"Getting Him Fired Is Not Enough" 100s Protest Texas Cops' Bikini-Clad Teenage Girl Assault
After the clip of white cops rampaging through an affluent Texas neighborhood teenage pool party went viral, the outcry at the actions of the police officers is growing louder as, it appears, AmeriKKKa (as one protester's banner exclaims) is waking up to what can be done.
As Reuters reports, hundreds marched through the Dallas-area city of McKinney on Monday calling for the firing of the police officer seen in a video throwing a bikini-clad teenage girl to the ground and pointing his pistol at other youths.
Corporal Eric Casebolt, who is white, has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation of how he responded to the disturbance on Friday which has raised fresh questions about racial bias in U.S. policing. "Him getting fired isn’t enough," said one protester, adding at that "he should be charged with assault."
About 800 people took part in the peaceful rally, carrying signs demanding an end to police brutality and calling for police accountability.
"We are demanding that the officer be fired and be charged with assaulting the youth," said Dominique Alexander, the president of the Next Generation Action Network, which helped organize the rally.
The incident comes after a string of cases over the past year fueled waves of protests across the United States over what civil rights activists say is law enforcement's unjustified use of force, often lethal, against minority groups.
Casebolt, a 10-year veteran once named the department's patrolman of the year, was questioned by authorities on Monday. He has not spoken publicly about the incident.
At the start of the video, one officer cordially tells some teens: "Don’t take off running as soon as cops get here."
Dajerria Becton, the 15-year-old girl thrown to the ground by Casebolt, told broadcaster KDFW the officer twisted her arm and grabbed her by the hair.
"Him getting fired isn’t enough," she said.

I've been in unruly crowds while armed. I wouldn't have pulled my pistol for that. Especially not considering that cops are much better at escalating the situation than they are deescalating it.

I've been in a crowd that was breaking the law myself. And I complied with the police officer's orders, even when others didn't and got away with it. Because in my America, if I didn't compy with the police officer's orders and got into even more trouble, I would have been the guilty party in the altercation. I went to court and paid my fine and grumbled about how much it was. And yes, the charge was trespassing, and I hate to say this because it might sound like an embelishment, but we were swimming somewhere we weren't' supposed to be.
Then your America is not the land of the free. I've also disobeyed unlawful orders from cops. Ask yourself, if the cops are not legally required to prevent you from coming to harm, why do you have to obey them?

I mean, a lot of what they did could be considered normal teen behavior by most standards. What movie where cops show up to a teen party doesn't involve running? If they're at the pool and legitimately aren't supposed to be there, do you care if they run? Isn't that the point? To get them to leave? I won't pretend they were innocent, though. However the cop in question clearly acted in a manner that a cop simply shouldn't. Manhandling teen girls, doing barrel rolls for no reason, drawing down on unarmed teens - all completely unacceptable. If the kids were "thugs", it should be expected that thugs will behave as thugs. However cops are held to a higher standard and should be expected to behave more honorably than "thugs". They should be able to resolve simple cases of neighborhood disturbance without drawing a weapon. They should be able to respond to people stranded in a flood or who have threatened suicide without shooting citizens. Shooting people should be an absolute last resort and it's starting to feel like more and more cops think that the gun is the first and only answer to every conflict.

I guarantee you the majority of those kids are not from that neighborhood. Maybe a couple of them are, but a kid that grows up in the upper-middle class burbs does not 1) take off running with the cops show up and 2) get face down on the pavement when its 100° outside when the cops say get on the ground.

Kids from the neighborhood getting too loud or playing profane music at their own pool, at least in my opinion would elicit a different response than kids not from the area jumping over fences and assaulting security guards and a mom of three in a pool not their own.
Was the cop over the top? Sure. Were the kids in the wrong as well? Definitely.

I had this happen on my street once with about 350 kids at a $3 million house due to text messages, The parents freaked out. It was a small party for the one kid's high school graduation.
The cops showed up and told everyone to leave. The kids left. My guess is the cops would have started towing cars because the street was packed with cars.

Let's assume, for the sake of this conversation, that the facts as currently stated are true.
That a local resident held a birthday party in the local community pool and invited all her school friends. That Mom and Dad contracted and paid for a DJ to provide entertainment. That said DJ went on social media and, with or without the local hosts consent, began selling $15 tickets to the party. That the advertising by the DJ attracted youths from outside the community. That those youths were legally in a public park but trespassing in a community pool adjacent to the public park. That some youths became offensive. That at some point, bottles were thrown at cars. That in response to this behavior, at least one and maybe two adult women residents decided to put a stop to the behavior and confronted the gathered teens. That while confronting the teens, it escalated into a physical altercation between the one or more Adult females and teenage females. That, as a result of the physical altercation, police was called. That while the police came in to remove the unruly teenagers from the pool, one of the officers, clearly out of control based on current video evidence, decided to slam a 14 year old, bikini clad female to the ground, and place his considerable weight on her. That as a reaction to his actions, three females and two males approached the officer in a menacing matter. That as a response to the actions by the two males the officer first stands up and faces them and after they stepped back he drew his service weapon. That two other officers saw his actions and intervened.
Lets assume all of that
First, the worst crime committed by the female was failure to disperse, a misdemeanor. The two males actions were, at worst, threatening an officer.
At which point did any of that require the use of deadly force? Drawing a weapon in Texas is legally the equivalent of using said weapon.
At which point did citizens, regardless of their age, gender or ethnicity, loose their right to peacefully assemble? At which point did they loose their right of speech and regress of grievances?
Why is the officer, a representative of the state, immune from charges of assault, battery, terrorist threats and kidnapping?
If I, a citizen, where to take the same actions, would find myself incarcerated that instant yet we find that a representative of the state can be applauded for the same exact actions? He was not preventing an act of violence but being violent, He was not protecting property but damaging property. He was, in short, a criminal.
Why did the adult females believe it was their place to scold or correct the behavior of the teenage females and to assault one of them? And why are those females not under arrest for assault? If you decide to strike my child I will take you down. If my child strikes you first, I will punish him/her for aggression against you. That is my place as a parent, not yours.
Are you offended by words? Do you believe that you are entitled to agrees against others just because you are offended? If so, you are a sociopath.

Here is the anarchist solution: Ignore the going ons, no point is intervening. Once the party is over, take account of the damage and approach the sponsor of the event asking for restitution. They are morally responsible for any actions their guest take. Bring in a clean up crew to repair the damage. Damaged cars or other property? Insurance takes care of all that. No need to invoke State violence.

Miami Beach had and may still have Hip Hop weekend. This may not be the exact name. The crime and mayhem caused some businesses to just close for the whole weekend. the city told them they cannot do that.

He defused a situation without anyone getting injured, along the way drawing his weapon until he ascertained that it wasn't needed, at which point he promptly holstered it and continued with his duties. You can't ask for more.
But meanwhile, the hooligans who ruined the party then ended up having another party the next night, ran through the same neighborhood kicking on doors and stealing a car and bashing a bunch of other cars with it, and community members who stood up and correctly and courageously spoke out that this had nothing to do with race are being threatened.

What would you have law abiding citizens do when faced with organizers who try to crash a pool without honoring the limitations on use set by the homeowners? When faced with milling kids that are not listening to the security guard? That do not peacefully disperse when requested to? That do not follow commands to sit down while order is restored? That charge at police officers who are trying to restrain an unruly girl who has bought into the "cop hate" and has bought into the idea that a peaceful, well functioning society is one in which no one can tell you what to do and protect their property? The need for local law enforcement will never go away. Local are our people. This cop did a good job of fluidly adjusting his response to the threat level. No one was shot, and he de-escalated as fast as he escalated as he saw that the threat was not what it initially seemed to be.

Does the citizen have the right to give the cop a "lawful" command? It is being assumed only the cops follow the law. What is legal and what is lawful are two horses of a different color. As I stated in the other posting we lost the ability to excercise a lawful debate long ago. This is primarily due to the lack of education in the mechanics of the law of the land. Many of the so called laws today violate original intent of state constitutions.
No doubt cops have to put up with all sorts of crap in this day and age of emotional rhetoric. Too many cops use a military mindset when dealing with the public. They believe their authority is not allowed to be questioned. The culture and society has lost its ability to carry on a lively debate between citizens and government. This is primarily due to both citizens and cops being ignorant in the law of liberty. All that remains is emotional jibberish and violent acts.
I would hate to be a cop in today's world. I believe many who would want to be good cops, don't want anything to do with the job. This leaves a larger portion who shouldn't be wearing a badge with weapons.
It was a lawful command. When cops are attempting to determine what happened and who may or may not have broken the law, you are breaking the law by preventing them from doing this job. If the cop feels unsafe by you or your groups presence, he can legally order you to leave the area. If you do not comply with that order, you are preventing the lawful activities of a police officer, simple as that.
She was asked, multiple times, to leave the area, she did not. The mouth-running-backtalk from the ridiculously narcissistic bitch was just what made him decide to stop being nice and enforce the law he's legally allowed to enforce.
