French Unemployment Surges By Most In 7 Months To New Record High
Is it any wonder Marin Le Pen's Front National Party is a) leading in the polls, and b) pushing for an EU in/out referendum? Whatever it is that France (and/or Europe) is doing, is not working. Despite all the promises, French unemployment has risen practically non-stop for 4 years and just hit a new all-time record...
Hollande #Fail
But of course none of that matters... the CAC 40 is surging...
Or, this is how Paul Krugman summarized the ongoing disintegration of Europe in 2010:
The real lesson from Europe is actually the opposite of what conservatives claim: Europe is an economic success, and that success shows that social democracy works.
Indeed.

Better seasonally adjust that shit pronto
This is already done !
And to those number you shall add 450 000 "emplois aidés" which means useless underpaid jobs to be slave of civil servants is social welfare and 120 000 people in useless training.
In fact, the real number is not 3.5 millions but 5 millions ...
The better is that the socialist govenment says that it will nonetheless maintain exactly the same politics and that without its clever choices it would have been far worse ...
Since 6 month, our overnements has been describing the fall of the euro, of the oil price and of the interest arte as an astral conjunction but it seems it is not enough to pay for their new monthly subsidies !
This can't be. Everyone understands that socialisim is the way to full employment...

Except Hollande is the incarnation of the neoliberal "left" of western Europe. His newly passed "loi Macron" would have been more logical under Sarkozy, but no, he passed it joyfully, cirucmventing the Parliament. But I guess the French won't have any problem calling the PS "socialist" even after they reinstate child labour.
The "Loi Macron" is just a decoy.
Autorizing some bus line inside the country and shops to open 12 sundays per year will not chnage the economic trend and create relocalization !
Moreover, those tiny changes have been announced since 2013 and the laws may arrive this summer but this is not sure ... After three years of socialism, this is quite a small result.
I think there's an expression in French that says, "the more things change, the more they remain the same". Seems to apply.
Small mistake ... 6 millions, not 5 !
You can always get a non-job at the non-place that does nothing but pretend to be doing something for nothing so everybody benefits equally.
Foreward, Comrades!
Forward, Comrades, indeed. It'll be hilarious if the French vote to leave the EU; the whole scam was started by French Socialists in the first place; it's a French Project. Actually, that would be the perfect demise for the whole crack-brain scheme.
Can you imagine getting all suited up and going downtown and applying for a make beleive job to a make beleive HR person at the make beleive company - and than getting turned down for a make beleive job!!
Merde! - how soul crushing that must be (in a make beleive depression). However, you can than to a 'real' bar and get loaded and hopefully laid with cute unemployed froggette whose also killing time.
France actually makes some world class products, but they've just fucking killing thier mfg base with work regs that would make Marx blush.
Au revoir...
get id of socialism, get rid of central banks and crony capitalism. bring back free enterprise..
it is all fun and games till they start killing people
France just needs to get with the program and start lying about all their economic data like the US, Japan and UK is doing. Come Hollande, pull your head out.
Fucking austerity. Wait...
Let them eat cake.
Well the French love nothing more than the occassional riot, so summer is coming in Paris....
Like in Ferguson or in Baltimore ?
Touché.
and the both, at the same time, in september, after the summer holidays......
The Europeans actually do great riots, symbology and all. America is more along the lines of watching the world burn variety. That'll be more apparent as things continue to slide downhill. Third world America, here we come.....
Oh dear, picketty, fucketty.
But even the people that have a job...dont work...its coffee and smoke time at the cafe all day long
more bad saturn numbers like that
holland gonna need
anudder
charlie hebe dough
mossad operation
French worker - now that's one of the better fucking oxymorons I've heard in a while.
This is an urban legend. The French have a dfferent philosophy to Amercans. Work to live rather than live to work. Some of the most able people I've ever worked with have been French. Before they debased their gene pool (one third of "French" children now have one or both parents from Africa/Middle East) the French enjoyed a very high standard of living, great job security, long holidays, early retirement and generous pensions. And without major borrowings.
Such an environment is now disappearing before our eyes. I worked in Grenoble in 1994. Beautiful, glorious city. Clean, safe, wonderful dirt cheap public transpor system. Now it's like a suburb of Algiers. And Grenoble is very far from being the worst affacted city. I refer to it only because I have direct experience of it, then and now.
I find this all very surprising considering Socialism as we know is all about people being happy and getting stuff and that. Someone in a governmnet department clearly hasn't signed off enough checks for stuff. We will get to thebottom of this mark my words.
If anyone has studied French busines rules you'll know there's a handbook with such gems as you can't change to different wattage office lightbulbs without filling in some forms and having an office vote.
Of course the book is there for only one reason, to protect the large companies from smaller potential competitors.
if you haven't worked out it's all a massive conspiracy to keep those at the top AT the top and those below them, below them, then you're a bit dim.
And these political scum have the nerve to say 'Vive la France'.
Unemployment malaise has no borders or quick cure ,but i am happy that the nose in the air French are getting a heavy dose of it.
yeah but the real unemployment rate in the USA is 15% at least ! not 5% like the Fed thinks
but everything is awesome in Merica!
Yes it is. Buy moar stawks!
France the 2nd biggest EU Pony is a Basket Case mismanaged by Basket Weavers.
Ms Le Pen has been useful fodder for the BankstersCorpMedia for years and now i am hopeful she'll throw a stick of dynamite into their playpen.
Does anyone find it odd that as Marine leads the party into prominence, and potentially power, that her father, and party founder, seems to be doing all he can to undermine the operation?
Controlled opposition that lost control of his child?
Growth everywhere. BTFD

France is very much like Greece , just had more industry to start with so has further to fall
But it has lots more north african muzzies so the fall will be faster.......
Why can't the French do the same as the English? They have record employment figures. And a growing economy.
Well, to start with, they are French.
Thus ends today's lesson.
exactly, come on let's drink a cup of "café" together.......lol
Biggest difference is the Pound verus the Euro.... The Euro is killing France, along with the rest of the periphery.... If Germany were relative strength of 1 in currency, france and italy would need to be .75, with spain at .5, and portugal, greece, poland and the baltics at .3........ Who is going to buy a french refigerator, or car....
France needs to get rid of the labour laws, and allow people to work.
The red tape here is unbelievable.
Everytime you ring a government or semi government dept, you get the standard response "I don't look after that you will need to talk to "Pierre"
he's not in the office today you'll need to ring back Monday.
ring Monday no one knows whats going on, because No one has followed up or left a message for Pierre.
TUESDAY Afternoon office is shut, and everyone goes home early Friday.
35 hour week minus sick days, public holidays, leave, No fucker works.
"The real lesson from Europe is actually the opposite of what conservatives claim: Europe is an economic success, and that success shows that social democracy works."
Krugman is going to have to eat his home cooking.
This will give the French more time to express their emotions.
Bring in more immigrants to do the jobs the French won't do....
The unemployed should unionize.

More fuel for the view that the Socialist President is the French Obama. On big difference however is that Hollande loves to cherchez les femmes while Barry O'Bama mostly likes to cherchez Reggie Love's behind.
More evidence, as if any more was needed, support two eternal truths.
--Elect a socialist (either here or there) and you can predict the result.
--Krugman is an idiot.
Just came back from two weeks in Antibes. In the Orange Shop (Mobile Tels) in Antibes, was told that we decide when you have a complaint, not you!!!! Struth!!
In another shop nearby, (La Fontonne- a suburb of Antibes) my wife was buying sliced ham. The server put a new roll of ham into the slicer, and cut several slices off the joint, all of which were 100% fat!!!! My wife said, non, merci, and asked for lean. To which the server replied, en Francais of course, Je'n suis pas obligee - I am not obliged! To which my wife to the effect of, moi aussi! - me neither.
Despite that, I love France. It's culture, it's food, wine, it's Ambiance (/s), another word, as GW would say, the french don't have a word for. Along with Italy, one of the most civilised countries of the world.
