great comment.  but you're forgetting the world in which you live.  just bedeck any theory with the tinsel of excessively convoluted sub-theories (footnoted to promote the work of well-placed acamadicians who prefer to be celebrities in their doltish cliques than men of letters with integrity and ethics) and, voila!, you get medals, the right to publish books that students are forced to pay 200 a pop per and endless accolades from foppish dilettantes.
