CNBC Demystified
Submitted by Doug Litowitz via TheAlphaPages.com,
CNBC presents a paradox in the hedge fund community.
It plays constantly, but hardly anybody watches it.
The channel mostly functions as white noise emanating from wall-mounted monitors on trading floors and in financial firms.
Given its ubiquity, one might think it was highly regarded.
But traders and portfolio managers treat CNBC with scorn or indifference.
Few rely on CNBC for market information, preferring Bloomberg terminals or proprietary data sources.
The situation resembles George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, where the protagonist Winston Smith tuned out the massive telescreen on his apartment wall that issued endless streams of positive news.
As an experiment, I polled several friends who have a combined 100 years of experience in hedge funds. They couldn’t recall anyone saying, “I just got a game-changing idea on CNBC.” And during rare mentions of the channel, the commenter opines on the female anchors’ attractiveness or the quality of the male anchors’ suits.
According to Nielsen, CNBC commands a market share many multiples of its nearest competitor, Fox Business News, and perhaps a dozen times that of its second competitor, the more elite-minded Bloomberg Television.
This is puzzling. How can something so unpopular be so popular?
The answer is complex, and requires a deep dive to find CNBC’s true purpose.
CNBC is a news show, or in other words, it is supposed to provide content, information, and stock market advice.
By journalistic standards, it falls short of its task.
Interviews feature softball sessions bordering on hero worship. The recent coverage in Davos at the World Economic Forum was shameless. Too often, CNBC accepts a devil’s bargain where they gain access to market leaders in return for tacit agreement to refrain from tough questions.
The ‘experts’ are self-anointed. Their predictions are never back-tested.
And whatever news it provides is already stale to market makers.
The screen is full of dizzying information without meaningful analysis, and commentators never broach broader social issues. A hollow, unconvincing conviviality prevails among its anchors, and whenever the market goes down or a guest becomes bearish, the anchors turn incredulous, brittle, defensive, and dumbfounded.
Last Fall, the anchors turned aggressive on Peter Schiff by forcing him to admit he wrongly predicted that Gold prices would rise, and he had to defend himself by noting that he was correct about predicting the housing crisis while CNBC was busy cheerleading. Exasperated, he said what everyone is thinking: “All you do is parade people who are wrong.”
Judged as a news show that is supposed to report objectively on the economy and the stock market – it is grievously flawed.
But at a deeper level, below consciousness, CNBC serves an indispensible shamanistic function, providing a kind of ideological placebo that calms everyone down by offering a series of comforting myths.
At this, it succeeds wildly.
Recall that the function of a shaman is to give puzzled victims a narrative framework for redemption, a story in which their afflictions can be warded off, and blessings bestowed, if they perform a certain ritual, or appease a demon, or ingest a magical substance. A person who consults a shaman does not seek evidence or back-testing. He wants a comforting myth that casts himself as master of his destiny when things go well, and as a blameless victim of the gods when things go wrong.
CNBC is an electronic shaman for investors.
Even with the sound turned off, it sends the underlying message that a master plan exists and we can find redemption in the markets, that there is a golden thread, a controlling logic to the chaos and indeterminacy around us. When we make money, it is because we have been wise and followed their sage advice. And when we don’t make money, when they fail to predict the next collapse, there will be no one to blame, because it was due to unforeseeable and mysterious forces.
This is what we want to hear.
All of us – from amateur investors to the greatest traders at the best hedge funds – on some unconscious level want to believe this. It is not simply that we want to hear that market indexes are rising; that may or may not be good news depending on one’s positions. Rather, we want to hear that whatever our strategy happens to be, there are well-dressed, positive, cheerful and confident people telling us that destiny is in our hands, and that the dream is within reach.
No one wants to hear that we are throwing hard-earned money to the cruel winds of malevolent and opaque forces, that billions, even trillions, are sloshing around vulnerable to unstable geopolitical and sociological events that defy rationality, or that fortunes can be won or lost because of some freak tragedy.
No one wants to hear that the market is propped up by the Federal Reserve, or that we are irrationally exuberant, or that earnings guidance is low-grade fiction.
We want to be reassured by serious men and women in suits who tell us that events are looking up, that problems are solvable, that the market is rational, that we are scientists, not gamblers.
And most important, we can all be winners if we just listen to their experts on shows like Fast Money and Mad Money. Just as the audience at a magic show suspends disbelief while the magician saws a body in half, the CNBC viewers suspend disbelief about whether the ‘experts’ on the screen were correct yesterday, or the day before, or the month before.
To watch CNBC – even volume off – is to be transported to a world where propitious events are on the horizon, where people are busy, serious, and sober. The people are smiling, boarding planes, presenting charts in glass conference rooms, balancing their portfolios and building their nest eggs.
They are me, I am them, we are all watching CNBC together, and we are all in the know.
It’s a nice place to be. And that should be your first clue that it isn’t real.

All that aside.
She's got great tits !.
CNBC is Tits, assholes and cunts, all in that order!
Isn't, or wasn't, Immelt CEO? And wasn't he also on the GMAC Board? Allied?
And isn't he on the economic advisory team (hahahaha, nice name, code for "corrupt insider market steering group") to Obambam?
There's your answer. The channel is 100% .gov fascist and crony capitalist propaganda.
If you disagree with their views or speak ill of their masters, they will ban you from commenting on thier discussion boards.
I only get 6 channels and this is not one of them. I prefer MeTV because it has all of the old shows. Andy Griffith, Batman, Startrek, and such. Back before the jews took over and America was a great country they made some decent TeeVee.
What religion was Captain Kirk and perhaps the majority of the producers of the shows you so love?
I only read the articles

CNBC "Tits for Brains"
I watch CNBS for the occasional glimpse at weathermen with 20/200 hindsight.
CNBC = C Nothing But Crap
Leonard Nimoy was a tribesman also. RIP and Live Long and Prosper.
Cramer = Cunt. How are those BQI shares, Cunt? Get a shave.
TURN OFF THE TV. WEAN YOURSELF.
i confess to watching it occasionally, like I do all news shows. If you see it for what it is- propaganda, it can be interesting, if for no ther reason than to understand why people think the way they do. Its interesting to see how they shape a story, based on their view point. No matter what the story is, it somehow enforces their worldview, no mater how warped it may be.
As an aside, we all agree this charade of a market built on a mountain of debt will come crashing down at some point, and it will be worth it keeping a basic cable subscription to watch it come crashing down live, on CNBC. keep your beer and popcorn handy, bitchez
If we played strip poker there's no way I could ante anything that could match her pair of aces. I probably could come up with a straight flush though.
The yids have controlled TV for a very long time how. One time there was a saying. All roads lead to Rome. Now that saying has been replaced . All roads lead to Tel Aviv. Jews think we should all bow down and kiss jewish ass and jewish feet because we are just cattle and animals in this world according to the Talmud. But I will not. Not now, not ever. So where does that leave us? Let's humbug and get this thing overwith. Its way past time now.
My "triple play" Comcast was down for 48 hrs. - but they are going to credit me $5 on my next bill...?
once again the Roberts family screwing folks since 1963... disgusting kikes
Big time ZioTrolls.
You are only screwed when it is on.
CNBC is the "common knowledge", or what is expected by everyone to have been heard by everyone. It doesn't need to inform anyone of anything, as long as it informs of what everyone is informed about.
If you want to "reality check" on our modern cultural slide as TV indicates..you got to check out YouTube and watch some some of the episodes of the number one TV show in Amercia in the 1950's "Life is Worth Living" and number one topic of concern "nuclear war" versus todays number one reality shows "Celebrity Wife Swap" and its number one topic "Bruce Jenner". The stark contrast could not be more different for a nation within a single generation. Today we are a culture of no true God, no true morals, no true ethics and thus we haver no true society/civilization as we do not share common values. Television has now truely become the "boob tube"
Old cons get recycled with new bogeymen. Pick your geopolitical Emmanuel Goldstein: Saddam, Ghaddafi, Ahmadinejad, Pooty-poot, Assad... More recently, we have Agenda 21, the declaration of war against YOU, which means attacking all that makes you strong, from your values and morality to your rights to your financial independence to your health and nutrition, ostensibly "to save the planet" from environmental Al Qaeda in the form of "Global Cooling," subsequently replaced with "Global Warming," finally diluted into strategically ambiguous "Climate Change." All wars of conquest are started with lies, fraud and deception.
"When you tell a lie, tell big lies... In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility... In the primitive simplicity of [the mind of the masses] they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying." - Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, 1926, p. 472
I do not think our society could even understand the deep topics of the ol' TV show, let alone make it number 1 show in the country
"...the deep topics of the ol' TV shows"
You must be referring to the Nelson Family(with little Ricky) and Leave it to Beaver. LOL

I guess you dont take time to read the names on all the credits at the end of the shows? Same as it ever was.
CNBC is a Wall Street propaganda operation.
CNBC Motto:
You can fool some of the people all of the time and this is our audience.
CNBC is the ringing bells of the slot machines in a casino.
wow so true.
Bunghole,
Many of the people who were banned from MSNBC and Bloomberg discussions are sitting in this crowd. I recognized the writing style and language of more than a few in there, especially Bloomberg.
Nice tits is a prerequisite at CNBC.While you are mesmorized by what you see ,you will also be unconsciously indoctrinated by their bs.i
When did parrots gain mammary glands? Now, I know why its called 'Squawk Box.'
I'm not mystified at all. I'd say she has DDemystified things quite well here.
And that's just Michelle Caruso-Cabrera. BOOM!
I prefer them firm.
CNBC's declining viewer rates imply that the myth about us blond people supposedly being "more appealing" than other people is just that: A myth. Tastes differ, and there is certainly no absolute standard of beauty.
Bloomberg has a more diverse cast, and surpasses CNBC's viewer ratings by a large margin because of it. That is telling, and does not bode well for white supremacy's many delusions.
Even so
She's got great tits !
she has aged more than obozo in the past 5 years...quite a feat
"when your conscience hits you knock it back with pills"
Yer what happened to Barry ?
Is that make up, almost feel sorry for him 'NOT'
Thanks Squid, I am gonna put that on a T shirt.
pods
"when your conscience hits you knock it back with pills" you forgot the
"and whiskey...'
you forgot the
"and botox..."
And the previous line, "Alimony, alimony, payin' your bills".
Maybe because insipid ideologues like yourself find darkies reading a prepared script far more believable.
"If it ain't white, it's gotta be right."
Mirror image of a Klansman but too dumb to see it.
We get it. You love your White Guilt TM hairshirt.
Who owns Bloomberg TV? .....nuff said
"surpasses CNBC's viewer ratings by a large margin because of it."
Do you have a source or are you just making that up?
"CNBC, which commands three-quarters of the audience among business-news networks, according to Nielsen"
"Bloomberg LP, meanwhile, is rethinking the business model of its TV channel, having failed to turn a profit or draw more than 10% of the audience for TV business news despite being on the air for nearly two decades"
"Nielsen doesn't release Bloomberg TV's ratings."
http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702303332904579224390854395388
CNBC is nothing more than a bunch cheerleaders for the Fed and Wall Street. On top of that, they have asshats like Steve Liesman and Jim Cramer on air. That is why their ratings are dropping.
central banks now control the world...Print and spend...large central banks squeeze make slaves of billions. lets see how well this works as conflicts arise between the mega central banks.
no mystery to demystify here.
CNBC used to do that Power Lunch thing 20 years ago with Joe what's his name and whatever stock they pumped would jump a couple points in the next minute or two. If you were quick, you could buy it and be out by 4pm with a nice profit.
All you need to know is that Steve LIESman is given the first question at FED press conferences.
And PLEASE stop referring to LIESman as an "economist", not that that is any great compliment, but he is NOT a qualified economist but a journalist trained (Badly?) in reporting on Financial matters. Which explains a lot......
And, incidentally, most "News" programmes that have poor ratings (Such as CNBS) get cancelled. So perhaps "Someone" is supporting the message that CNBS is presenting because "Someone" wants to get that message out there? It certainly couldn't be because anyone wants to watch this shite and regular commercial advertisers MUST know that??
Good point. Maybe CNBC is too bad to fail?
"All you need to know is that Steve LIESman is"
He writes lies for the goyim?
CNBC is what convinced me to search for, and read, ZH.
Last time I watched Squawk Box it was hosted by Mark Haines. Smart guy. He called 'bottom' in March 2009. Whatever happened to him?
He dieded of a heart attack when he saw his "stawks account" in 2010.
Fuck CNBS
ALL of TV and ALL of Zollywood is like this.
You watch it and pay for cable or sat TV then you support the whole shit show so don't complain - keep being a sheep.
Poor Freddie.
How many times do I have to tell you?
IT'S NOT REAL. You're NOT supposed to believe that Hollywood and TV ARE REAL and telling you unassailable truths.
It's like bitching you can't find a virgin bride in a whorehouse.
Fuck's sake man, get a grip.
What's mystifying about financial news presented by cleavage? It's all about ratings, baby!
What a bunch of bullshit!
At least Mark Haynes used to give a degree of pushback from alll the carebears and unicorns
And they still have Santelli for truthiness relief
Hedgefunds and the financial markets are run by parasites.
the question should be: is it criminal?
yes
I like to check their website for the pre-written headlines which can be the opposite of what the stock ticker is saying. Reality is for the lesser beings because they've got Cramer.....
Idiots... another attempt at diversion with this story. The real question to ask is, if you take this story at face value: how does the market go up endlessly while main-stream news pumps so Bullishly? Think about that.
How far has the market gone up when adjusted for inflation this year? I do understand your point however. The market will continue to rise gradually until it doesn't simply because people believe that "everything is awesome" with the economy as long as the market rises. Fundamentals and technicals no longer matter because there are not many players in the market anymore; movements are the result of Central Banks buying stocks and company stock buybacks on near zero loans. Most companies are not investing their high profits into new capital projects and the party eventually ends badly for all of us to one degree or another. If we reach a point where there is a serious correction; there will be so many on the sell side and not enough on the buy side to compensate...the next serious fall will be very serious. My apologies for the ramble.
Bandy ( Blew her way to co-anchor) Mandy from the Land Down Under.
Something about Monkeys sitting in front of a Tv and watching the flicker rate, and hypnotism..
but that was a long time ago when people could think.
Was that before "ouche my balls"?
Glad I do not have cable or satellite television or video games; what comes over the local air-waves is bad enough and never suited for children. Even if the "show" is okay; the commercials are not suitable. CNBC (Cartoon News Broadcasting Company) We wonder why children stray so much; we are not providing shade for our children. One generation plants the trees and another enjoys the shade; are we planting anything for our children or leaving them totally exposed?
They're clearly on performance enhancing drugs.
That's just Cramer. But he's always been like that.
If so, then how do you explain such poor performance?
At least Lance won a few races.
'performance enhancing' nudge, nudge
I stopped watching (and listening) way before the Italian lady with the Noo Joisey accent left. I have ground rust off of steel with a grinding wheel that sounded more pleasant than her voice.
Bad news delivered as consistently positive news in conjunction with nice tits makes for high ratings.
That's why FOX News whores are always crossing and uncrossing their legs. All cable TV news is just a bunch of assholes telling each other what they want to hear.
No one cares because there is only the fed, hft, and insider trading, and cnbc is no help with those.
....No shit nobody takes it serious, and nobody advertises with them. All day long the #1 Financial "News" program runs informercials selling razor blades.
Flo of Progressive Insurance spokesperson may have to chuck her tracking device out the car window. She won't want to be tracked down.
:/
It's just awful.... please someone blow them all up..
The only way CNBC can do what it does is through a high level and secret agreement with the Federal Government. It was going out of business after the 2nd Great Depression started and so was approached by the Feds to be the economy cheerleader. Big money talks.
Who cares, they'll end up dodging bullets. These are common day criminals breaking the Constitutional law. Once a couple of high profile NGO'S get taken out. They will digress somewhat.
This NWO is dead in its tracks. Wait for all the House and Senate emails to get leaked. The passage of Fast Track and TPP will be exposed to the international community. What a shame, US democracy is a joke filled with lies and deception.
A lot of US government public service representatives are going to lose their jobs. Count on it.
It's far simpler than that. CNBC is a business attempting to sell commercial airtime to Wall Street firms, many of whom appear as guests on their shows. They're hardly going to be objective if it affects their bottom line. Today it's more entertainment than journalism. It's not just limited to CNBC - it's just about all old media. As sales continue to die at an alarming rate they're more determined not to lose any clients through something that might be deemed 'journalism'. That's coming from a broadcast journalist of 20 years. The industry is on is last legs.
What exactly is a journalist and can you name one or two real journalist within the mainstream or otherwise?
Glen Greenwald, Laura Poitras, Matt Taibbi, Dan Rather.
TV, "journalism" and Zollywood is all about brainwashing, manipulation and CONTROL. If you watch it or pay for it - stop complianing because you enable it.
FOX (666 in numerology) has the best women, but they are such lying whores I would puke on myself/commit suicide if I had sex with one of them.
You're gonna be doing a lot of puking and suicide because that's pretty much just the definition of women.
No doubt neither of you know the fixed moral law given to us by our Creator for our good. Get Christ?
Which fairy tale are you referring to? The Koran, the Torah, or the Bible? There's a bunch of other ones that have fixed moral codes too but I don't remember them.
Oh and btw, I did have the end of my penis chopped off at birth so I'm very well aware of the fixed moreal codes and how they work.
Is the phrase "Get Christ?" Kind of like "Got Milk?"
I assume you have read none of them; that part is obvious. You can never remember that which you do not know. One day you will know for sure when you personally meet face to face with Jesus and you will have what to stand on? Your goodnesss? You did not know? How could I have known? I'm a moral person? or Nothing? You know in your heart that there is more to life than the present reality, for it is built into the fabric of all men unless you are not a man. As it is written. If you are a created being, then you have a Creator just as an automobile has an auto-maker. If you deny you are a created being, then your reason, logic and intellect must be called into question.
I've read quite a bit in the bible but I'm sure that's the only one you've actually read. It's pretty boring actually and I'm not huge on genital mutilation or human sacrifices so it really didn't hit home with me. Also that mass murder thing the israelites do is kind of hard to deal with and I also got the theme that God really likes punishing people, even his own son, for things that he knew they were going to do. He doesn't seem like a nice man, or woman, or I dunno that Holy Ghost guy is a tranny or something I guess.
I might have been created but I don't think that my creator would want part of my penis to be chopped off. Does it make sense that a creator would create foreskin so that the parents of the child would pay money to someone who's an expert at chopping off foreskin? If I created a car I wouldn't decide to put a random worthless gear in the engine and expect the person who bought the car to pay for it to be removed upon delivery of the vehicle, that would be insane.
It's all bullshit, and it's bad for me.
I'm glad that you're interested in my immortal soul (although you show no worry about my penis) but maybe you can try and convince me to save it in a less condescending way, I don't think you're going to get anywhere with most people bullying them into believing they were a car created by the God of cars Henry Ford or something weird like that.
I've read quite a bit in the bible
You have claimed to have read quite a bit in the Bible? Then you will understand that there were THREE Covenants or Dispensations if you have ANY READING COMPREHENSION. We are in the Third and the Final. (A Covenant is a CONTRACT, a promise to be fulfilled..)
I might have been created but I don't think that my creator would want part of my penis to be chopped off.
What does the Bible, specifically the New Covenant, have to say about that?
5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?" (Galatians 5:1-7 KJV)
In fact according to the New Covenant if you are circumcisized and seek justification because of that then you are fallen from grace and have NO HOPE OF SALVATION.
That does not read as if God Almighty wants you to chop off the foreskin of your penis.
Your DISHONESTY is what earned you a RARE JUNK from me. Or was it your SHALLOW THINKING and your LACK OF READING COMPREHENSION that earned you the JUNK?
I REFUSE to make time for the dishonest or the ILLITERATE, both attributes which do not garner respect but are to be reviled as DISGUSTING. I have better activities which are more profitable than to deal with the unworthy.
And when you retort that I am to be patient...well...I am already DAMNED TO HELLFIRE.
But there is a Living God in which there is Life.
Conversely and unfortunately SATAN is also quite alive and real and I am destined for the Second Death.
For many are called but few are chosen. The path to destruction is wide while the path to salvation is narrow and there are very few that find it.
I am not one of those chosen few. But I will still proclaim God's Truth in the hopes that others may avoid my fate.
You may still have a chance but I seriously doubt it.
TLDR but why are you so hostile man? WWJD bro.
Gentlemen,
Have a visit to jesusneverexisted.com.
The problem isn't with the intent of the various faiths, but in the implementation. They never live up to their own ideals. Jesus put it well in Matthew 23. He's a bit long-winded, as usual, but He basically says "You jackasses know all the words and rituals, but you miss the whole damned point!"
He had a lot to say about those who "miss the point" in favor of blind adherence to a complex law code. But it's true of ALL faiths, they begin around a set of noble ideals, but quickly become little man-made constructs that the priestly classes use to enrich themselves, and enslave others.
It's how one LIVES the faith that shows whether they have gotten the point.
Btw, I'm not religious at all, but I am very spiritual...:-)
Then maybe God should stop talking to people in cryptic riddles and strange stories and just start telling us like it is...If there's one theme that is easily gleaned from reading the bible it's that God is a really bad communicator.
I'd rather watch this
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0142080/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
They desperatly need to dump their two most ignorant and insufferable talking heads: Joe Kernan and that Brian whats-his-name character.
Sure, CNBC is mostly positive. Cramer's on the team.
If the blond presenter in the articles photo increases her cleavage display along with perhaps a touch of nipple I could perhaps grant CNBC a minute or two of my time.
Their ratings would increase if the chicks went topless.
they hired the british woman, all the networks have done that, people associate credibility with the brits high sounding delivery, and possibly the BBC. in fact all of america seems to be in love with all things british, one declining empire fawning over the most recent example. i wouldnt want to be a trader who has to trade on all this government data which is just white noise. from the cnbc perspective its all good, news is bad one day, consternate, the news is good the next, effervesce. you dont need huge acting skills. maria was the queen bee, what happened to her. the hive is in chaos
Money honey moved to FOX business news. The network was hoping to drive her lemming followers to advance network ratings. Watching televised stockmarket newz is 20 minutes too late.
FIRST PRINCIPLES: In any "Financial" transaction, there is a Buyer, a Seller, and a Product. Since this is a Financial transaction, the Buyer is obviously the one who pays the money.
Since you don't pay any money to CNBC you are not the Buyer. The Buyers are the Corporate Advertisers, and their needs are number one, not yours.
You (or more properly, your eyeballs) are the Product, which is delivered to the Buyer through the Media of TV.
Put otherwise, since you paid Zero to watch CNBC, it cannot be worth more than Zero. probably less than Zero since there is a risk you might believe anything that gets said on CNBC whether related to Equity levels, impotence, hair loss etc.
Subscribe to Fly on the Wall. Look at the right side of this blog thread. There was a shit storm of issues. Only ZH members of 4-5 years membership can recall.
Don't ask, I won't tell you. What happens on Zerohedge, stays on Zerohedge.
:)
Our only real choice is to take away the power it has over each one of us as individuals. We can fear it ... or we can not. We can envy it ... or we cannot. We can worship at its alter ... or we cannot. It is our choice.
Well put, it's Orwellian alright.
What pharmaceuticals often do before trying to pass a new drug is they fabricate concern over an invented symptom - something that was not considered a disease previously. They plant articles in magazines. Then when the time comes, they tap the pages, to illustrate the need for intervention.
CNBC exists so that there is an official public record of lies and propaganda. Occasionally a time comes when a crook (Rumsfeld, Powell or Paulson etc.) has to defend himself. He goes in front of a bought and paid for judge, speaks in front of a bought and paid for jury, he claims that he acts in accordance to legitimate intel, then points to his own fabricated evidence planted in mainstream media, and walks off the stage handcuff-free. Then he goes down in history like Bernanke - "A Hero!"
In old days you could bribe a cardinal and be washed of your sins. These days the sociopaths employ legal institutions and media to do the same job. They just want to have a clean record in case eternal hell awaits them on the other side.
It doesn't matter if any actual person watches the channel. It's there almost exclusively for people who manufacture its content. All the views might as well be done by phantom Facebook users. It doesn't matter one bit. That's now what the channel is for.
It's a public record reposidory for thieves and murderers.
I stopped watching CNBC years ago.
But then, I got out of the markets years ago.
I'm 100% in cash, gold and silver, plus my home....so, I guess I'm not an "investor", either.
CNBS is the peanuts and korn of my morning... Then I flush.
If you like your propaganda extra crispy, tune into CNBS.
Infomercial always has been always will be.
.
Russel Brand (not a fan) was on CNBC or similar garbage and making fun of the three idiots right to their face but they had no realization of it because of his swanky bri'ish accent. They giggled like nervous school kids.
CNBC = Bullshit
Although....I'd motor board the hell out of that bitch in the pic.
Water board her or motor boat her? Both?
Motorboarding, the new 100% effective way to get a confession, and a boner.
Nice "bingo wings" Mandy.
CNBC has two priorities - lift the markets and lift the breasts of its female anchors.
I would google that but I'm at work. Wouldn't bingo wings be the underarm flap of old ladies that shakes when they scream BINGO!
I just go to the CNBC website and perform a search of Rick Santelli and his latest videos.
I will only watch those, nothing else. He has a traders view from being in the pits in Chicago.
Carl Quintanilla says he always goes to Valparaiso and French Lick Indiana in his tweets to me.
I said bring it on for lunch and/or dinner, my treat to discuss CNBC issues and bring along Rick.
Got "crickets" on that note. Has NEVER responded since then.
It was Rick Santelli that got me watching CNBC. They used to do his bits from the floor at that Chicago place (it looked different then), and they had this weird lighting on him. Every time he smiled, the light caught his teeth, and all you'd see was this Cheshire Cat smile...It fascinated me, I couldn't take my eyes off it. Even my kids were fascinated by it..."Oh look, there he goes...AAAAHHHH! All you see are his TEETH!"
But have you seen his boobs? Yuck!
Oh yeah, French Lick. Just down the path from the bustling metropolis that IS Paoli, IN.
Hey don't knock it. There's a famous ski resort in Paoli.
It's in southern IN though, so they don't always have snow.
Oh yeah, French Lick. Just down the path from the bustling metropolis that IS Paoli, IN.
I often wonder if they actually believe the swill they serve up? I know they have zero remorse for the untold thousands they led to financial devistation in the past. How many elderly, naive, and poor do you think they have destroyed? More than Stalin, Hitler, or Pol Pot? Know this: if you don't dance to their music on their website, they will block you. They are the worst kind of filth.
and next in line for worst business show is stewy varney. what a senile tool he has become.
Since everything is fake, at least the tits are real.
Are you sure of that?
CNBC's only value, like the the rest of the noiZ-media, is in understanding the what, why, how, and when of their propaganda--what they are selling.
Liberty is a demand. Tyranny is submission..
"And this just in, Zion is up again on strong trading..."
CNBC is utter drivel with idiots asking the questions. I am especially pleased that fat old guy who wore the stars and stripes tie is dead. What a tosser.
CNBC is free. Fox and Bloomberg are subscription services.
Put on bigger Bolt Ons, bitches, in a larger size; for the liars, fade em at every PIMP for their Pimps.
"CNBC serves an indispensible shamanistic function, providing a kind of ideological placebo that calms everyone down by offering a series of comforting myths.
At this, it succeeds wildly."
-Hmmm- Kind of like the "Soma" substance theorized in Huxley's Brave New World, doncha think...?
If nobody watches CNBC does it really exist?
CNBC fell in a forest and nobody heard a goddamned thing.
Well it seems they are not the only one.
Look what happened to Colt !

Chapter 11 ! who'd have thought of that.
I'm sure the NRA is not pleased.
In the age of shamans, austro-libertarian, monetarist or neo-Keyesian, who cares about reality?
Back testing in the ephemeral age of instant drowning in statistics, and short term BTFD plays conducted via HFT algos, is beyond rational feed back analysis. It is totally in a world of make belief.
And the monopoly players know that. Make, bend and repackage the rules until you close your hold tight and all the sheeple have lost their heads in the cloud of "what you see is not what you'll get but what you'll hope to get".
But in the meantime spin the tale that wags the devil's tail !
As you are in the game just for ONE thing : PROFIT (ah, to hold the devil by his tail and get him to point to the erstwhile pot of gold, what a screamy dream of Faust.) Carl Icahn is running with his 2 billion from Netflix to make his point!
The rest is beyond shamanism, its consequences, and you don't wanna go there until IT IS THERE!
Pot of gold? What pot of gold? Its lead baby, lead, and it comes from the barrel of a Colt!
Devil's tales and forked tails ! Never demystify the devil's advocate!
CNBC stories are pretty rare lately.
Mercifully, Bitcoin stories are too.
Cleavage.
99% of the financial industry is selling, not telling, and definitely not about doing what’s best for clients.
Italics won't get you anywhere on ZH. Go BOLD next time!
"Scientists have discovered a powerful new strain of fact-resistant humans who are threatening the ability of Earth to sustain life, a sobering new study reports."

Propaganda 101. Right up there with "paper gold". ROFL!
Butt look at her bodacious ta-tas which contain far more truth than the utterances that spew forth from her lugubrious mouth. Yes.
Didn't Maria Barforama get her first tricks on CNBC?
CNBS PAID LIARS>>> Liesman king of truth. LOL
