On The Floridian Clod & Hillary Is The New Nixon

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by James Kunstler via Kunstler.com,

The Floridian clod seeking to don the mantle of Millard Fillmore made an amazing foreign policy speech at an economic conference in Berlin last week. Inveighing against Russian President Vladimir Putin, he gave a very vivid impression of a man who has no idea what he is talking about.

“Russia must respect the sovereignty of all of its neighbors. And who can doubt that Russia will do what it pleases if its aggression goes unanswered?”

Jeb Bush was averring elliptically to the failed state formerly known as Ukraine, trying to put over the shopworn story that Russia was needlessly making war on its neighbor (and former province).

“Bush called for increased clarity on what type of sanctions would be imposed on the country if Prime Minister Vladimir Putin does not back down against a united international front…. ‘I don’t think we should be reacting to bad behavior [Bush said]. By being clear what the consequences of “bad behavior” is in advance, I think we will deter the kind of aggression that we fear from Russia. But always reacting, and giving the sense we’re reacting in a tepid fashion, only enables the bad behavior of Putin.’”

Note, by the way, that here is yet another scion of the Bush clan who was inexplicably brought up speaking Ebonics: “What the consequences… is?” Say what?

Ukraine became a failed state due to a coup d’état engineered by Barack Obama’s state department. US policy wonks did not like the prospect of Ukraine joining Russia’s regional trade group called the Eurasian Customs Union instead of tilting toward NATO and the European Union. So, we paid for and enabled a coalition of crypto-fascists to rout the duly elected president. One of the first acts of the US-backed new regime was to declare punishment of Russian language speakers, and so the predominately Russian-speaking people in eastern Ukraine revolted. Russia reacted to all this instability by seizing the Crimean peninsula, which had been part of Russia proper both before and through the Soviet chapter of history. The Crimea contained Russia’s only warm water seaports and naval bases. What morons in the US government ever thought Russia would surrender those assets to a newly-failed neighbor state?

Was Vladimir Putin acting irresponsibly in this case? The opposite would be a much more logical conclusion. And what interest does the United States have in Ukraine? Surely no more than Russia would have in Texas. And when else in the entire history of the USA all the way back to George Washington did any government official declare Ukraine to be America’s business? Answer: Never. Reason: we have no legitimate interests in that corner of the world. So why in the early 21st century are we making this such a sore spot in our foreign relations? Because our waning influence in the world, in turn a product of our foolish inattention to our own economic problems and failing polity at home, is driving America batshit crazy.

The rest of the world sees this for exactly what it is, friends, former friends, and adversaries alike. I wonder what the Germans thought of Jeb’s intemperate and idiotic speech. Eyes must have rolled in the meeting hall. After all, Russia is their natural major trading partner. How do US-orchestrated economic sanctions against Russia work in their interest? Answer: they don’t. The Germans have been making a lot of discreet noises the past year about dissociating from America’s stupid program of antagonizing Russia. Perhaps Jeb’s jingoistic utterances in Berlin will finally push them over the line.

Meanwhile, Hillary (no last name required) steps out of the starting gate this week, too, pretending to be the incarnation of Robin Hood, as if she would ever shut down the financial rackets that have at once impoverished the former middle-class and enriched grifter opportunists such as Hillary herself. Her event on Roosevelt Island, New York City, looked like unintentional self-satire, as if it were staged by the late-great director Robert Altman for one of his wacky political movies. Hillary’s handlers missed one touch though: a cape would have gone nicely with that electrifying blue pant-suit. As for the speech itself, a bigger bundle of platitudes and insincerities has not been served up since the heyday of Nixon. As the politicians are so fond of saying these days, make no mistake, Hillary is the New Nixon.

And Nixon did not have a sycophant media kissing his ass. Nixon would have faced a noose if he had even been accused of a quarter of the Clinton's long line of abuses. Admittedly Nixon was almost a liberal as Hillary, but his biggest enemy was the press, which happens to be Hillary's biggest supporter.

As one 11Bravo to another, I have to call you out on this.  Maybe the years have faded your memory, but Nixon got elected in 1968 with his "secret plan" to end the war.  As a college kid of 21, that sounded like good news.  What happened was a major escalation by Nixon & Kissinger in '69, and the "secret plans" included illegally bombing & invading Cambodia, setting the stage for Pol Pot & the Khmer Rouge to slaughter 2 million Cambodians in the 70's.

But, back to the timeline.  Near the end of 1969, the streets were jammed with protesters and college campuses were exploding with anti-war demonstrations, when Nixon introduced the lottery in an attempt to make the draft more palatable.

I wasn't too worried.  After all, Nixon had a plan to end the war, soi it was going to be over soon.  Long story short - I was inducted in the summer of '70 (right after the Atlanta Rock Festival), and the war was still raging.  I arrived in RVN Jan '71 just in time for Lam Son 719......3 years after Nixon's 'secret plan'.

Stood down w/1-506th, 101st ABN and made it home 5 days before Xmas.

After Lam Son 719, we turned things over to the ARVNS as fast as we could.  It was easy to see what a lost cause it all was....and right now, the Middle East is an even bigger, more impossible mess.

Nixon did nothing to save you from your tour of duty.  College Kids & 58,000 body bags finally forced Congress cut of the money for another false flag operation staged to drag us into another endless war.  Nixon and Kissinger, just like Bush & Cheney, should have been tried for treason.  I would stand in line to volunteer for a spot on the firing squad for all 4 of them.

Now, with the mercenary Army we have, there are no college kids in the streets, Congress is owned by the MIC, Bankers, and other war profiteers, and we are still bogged down in America's longest (false flag) war.

He gave us racial quotas, wage and price controls, severed the link between the dollar and gold, liberal abortion, and a host of other disasters.

On foreign policy, he was a great practiioner of Metternichian realpolitik, but did not grasp the need to see off Marxism-Leninism before his concept could really work.  It took Reagan to do that.

Now that Nixonian realism actually makes sense, we have two "leaders" -- Jeb and Hillary -- who, in insisting absurdly that Russia is the USSR reincarnate, do not begin to grasp the potential.

In my opinion, Hillarity has this in the bag, unless the western flank of Cumbre Vieja collapses and the ensuing Tsunami destroys everything. She will not win the election; Slick Willy will win it for her. Every time she is hit with a scandal, they will parade Bill out to praise how beautiful and a wonderful wife she has been. All of America will fall for it; well, at least the America that votes Democrat. If given the opportunity, millions of Americans will stand in the line to get the opportunity to tinkle Willy's Winkle. I think Willy wants it more than Hillary; he wants to be back in the White House and enjoy a few more blue dresses, and he will win it for her.

Just watch how he takes over the campaign. He is their secret weapon.

C'mon, this is the internet, the official CIA / NSA / TSA / ZION-Revisionist Approved Media.  Let any half / partial or full Wit do their own "research" and come to their own conclusion.  Evidently, as a 27 year old background research "assistant" herself at the time, she learned the ropes quite quickly and was schooled that her next best step was to take / wake up with a guy in Arkansas if she really wanted to be a “player”.  So she moved in with and later married the dork that was later (s)elected twice to the presidency by the forces she amalgamated with and to during her trial period.

Granted, she would need to give up any goofy idealism that would involve being a loving, monogamous and supportive “help-meet”, and become a despotic self-serving, aggrandizing and manipulative motivated “feminist” in the hopes of being awarded an eventual opportunity to present her diseased being before a diluted US citizenry for acceptance to the same role her previously damnable “spouse” held for 8 solar orbits earlier.

It actually sounds like it will likely become quite a decent movie script for a future Tarantino / Pitt / Jolie / Strathem and why-not Damon violent-combat-politico-farce-comedic media extravaganza.

But it's better to ridicule the MSM propaganda mill itself, which despite its falling ratings, enjoys far too much credibility still, and the same with the Diebold charade known as 'elections'. It's time to openly mock the stupid sheeple who still follow or believe the dinosaur media, since these are the same true believers who will 'vote' on the Diebold system. Since they don't teach classical education or logical thinking a reminder on political theory.

"They say that to do injustice is, by nature, good; to suffer injustice, evil; but that the evil is greater than the good. And so when men have both done and suffered injustice and have had experience of both, not being able to avoid the one and obtain the other, they think that they had better agree among themselves to have neither; hence there arise laws and mutual covenants; and that which is ordained by law is termed by them lawful and just. This they affirm to be the origin and nature of justice; —it is a mean or compromise, between the best of all, which is to do injustice and not be punished, and the worst of all, which is to suffer injustice without the power of retaliation; and justice, being at a middle point between the two, is tolerated not as a good, but as the lesser evil, and honoured by reason of the inability of men to do injustice. For no man who is worthy to be called a man would ever submit to such an agreement if he were able to resist; he would be mad if he did. Such is the received account, Socrates, of the nature and origin of justice." — Plato’s Republic, Book II.

This is the basis of political theory, any and all means are justified. Machiavelli paraphrased this. People want to believe otherwise that politicians are somehow a projection of themselves, they aren't nor are they educated in the same manner to believe the way voters are conditioned to believe.

This not just in the US, remember that little gem of quote by Juncker about lying for example.

This is what these people really believe and that is the basis for their dogmatic political beliefs regardless of what ism is being pushed at any given time.

Now that we know a little about the basics this leads to the next topic consequentialism So which form of consequentialism is the basis of the whole illusory matrix subsystems including political/propaganda/financial etc?

Utilitarianism best describes the system. Here is a good way to define Utilitarianism.

"Nature has placed mankind under the governance of two sovereign masters, pain and pleasure. It is for them alone to point out what we ought to do, as well as to determine what we shall do. On the one hand the standard of right and wrong, on the other the chain of causes and effects, are fastened to their throne. They govern us in all we do, in all we say, in all we think..."
— Jeremy Bentham, The Principles of Morals and Legislation (1789) Ch I, p 1

Or another way to define it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilitarianism

Utilitarianism is a theory in normative ethics holding that the moral action is the one that maximizes utility. Utility is defined in various ways, including as pleasure, economic well-being and the lack of suffering. Utilitarianism is a form of consequentialism, which implies that the "end justifies the means". This view can be contrasted or combined with seeing intentions, virtues or the compliance with rules as ethically important. Classical utilitarianism's two most influential contributors are Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill. Bentham, who takes happiness as the measure for utility, says, "it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong".

The whole lie of a system that is fostered on you from day one is based on this, including democracy.

Just to show the current crop of weasels and wannabe's that a vote does count.

Wouldn't it throw the pollsters, MSM and everything else out of whack if a nobody at the bottom of the list became POTUS.

It would probably do the country some good and it can't do any more harm than what is there now.

Dude... they use Diebold machines.

That means, IF you trot down to the voting station, your 'vote' is going to be for the MSM President.

The only way you can screw them up is NOT to participate in the Diebold structure.

Save your valuable time, use it to sort the washcloths or clean out that old junk drawer or something. Take a shower, take a walk. Just DON'T show up for Diebold's headcount. And don't devote any of your time or effort -- or money -- to their rigged game. The only way to win is not to play.

If we do not take this opportunity, we have only ourselves to blame.

My local Tea Party rep introduced 43 bills in one day that exempted specific chemicals from duty rates for the benefit of one Koch Brothers division in this district.  It only had 7 employees, and the chemicals were readily available from domestic suppliers.  Most are now playing the 'go along to get along' game so popular in Washington....and how many are volunteering to term-limit themselves?

Here is an interesting quote from an article entitled:

"The Two Contending Visions of World Government"

by Eric Zuesse

Located at

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2015/06/the-two-contending-visions-of-wor...

"Alfred de Zayas is the U.N.’s Special Rapporteur on Promotion of a Democratic and Equitable World Order, which is the U.N.’s official who speaks for the global institution regarding current issues that are of concern to the achievement of the U.N.’s founding objectives. A report in Britain’s Guardian on 4 May 2015, titled “UN Calls for Suspension of TTIP Talks,” quoted him as saying that the reason why the U.S.-EU negotiations must be suspended is that, “We don’t want a dystopian future in which corporations and not democratically elected governments call the shots.” But the international aristocrats do want that. De Zayas, the institutionalized spokesperson for the vision of FDR and of RGT, spoke for the great progressive leaders who were committed to the defeat of fascism. However, Obama, the Clintons, all Republicans, and most of the leadership around the world, are now again within the fascist camp."

No such luck. Nixon had the good manners to resign over far smaller outrages than Hillary has presided over.

For example, there's no proof Nixon had anyone whacked, and in fact he rejected most of G. Gordon Liddy's loopier proposals for intimidating the opposition.

Hillary? When she's dead and gone and nobody is afraid of her any more, maybe it will become possible to find out just how many people she's had murdered over her career, just in the United States.

Hillary will never be another Nixon. She's learned too well from his mistakes.

For one thing, Hillary has done a much better job of co-opting the media and controlling the message. If he hadn't alienated the press, Nixon would have survived Watergate with no real trouble.

Jack Kennedy was a spoiled rich boy who got the US into Vietnam, and would cheerfully have started World War Three to get his own back on Khrushchev for showing him up as an amateur. Our masters understandably decided the boy was more dangerous than he was worth, and, for once, did the right thing, if for the wrong reasons (viz. saving their own skins).

If Nixon had any role in the Kennedy assassination, humanity is in Nixon's debt.

We know about The Mena connection as well as drug and other connection the Clintons were involved in. Here is some dirt on Jeb and read it all. How could the 2 parties do this to us?

Jeb Bush’s Tangled Past

https://consortiumnews.com/2015/06/12/jeb-bushs-tangled-past/

...The Miami News continued, “When the Iran-contra scandal began to break in October 1986, the CBS Evening News and the Herald quoted unnamed officials as saying that Jeb had served as his father’s chief point of contact with the contra rebels. Jeb’s denials were narrow. He did not deny being his father’s liaison to the contras, only that he had not participated ‘directly’ in the illegal contra resupply effort directed from the White House.”

Contra Ties

Robert Parry, who in the mid-1980s was an Associated Press reporter investigating the Reagan-Bush administration’s secret support for the Contras, confirms Jeb Bush’s association with Contra supporters operating out of Miami. Parry recalls that one Nicaraguan businessman with close ties to both Jeb Bush and the Contras told Parry that Jeb Bush was getting involved with a pro-Contra mercenary named Tom Posey, who was organizing groups of military advisers and weapons shipments....

...There is also the troubling history of the Bush family connection to the Cuban drug kingpin, Leonel Martinez, as reported by the Miami News. Martinez left Cuba following the communist overthrow to continue his capitalist ventures and eventually became one of the most successful cocaine and marijuana importers in Miami during the 1980s. He was also a generous benefactor of the Republican Party.

“Between 1984 and 1987, Martinez and his wife Margarita donated at least $14,200 to political organizations controlled by the Bush family,” including the Dade County GOP, of which Jeb became chairman in 1984, and the vice presidential campaign fund of George H.W. Bush. A photograph of Martinez and Bush Sr. shaking hands shows the value placed on Martinez’s contributions.

When Martinez was finally arrested in 1989 for possession of 300 kilos of cocaine he entered a plea deal. The Washington Post reported another layer of connection to the Bushes:

“Formal approval of the plea bargain had to be provided by Dexter Lehtinen, the top federal prosecutor in Miami — who owed his job to Jeb and George Bush. Lehtinen, a former Republican state legislator with little prosecutorial experience, is married to Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the congresswoman from Miami. In July 1990, while Leonel Martinez’s case was still under consideration by Lehtinen’s office, his wife’s campaign received a $500 campaign contribution from Margarita Martinez, Leonel’s wife.”

The important one is the document with the baby footprint on it.

If that is a forgery then all those documents are. You can debunk that one scientifically since baby footprints on a birth certificate were used by forensics to identify murder victims when they didn't have usable fingerprints or dental records before advent of DNA testing.

"Ukraine became a failed state due to a coup d’état engineered by Barack Obama’s state department."

I believed this for a long time. Afterall, it's confirming evidence for my view that so many of the worlds issues originate from US meddling in the internal affairs of other countries.

However, when I threw it to a Ukrainian friend of mine he pointed out that this story originated in RT (Russia's news source) and after talking to friends from the Ukraine, the "coup" was not viewed as such from within the country. From their view, the leader abandoned his post and started calling it a coup after he re-emerging in Russia.

Every news source I could find is either: 1) quoting RT, 2) Not attributed but basically follows the RT line of reasoning (this post is a case in point). 3) quotes Viktor Yanukovych, the ousted leader, while he's sitting in Russia.

I'm not sure what to think at this point but I'm sceptical of the news reporting on all sides and I tend to trust first hand accounts of people involved over biased reports on either side.

My ancestors in deep South Georgia had a vastly different view of the Civil War in America than someone's ancestors from New York.  What's your point?  Where did those Ukie friends of your hail from - East or West?

How much more do you need to know than Victoria Nuland's admission December of 2013 that we had spent $5 Billion to destabilize Ukraine, 3 months before the elected government fell.  Then, her later leaked phone conversation where she lays out the U.S. intentions and utters her famous "Fuck the E.U." proclamation.

Or, if still not convinced, where is the Black Box recording from Flight MH17?  The British have it, but why still not released?  If they could use it to their benefit, it would be cited every day to justify war.

Plenty of other things to be learned if you really want to.
