S&P 500 Hits Record Above December "Fat Finger" High
December 18th 2014 saw SPY - the S&P 500 ETF - suddenly spike to 212.97 (on no news whatsoever).
We have now taken out that "fat finger" peak.

Back in the good old days, this was known as "the fix is in". Things like volatility are dangerous and so must be suppressed....
UVXY / VXX / etc. have made/lost people a lot of money.
Volume pathetic even by recent standards, needed tons of VIX to get 15 DOW points, seems more machines taking advantage of typical pre-FOMC steppin to the sidelines by daily traders, rather than a renewed bull push (i.e., likely to fade by 1:45 Wed), but you never know ....

The Dow and the S&P 500 are both forming ending diagonal triangles. Once complete, an ending diagonal collapses to its base in an almost vertical fashion, We are within days of a crash as this DJIA chart indicates...

Can we stop using "Fat Finger" please, we all know it's contrived activity and an excuse.
Also "whale", "rogue", "mistake" and "weather" are equally bad excuses, people who are not even in the markets understand as rather lame and unbelievable.
