Republicans, Democrats and Independents ALL Hate NSA Spying … Think the Patriot Act Should NOT Be Reauthorized

George Washington's picture

A poll released today shows that Americans across the political spectrum hate the Patriot Act and NSA spying.

The bipartisan polling team – made up of Global Strategy Group and G Public Strategies – found (edited for readability):

  • By nearly a 2:1 margin (60% modify, 34% preserve), Americans believe the Patriot Act should not be reauthorized in its current form. With broad, bipartisan support across all ages, ideologies and political parties, voters are rejecting the argument that the Patriot Act should be preserved with no changes because of potential terrorist threats. Millennials (65% modify) and Independent men (75% modify), in particular, are driving the push for modification to limit government surveillance.
  • By more than 4:1 (82% concerned, 18% not concerned), voters find it concerning that the United States government is collecting and storing the personal information of Americans, including 31% who are extremely concerned and 25% who are very concerned.
  • Over three quarters of voters found four different examples of government spying personally concerning to them. The government accessing personal communications, information or records without a judge’s permission (83%) and using that information for things other than stopping terrorist attacks (83%) were the two most concerning examples to voters.
  • Specific arguments made in favor of adding more protections for Americans around privacy, also proved to be convincing to voters. 84% of voters said it was a convincing argument that local police and the FBI should have a warrant to search phone and email records, further confirming that Americans believe that individual privacy rights should be more strongly protected. Additionally, 81% of voters were convinced more protections were needed on account of companies providing loopholes in their services to make surveillance easier for the government.

This jibes with previous polls showing that Americans:

Its such a nice tool. Can I try it out? My tax dollars paid for it.

There is only one way this gets fixed. Double dog pinky promisses wont cut it. Access to this tool in the hands of a third party. Then we might know what we are talking about. The spying is just a tiny fraction of what this tool is for. What they do with the info is the bigger issue. On that score we dont know jack.

Armed revolution? Hahahahahahaha. False flag is far more likely.

At no point in human history has a government or ruling body willingly relenquished power like this.  Even if CONgress passes it, do you really think the NSA will cease and desist?

It will just go back to being a black project, which it was inteded to be all this time.  Kabuki theater at it's finest.

But how will Israel get the raw data on every American politician, federal agent, and person who objects to war crimes, aggression an false flag even when the Jooish Stadt does it?

Oh, don't worry, they own both parties, especially the GOP, and built back doors into the nsa spy web, just like they did certain flight control systems.

Of course, to criticize the fact that, per Jewish news sources, Jews contribute around half, or more, of private donations, to both parties, as, ADL claims notwithstanding, a healthy minority, at least, of Jews, seek to use American treasure and/or blood to defend Israel, no matter what it does, you're an "anti-Semite"  -which is worse than a person who, say, drops white phosphorus on crowds of women and children, or bombs schools, or shoots up ambulances, or attacks Palestinian pregnant women.

Of course, while every Hamas rocket landing in an empty field gets a front page story at the Times, the IDF attack it was a response to buried in the story, if there at all, virtually no settler, or IDF attack on Palestinian children, or Christian sites, gets covered at all.

Of course, noting that Jews are heavily over-represented in the news media in terms of ownership and management [last I checked, 3 of the major 5 news directors - abc.cbs.nbc.cnn.fox - and fox is owned by Murdoch who is an ultra-zionist and likely jewish on his mom's side....] is also "anti-Semitic"

Ditto Hollywood, which has been heavily Jewish for DECADES - meaning an active effort to keep 97.5% out of top leadership positions in controversion of federal law, and the 'diversity' Jews as a group promote in all other avenues, except top school admissions, of course.

Israel has too much power and influence in government, media, and society as a whole because Jews as a group do.

Period.   I advocate only talking about that power, with empirical facts, in the face of cries of "anti-Semite" which is used precisely to obfuscate and preserve disproportionate Jewish wealth, power, and influence over the 97.5%.

obama sez he wants to stop the transfer of military weapons to local police departments, which anything he says automically trips the mendacity meter, i started thinking, what the hell is that bastard up to now.and it came to me, because my very own thoughts on the subject (and you can check my comments) have been supportive of local police. the local police could be, and should be a buffer between you and federal troops. just as the national guard should be considered a militia. the national guard has been federalized to a great extent (that started in Vietnam) local police however remain a buffer. in reality it probably wouldnt work that way in places like LA, but in middle america, Texas for instance, law enforcement could at some point take the side of the citizens if there is another Ruby Ridge, or Waco. obama has pushed the matter on marijuana laws, which they selectively enforce, in california for instance the local police follow the state law, so an MJ dispensary may be state legal and still get busted by the DEA. so far the feds havent made an issue of state versus federal law (also in weapons possession i think) but that day is coming and sure enough, potus wants to make sure he doesnt support your local sheriff, he has spent most of the last year turning people against white cops, now he wants to disarm those police and the sheeple are going to follow that liar too. its a shame.

The government has worked very hard to earn that distrust. One has to wonder exactly why. Is it so that the people will not be unhappy when the US government is replaced by a global/UN government? The thought is actually funny when one thinks how dysfunctional the UN is.

The Patriot Act always was a Zionist tool to crush dissent in AmeriKa after the jew coup of 9/11. War against all the Arabs in the general vicinity of israel continues to this day, no longer directly but by proxy forces. The Patriot Act helped make us an israeli colony, from America to AmeriKa.

So we lose a few freedoms, a few good men and women, a few trillion dollars down the tubes, piss a few Muslims off by turning their countries into anarchy...all a small price to pay for "securing the realm" for israel. Oded Yinon is proceeding along just as planned, dumb goy fucks share the costs meekly like the donkeys that they are. And if you are against the the Patriot Act, well then you must have something to hide.

I think that it is very telling that in the late 1800s it became illegal to report the number of jews in this country as part of a census. This is clearly odd since it is not illegal to report the numbers of any other religion or ethnic group.

What were they afraid of in the late 1800s? ... and most likely still today.

Cui bono? Who fears? Who's controllable? J.Edgar Hoover spied to control Congress, presidents and prosecutors. Hoover's FBI successor, aka Deep Throat, used spying to destroy a President. Kennedy was controlled by those who knew of his maladroit behavior. Stalin used lies by spies in his Show Trials to remove perceived enemies.

Power corrupts. Power addicts. Power is craved. Congress is dominated by its created Frankensteins. The People are cowardly sheeple.

Do you ever wonder why you should help pay to subsidize Israel, fight and send drones to far off lands, build nukes, pay for 800 military bases just because your neighbor or your 'representative' wants it?  That is taxation without representation and the knowledge that Bush, Clinton and the current droner in chief makes each taxpayer complicit in murder.

That would be like the guy living in the next town hiring a hooker and sending you the bill and you paying for it, which the US government has literally done aka secret service in Columbia and we all know the CIA does it too.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.  But if Americans are not willing to get off their dead asses and make an effort to change their government , they will just have to accept that which the elites in control hand down to them.  The Founding fathers gave the citizens of the sovereign states a method to fix or eliminate the federal government in the form of an Article V Convention of the States.  It would be managed solely by the state legislatures and any amendments to the Constitution that were ratified by the state legislatures becomes binding on the federal government.  That means anything, up to and including dissolution of Washington, D.C. could be considered.  It is clearly time to try this method in a last ditch attempt to save America.  But, that will still require Americans to push their state legislators to call a convention.  Otherwise, learn to accept the scraps that are thrown to you.

Over the years most people I've talked to who favor it don't actually know what it says. Almost all of the terrorist plots that have been stopped has been due to old fashioned investigation, the bad guys know the 'net is monitored and work around it. Meanwhile Joe Average who doesn't know what's really going on winds up being the real target and the way things are set up, all the government agencies can use it to screw you over whenever they feel like it.....

The voters are so worried.  The real business of NSA are members of congress, the Supremes and other powerful people.  Then all of a sudden we find that a clear fine for not getting health insurance is now a tax.  CON-gress voting for a super secret trade agreement.  Hey congressman, do you remember talking to that little girl?  We have photoshopped it a bit but there you are.  NSA doesn't really gives that much of a damn what you or I do because though we think we are important, NSA is after bigger fish to toss out of the water unless they tow the line.  Does anyone think the J. Edgar Hoover mentality has gone anywhere but gotten more capable of blackmail?

Taking a survey about the Patriat Act is like pissing in your dark suit pants.  You get a nice warm feeling but nobody notices.

As horrid as that biker shoot out was in Waco, it also puts .gov on alert as the powers that be who wish to enslave and deprive their fellow humans have to realize there are those who will fight back, have weapons and no side will escape unharmed.

Waco is fitting as that is where .gov in Clinton's regime murdered a bunch of kids, burned them to death as they were running out of 'time'.  FBI and DEA were involved in that tragedy.

Someone else posted the same thought elsewhere - but 250 plus 'bikers' in a 'shoot out'. Only 8 killed in a close quarter shoot out? I'm sorry - that doesn't make sense. The assorted non firearm weapons - ridiculous. FFS - that is Texas - everyone is armed and can aim. Just saying....
