Stocks Give Up "Greece Doesn't Matter" Gains; Oil Drops, VIX Pops

Tyler Durden's picture

There was only one clip for today...

But Greece is priced in and doesn't matter anyway right?

Not off the lows...

Futures how the day's moves with a hope-driven ramp early on (based on absolutely nothing) that tumbled after mixed data (spending up - but only because energy prices are up; and PMIs down and ugly) only to extend losses after EU Leaders cancelled the summit, walked away, and said "game over"

Post-FOMC gains are dissolving...

VIX jumped back above 14 (was 11 handle 2 days ago)...

Trannies closed at their lowest since Oct 20th 2014... and are lower than they were in early june 2014!

Trannies are in the red YoY!!

The big news - Healthcare! Between Managed Care M&A and SCOTUSCARE (but gains in the broad healthcare saw losses for Biotechs as ETF paits trades implied weakness)...

NFLX pooped the bed again - biggest 2 day drop since Oct 2014 earnings collapse...

Greek Stocks and US Stocks "coupled"...

Treasury yields were mixzed with the short- and long-end unch and belly slighlty higher - though bid after a striong 7Y auction traded through...

The dollar was deadstick despite some early turnoiling in Swissy and EUR...

Silver & Gold slipped lower once again as did Crude (with coppers China drop v-shape recovering)...

Charts: Bloomberg

Bonus Chart: The Greek Debt meetings will continue...

It doesn't matter. The market won't (be allowed to) drop until the last greater fool has piled in.

I’m getting a bit tired of all of you Debbie Downers.

Trannies might be down, and their unions and pensions are totally f’d, but airline executive management pay and options are way up.

Other good news is that Jamie Dimon is still richer than you, Lloyd Blankein is still doing God’s work and the SEC, CFTC and Loretta Lynch will rout out all of the financial scamsters.

Greece will pay off all of its Goldman Sachs/JPM/Doouchebag Bank debt and best of all.. Barack Hussein Obama, oo oo oo, by Executive Order will dismiss the 3 holdouts on the Supreme Court,  fire all of the House of Representatives and by decree assume the title of Supreme Chancellor in the USA.

What more could you possibly want?

it's called distribution after the huge accumulation..

they will sell it into the ground and laugh their asses off no matter what the prices are because they already made their money.

..and then they will start it all over again.

I think there is a pretty good argument to be made that something like that isn't necessary anymore, nor is it possible without fundamentally altering the way this big old world spins. I would say we're at the point where they will be working to maintain what they have, despite what the media is reporting, while slowly siphoning the masses off the system. Through varying "means" of course.

The whole project is ego driven... no different to every war (hot, cold or financial) that has ever been fought... what amazes me is how the bullshit continues on in this Fiat currency, nothing is as it seems, upside down world.. Maybe the whole thing is a game/matrix of deception and the people are in a deeper sleep that we on ZH realise.

Regardless, I believe I woke from that sleep a year ago, got an alternative education on ZH and consequently got into gold bullion and now I want to give something back.

For those of you not actually in the physical metal .. I can highly recommend it.. because no matter what goes on in the EU Punch and Judy show... my stress levels reduced 90% knowing I have some bullion.

You might think I'm just spamming, but I'm not... I'm deadly serious!  I got involved in a German company called Karatbars International who produce Gold Bullion in small weights and boy am I glad on various levels.

They developed an incredibly lucrative affiliate marketing system to get their product to market... Its free to join at the basic level although if you decided to go all in to earn the highest commissions the buy in price is essentially peanuts... FFS my day job Personal Indemnity insurance costs more per month!!

The downside is it's more a mass education programme than marketing,,, because aside from ZeroHedgers the financial IQ out there is well down the trickle down economic cascade and those people need to be educated to get some AU!

I know there are lots of you out there that would love to get your hands on bullion and get the money to acquire it from actually helping some of the lambs lined up for the slaughter - We could actually be doing something worthwhile.

Check out my website www.teamramgold.com its only a simple website to give a snapshot of the programme, but feel free to get in contact with me and I'll show you an incredible system. It could be the most lucrative email you will ever write..

And yes OK I am pitching (a bit) but if you get the programme you will understand why.. I'm a capitalist but with a social conscience.

“Buyin’ the Euphoria”       from “Going to California”       by Led Zeppelin

Spent and dazed as the market climbed
Shorted some stuff and lost my last dime
Made up my mind to make a new start
Buyin’ this euphoria with an aching in my heart
Someone told me there’s a stock out there
With a P/E of 5 and Corporate buying all the shares

Took my chances on a big bet in trains
Never let them tell you that they're all the same
Oh, my chart was red and my mood turned grey
Wondered how my sorrow could ever eclipse today’s
As the trading desk started to tremble and shake
The children took my gun and threw it in the lake

It seems Hilsenrath and the Feds had a hunch we’d break lower
And it’s startin’ to show, I think we might be sinking
Check ‘Value Line’ for me just one more time
Need a few shares where the path runs straight and high

A stock that’s green without the swings
So I can smoke cigars and cry as Karen Peris sings (la la la)
Kill the white bear dancing on my front lawn
Tryin’ to find a stock that never, never, never gets sold
Sitting near the highs on a mountain of green
Asking myself:  is this as hard, hard, hard as it seems?

More importantly.... We are done here now right? Everyone's had their fill, got their kicks, said their piece ya? And now we can resolve this little situation?
You know I'd love to move on and focus on some much more important matters then these financial soap operas, but that's just not going to happen until we reach an agreement of sorts....

Well there is a wide plethora of information n the Internet that you can distract yourself with.

And if you truly believe that we can reach any agreement of sorts and that there are actual solutions then you have just set yourself up for some disappointment due to your unrealistic expectations.

So no we are not done here as the fraudulent and corrupted paradigm still exists and there is still an overabundance of Financial Repression globally.

But you can be excused if you choose.

Otherwise pass the popcorn and watch the disaster unfold. It may be somewhat like watching ships sink or grass grow.

Here. If it pleases you you can watch a flawed real time video of the sinking of the Titanic. It is 2 hours and 42 minutes with some decent Classical Music while watching a representation of the deaths of over 1500 people.

Perhaps it is more suitable to your attention span...which is better than 30 seconds I assume.

Indeed there is a good deal of great information to be had on the Internet, which I intend to absorb as well as contribute to in the future. The thing is that it has been proven to me repeatedly that my privacy, which is not confined strickly to google searches, be disregarded for gains and unnecessary abuse to myself. That is just not happening any longer.

You can take my word that I have already experience plenty of disappointment. If you are unaware of what I'm referring to then I would say your not the man to be negotiating with. The expectations I hold were not set by myself, but rather suggested on more then one occasion by more then one party. I have made repeated attempts to clarify the situation but no one seems prepared to take responsibility.

For the record. I did not call you guys, you guys called me. I left this place more then once, save for quick visits to make comparisons to other media, but was coerced back into commenting here through some rather personal means. I'm tired of this shit. Why? Because at the end of the day, I delivered what was expected in a timely and accurate fashion, despite the bullshit, and was treated like an asshole in return. You guys knew what kind of person I was, and what I brought to the table 3 years ago. I was both generously reasonable, and unreasonably generous throughout that time.

Only certain groups of people are financially repressed Tom, there are plenty of individuals who know of no financial boundaries, but would rather hide their money or continue to invest in the insane shell game currently at play, then invest it in someone/something unconventional. They pretend like they care about the world around them but their actions say otherwise.

Bottom line, I've earned the opportunity to make an attempt at this my own way, without all of the whispering voices, online matrix, and unreasoanbe demands for monetary gain. There are very real solutions available to compete with the abusive system we are caught in, the only issue is that they do not promise an immediate return monetary gain. Is it possible to make money? Yes, but there is a fair amount of R&D and marketing to be done first. You guys want to keep your front row seats and options to interject, that's fine, but you need to deliver on your end of the bargain.

It may be fine for you witness. But some of us have a horizon beyond the life expectancy of this facade and get little enjoyment from this slow, intentional extermination of life.

Greece is just a sideshow. Let's just consider that nearly all major US banks failed in 2008-09 and were subsequently bailed out via TARP, ZIRP and mark-to-anything accounting rules.

That puts us in the nexus of the long depression. By varying standards the Great Depression lasted from October 1929 until January of 1942. That is 13 long years. It wasn't evenly dispersed by geography, ethnicity or trade, but it nevertheless affected everyone in some way, shape, or form.

So, by my numbers, we are in year 7 and will hit year 8 in October. Five more years of shit is probably being optimistic. Odds are that the central bankers will screw things even more royally than they already have, and we'll be talking about the "good old days" of ZIRP in 2022.

I'm trying to act normally and deal with the blows from the economy in a reasonable manner, but it is becoming more and more difficult with each passing day.

I'd venture to guess that today, every adult in America has broken at least three laws or skirted as many regulations. Our politicians can now be seen in true light, as complete sell-outs to the Wall Street horde. Nobody listens to them any more and nobody should. Laws don't matter any more either, since the various government agencies practice selective enforcement.

Best advice is to hold onto what you've got, keep cash, gold, silver, tools, some survival stuff and engage in barter or cash-only dealings as much as possible. It is a proven fact that the underground economy during prohibition was larger than the "regular" economy. Let's push for a similar condition.

Banks continue to push money at people via 0% initial rates and/or balance transfers. I say use their money against them. If push comes to shove, default. Many of us have little to nothing to lose.

Good luck. You'll need some of that, too.

With apologies to the Bard:

.

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
lend me your ears i.e., grant me a moment
I come to bury Euros, not to praise them.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Euros. The noble Braghi
Hath told you Euros was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Euros answer'd it.
Here, under leave of Braghi and the rest—
For Braghi is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men—
Come I to speak in Euros's funeral.
They were my friends, faithful and just to me;
But Braghi says he was ambitious;
And Braghi is an honourable man.
He hath brought many Greekies home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill;
Did this in Euros seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Euros hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Braghi says he was ambitious;
And Braghi is an honourable man.
