Futures Soar On Latest "Greece Fixed" Rumor; Forget To Drop On Rumor Denial
It wouldn't be the new normal without a "Greek deal imminent" rumor/headline and so after overnight China-based strength gave way to selling pressure, another twitter-based rumor of "chatter" of a Greek accord (which given yesterday's comments seems extremely unlikely anyway) sparked a malt-up in EURUSD and US Equity futures. However, as is always the case, Virtu's algos as usual forgot to sell when the official denial occurred just a few minutes later.
This appears to be the source of the rumor:

However the official denials followed quickly:

Asked if there was any substance to the rumour of a announcement of A deal between Athens and its creditors on Monday afternoon, one official said: "no" and a second one also denied any knowledge of such an announcement.
But by then the momo damage was done, and whoever needed to exit a EUR (or ES) position, had done so successfully.
And that's how you move "markets" in this day and age.

Sp500 closed last Friday at 2104. According to that chart, it has since "soared" 0.43% to 2113. :-)
Positive SP futures could go negative a few minutes after the 'real markets' open. Friday's close looked bearish. But up +7 at the moment...
EDIT: Whew! Had me worried there - it took 17 minutes to turn neg.
The S&P 500 touched a new all-time high last week, and it may do so this coming week. But time is running out for the index. If the top isn't already in, a new high this week will just about finish off the blue chips run...

It goes up and sideways till it doesn't..the whole enchilada should have already crumbled, but it hasn't..the "Dark Pool" society and the lack of "everyday" participants makes it easier for them to keep things going...a very slow burn till critical mass is reached, then only God knows what will happen after that, but it will not be pretty.

Think about how much money is printed either directly or digitally when you consider just the chemtrail program alone. Ashraf Laidi must be one of those academics with an ego inflated larger than the US debt (I do not know him - only his words); to say "don't call me scum, you scum" (worthless piece of dirt). The only truth here is we are worthless pieces of dirt, since we are made up of materials that equate to dirt and when we die, our bodies go back to those basic elements. Just saying, look at how we talk to each other and it is very sad because it is so widespread that it is pandemic within the human race it seems imo.
