This Is How The Clowns At The DEA Screen For Drug Dealers On Amtrak

It’s been a rough couple of years for the DEA. We’ve heard about the agents who got caught having orgies with prostitutes, paid for by both drug cartels and the U.S. taxpayer. We’ve heard about the agents who wrongly locked up a California student and forgot about him for days, forcing him to drink his own urine for survival. Most recently, we heard about the DEA agent who robbed a man of his life’s savings via civil asset forfeiture as he travelled from Michigan to Los Angeles on Amtrak to start a music company.
Unsurprisingly, what happened to the man on Amtrak appears to be a regular occurrence, as DEA agents and Amtrak officials basically assume all human behavior to be deemed “suspicious.”

Of course, he wasn’t even traveling with drugs. Just another example of an ignorant clown with a badge and a license to rob you with impunity.

LOL! I remember a little adventure a long time ago. Travelled to the South Carolina in the early 1990's and a dog came sitting next to me at the airport luggage escalator - in a mini uniform..... Scared the hell out of me, but the thing is, I was working in a coffeeshop (Dutch Style) in my student time, so indeed I did smell of weed. I didn't think so, but the dog had a different opinion. Anyway, officers took me along for a questioning and a search. Very civil, polite and we actually had a bit of a laugh afterwars.
This was all long before the bizarre change in attitude since 9/11. Time really change I guess.

AMTRAK provides a lower-cost per user mile travelled (on ticket price alone), and their baggage allowance is far more generous than "low-cost" internal air travel, so might there be some incentive for the Federal authorities to "disincentivise" such cheap, but effective travel, and so "encourage" the poorer section of society to stay put?
Or, is this just "useful training" for the various Agencies, for when "things become more interesting"??

I like how .gov is totally behind the drug cultivation, importation, distribution, and price fixing, but you're a criminal if you look sideways at some uniformed jerk off in the train station.

One can dream of a future where MJ is actually legal or just decriminalized (preferably) nationwide, but I would not be one bit surprised if they shut down the "legal" states and all the medical states in some draconian fashion.

Sadly this is very true. Given a choice, I would always choose dealing with a criminal in a life-threatening confrontation, at least I would not be deemed automatically guilty for attempting to defend myself. The only difference between some cops and most criminals is their clothing.

Well that explains why I got detained once for having too little luggage. I kept asking how much luggage I should've brought. Never got an answer. Instead had to watch a smug retard chew bubblegum in my face in my face for 30 minutes, hoping I loose my nerve and do something erratic to justify escalation of the protocol.
By the way, I don't carry a phone of any kind. You can't imagine how suspicious that is in the eyes of law enforcement. In this day and age if you don't have a mobile tracking device on you at all times, you look like an escaped convict.

Riding Amtrak is suspicious in itself. I've been told by a couple of people that service is terrible, the cars are dirty and in disrepair and that they would never do it again.
Same with flying. I remember years ago when those planes were so clean and polished they would blind you in the sun. The inside was just as immaculate. Last time I was on one ( before the TSA ) the planes ranged from dirty to downright filthy. The inside smelled like vomit and most passengers didn't smell or dress much better. Never again...
The reality is that all airlines are on a "cost-cutting" mission, and interior maintenance costs. With the larger aircraft, the time available to do an interior clean is inadequate (and the cleaning staff are none too motivated), so the end result is predictable.
In the days when air travel was for the "Upper Crust" only, the standards HAD to be high; once "The Masses" became the major customer sector, standards were allowed to slide to the level of "only just acceptable", since most people tend to fly but a few times per year, and memories are short, whilst the need to "save" on the ticket price is always substantial.
