Caught On Tape: Cop Pulls Gun On 2 Kids, Unleashes Profanity-Laden Tirade In Affluent Suburb

I’ll be up front with you and say that this video is disturbing.
It’s like a bucket of ice-cold water thrown in the face of the dream world that most people are walking through.
Watching riots on TV in places like Baltimore and Ferguson, it’s easy to think, “That couldn’t happen here. All that police violence only happens in poor communities.”
Guess again.
This weekend it was the safe, quiet suburb of McKinney, Texas, about 30 minutes outside of Dallas.
McKinney is no gang-infested slum; it’s an affluent bedroom community with an average household income over $96,000 according to Colliers International.
(Having grown up just a few miles away, I would add that it’s pretty sterile too, full of big-box retailers, megaplex cinemas, and chain restaurants.)
Over the weekend some local kids were having a summer pool party to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
With that many adolescents crammed together in one place, there was undoubtedly some silly teenage drama going on. And police were called to the scene.
One of them starts off almost immediately screaming profanity-laden tirades at the kids, many as young as 14.
This courageous officer’s advice to young people included such gems as “Sit your asses down,” and “Don’t make me fuckin’ run around with 30 pounds of goddamn gear on. . .”
At one point throws a girl to the ground who had apparently failed to ‘get her ass out of here’ with appropriate alacrity.
You can see him grab her neck and attempt to shove her face into the pavement.
The kids all start screaming. Two of them rush over to try and help their classmate, at which point Captain America pulls his gun out and advances menacingly towards them.
They bolt. So he turns his attention back to the girl, grabs her head once again, and screams “ON YOUR FACE!!!” as he pins her down on the ground and puts her in handcuffs.
It’s really disturbing to watch.
Had it been a parent trying to grind his kid’s face into the pavement, Child Protective Services would have immediately removed the girl from the home and the father would be rotting in jail this very moment.
But when a police officer does it, he goes on ‘leave’. And only when he’s unlucky enough to be caught on camera.
If some random stranger grabbed your child and started attacking her, you’d instantly turn into Bruce Lee and put the guy in a Kung-Fu death grip.
But when a police officer attacks your child, the government expects you to just stand around and watch.
That’s one of the most disturbing things from the video.
You’ll see there are a bunch of adults in the video milling around with their hands in their pockets while the kids get abused.
I appreciate they’re doing whatever they feel like they can do to make the best of a bad situation.
But they’ve been indoctrinated for so long that their reaction is to be obedient and submissive. They don’t interfere with ‘the law’. They know their place and they act like it.
The kids, on the other hand, are all still young enough that they haven’t totally subordinated themselves to the state. There’s still a part of them that’s free.
So when the cops get totally out of control, their instinct is to fight back.
That is, after all, our natural instinct– to be free.
We have to -learn- to be intimidated and subservient to the state. We have to learn to stand around with our hands in our pockets while our children are abused. And that learning takes place in none other than the public school system.
I checked the McKinney Independent School District’s website and found that these kids all recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning, including that part about “liberty and justice for all.”
They sing songs gushing about freedom in America. But they just got a taste of how free they really are.
Hopefully that lesson stays with them. It’s certainly more powerful that an entire semester of the mandatory civics class they have to take.
After watching the video I actually downloaded a copy of the staple civics textbook Magruder’s American Government, and found a rather prescient passage in the first chapter:
“This nation was founded by those who loved liberty and prized it above all earthly possessions.”
True statement. But that instinctive flame to be free has gone out for so many people, not only in America but across the world.
And no nation can rise again until that flame is rekindled.
The textbook continues:
“To preserve and protect [their rights and liberty], each generation must learn and understand them anew, and be willing to stand up for them when necessary.”
Perhaps that time is finally coming.

I'm no cop apologist yet I feel the same way having to deal with teenagers...and seemingly in this video female teenagers and more specifically black female teenagers. Tthat's recipe for frustration. Still, the guy obviously stepped over the line and should better handle himself.
Oh and nice to see more details about this from commentators saying it was a private party and many of these were there trespassing. How am I not surprised that
A- the writer of this article would leave that out since it doesn't fit the narrative

When you are dealing with a group of people who generally can be assumed to have low IQ, low impulse-control, and high athletic ability, you generally dont want to dramatically/emotionally escalate the level of excitement. This didnt HAVE to be a confrontation between cops and coons. The cops could have handled this very differently. A slow walk-up approach may have caused the coons to bug-out, leaving the pool party in question and eliminating any issue. A methodical approach involving 1-on-1 conversations might also have been more fruitful and avoided the escaltion/excitment chimpanzee response.
The clear and present danger of modern policing occurs when the thugcops automatically attempt to employ overwhelming force. In this scenario, that tactical handbook was worse than useless. Everyone is lucky here the kuhnpack did NOT include gang-bangers, cuz those types LIVE for hot summer shoot-outs in the hood.
Oh, and whoever hosted that pool party needs to have their head examined. When uninvited kuhns start showing up en masse, it's time to deploy the evasive countermeasures. On a hot summer day, this might include placing a case of cold malt liquor onto the sidewalk . . . 10 blocks down the street from your house. Worst case, take a flat-screen off your wall and place it next to the cold malt liqour.

LOL. I went to a black middle school. It was the worst middle school in the state at the time. The most violence, the highest failure rates, etc. We had kids driving to 8th grade because they had been held back so many times by the time they made it to 8th grade they were 16. Fights were a daily occurrence. Stabbings were frequent. Ever see what a 16 year old can do to a 13 year old in a fight? It's not pretty. That kid lost an eye (it was the style of the day to wear a series of large rings that effectively were brass knuckles).

Evidently there was a DJ tweeting out invites while playing loud f-bomb laced "music" on an adjacent property. Furthermore, the police were called in by the security on duty only after it became evident the usually sufficient respect for authority was scoffed at.
But you're right, whoever the DJ was and whoever put him up to it are the responsible parties and should be held to account too.

Lets see what would happen in any neighborhood with any racial mix of cops and teens, if:
1. The cops tell you to go home
2. You don't and instead hang around and hurl insults at the cops
3. The cop comes and grabs you to suppress you but you try several times to spin away
4. Once the cop has you on the ground a gang of other teens comes up and starts yelling and threatening the cop
The males teens eventually 'got it' -- when a cop says to sit down, you sit down, answer his questions, and go home

Agreed, but I believe there has been a broad .gov-sanctioned authorization to wield asymmetric force at the thugpig's discretion. The only real solution is to liquidate a group of pigs when they use this in an unlawful manner. Liquidate, as in leave none alive. I never gave the cops a hard time either. I was taught to "respect Authority(TM)." But they still bent me over the table and fucked me over and over again, just the same.
From what I have read about this incident, the teenagers were mostly trespassing on semi-private property-the pool belonged to a gated community which required ID access that restricted it to residents of the community. I don't know who "invited" the mob of teenagers that showed up, and apparently was climbing the fence to get in- was it a resident of the gated community? Did that person have the right to invite outsiders? However, someone in the community called the police at some point claiming that trespassers were going in over the fence, and the police responded. Could it have been handled better? Probably, but understand this- there appear to have been about 3-4 policemen present amongst 30+ teenagers, none of whom seem to be happy about being told to leave. I wouldn't have felt particularly safe myself, but would have probably just told them to vacate the pool area and simply have waited them out until they left the area in frustration. I see no reason in video to actually restrain anyone, though you are seeing only a portion of the incident, so be careful.
Your argument (coons were uninvited) is circumstantial. The elephant in the room is .gov's special treatment of niggers. Of course they are going to feel entitled, which leads to the circus we saw in the video. This does not excuse the thugpig's actions. It merely reinforces how .gov encourages the bad behavior, then justifies unlawful force based on the bad behavior.
This post is very misleading. This is a neighborhood pool for residents only. These "kids" crashed the pool, jumping over fences and destroying property and threatening others. They are not innocent and behavior like this from "kids" like this is not an isolated event.

There is a procedure to use the pool -
AFTER paying your yearly HOA dues - each homeowner can get a pool pass for the number of people in the family - plus X number of guest tags.
You take the little tag that is on a safety pin and put on your swimsuit - so the lifeguards can tell at a glance if you are allowed to be in the pool area.
We have had similar uninvited guests issues at my HOA pool - We pay close to $500 a year to get access to the pool - and when it gets so full of people from other neighborhoods that you can't even swim then that is a problem.
You can also rent the pool for special events - so if a homeowner wanted to invite some people they could have - if they would have paid the fee.
So I was on my way to pick up my guest tag.

I had shit like this happen with mostly rich white kids on the street in a $3 million plus home. Smaller grad party for the son. A few texts went out and then hundreds told hundreds of friends.
The street had about 400 kids show up. No one could get down the street. The parents, who were liberals, freaked out.
The cops showed up. The kids left peacefully.
The easy solution as I mentioned before - tell everyone to leave because 20 tow trucks are on the way and all the vehciles will be towed - no exceptions.

Mehhh- while the cop was a bit overboard and could have handled things better, this isn't enough for him to lose his job and is a ditraction. The cop had a simple request and asked the group of girls mutiple times to go across the street or get arrested. Seems pretty easy to cross the street here, bad decision on her part. After several requests, the cop goes to arrest her and she physically resists him, bad decision on her part. A group surrounds them and one guy acts like he pulls out a weapon, yet another bad decision on his part. That is why the cop pulled his gun- he thought the kid/young man had a weapon and he feared for his life. This all could have been avoided if she simply had an ounce of repect and went across the street as the cop asked. She could have been home for dinner with nothing on her record and a good story for her friends. Instead she didn't went against a simple request that didn't trample on her rights.
There are multiple examples of bad cops doing some very extreme things- this doesn't come close. Why is this getting so much attention? It's a distraction.

Yes the kids were likely wrong, but all the little girl did was talk. The cop was clearly out of control. You can't chase kids around with a gun, yelling obscenities, and manhandle some little smart ass little girl like that. The cop should be reprimanded and disciplined-maybe not fired. He made a mistake in judgment. I don't live too far from there. Dealt with cops a lot as I was a prosecutor in Dallas for 7 years. These guys are getting really poor training. Can't act like a bunch of brown shirt thugs policing by fear and intimidation. It was not justified in this case. There job is to serve and protect. City councils need to start hiring police chiefs who will start training police officers on how to deal with the public with real professionalism - especially dealing with black kids who are tired of being prison fodder for cops setting them up on hand to hand dope sales using federal grants while white kids in affluent areas are targeted far less. As someone who has lived in Brooklyn, NY, I have had my share of witnessing raves and gatherings gone bad. (Unless you are really rich, people in "public housing developments are your neighbors.) In such instances, police don't go in piecemeal. More likely 8-10 at once from at least 2 directions. In NYC there are a lot of police, and reactions are pretty quick; and they have had lots of experience dealing with such incidents. I've called 911 acouple of times when things got bad and have seen this before.
All that said, the policeman's reaction in this video was wrong. getting back to his patrol car and calling for reinforcements would have been the prudent thing to do. Maybe the local governments in Texas ought to spend a lot more money (pay taxes for it too) to have enough police around.
Teenagers -white, black, latino, etc.- don't respond well to rejection or restriction. I resented all those private beaches, reserved to residents of local communities, along the Atlantic shoreline of Long Island. Block parties are common during the summertime in NYC. And they are always crashed by outsiders -nearly always black- who come for the free food and entertainment. But every block party is also attended by two pairs of police: one patrol car at each end of the block party. The presence of that DJ and the noise he was making was a magnet for the public housing crowd. If this is nthe first private party put on at this resident-only pool, they learned a hard lesson.
