Israeli Official's Wife Apologizes For Racist Obama Tweet
The wife of Israeli Interior Minister Silvan Shalom apologized on Sunday for tweeting a racist joke about President Obama.
Nir-Mozes has since deleted the offending post, according to Haaretz.
The paper noted that her husband is responsible for overseeing strategic dialogue between Israel and the U.S.

I don't know about the most racist society on the planet. I was in Tel Aviv one year ago and went to the central bus station on a Saturday morning. The quarter I crossed could have been a part of Abidjan, Yaounde or Kampala. The entire population was of African origin and the houses were ugly crumbling concrete buildings. Later I inquired about the origin of these people and the Israelis told me that those were the same people we in Europe see on the news on a daily base - trying to reach Malta or Lampedusa on small boats and drowning.
