for writing that fist post so esoterically. The Bhutto family and the British empire go way back (Grandpa was an OBE when respectable clubs on Pall Mall would have wanted anyone from Lakarna to use the servants' entrance), and Benazir was probably the CIA's best hope of "managing" the relationship with Pakistan and it's 200 million potential backstabbers. So I find it very hard to believe to they would have cut in the line to take her out, or countenanced any allies doing so. I also find it quite reasonable to believe that her uncle Mumtaz, who isn't like a feudal lord, but actually is a feudal lord, actually knew OBL's new address before OBL did (regardless of how many days after 9/11 OBL decided to catch the TV version instead of sticking around for the live version of America's Military Idols).
Drugs are important to US intervention in Afghanistan, but drugs have a very high level of substitutability. The drug trade (in general) bolsters the MIC and Prison State Public Expenditures. The trade supports Narco-Dollar recycling through HSBC et al as well as provides repositories for all those FRN counterfeits overseas. Lastly, the drug trade helps bankroll Foggy Bottom's BFFs in the closet (Noriega, Thaksin, and the lot) - hence all the problems Khun Sa had when trying to cut the middle men and sell directly to Uncle Sam. So if Afghanistan or heroin didn't work out it, there would have a been substitutions (geographically and/or chemically)
But Afghanistan was and is a lot more than just drugs. To achieve major US mobilization certain interests have to come to a consensus - often with certain parties seeking to achieve an outcome and other parties seeking to prevent an outcome. So the junkies wanted spice to flow, the old timers ('79) and neocons wanted their "stepping stone" to Iran, the Pentagram was similarly trying to inscribe its favorite shape along the Russian frontier as relations with Pakistan deteriorated, the energy and raw materials part of the MIC wanted to cock block the Chinese precursor to the New Silk Road, since the prevailing winds from both Iran and the Caspian must be westward (and the last couple undeclared wars were indecisive), and the defense contractors were getting sick of being cock blocked by the Pressler Amendment for billions in sales, which was permanently waived within 60 days of 9/11/01. So all the parties at the table got their "fair share" and GI Joe wound up pulling poppy protection duty, because not even 'Murican Generals are dumb enough to not only start a land war in the Asian Graveyard of Empires, but to march in and offer to on take any and comers. Just like Iraq, Afghanistan wasn't a coalition of the willing, but a coalition of the bribed.
As to OBL, I never understood how serious people could believe that he was interested in holding territory or engaging in pitched battles with the US, or that the border with Pakistan could ever be secured (did the Pentgram miss all his early videos and never pull out an atlas of Asia), but I guess the even serious people were TV junkies who were mesmerized by the expensive display turning rocks big into small rocks, or perhaps it is karmic justice that Gary Dahl penned the ultimate dumbing down of Edward Bernays while US soldiers played the ultimate scaling up of My Pet Rock.

If you completely remove the "drugs" from the equation (i.e. assume there had never even been a drug trade in Afghanistan) the war would still have happened IN AFGHANISTAN, so "drugs" cannot be the cause. Whereas the catalyst of 9/11 had to happen (regardless of the exact split between active and passive US support). At the time (2000-2001)... there was the original dot com bubble bursting, there was about to be a serious housing correction, interest rates were rising, the MICs allowance was being spent elsewhere (since they never actually cut spending), and US political capital and influence was waning worldwide, despite the progress of the globalist banker march toward regulatory capture and pure corporatism- so something had to happen, or be made to happen.
Another approach would be to name names and look at specific players on the field. Dick Armitage was at least as responsible for the clusterfuck in Afghanistan as Paul Bremmer was in Iraq. Admittedly Dick actually (ONCE) made the correct and hard choice at a moment that mattered. However, threatening to declare Pakistan to be part of the Axis of Evil and bomb the Pakistani Military, ISI, and ruling elite (instead of just innocent civilians) ensured that no one in Rawalpindi sent Langley an invitation to OBL's house warming party a few weeks later, and instead- for all we know Pakistan waited until OBL was a literal has been before deciding to monetize him (although OBL's ASSet price probably would have been lower if they waited until after the US election).
But how does one accurately characterize and quantify Dick's motivations in the War on Terror? A chapter in a book or even an entire book would be a gross oversimplification. I could mathematically oversimplify him to what % of his relativley large contribution is due to being a neocon and what % is due to being a '79er - watching his buddies in Tehran be figuratively burned on TV, while watching his good friend in Beirut be literally burned by Tehran on VHS (the exact torture methods used on WF Buckley are irrelevant in the mathematical version and a distraction in the English version). Then there's the issue that Armitage is a chosenite. Not like Joo chosenite, but literally chosen by the proteges of the Dulles brothers to be fellow traveler, which demands loyalty to cause and institutions up to and including sacrificing all his Jewish neocon buddies in pursuit of Progress!. Further complicating the math is that we simply don't know what favors he was doing for his fellow travelers while in SE Asia in the 70's (both in public and private "service"). There could actually be some classified paper trail tying Dick to the US government's active and passive support of the drug trade in East Asia, which if it ever came to light would on balance dumb down the conversation about the US government's active and passive support of the drug trade in Central Asia, and the Axis of Really Evil MoFos that exercise obscene power over the people who live on this planet.

I don't mean to overstate the heroin aspect of the war, but $200B in annual revenue for black ops budgets is a big deal. The Taliban banned planting poppies in July 2000 and this was a huge threat to TPTB. The CIA (just a front group for their real masters) is running all of the global drug trade and accoridng to Geroge Tenet the CIA directed the Afghan invasion rather than the pentagon.
Another important aspect is the sacrifice of American blood and treasure in order to misdirect the US anger over 9/11 to further demoralize and bankrupt the country mentally / physically / spiritually. The Iraq & Afghanistan (not to mention the seven other countries we have bombed in the last decade) boondoggles have also served to destroy the image of the US on a global stage.

But how much of that $200B was revenue to the CIA, and what percent of total unofficial CIA funding does whatever they actually received from the drug business represent? It's hard enough to do correct cost allocation with publicly traded diversified multinationals (i.e Starbucks and its global cost accounting/tax avoidance fraud)
The CIA has a diversified portfolio of investments. The sexy drug stuff and the momo Google stuff get all the attention, but the CIA has disclosed that they've also been in the shipping business, the airline business, the arms business, the construction business, the banking business, and that they have taken "payday loans" from the ESF to finance short term liquidity needs, among others. Unlike other government agencies that operate as perpetual cost centers, in order for a CIA front to be effective an investment also needs to be profitable. BCCI didn't blow up until Afganistan I ended, but what repalced it? Riggs might not have collapsed until well after 9/11, but Riggs was no where near big enough or "multinational" enough to meet CIA needs (part of the answer is most likely HSBC and another part is almost certainly JPM, but those two might not even be in the CIA's top 5).
So back to opiates for the masses in the 1980's, perhaps the CIA collected some money through the spawn of Air America, they most certainly took a cut from BCCI, but with BCCI they not only could skim transaction fees on opium sales, but also the arms transactions which were already marked up to enrich interests in Egypt, Morocco and elsewhere. The mujahadeen's business was to fight the Russians (and for certain mujahadeen to enrich themselves and fiance their fiefdoms), to cover that expense, their revenues included growing opium, collecting faith-based "charity" worldwide but particularly from the Gulf States, they received funding from Uncle Sam courtesy of Brezinski, Charlie Wilson, et al. Much of these revenues were promptly used to buy arms (their single largest budget expense). So there is the CIA getting paid six ways from Sunday, and the ISI and various elite interests in Pakistan were paid right along side the CIA and also by the CIA. Fast forward a decade to Afganistan II, I am sure the CIA's repertoire has expanded and this time they had the added advantage of US troops on the ground to serve their private interests in addition to the troop's DoD duties. So I am not in any implying that the CIA did not make fucktons of money under Bush II & Obama in Afganistan, but I think the drugs are getting sexed up in the analysis and only part of the larger picture.
I've mentioned Afghan opium in the 80's, but the CIA was also involved in Burmese and Thai opium in the 80's. When and how exactly the CIA got involved in South American cocaine is subject to debate, but that was actually a larger industry than opium, so it's all a question of how many hooks they had in, and given the large number of regimes that needed changing or propping up in South and Central America back then, my suspicion would be a quite few, even if my personal bias is that the CIA was less involved after the drugs crossed the US border that certain US politicians and activists like to allege.
Two of the big drivers of the 1990's were the tech boom and rise of global universal banks and integrated cross border finance. We know the CIA was into Google, and one of the guys who got me into banking was actually on the board of "a US company" that was developing offensive cyber-WMD long before anyone ever heard of Stuxnet, and the investors in that company probably saw the value of their .gov contracts explode after 9/11.
In the 2000's investments in oil and anything "war on terror" paid off big. Skipping the former for a moment, when an "ex-"CIA employee sets up a "private" business that receives public contracts there is simply no way the congress critters or IRS are every going to know the "truth" at least with DoD when you sell them a $500 hammer, you get to pocket the whole $500 (regardless of whether it was a really well engineered hammer or a cheap Chicom import).
Oil. The industry is at least as opaque as the drug industry, and the dollar amounts are much much bigger. Before Riggs bank got swallowed by ING, they really only had 2 customers that mattered, 1) the CIA and 2) President Obiang of Equatorial Guinea. The Wonga Coup is interesting. My suspicion is that the CIA screwed MI6 and BP to protect Exxon and Hess (No one ever seems to ask what the CIA actually got out of MI6 and BP back in the 50's for their assistance in Tehran. Mi6 was interested in protecting their waning international influence and a key multinational, but the primary concern of of the USSA was actually the USSR, which of course doesn't rule out any quid pro quo.) Anyway if the CIA did screw MI6 and BP, they could then seek a "gratuity" or quid pro quo from either Exxon or President Obiang. The beauty of oil concession contracts is that any revenue sharing can deducted before the revenues hits the beneficiaries books and no one ever cross references all the parties' books. This has been going for over 100 years since Gulbenkian earned the title of Mr. 5%. The Rothschilds were playing this influence skim in Russia before they switched tactics when Khodorkovsky offered them a fuck ton of Yukos stock for pennies on the dollar. And the fact is that both legitimate deal makers and less than legitimate deal participants sign these deals all the time with governments and oil companies ALL OVER THE WORLD.
So what now? So far this decade- water and social media/information warfare seem to be big sellers, and I'm sure the underpants gnomes of Langley are solving for that elusive step 3 as I write this.

It is pretty obvious, where I'm sitting, that she meant to say "Omar Sheikh, the man who murdered Daniel Pearl" (that being the only way the average member of a Western audience watching the show would recognize the name "Omar Saeed Sheikh", whether accurate or not). It was most likely a slip of the tongue.
She had, just two minutes earlier, mentioned Hamza bin Laden, so the "bin Laden" name was definitely on her mind. The interviewer seemed to agree that it was a slip of the tongue, as indicated by the fact that he didn't bother to stop to ask for any details on what would have been a massively groundbreaking story, if the statement was intentional.
Benazir (someone I respected, despite her flaws -- you should see Bhutto the movie if you haven't) also repeatedly referred to bin Laden as alive in the months leading up to that interview (in August, September and October of 2007, the Frost interview was in November 2, 2007). But Omar Saeed Sheikh has been in prison since 2002, so it's hard to understand how she'd have blamed him.
Far more importantly, she referred to bin Laden as alive AFTER the Frost interview (e.g., in an interview on November 9, 2007, and another on November 13, 2007), again, without explanation or fanfare.
This is yet another example of tr00fers insisting on accepting one claim as gospel truth, since it supports their viewpoint, while dismissing multiple other claims by the same person, before and after, that serve as evidence against their position.
Why are you so prepared to accept that specific claim, and so eager to dismiss all of the others? There is a perfectly reasonable explanation for her one anomalous statement, which, if intentional, was made with inexplicably no fanfare whatsoever. What is your similarly reasonable explanation that explains all of her contradictory statements? Granted, you might have simply been unaware of her other statements...

The term "9/11 Truther" is somewhat obnoxious. Imagine if suddenly everyone who defended theories of authoritarian governance suddenly started referring to themselves as Political Truthers. It would be really irritating to those who happen to hold different opinions. Especially to those who found themselves surrounded (anecdotally) by self-designated "Truthers" who were rarely even vaguely familiar with evidence that undermined their pet theory.
Obviously I've met some responsible, well-read Truthers too. It's just that I've had such an annoying experience dealing with the majority of those I've met.
It is challenging to find a term that doesn't offend someone, and that lacks qualitative connotation (negative or positive) and that is still brief. For example, some folks object to my use of "9/11 conspiracy theorist", which is somewhat neutral but I suppose has negative cultural connotations. I could write "Those Who Doubt the Official Story", but I think you get my meaning.
I suppose 9/11 Researcher would work, I'll try to remember to use that going forward!

When the BCCI investigation reached closer to President Geo. H.W. Bush's White House back in the late '80s, early '90s, Bush appointed Robert Mueller III to be the chief of the DOJ's Criminal Division to manage the BCCI probe --- or more accurately, to deflect it away from the Bush administration and narrow the scope of the investigation.
Four days prior to 9/11/01, President Geo. W. Bush appoints Robert Mueller III to be director of the FBI -- perfect timing and what a pedigree Mueller possesses.*
One day prior to 9/11/01, the Pentagon's comptroller announces that $2.3 trillion cannot be accounted for.**
Six to seven hours prior to the events of that 9/11 morning, sometime between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM (EST) a group email is transmitted to the DIA's financial management staff to attend an emergency meeting that very morning at their Pentagon offices --- located at the Pentagon's west wall. One staff member will fortuitously oversleep, viewing the email late and consequently arrive late -- just in time to view from afar the plane crashing into the super-reinforced west wall, severely injuring or killing almost the entire financial management group of the DIA, and those computer systems involved with discovering said missing funds; apparently data backups aren't the order of the day?
That very same morning on 9/11/01, the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) ops center would be evacuated due to an exercise simulating an attack by suicide aircraft flying into that facility. (Sound vaguely familiar?) Therefore, no one was on hand to manually task their recon satellites on the airspace above NYC and the Pentagon.
Thanks to further expansion of the Web over the Internet (2003 - 2005), cached pages of dramatically increased data transmission and EFTs, originating from three firms residing in the two WTC towers to offshore locations, could be accessed.
Shortly after 9/2001, in early 2002, an explosive growth occurs in offshore hedge funds.
Background research on those unfortunate passengers aboard the involved airliners (victims who were certain to die that day) indicated that some of the pax fall into three unique groups, along with three unique individuals aboard.

Some time prior to 9/11/01, a financial news announcement would explain an investment by AIG in the Blackstone Group (source document of transaction, along with hard copy source documents of thousands of ongoing SEC investigations resided in the destroyed WTC Building 7 – no source docs, case closed!). During the week prior to 9/11/01, the fiber optic installation firm, EurekaGGN, installed dark fiber in the top floors of the two WTC towers (they had the contract for cabling the entire WTC), utilizing a method to pump the fiber optical cables through existing HVAC vents running beneath each floor.

Technical details not widely known: two of the four airliners involved didn’t appear on the FAA Flight Registry which logs all commercial flights, per standard procedure, as they were reserved as DoD Special Charters, meaning that each plane must seat those reserved for DoD personnel, and must depart at the schedule time, but any remaining seats may be filled commercially.
Aircraft pointedly flew to shadow zones – where radar coverage was obscured due to topography and ARTCC limitations – where the transponders were then powered down – normally, they would have triggered ARTCC radar indicators. (Highly doubtful those Saudi Arabian hijacker cutouts would have known these recondite details?); and recovered black box data, obtained through FOIA requests, give no indication of any hijacking taking place (and yes, there does exist a governmental database of black box hijacking data for comparison purposes).
There were over 1,000 other “coincidences” which took place that morning, all tracking back to the five principal players.Recap: $2.3 trillion announced unaccounted, and DIA’s financial management group is almost entirely wiped out, along with involved computer systems, dramatically increased data transmissions and EFTs out of WTC towers in preceding 12 hours, and people and computer systems involved are killed and destroyed, with explosive growth in offshore hedge funds occurring shortly thereafter.
Veritas Capital, purchaser and owner of former Raytheon subsidiary which employed those remote piloting hardware and software developers and subcontractors aboard some of those airliners involved in 9/11, and Veritas Capital makes some incredibly prescient defense industry investments shortly prior to 9/11/01.
[Containment process: Immediately after the first Anthrax attack, DynCorp's Dynport Vaccine Company was awarded an Anthrax government contract -- therefore any possible future investigation would logically turn up Anthrax. Throw into your mix that the WTC towers were designed to withstand a 707 crashing into the buildings with a full complement of fuel onboard and add to that the amount of structural redundancies which were going to keep the frame of these buildings practically intact in all but a direct nuclear attack (at least that's what we were taught at that lil' ole tech college up the road from Zuck's old haunts on the Charles) and that leaves a few more Q's to be critically investigated.
Further to your point - in place STEEL frame column three feet thick against incoming ALUMINUM airframe - "less than one inch thick" means the plane frame gives way not the building structure especially the wings should not have penetrated the building - impossible
