Official Greferendum Results Show "No" Landslide: Singular Logic Projects "Oxi" Victory

Tyler Durden's picture

Update: The Greek interior ministry vendor Singular Logic projects that “No” vote will prevail with over 61% of vote in Greek referendum.

It would seem that the Troika's fearmongering campaign backfired:

And:

Earlier:

It seems the early forecasts showing the No vote in the lead were right: according to the Ministry of the Interior, with over 31% of the vote counted, the "No's" have a resounding lead with well over 60% of the vote.

Keep track of the votes as they come in live at the following page:

To clarify, I'll quote from a half-dozen or so Tyler-authored articles on Greece: "If the latest [ECB extortion attempt] doesn't result in a deal on Monday, the Greeks have only themselves to blame."

This is what comes of getting most of your 'analysis' from one-sided MSM regurgitations of ECB insistence on the physically impossible.

I'll say it again: What cannot be repaid, won't be.

And that's true even if it's a socialist government who's saying it, and even if it's all of 'hard-working upstanding' Germany who's denying it.

The EU elites, certainly. As for the German and other European peoples, I would never wish them any more misfortune. Their elites have made some Faustian bargains and I hope that those elites regret it. It may be a good time for the good Europeans to revisit some of their Middle-ages morality plays.

Faustian bargains and "horrible heatwave". You have the sensitive soul of a poet, Ajax. Great moniker!

I recall, in junior high school, being frustrated that my hero, Ajax, was called Aias or some such in the Iliad. Doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely as Ajax. Later, I would grow more and more sympathetic towards Hector. I guess I am a sucker for underdogs and the noble losers of history. Let us hope that this is not a Pyrrhic victory over the banksters. The Greeks have my total respect for thumbing their noses at the Sword of Damocles hanging over their heads, no matter how this plays out.

Pleased to hear from you!

That reaction reminds me of Iceland. The SHEER OUTRAGE of the creditors. And after that... the country was left on its own, to sink or swim as a country.

I have no problem with that result, for Iceland, Greece, or any other country. Greece may not be left alone, however, since it has some strategic advantages over Iceland, that certain military groups want.

OUTRAGE is all these creditors have as a weapon, and that will be over soon enough.

The real-world consequences of trying to rebuild a nearly-failed economy, however, are just beginning.

At least Greece can soon begin this work. The rest of the 'west' has postponed even the beginning of this rebuilding, and will have that much more work to do when it finally comes.

The Greeks have demonstrated that they are a  strong brave people. I know that if the same sort of vote were to occur in the UK that we would vote to remain chained to the post and sucking at the teat. We (The UK) are a shameful shadow of our former selves.  Just look at the Scottish independence vote, too scared to vote for freedom because it might cost them a few quid in their pockets. What price freedom?

Valavani will open the vaults and there will be a haircut on gold, cash, and whatever the hell Greeks have stockpiled in safeboxes. Just in!!!

CORRECTION:

Slightly disappointing, she will open them so clients can withdraw documents only. I still think this opens the possibility for checks on bank vaults, considering that Nicoloudis, the Minister for Corruption, was one of the first to discuss the topic. Also Valavani is known for being radical in her proposal for scrutiny.

I support the vote because the outcome will destroy the European Union...a socialist regime.

I do not support the Government theft of personal capital.

If you wanted socialism, which it seems that you do, then you needed to have voted OXI, to stay in the EU.

Greece currently is EXPERIENCING the consequences of Socialism.

It seems as if you cannot identify the enemy.

You have got a long and painful road ahead of you which is very sad.

Do Keynesians ever learn anything?

Note to Krugman: Greece Proves Keynesian Economics Wrong

"Liberals are gearing up to use Krugman’s Greek fable of “Keynes has won” to justify further trillions of U. S. debt and growing government to ever greater heights, as Timescolumnist Nicholas Kristof reveals in his In Athens, Austerity’s Ugliness:

“Europe declared war on Keynes, and Keynes is winning…If you want to know how well (Republican budget cutting) works, come visit Europe — especially Greece. Yes, Greece needed a wake-up whack and economic reform, but Republican-style austerity knocked the patient unconscious.”

Now Russia and China should step in with a major Gas distribution pipeline hub. China should invest heavily in a major tourism upgrade to lure Chinese middle class to vaction in Greece, bring billions in dollars and jobs. These two alone would provide jobs and provide transit fees on a permanent basis. These are two simple beginnings they can make. More can be done.

The EU has nothing to offer but debt and unemployment.

be too obvious, they will do coups, cause major chaos and dry up all financial instruments. It will be a fight between the BRICS and the banksters to keep things going until they can stabalize the whole event.

Short term, pain is going to be there.

But you are dead on the money on their usual MO.

Sorry for the belated reply. I suppose that a conspiracy theory is a cop out. Not offering a particular agent, that I feared could be easily refuted, I have a weak argument, I know.

I suspect that Russian ultra-nationalists did it without Putin's knowledge or blessing. Putin is fighting an intractable foe. Even if he was Machiavellian enough to have ordered it, the ends may justify the means. The ramifications of that assassination may not be fully known for 50 years or more. If my culture and country was nearly encircled and I believed we were fighting for our very existence, I can't say that I wouldn't do the same to slow the enemy's advance. It doesn't make it right, but name a major power that hasn't used assassination.

No problem, btw I like Harlan Ellison as well.

So now we move from vague conspiracy theory to maybe it was done by ultra nationalists without approval to finally even if it was an assasination making weak apologies for it and pointing out that others have used assasination as well ?

No to evil bankers who create BS money from nothing and then expect countries and people to borrow it. Then seize the assets and real resources with this fake BS money!

Who in their right mind could imagine that nations like US, Canada, Russia etc would have to "borrow" from private entities?? It makes no sense at all. The state should issue its own money, it should not come from these evil money changers. NO to them!!

Jesus turned over the money changers table, Greeks have done it again today.

A fair point. I know there's a lot of muddle and confusion about Left & Right, but Syriza are widely seen as Left due to their hard core Statism.

See the latest article here on ZH about plans to nationalise the banks.

My own yardstick is how dedicated to Statism a party is.

Greeks, do not stop, keep going. Others to follow soon. The last in EU turn off the light.

Next week vote for this platform:

Fuck EU. Let Russians and Chinese build brand new navy bases on few out of thousand of islands you have and now subsidize.

Drop EU and euro for drachma, Default on all the debt. Put oligarchs in jail. Make pace with Turkey. After south stream join silicon road from which collect toll on everything EU and German mofos need and enjoy your great culture, literature, philosophy, wine and plenty of R&R and let Germans sweat.

Europeans would beg for drachmas backed by massive gold of Russia and China and their commodity and economic power. You will eat EU lunch just in few years.

Make a stand against your EU slave masters, do not let them plunder your rich and beautiful country.

Drop old corrupted recalcitrant political structures organize from ground up new Hellenistic movement, first international movement of de-centralization and de-globalization of the world power as a sole purpose.

Open peoples eyes to horrible human and material cost of globalization.

Quit imperial power project once and for all, embrace your nation, embrace future of your children.

Let the eternal fire of Olympus be the spark of new XXI century world revolution of ordinary peoples's against western state/private tyranny and financial enslavement.

A revolution, first of all, of mind and soul, free of greed, betrayal, social alienation and atomization.

A revolution condemning fascists' disregard for individual human dignity and solidarity of mankind.

After you voted NO to exploitation and intimidation of EU bankers' mafia now vote YES for your future.

You are funny in your ignorance of what's going on. West recently tried to destroy Russia and failed. Western investors flocked to  Russian as bets performing Market in the world.

With all this fascist propaganda, US & EU made Russia stronger instead. Now they're pasturing against China to have their nose bled soon. They are getting weaker and weaker cruising for bruising to cover up their impotence and to hold on to dying illusion of imperial power.

Open your eyes man, look around you. Most EU governments have 15% approval or less, people even in Germany are fed up paying Deutsche Bank debts, that Merkel loaded on them in  2010.

Germans are on  hook for 130 billions euro if Greece defaults, there is no way they can pass bill to pay it otherwise Merkel is out.

Even MSM media admits, this is not economic problem it is political problem of power, the straggle of wills of recalcitrant EU power structure and enslaved nations. If this was about money why the support for bankrupt non-EU Ukrainian government.

This is all about politics an its not funny unless your comedian.
