Assailant Attacks Dallas Police Headquarters With Automatic Guns, Pipe Bombs
Over the past several years, the US government has been confounded with not only explaining, but properly responding to one of the clear and obvious consequences of the Fed's disastrous policy of the past 7 years, namely record wealth inequality and a tearing social fabric (recall Paul Tudor Jones prediction that it may all once again end in "war or revolution") leading to rising social instability and a surge in public outbreaks of violence, frequently lethal. One need only note the flash riots in Baltimore and Ferguson to comprehend how fragile the US social fabric has become.
But while the government is still clueless how to explain this surge in social violence, something Zero Hedge readers have known for a long time is imminent (recall "despite what should be a steadily improving economy and improving social and economic conditions, what readers founds most fascinating, and troubling, was the increasing preponderance of social disobedience, of covert, proxy or outright wars, and of civil unrest: all phenomena that accompany a world sliding deeper into distress, not as most central banks and their puppet media would have us believe, a global recovery."), where its response has been even more deplorable is how to respond to this increase in civil disobedience: by weaponizing the US police force to an extent reminiscent of pre-civil war state leading to a police force which feels enabled and duly required to intervene well beyond the required in quelling and pre-empting imminent violence, leading to even more bloodshed much of it caught on phonecam and promptly uploaded on YouTube.
The result: in a game of rapidly escalating violence, public antagonism against the police is met with increasingly more acute brutality, which in turn forces even more social unrest and violence and so on in a positive feedback loop.
An example was shown yesterday when we reported that the murder rate in Baltimore skyrocketed as a result of the local Police responding to the infamous Baltimore riots by essentially shutting down.
Another example happened hours ago when overnight as many as four gunmen fired automatic weapons against the Dallas Police headquarters, Reuters reports, and that at least at least two pipe bombs were found outside the police headquarters after the initial shooting.
Initially, witness said there might have been 4 suspects. @DPDChief says we believe that one suspect shot from various locations.

At least one attacker opened fire on Dallas' police headquarters early Saturday, riddling windows and police cars with bullets before fleeing in a van to a suburban restaurant parking lot, where officers surrounded the vehicle in a standoff that has lasted for hours, CNN reports.
Subsequently Reuters reported that the assailant was believed to have acted alone, motivated by personal grievances, and he had no known connection to any terrorist groups.
Reuters adds that Dallas Police Chief David Brown told reporters that a motive for the attack was not yet known, but he also said there had been threats and attacks on police elsewhere in the country in the past few months.
One of the devices, a pipe bomb, exploded when a police robot attempted to move it. Another, which was under a police vehicle, was detonated by a bomb squad, according to the police department.
Brown said witnesses reported that up to four suspects were involved in the incident, which began around 12:30 a.m.
The incident started when police responded to reports of automatic gunfire from what was described as an armoured van outside police headquarters.
The van then rammed a squad car and gunfire erupted. The van drove off as police returned fire and officers gave chase, Brown said. Witnesses told police that one suspect may have failed to enter the van before it sped off, according to Brown.
The van stopped in a fast food restaurant parking lot in the city of Hutchins, some 10 miles (16 km) south of Dallas, where there was another exchange of gunfire. Police said they surrounded the van and managed to disable it with a high-powered rifle.
Brown said police negotiators had spoken with someone inside the van, who identified himself as James Boulware, shown in the mugshot below as per CBS DFW.

The police chief said they had not yet been able to confirm the identity of the man, but said that police had responded previously to three incidents of domestic violence involving a man with that name.
Brown told reporters at the early morning news conference that the suspect had said that police had taken his child and had accused him of being a terrorist. The police chief said that the man then threatened to "blow us up."
Several bags were found scattered around police headquarters, two of which had explosives inside, police said. Another suspicious package was found in a dumpster near a different police station in the city, according to police.
Nearby residents were evacuated, Brown said.

As CNN reports, after the police caught up with the suspect in Huchins, a standoff began, and a SWAT team was negotiating with a suspect in the vehicle who gave the name James Boulware. Police said that they cannot independently confirm that it is the suspect's real identity.
Police found a previous record of domestic violence by a man under that name. The suspect told police that he was angry because they took away his child and labeled him a terrorist.
He threatened to blow them up and broke off negotiations, Brown said.
At one point, police used a .50-caliber rifle to "disable" the vehicle, police said.
Investigators are looking into whether a van sold in Newnan, Georgia, on eBay last week may be the van used in the Dallas attack, a source familiar with the investigation said. They are investigating, among other things, who may have purchased the vehicle.

The good news is that according to DPD no police officers were wounded. However, that armed assailants are now eager to bring the fight literally to the doorstep of regional police headquarters is certainly not a welcome development for a nation that over the past year has seen an unprecedented surge in violence on both sides of the legal divide and is sure to escalate the tensions even futher, leading to even more social instability and violence.

I have my concerns over national false flags but this event is not one of them.
A guy attacking a police station because they took his kid away means to me he didnt know who was responsible for passing this kind of domestic law which is an indirect form of taxation at the end of the day. I look at world events, unjustly treated people attack government and police buildings, self-immolate but killing others seems to be a final stage of terrorism.
This is a state issues, it has very little if nothing to do with NWO or other hypososis.
Local, state and fed gov have all been overspending for years, vote buying from special interests (corps and ethnic groups and boomers) and making promises that cant be kept.
Using monetary policy rather than blended fiscal and monetary policy hurt revenue over the long haul making unsustainable budgets that much worse. The police face culpability in being tax collectors rather than peace officers. They do know better but that popular Upton Sinclair quote comes to mind about acting ignorant when it involves your living.
Once the society is ass raped (which inevitably like now includes in apropriate tax collectors) enough they realize they are there brothers keeper for the betterment of themselves and all concerned. Police have to also fight corruption and push back on state legislators. We all can do our part or we can all continue becoming Mexico. Choose wisely.

Otherwise, it really confuses me why anyone would be so motivated to do an attack such as this but fail to kill a cop. Would they not ambush two cops in a car, kill them and then dissappear. Of course if you actually kill two cops there might be someone who is motivated to pursue all leads and not drop the investigation when directed to do so. And in that case, covertly suiciding the investigator might just result in more disbelief and attention from a motivated cop.
Dallas cops have a long history of corruption simular to Chicago cops. Half the force was found to have questionable group associations at the time of JFK. (KKK and other groups)

Despite the frantic efforts of the MSM, .gov and Law Enforcment (sic) to push the narrative, violent crime in America is at a historically low level. In certain areas, it's alarmingly high; that would be among people who come into frequent contact with LEO's, LEO's themselves, and among the increasingly permanent underclass. The violence we're being conditioned to fear is the violence prevalent among certain member of the underclass, but that violence is not as portrayed. It's not (predominantly black) predators without conscience, looking to exploit any and every weakness. It's dysfunctional people without impulse control, conventional survival skills, and any sense of a stake in our current society. They don't see any tangible, firsthand examples of somebody working hard, following the rules, and reaping the rewards, so they consider that to be bullshit and become nihilistic. Based on what they actually see all around them, it's not a completely unreasonable conclusion.
Such people are volative and dangerous indeed, though mostly to those around them regularly. They're highly unlikely to pose any danger to me. We might as well live in different worlds, though we pass through each other's neighborhoods.
However, as our society deteriorates, pressures increase on those who thought they had a stake in society and find out differently. Those are the people who scare the Establishment the most. They're the ones who actually do attack LEO's, bring some firepower to it, and don't care anymore if they live or die. Not the ghetto teenaged boys who shoot each other (more likely shoot the people next to the people they're shooting at) over perceived slights and acts of petty larceny.
Most people are pretty reasonable. The few who aren't are pretty recognizable. The Elites and their retainers, such as the MSM, .gov and LEO's, have a growing problem on their hands, it's true. But it's their safety increasingly at risk, not mine (unless I come into contact with them when they're trying to prove a point and advance an agenda). Most of us are as safe as we were years ago, and actually safer as casual social violence declines. When's the last time anyone was in a fistfight? For me it was 6th grade. When I was a kid that sort of thing was far more common than it is today. My kids have gone to inner-city schools all their lives; now in high school; and have never hit or been hit in anger. Don't fall for the hype. "America" is less dangerous today than it was 40 years ago. The Elites are getting some backlash and they want to make it our problem.

My apologies; I didn't get your reference to the immediate case. I don't know what's actually going on in this case, but I do have some insight into Child Protection.
This child protection stuff is a tough one. I have a relative who is a child protection worker. All day every day, he deals with the most appalling stuff I can imagine, and beyond. He gets sent on the occasional ridiculous investigation, like a false report sent by an obsessive ex, or paranoid crazy neighbors calling in perfectly normal things. He can tell the difference.
On the other hand, my youngest brother is an attorney in a small town. Therefore he takes on a wide variety of cases. He had a situation where a young man had sole custody of his young daughter because his wife got hooked on meth and took off. She had wealthy parents who were well-known in the town and had never liked the young man who knocked up their little princess. They got their daughter into a posh treatment center, and 28 days later, she wanted her daughter back and the dad gone. So she went to Child Protection and told them he was molesting the little girl. The shit-hammer came down, and the young man retained my brother. My brother knew there was going to be trouble. The young woman had gone to one specific Child Protection worker who is known to believe that all men are rapists and molesters.
My brother, and the young man, got lucky. In court, the Child Protection worker played the recording of their interview of the 3 year-old girl. They were badgering the child, trying to get her to affirm a number of flagrantly leading questions. That was, apparently, OK. What saved the situation was that the interrogation room walls were paper-thin, and the recorder actually picked up what the Child Protection workers were saying just outside the room. They were talking about how they were going to get this kid to trip up, because it was pretty obvious there was no actual abuse going on and the mother and her parents were pressuring them hard to get the desired result. My brother heard some cross-talk, had the court authorize enhancing the recording, and there it was. He won his case, the young dad got his daughter back and there were some minor repercussions for the Child Protection workers involved. However, as my brother said, now he has a potent, powerful and insane mortal enemy in the local Child Protection office.
In most cases, where there's smoke there's fire. Usually it isn't the kind of crazy stuff we see on TV shows that qualifies as abuse. It's almost always overwhelmed parents, typically not affluent, who are losing it over time and the kids have to bear the burden.
On the other hand, once you get into the system you can't get out--ever. And opportunities for abuse are certainly present. It's pretty rare, and we usually only hear one side of the cases that sound the most outrageous. But when the system gets you in its sights, it's a terrible thing, and I can understand why "some nuts snap."
