Caught On Tape: Cop Pulls Gun On 2 Kids, Unleashes Profanity-Laden Tirade In Affluent Suburb

I’ll be up front with you and say that this video is disturbing.
It’s like a bucket of ice-cold water thrown in the face of the dream world that most people are walking through.
Watching riots on TV in places like Baltimore and Ferguson, it’s easy to think, “That couldn’t happen here. All that police violence only happens in poor communities.”
Guess again.
This weekend it was the safe, quiet suburb of McKinney, Texas, about 30 minutes outside of Dallas.
McKinney is no gang-infested slum; it’s an affluent bedroom community with an average household income over $96,000 according to Colliers International.
(Having grown up just a few miles away, I would add that it’s pretty sterile too, full of big-box retailers, megaplex cinemas, and chain restaurants.)
Over the weekend some local kids were having a summer pool party to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
With that many adolescents crammed together in one place, there was undoubtedly some silly teenage drama going on. And police were called to the scene.
One of them starts off almost immediately screaming profanity-laden tirades at the kids, many as young as 14.
This courageous officer’s advice to young people included such gems as “Sit your asses down,” and “Don’t make me fuckin’ run around with 30 pounds of goddamn gear on. . .”
At one point throws a girl to the ground who had apparently failed to ‘get her ass out of here’ with appropriate alacrity.
You can see him grab her neck and attempt to shove her face into the pavement.
The kids all start screaming. Two of them rush over to try and help their classmate, at which point Captain America pulls his gun out and advances menacingly towards them.
They bolt. So he turns his attention back to the girl, grabs her head once again, and screams “ON YOUR FACE!!!” as he pins her down on the ground and puts her in handcuffs.
It’s really disturbing to watch.
Had it been a parent trying to grind his kid’s face into the pavement, Child Protective Services would have immediately removed the girl from the home and the father would be rotting in jail this very moment.
But when a police officer does it, he goes on ‘leave’. And only when he’s unlucky enough to be caught on camera.
If some random stranger grabbed your child and started attacking her, you’d instantly turn into Bruce Lee and put the guy in a Kung-Fu death grip.
But when a police officer attacks your child, the government expects you to just stand around and watch.
That’s one of the most disturbing things from the video.
You’ll see there are a bunch of adults in the video milling around with their hands in their pockets while the kids get abused.
I appreciate they’re doing whatever they feel like they can do to make the best of a bad situation.
But they’ve been indoctrinated for so long that their reaction is to be obedient and submissive. They don’t interfere with ‘the law’. They know their place and they act like it.
The kids, on the other hand, are all still young enough that they haven’t totally subordinated themselves to the state. There’s still a part of them that’s free.
So when the cops get totally out of control, their instinct is to fight back.
That is, after all, our natural instinct– to be free.
We have to -learn- to be intimidated and subservient to the state. We have to learn to stand around with our hands in our pockets while our children are abused. And that learning takes place in none other than the public school system.
I checked the McKinney Independent School District’s website and found that these kids all recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning, including that part about “liberty and justice for all.”
They sing songs gushing about freedom in America. But they just got a taste of how free they really are.
Hopefully that lesson stays with them. It’s certainly more powerful that an entire semester of the mandatory civics class they have to take.
After watching the video I actually downloaded a copy of the staple civics textbook Magruder’s American Government, and found a rather prescient passage in the first chapter:
“This nation was founded by those who loved liberty and prized it above all earthly possessions.”
True statement. But that instinctive flame to be free has gone out for so many people, not only in America but across the world.
And no nation can rise again until that flame is rekindled.
The textbook continues:
“To preserve and protect [their rights and liberty], each generation must learn and understand them anew, and be willing to stand up for them when necessary.”
Perhaps that time is finally coming.

What is the mindset of a person who downvotes a request for information?
Because of some of your posts, many will down vote any comment you make. Some people have limited time. One must read quickly unless one has a life of leisure. If someone recognizes you as a personality that they have been opposed to numerous times, they will hit the down arrows by habit as they scan down the posts looking for their friends, allies, information and source suppliers, great intellects, or known wit's posts(no one could pass up any Boris post!). You have picked a side in this debate. An innocent question could easily be taken for sarcasm or a snide underhanded attack of some kind. Or else it may waste a lot of time for someone to provide you with information that you may only use to attack some more because you have been programmed or otherwise seem to have a closed mind.
I am not particularly sensitive to down arrows, but if they bother you, avoid emotional statements. I have had 'ideological enemies' make clever barbs at me and it was hilarious. They got up arrows including from me.
Be witty. Be funny. Use facts, logic, and reason. If you simply have strong feelings about a certain issue, can't go along with the crowd, and feel compelled to speak out, just do it. Let the chips and the down arrows fall where they will. I have down voted people before and much later I was still considering their thoughtful comment.
You may have made some 'adversaries' on this particular issue, but if you are clever, funny, and knowledgable, you will get many many second chances from those same people.

This WAS NOT an Attack on Anybody by the Police. The neighbors who live in that community have reacted on Facebook etc. today and the truth has come out. These thugs and hoodlums came to this neighborhood specifically to cause trouble. They were charged $15 each for a "Pool Party" in a Privately Owned Pool that had no idea they would be INVADED that day. McKinney is a nice place to live, is there something wrong with having a nice community to live in? When they were not allowed in the pool because they had NO RIGHT to even be there they attacked like a bunch of wild animals and then fought amongst themselves.

My complements to the young black gentlemen who listened to the officer and who sat down when asked to do so. You do not see the officer harassing them. All the officer was trying to do is take control of the situation, stop any yelling or fighting, and figure out what exactly happened. Unfortunately, some of the teens did not cooperate.
That is not exactly how it happened. The owner of the home called the cops because the mother and daughter were having a verbal argument. The cops came and all the kids who were around the pool scattered and when police arrived, they assumed a crime had taken place and the kids leaving were fleeing the scene of a crime. There was no need at all to talk to these kids. The mother and daughter who lived in the home were the people who needed to be talked with, not these kids.
As they were leaving, the girls were trying to find their hand bags, phone, whatever....and that is why they were walking around back and forth, trying to find their things. The cops acted as if a murder had taken place when in actuality, they should have walked up to the door of the house and gone in, sat down with mom and her daughter and settle the disagreement (too many kids showed up for a birthday party, after being invited by the daughter without her having informed her mother).
There was no crime to investigate - domestic dispute was the reason cops were called. Had the kids stayed pool side, the cops would have not had any problems but the kids did not know the cops were called or why they showed up (some may have had pot on them...).

There is a photo of this girl being held down by the cop, kneeling against her with one knee, full body weight, and his other knee a rest for his arm, meaning he was applying over 150 pounds onto this young girl's back. The face to the ground was brutal enough to watch. In any event, this was above and beyond the call of duty and the cop was treated accordingly. Drug testing the cops might be the first step as cops going into large crowds of people is not new in America and they do not beat up, point guns at and terrorize the people. The pool must have had a fence around it and a key to enter if it was a HOA set up.

More than 3 black teenagers congregating in a white neighborhood - most people think that's a crime -at least most cops do
You got the story wrong. Here are the facts that were left out:
A 20 year old black woman was promoting a pool party via twitter for approximately a month in the subdivision where she lived with her mother. The subdivision has a Homeowners Association (HOA) which regulates and controls the activities in/around the HOA swimming pool and clubhouse and has strict rules for use. Neither she or her mother sought permission to use the pool or clubhouse area as part of the event. However, she hired a DJ and promoted the event to include a pool party.
There were hundreds who showed up at the private gated pool and clubhouse for residents. They began jumping the fence to the gated pool area. Residents within the neighborhood found themselves confronting a mob of teens growing ever increasingly hostile and agitated.
Residents made numerous phone calls to the police as the teen mob became ever more confrontational with a security officer and local residents. The mob refused to leave the area. The police arrived.
With hundreds of teens ransacking the area, the first officer on scene immediately called for back-up. Nine additional officers arrived to try and restore order.

While I do think much of law enforcement seems a bit unbalanced, I must say that if the story by Condition 1sq is true then the kids should all have left immediately. I do believe the locals should have been out in support of the officers and someone should have recorded the whole event with an honest narrative to counteract this kind of negative publicity for the police. The one officer does seem to have been a little over the top, in fact in one scene it almost looked like the other officers were trying to diffuse him. I noticed that he was the only one screaming and slamming everyone around. The young black men didn't really look all that threatening and I suspect that if the police had talked to them, things might have been calmer. That said, sometimes you do have to show people who is boss and if the neighbors called the cops, then the police were doing their job. If the DJ party girl's parents actually live there, they should be fined. Nothing hurts the wealthy more than losing money and it will never happen again.

© 2015 James LaFondWhen the riots hit on the last Monday of April, I went down to the mixed race sports bar to make sure any non-combatants that needed to get home, could. Arrangements were made for that day and phone numbers were swapped between Big Jim and I and a few ladies who did not own cars. All were sure that it would never again be safe for a white woman to take the bus in Baltimore after what was seen on the TV monitors on that day.
Yesterday, after having a nice spring day of training and returning home to write, I received a phone call from Ellen, a woman who works a half mile from my home and lives two miles in the other direction. She had gotten off work and gone to the supermarket and bought some groceries. Her normal ride was out of work with an injury. The cabs were not apparently running, and the thought of taking three buses over the course of three hours, past the scenes of three recent shootings [two being fatal] struck her with dread.
I told her that if she was up to walking the two and a half miles I would carry her groceries home for her.
When I showed up with my rapier-umbrella, she looked at the sky and said, “Really, rain?”
I responded, "You can never be too well prepared."
It was a pleasant walk. Unlike my various bimbonic female friends, who always sought to walk by my side, she took her proper place at my back and asked if she should look out. I affirmed her suspicion and regulated my stride to hers so that there were two steps between us. We were fortunately walking away from the sun. I would not be blinded, and would have the benefit of shadow as we crossed 8 blocks, a primary road, and then two more blocks uphill, past where Simon was shot down by two black dudes during the recent curfew.
The curfew bottle-necked victims into an ambush time slot for the local thugs; all potential targets coming home between 9:30 and 10, entering the un-policed wilderness of the side streets at the same time, like bison headed for a cliff. The curfew got people beaten, robbed, raped, shot, stabbed, and killed.
Simon had been returning from the bar with his wife after purchasing his monthly supply of pot, when two home boys, probably tipped off by phone, ambushed him, shooting him in the arm. He did save his pot, but based on his bleed rate soon realized that 911 would have to be called. As his wife phoned in the shooting—to which there was a timely response—he, being fearful of having a dozen retail size bags of pot on him when he passed out, began throwing them on a neighbor’s lawn. He passed out, waking up on stretcher to the sight of cops bagging up his pot in evidence bags.
I had brought a spare backpack for Ellen to put her purse and groceries in, directing her to sling her beverages in a double bag as a potential flail.
I carried the heavy bag in my left hand and the rapier-umbrella in my right. Just as we passed the ambush zone, where these hilly side streets are bisected by a rubble-strewn alley, through which I was chased by a yellow Mustang 30 years ago, and a grassed-over street, seven innocent unarmed black youths emerged from the alley, split into two flanking pairs and a three thug following pack, and began making hand signs to each other.
Many couples and individuals are immediately attacked like this. The fact that I have something in my hand and am not spooked makes them nervous and tentative. I hefted each item to get a fresh grip and did a limited head swivel with every step, never looking at them, but keeping the flankers in my peripheral vision and watching for any second shadow to merge with Ellen’s shadow. She was being a good streetwise girl and did not say a peep.
We were on the sidewalk. There was a definite leader and sub-leader in this group. The leader stayed with the two in the tail element. The sub-leader was to my left in the street with the biggest dummy. The other two were flanking through the yards and were parallel with the tail group, having trouble keeping up without being obvious.
In this situation, which was a target of opportunity that seemed a little on the tough side, what these guys needed was a cohesion building action from Ellen or I.
If I had stopped and stared, it would have been on. I would have been challenging the pack’s right to patrol their home range.
If Ellen would have gotten nervous and showed signs of fear the leader would have gotten verbally defensive, claiming an insult, and beginning to build group indignation along the lines of, “So you cracker ass thinks we a thug, then we shows ya a thug!”
In liberal media eyes they would have been the victims of Ellen’s racial profiling in any altercation that followed.
Verbal threats to Ellen would have been mixed with claims that I was afraid to defend my woman and it would be on. I would have been quickly enveloped by a far more mobile attacking force. I was confident of fighting these boys off with the weapon in hand and hefted it as I continued to swagger through their hunting ground. Ellen noticed my weapon check and switched her sack of two sports drinks into her right hand.
As soon as I saw her shadow do this in the slanting 7 p.m. rays that illuminated the rising hillside sidewalk before me, I heard the leader—who had drifted toward the left flankers to link up with his sub-leader—say, “Back to it, Yo.”
The taller, larger, sub-leader answered, “Yo certain, Yo?”
There was a nod of the leader’s head barely perceptible out of my peripheral vision and the sub-leader said, “’Back to the cut,” and all seven of them drifted as one through the yard that took them back to the grass-covered side street and over to where Simon was ambushed five weeks ago. They were lost to sight and sound in five seconds, cutting between two houses into a winding maze of an ancient street that now looks like a dead end greenway. They had immediately seized upon us as a target of opportunity, did a tactical assessment, and then continued on their way upon realizing they had a fight on their hands—most importantly, a fight that smelled like a walking ambush, a counter attack waiting to happen.
As we crested the hill Ellen said, “Whew! That was close. I saw you getting ready to stab people and got ready to stand and swing. I remember you telling me that the woman should never move, stay put and give the man room to move. How did I do, Tarzan?”
“You did fine, girl.”
I sat out on Ellen’s porch and drank three beers until her roommate came home, and gave me a lift to my place. This is cooperative small scale community defense. Martial arts people only train for what happens after the situation has devolved into a confrontation between me and the leadership of the pack. That is as stupid as a military unit training to attack superior forces in head-on amphibious or airborne assaults, instead of what effective military units train to do, which is use of intelligence and mobility to put the enemy in an untenable position. In military terms, what I did here was similar to a recon squad accessing a defensible position, before the enemy was able to coordinate a battle plan.
I never train self-defense.
I train awareness and tactical mobility.
And, in case that does not keep a combat situation from developing, I train for combat, for the elimination of the enemy from my personal space. I advise any non combatants I walk with to either curl up in a sitting fetal position with their back to something, so I only have to defend 180 degrees. Or, if they are armed or somehow marginally effective, to stand still and fight off intruders while I stab any one entering into contact range. For this a mixture of saber and boxing footwork is my tactical base.
When you are about to get boned, convince your hunter to move The Boned Zone to another venue through taking reasonable tactical measures within plain view of the hungry predator that is assessing your palatability. If the attack comes from him—if you let the considered hunter feel comfortable with attacking you—it will be worse than if he and his pack just ran at you on sight in an impulsive frenzy. The more dangerous, high cohesion, tactically conceived attacks are delayed and discouraged by competent defensive tactics. Low cohesion frenzy attacks are easily broken from a tactically sound base.
Think tactically.
Behave tactically.
Act tactically.
If you must react, do so with direct, muscle-memory based ruthless efficiency, which breaks the antagonistic rhythm that has been brought into being by your tactical interaction with the enemy.
