those flash crashes are reflecting the lack of liquidity in the credit market. before the summer has passed the fed will have no choice but to launch overt QE. I say overt because in reality they never stopped monetizing the debt; it is just being hid now. that is the only way these overnight flash crashes--especially with CDSs--have been averted.
