On this day (of all days) I would like to talk about treason.
What does everyone think about that word...treason...or the act of treason? For fully 80% of people I would hazard a guess that the word has a negative connotation in their mind.
And why is that?
Because thats what they've been "taught" by government, that treason is a bad thing, a negative. And of course, a tyranical government (or ANY government) would, wouldn't they? But is it negative, really?
I would say unequivocally no.
It was a treasonous act (war) that the barons committed against King John. It was a treasonous act of our ancestors perpetrated on King George's "rule" in the 1700's, wasn't it?
Sic semper tyrannis, is by definition...treason ;-)

I understand our opinion about WWII but even that event was contrived, I believe. Britain had access to the Nazi Enigma cypher and probably was able to read more of those messages than what we have been told. The USA has access to all three Japanese cyphers.
