Hillary Ropes Off "Everyday" Reporters, Creates Media Spectacle
In case anyone forgot, Hillary Clinton — whose demands for a keynote speech appearance include a quarter of a million dollars, a private jet ("a Gulfstream 450 or larger), and $1,000 for a stenographer — is running for "everyday Americans."
Presumably, these are the "folks" who make up the 83% of American workers classified by the BLS as "non supervisory" and probably include those whose job it is to report the news, which is why we were surprised (not really) to see that when it comes to "everyday" reporters, covering a Clinton rally means being herded along like cattle inside a moving rope pen which looks to have been designed to separate the former First Lady from 'the rest of us':

The media has predictably had a field day with the images. It's not yet clear what impact the debacle will have on Clinton's ability to "rope in" voters so to speak.

There actually was a truck with an elevated camera shooting her 'walk' so I sort of think the intent was to show her during the walk as a 'normal' American. By roping off reporters the camera was able to capture her without a flood of reporters in her face. But the rope thing will turn into another PR debacle, so the footage will likely.get canned.
Put some of the blame on the press - they seem intent these days to stick a camera in every candidates face and yell goofy questions at the candidates - trying to get a newsworthy response. The Sunday news talk shows are just as bad - any candidate gets a lengthy question with contradictory points and often filled with misquotes and snippets of what the candidate previously said. Polite candidates simply stumble through an answer rather than saying what they really think -- "You're an idiot!"

Its a very impolite treatment at the very least, making journalists look like cattle that couldnt respect certain distance on their own if asked nicely. Very impolite. Also notice this doesnt apply to side people which are free, making this bad bias towards journalists even worse.

What they should do is treat journalists with the respect they recieve in places like Russia, China and the middle east or africa, right ?
There are ways to deal with that other than roping them like a cattle. For example warn them of ban next time they broke rules, or keep them aside with other people - all being barricaded in a normal way and so forth. Or if nothing else they could just use guards not to let them too close as is usual practice, but not a damn rope lol ;).
