The Global War On Pensions Gets Personal - Scenes From A Dying Nation
We have been warning about the 'global war on pensioners' for a while (most recently here, here, and here) but the soul-destroying images of Greek pensioners' hopes being crushed bring that central-bank-driven repression front-and-center...
As The Wall Street Journal reports, fear is growing in Greece as the decisive hour nears for the nation...
Greek banks will likely run out of cash by the end of the week, two senior Greek bankers said.
“Not all banks will run out of cash at once,” one of the bankers said, “but they’ll all be out within hours of each other.”
...
Shortages of medications are beginning to bite, compounding distress especially among older Greeks.
Parents of babies and young children are stocking up on formula and other basic medications, pharmacists say.
“In some cases, we have shortages because people are freaking out panic-buying. We’re trying to advise them against that,” said Mando Nikolopoulou, a pharmacist.
“We’re seeing significant shortages in heart and blood-pressure medications, but I’m less worried about that because there are Greek-made generics that people can turn to when the branded ones run out for good,” she said. “But insulin, that’s critical—diabetics need it to survive, and we’re really low on stocks.”
...
Yiannis Konstantinidis, a 74-year-old grandfather to two little girls, refused to join the queue, even though he could have done with an extra €60 ($66)—the maximum daily withdrawal amount under capital-control rules.
“I brought the kids to have a bit of fun, to buy them ice cream,” he said as 6-year-old Chryssa pulled on his hand. “They may be young but they know something’s wrong. The television is playing at home all day, there are people lining up at the banks, they’re asking me ‘what’s happening, Grandpa?’”
“I just want Tsipras to get a deal, any deal, but it looks like the Europeans are fed up with us now,” Mr. Konstantinidis said, adding he had voted with the minority of Greeks who backed the creditors’ proposals, which he believed would secure the country’s euro membership despite hitting pensioners like himself hard.
All mainstream news is painting the Greeks as the bad guys and the Troika as the savior of Europe. Quite frankly, it is really disgusting. Pictures of an elderly Greek pensioner have gone viral depicting what the Troika is deliberately doing to the Greek people trying to punish them for their own failed design of the Euro in a system that is just economically unsustainable.
[The images above] expose the core of the issue of how ordinary Greeks are being tormented by EU politicians who pretend to care about people. This is not a Greek debt crisis, this is a Euro Crisis and they refuse to admit that what they designed was solely for the takeover of Europe at the cost of the future of everyone from pensioners to the youth.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. We are facing terrible times ahead because socialism is completely collapsing. Government employees have lined their pockets and this is precisely the end game how Rome collapsed. It was not the barbarians at the gate. It was the the Roman army was not paid and they began hailing their various generals as emperor and the attacked cities who did not support their choice sacking their own people. Only after weakening themselves, then the barbarians came in for easy pickings. If Russia really wants to take Europe, all they have to do is be patient. They will self-destruct for the Troika cannot see any change in thinking for that means they must admit that they were wrong from the outset.

Who will buy lottery tickets now? No way people who work for a living will fill the gap.
...and then you die.
(How the story of every man's life ends.)
Coming to a western country near you
That my friend is a mathematical certainty.
NEVER FORGET THE GLOBALIST BANKERS ARE THE ONES TO BLAME
Never give them their NWO common currency. Never allow their private banks to create their debt enslaving money out of nothing and make it legal tender. Never cede them your national sovereignty no matter what. Never let them buy your whore politicians again.
The evidence of the inevitable final outcome for all of us is now before your eyes...
TPP- just saying.
Of course politicians love pensions, they can pretend to offer something in 30 years for which they are not responsible for since they will be out of office aka actually making good on the promise is someone else’s problem.
Those dang pensioneers! now they know what the young feel like in Greece, No job, No money, NO HOPE! This will teach em!
Buy Silver, that's your pension.
Or trust the unfunded liabilities of govts
There isn't a global war on pensioners. There is a global war by pensioners on the young, and the tides are turning.
I will continue hammering this point home: the old brought this upon themselves. You cannot expropriate an infinite amount of wealth from the young and the productive. Have no pity for these crooked fools. They've earned everything they're getting, and, no, it wasn't the fault of the evil bankers and/or the politicians. They were merely responding to the market demand for unfunded delusions, and they delivered.
Quite agree! It's a battle, it's a struggle, but none of us must forget whose side we're on.
The countries that claimed to be socialist - e.g. East Germany, the Soviet Union, People's China, Cuba and Vietnam - had in common that they were post-revolutionary societies where the capitalist class had been removed from power, struggling to solve the problems of producing and exchanging goods in the face of unrelenting hostility, threats, blackmail, sabotage, massive propaganda warfare and sometimes military assaults from the banker-controlled capitalist world. The resulting societies inevitably were militarized, defensive, secretive, repressive - organized for survival in what amounted to a permanent state of war. The terrible hardships and in many cases ultimate failures which the people of these post-capitalist societies endured, and how far they fell short of their hopes and dreams, are still held up to this day as proof that life without banksters doesn't work.
The bankster-ruled system we have now is crusning the small and independent investors and capitalists. The prospect of a post-revolutionairy America where an angry and bitter population has overthrown the rule of the banksters and economic life is organized (at least at first) by block committees of public safety, factory committees and commissions is even more horrifying. But this need not be the choice.
There is now a very widespread consensus in America, throughout at least the bottom 90%, that the system is broken, we need a revolution and we will have one. Yet there is also a widespread belief among the people in the possibility of a return to a "free market" capitalism. What we will get will in part depend on whether the readers of ZeroHedge take and hold true to Zer0head's oath. When the battle boils down to two sides, as it must, will you be on the people's side of the barricaides and remain "part of the solution", or will you flee to the banksters' side for safety?
^ What he said! Calling this failing socialism is something I think you can only say in the US. The rest of the world have a more nuanced understanding of what socialism really is...and whats failing in Greece and slowly in the rest of the world as well definitely isn't socialism.
The corner grocery the first stop light from my house threw in the towel today. The guy who has run it since 1965 said the regulations were too much to overcome. Said he threw out more aasprin than he sold.
Yet multibillion dollar mega-corporations are violating laws, regulations, tax-codes daily.
We don't have any socialism in this world, and, apparently, we no longer have capitalism either.
What do we have? A weird kind of fascist state communism for the elite, but we need a good
label, and that's not it.
Nobody sells fascism. They sell all other "isms" to get fascism.
Its all about legitimizing a legal framework to funnel power and money to a few. It is simply a fact that the more leftist the "ism" the faster it happens.
I'm at a total loss for why people believe in isms. This point seems to be lost on most people, but I'll give it another go, we behave in what we deem to be our self interest regardless of the legal construct we are expected to follow. The reason why it is practically impossible to identify and characterize what economic form a nation takes at any one point in time is because the target is constantly moving. By the time you have enough data to make an argument, the economy has moved onto something else.
The point is this, describing different forms of economy/government is akin to describing the different types of penii that penetrate you during your prison stay. Some may hurt more than others, but focusing on which one has more veins is quite trivial, if not wholly irrelevant. Rather, the trick is to not get raped in the first place and fixing the problem requires a solution that ends in a not so sore asshole.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Further, power consolidates and as power grows, more force can be exerted. Government, while necessary on a rudimentary level to ensure that there is even a game to be played, becomes onerous at a certain point, simply acting as a force multiplier for powered interests.
In short, regardless of the economic system a society attempts to utilize, the result is the same, different starting positions combined with self interest creates power differences that become more exploited over time. This is, in part, why we have boom and bust cycles... there really isn't a natural check or balance to the process. The printing press is more of a symptom than a cause.
Too much common sense for this country. Too many march in the free-sxxt army now.
BANKSTERISM is the only ism I know of.........
Elitism; everything worldwide is run for the rich and will continue. BTW, in the land of circus and unicorns, the Confederate flag remains the lead story.
The failing system is not any type of "ism". The system which is currently failing is a system of ignorance and cowardice. An ignorance by those who do not understand the consequences of unsustainable policy, and a cowardice by those who understand but refuse to act in any meaningful way.
"When the battle boils down to two sides, as it must, will you be on the people's side of the barricaides and remain "part of the solution", or will you flee to the banksters' side for safety?"
There will not be two sides. It will not be that simple. There will be many factions aligned along a mixture of ethnic, religions, ideological, and economic interests.
No, the system is failing because no one is allowed to sit in peace under their own damn tree and mind their own business. The cycle we're entering they were showing everybody intently with that freak Jenner, an olympic hero fallen into a whipped pussy, literally. That's whats been done to humanity. A severe lack of balls on this planet.
It's not a bail in or a bail out, it's Baal in and Baal out. They never stopped throwing sacrifice's to it, and they never will. Why do you think it's called liquidity, the flood of previous global catastrophe was a liquidity event too, it's a never ending and repeating a cycle. Whatever it is that runs this place has no qualms about ripping it all down and starting over from scratch. Even our language is rigged, currency, are we talking cash or power, cause they're the same thing. As above this dimension, so below in this shit hole.

was going to bash muricans, but it's much more widespread.
people confuse socialism with fascism and are told to fear it, but then are told that fascism is capitalism.
National Socialism...
Socialist Communist bullshit!
The murderous regimes of communists had nothing to do with capitalism, and everything to do with the willingness to kill, torture and imprison millions for the sole purpose of imposing an ideological regime.
So it wasn't the inherent flaw in socialism, that we are born unequal and to make humans equal requires coercion/violence/theft?
the inference that socialism implies all people are equal or are to be treated as equal shows you have no understanding what socialism is.
Sometimes it's implied directly, other times indirectly (ie: national socialism).
TECH. Don't forget the SiliCON valley TECH and the real purpose it serves.
This started with the constitution: Comparison of Constitution and Articles of Confederation
Very true for western countries that have economies built on quicksand (services). They could see a massive drop in GDP.
"...that have economies built on quicksand (services)."
How do you define what GOOG, FB, AMZN etc etc provide? Aren't they "services" which the rest of the world wants very much?
Yes, if we return to the Mad Max world, then the actual making of things (guns and ammo, preferably) will be the only way to go. Otherwise, not so much.
These "people" - and most Zero Hedge folks know who they are - have been conducting war, trade, social deprivation, trialling medicines, vicious "austerity" on many many countries around the world, but now, all that practice has yielded results that they are going to try closer to home.
Greece is close, but this will will get closer and before you know it - everything that these ziocons have done to billions of people over the world (yes, many of them, black, brown, yellow, red, and white) - they will do this to you and I.
They must be stopped.
How? I created a dummy s.n. account to take on the liberal statists who were regurgitating govt talking points and official narrative at sickening levels of absurdity and positivity. This was happening on one of the major liberal newspapers s.n. account, where there were tons of comments. After a week of making well reasoned points til i was blue in the face, my s.n. account was locked out with a weird security request. Zuck wanted me to scan one of five acceptable varieties of id and send it for review before they would let me back in. That scared the crap out of me. Now we know Zucks in it with the liberals, even sharing his treasure trove of info with them.
One point i was pounding the table about was that the left is too socially responsible (bs ruse notwithstanding) and not fiscally responsible in the least, and that our SS and pensions will eventually be on the chopping block to pay off our national debt. One moron replied that "the u.s. could print away its debt whenever it wants", i shit you not. He got over thirty likes for that comment.
Hopefully the right will get back in power, and that worthless potus will be replaced and then things will be set straight. Like when GW was president.
It is funny how leftists will willing criticize fake conservatives for weakly emulating leftist policies, pointing out the resulting debacles, and see no hypocrisy at all. We have not had a conservative agenda pursued and accomplished in the white house or congress in forty years minimum.
They will line up on Bush for his foreign wars yet completely ignore and forget that democrats were at the helm for every other foreign war of the last hundred years....but its all neocons, right???
The left is more of a vehicle for the neocon agenda than the right is at this point, though the n scumbags are entrenched on both sides. The ideology of the left is also a much swifter enabler for the neocon agenda. We may have our first j prez on the way with sanders sneaking up all grassroots, and he'll surge if/when the media decides to throw hillary under a bus. I cant wait to see the look on her face if she ends up getting stabbed in the back. H could very well lose popularity on her own merits though, ie intellectual dishonesty, untrustworthiness, sociopathology, being a total bitch, being a politically sleazy old hag, etc
Are you suggesting that voters will reject the primary traits and qualifications of the prototypical politician?
You are confused if you think people want to vote for people who speak honestly. People WANT to be lied to. Sure, they are enraged when they are faced with the reality of the lie, but lies were invented to tell us what we want to hear. Until we reject delusion rather than embrace it, things will stay the same or likely get worse.
re: oldwood
It's funny how rightists can elect their people and then forgive their decades of slavedom and absolve them by saying that there has been no conservative agenda pursued.
FFS, if the Republicans control the Senate, or the House, or POTUS or 2 of 3 of 3 of 3 and they don't pursue the conservative agenda that you magically speak of, then what do you think they are doing there, and why do you continue to take sides?
Isn't it obvious?
Of course, if you still hold your viewpoints after 40 years minimum, what will make you wake up?
If we differentiate political parties from political philosophy, then discussing the matter may actually make sense. Both the democrats and republicans are liberals, they only differ in how they profess to spend the spoils of an expanded government.
"democrats were at the helm for every other foreign war of the last hundred years..."
Both parties at the helm, both culpable.
wish ""the u.s. could print away its debt whenever it wants", i shit you not. He got over thirty likes for that comment." I used to pine over just this upon becoming interested in econ circa 2008. He should have said "the u.s. (via permission of Janet and the banking "business cycle" controllers) could inflate away its debt whenever it wants". That's really the only option, it occured to me some time ago. JMO
Best to be invisilble... she said, typing. :-)
To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later. She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger, essentially granting the customers loans.
Word gets out about Mary’s “drink now, pay later” marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Mary’s bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in her city.
By providing her customers’ freedom from immediate payment demands, Mary gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most popular beverages, since no one is paying at the time of purchase. Consequently, Mary’s gross sales volume increases massively.
A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Mary’s borrowing limit. He sees no reason for any undue concern, since he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral. At the bank’s corporate headquarters, expert traders figure a way to make huge commissions, and transform these customer loans into drinkbonds, alkibonds, and pukebonds. These securities are then bundled and traded on international security markets. Naive investors don’t really understand that the securities being sold to them as AAA secured bonds are really the debts of unemployed alcoholics. Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb, and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation’s leading brokerage houses.
One day, even though the bond prices are still climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Mary’s bar. He informs Mary.
Mary then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons, but because they are unemployed alcoholics, they cannot pay back their drinking debts. Since Mary cannot fulfill her loan obligations, she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and the eleven employees lose their jobs.
Overnight, drinkbonds, alkibonds, and pukebonds drop in price by 90%. The collapsed bond asset value destroys the bank’s liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community.
The suppliers of Mary’s bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms’ pension funds in the various bond securities. They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds. Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations. Her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.
Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses, and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multi-billion euro no-strings attached cash infusion from their cronies in government. The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, non-drinkers who have never been to Mary’s bar.
If you didn’t understand modern economics before, now you do!
Thanks, man. I feel like I ought to memorize that. Simple, accurate and helpful for people who get dizzy trying to figure it out.
Your welcome
Got it in an e-mail...................this morning!
Whenever Boris is see line of citizenry, is bad reminiscent trauma, like is toxic acid flashback... is want to get in line... not really is sure why.
There's a mechanized dildo just through that door, Boris. You're already in that line. We all are.
Can anyone explain "how to post a picture" in the comments please
Thanks in advance

XAU great comments by the way
Only Tylers can post pics or long time posters that have been vetted.
@COSMOS
Thanks for your comment and responce.
not sure if this link works LOL

I'm not sure that's why Boris wants to get in line.
Different strokes.
Two Greeks in front of supermarket in the line:
Greek 1: I could have sworn you were behind me a minute ago.
Greek 2: My apologies.
Greek 1: No need to apologise, we will both get nothing anyway.
Scene 2: Lady who is almost in front of a line for bread hears someone fart much further back in the line. She leaves her spot and goes back to where the man is standing.
Russian Lady: Comrade can I ask you a question?
Russian Man: Of course lady
Russian Lady: Where did you get the beans from?
Scene 3: People waiting for Walmart to open up for the specials. Guard asks lady how old her twins are.
Lady replies: How could you think they are twins.? One is 4 years old and the other is 8.
Guard replies: You mean to tell me some man was game enough to fuck you twice?
Sad versions of your "time for a joke" series of funnies (big fan of your jokes btw). Better get used to it, I guess. :-(
I agree. No the best of my jokes.
Making jokes is the least you can do.
Unless you have CTRL-P, then the joke is on everyone else.
It doesn’t take long….Some years ago a small rural town in Spain twinned with a similar town in Greece. The mayor of the Greek town visited the Spanish town.
When he saw the palatial mansion belonging to the Spanish mayor, he wondered aloud how on earth he could afford such a house.
The Spaniard replied:‘You see that bridge over there? The EU gave us a grant to construct a two-lane bridge, but by building a single lane bridge with traffic lights at either end, I could build this place.’
The following year the Spaniard visited the Greek town. He was simply amazed at the Greek mayor's house: gold taps, marble floors, diamond doorknobs, it was marvellous.
When he asked how he’d raised the money to build this incredible house, the Greek mayor said:‘You see that bridge over there?’
The Spaniard replied:‘No.’

As of this week, all new Euros are to be printed on Greece-proof paper.Syria has appealed for international assistance today, after a boatload of 500 Greeks arrived seeking a better life.
Q: What are the first three letters of the Greek alphabet ?
A: I.O.U.
I'm investing in a new currency...the George Foreman Euro.
Same as the other Euro, but no Greece.
Alex Tsipras has said that Greece will "Bounce Back".
Just like it's cheques.
My son wanted to know what it was like to live in Greece, so I took his pocket money off him.
bankers around the world have nowhere else to go to support their derivative house of cards
Greece is merely the tip of the iceberg of whats to come in that regard
It's a global war on savers, workers, our property rights, your liberty and even on your life. That's the nature of corrupt bankers and governments. The first lot will surreptiously strip you of your wealth and labor, the latter will use "what ever it takes".
Why wait?
Rise up.!!!
"The Gray Panthers."
Take one look and you'll understand unfortunately.
This is a sad day and perhaps a tragic one for Western Civilization.
I do think folks are serious about the saving "the system" now. "Because when it gets serious you have to save the system" not lie.
Not one of these clowns has ever talked the problem of contagion...EVER.
Yep... it started not in 1913 but here): http://ocw.usu.edu/university-studies/u-s-institutions/comparison-of-constitution-and-articles-of-confederation.html
If you watched "The Soparanos" you probably remember the storyline about the guy with the Sports store that ends up owing Tony lots of money he doesn't have ...
... and how Tony and his crew not only took his money and his business but then used the business to steal merchandise and money from the suppliers.
Don't you just HATE summer re-runs?
What is happening in Greece is identical to the "store owner/loanshark"storyline - the "tragedy" was planned from the get-go.
Just think how funny this will be in a couple years. Tragedy+time=comedy.
Absolutely...and the Greek islands make perfect "collateral".
F U BANKERS!!!
You're half way there. Don't forget the other monsters who have a symbiotic relationship with these psychopaths; the sociopaths and enablers who make everything "legal".
Corruption works because it gets everyone on the take.
We are all dependent on this corruption now. We know its corrupt but we also know that to end the corruption would ripple through the economy touching each and every one of us.
Is this what the USA would look like without food stamps? Or would it infact be much worse?
Much worse.
Much worse, + racial outpourings, + drugs + fat people + guns, lots of guns
You mean to say an ethnic fat person on drugs will be waving a gun?
This is getting serious.
PS. Don't forget that person is probably an undocumented, gaybro, with a wooden peg leg. Aka untouchable by Uncle Sam.
/sarcasm (but not really) - go fuck yourselves if you are offended.
Think of how much closer to getting this shit over with we would have been.
It'll be worldwide in no time.
"Up Next: CHINA!" would appear.
Take a look at Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, perhaps Mexico soon.
Lest folks forget...Detrpit, Puerto Rico...
Baltimore?
Chicago itself?
This is quite the "technological terror" we have created here.
A "Financial DEATHSTAR."
Fuck YOU, Tsipras, you treasonous disingenuous prick. You'd better be playing the game of leaving the EMU as the bag holder for this shit show or you better stay away from lamp posts. Motherfucker,
Tsipras is a manipulative little shit!!
His face looks like a younger, Grecian version of Maduro.
He's a politician. What did you expect?
While he breathes...he lies.
I just found this as I got on my laptop this morning from AOL, part of our completely presstituted, propagandized, bleating whores of the media...
"Greece is also aiding sentiment and traders are expressing the view that 'Greece is solved, get involved,' or words to that effect. The new proposals that have been announced in the early Asian session have seen a strong move higher in U.S. futures and our opening European calls also look strong," Chris Weston, chief market strategist at IG, said in a note.
Greece isn't solved you idiots! Just more tripe for the millions of day trading masses in China and the rest of the bankster world...
Death will be too kind for the banksters.
The pitch to which he was aroused was tremendous. All the fighting blood of his breed was up in him and surging through him. This was living, though he did not know it. He was realising his own meaning in the world; he was doing that for which he was made—killing meat and battling to kill it. He was justifying his existence, than which life can do no greater; for life achieves its summit when it does to the uttermost that which it was equipped to do.

Tsipras caves again

'Liberal'-lol-media- It only MIGHT be true
Only ones safe from this are off the grid preppers
¨Only ones safe from this are off the grid preppers¨ Hmmm, Let me improve this...
Only ones safe from this are off the grid preppers, in countries not likely to be part of a nuclear exchange - preferebly in the Southern Hemisphere.
PS. Those preps better include alot more than just food & water - PHYSICAL PM´s stored in ¨intelligent¨ locations are a must to thrive long-term.
Kicking and screaming because socialists said they would get free money all their live.
They're all conmen. BAnkers, politicians of all stripes. This is the fault of both of these class of worms. They sold the masses that compounding interest and counterfeit money and fractional reserve banking would make us all rich, that they were here to help, that they had our backs, that debt didn't matter becuse we owed it to ourselves. What you see in theses photographs is what we all have waiting for us. The system the world over is the same so why should it be any different here or anywhere and how could it be otherwise?
What is everyone missing? Why did they still have money in the bank?
Mesmerized.
Here is another zerohedge sociopath with no empathy for others, no feelings, nothing human left inside.
I was surprised to see a trace of humanity towards these poor people in the original post (rather than a bashing of socialism, which of course has nothing to do with the story) but you have saved the day. Your post is the essence of Randian/Misesian philosophy, your post is real zerohedge for everyone.
Do you have any idea who these people are? Do you know what they went through, how hard some of these people might have worked in their youth under a military regime installed by the Germans? Do you know they are trying to survive with 600 Euros p/m in a city like Athens? Do you know there will be mass starvation if the pensions are not paid or even cut more? Of course you do, but it doesn't matter, does it? It doesn't matter that it is the right wing crony capitalists who are responsible for these scenes, this is just another opportunity to talk shit about socialism and a misesian sociopath/psychopath never misses one. Just like zerohedge shamelessly posting pictures of people searching for food in the rubbish in Greece and claiming this is what happens when you vote for socialists. Same shit.
No matter how hard you try to portray the bankers as the only enemies of humanity, more than half of those commenting here are same fucking breed, heartless Randian sociopaths, who think they make money because they are smart and anyone who is poor is poor because they are stupid or lazy.
Those like you will be hanging next to the bankers on those lamp posts when the time comes.
PS: Another moron below is calling the 600Euros these people get every month "generous welfare system"...When one tries to have an opinion without having knowledge, this is what you get. Typical zerohedge commentator.
Um, they work the shortest work week of any country, hid their financial condition and this whole thing was out in the open 6 years ago... Now they're surprised? Please. Greece has always leaned communist/socialist and only had a capitalist society because the Brits supported it after the Germans pulled out in 1945... If the Brits didn't send troops for the monarchy it would have been communist, period. Watch the history channel sometime. My point is simple, they wanted, demanded, voted and got everything they wanted, max benefits with as little work as possible. So stop with this isn't a socialism problem, it is and all the quasi socialist countries are in trouble except for Germany, for now. Greeks don't even pay their taxes! Do I feel bad for them? Yes and no... He'll, they are defaulting on a bailout package and begging for a new bailout package! I mean, wow, come on now. Socialism doesn't work and this is just another example of that Mr Macroeconomics which you clearly aren't. BTW, the Euro failing is no surprise either since this is the, what 24th, I believe, attempt at a unified currency. Deficits matter... That's the lesson here. Grow the hell up.
As a typical zerohedge commentator, you don't know what socialism is and what it isn't, you make up your own definition of things. You don't understand anything from balance sheets, public deficits and their relation with money creation (money creation as public deficit, not money creation as debt) because you've burnt your brain with Misesian hogwash, and like that's not enough, you also don't know anything about working hours in Europe, and openly LIE for propaganda:
http://www.mckinsey.com/locations/athens/GreeceExecutiveSummary_new/pdfs...
Greeks are among the hardest working populations in Europe in terms of working hours. Period. They may be non-productive, that is an other issue.
Greeks don't pay their taxes? Which Greeks are those ones? The poor pensioners whose pensions are taxed before they even get them, and who cannot escape the VAT whatever they do? Why are you so clueless?
No need to respond to personal attacks on me being a macroeconomist. Suffice it to say that someone who doesn't even know what capitalism/socialism is, who openly lies about readily available data, and who cannot even understand that you cannot bundle the people of any country under an umbrella such as "Greeks" because there are Greeks and there are other Greeks is not in a situation to question my knowledge of macroeconomics.
Keep in mind, your right wing bollocks only sells among the sociopaths working in finance, nowhere else.
One recommendation: Don't try to teach a semi-Cypriot Greek history again. You'll get shamed next time.
+1, but I see a forest you might be missing
there is nothing wrong with Greeks, or even with the Greek economy. the main issue imho is the Greek... state. not the most efficient one
and this very moment it's the Greek State that is discriminating against it's own citizens, by keeping the banks shut and the ATMs on a trickle... for Greeks only
They actually have the third longest working hours of all OECD countries, way longer than the US. Shows how much you know.

"Those like you will be hanging next to the bankers on those lamp posts when the time comes."
Whatcha waitin' for, hardcase? Gitcher rope and bring the time 'round right now.
You are truly a macroeconomist yet fail to see the big picture. Sociopathic ZH commenters?! Do you even know what the term means? I hardly think that this outcome in Greece was the result of a Randian/Misesian philosophy. There isn't a single case of an outbreak in that direction to my knowledge. I can't think of a single Randian/Misesian member of the EMU. can you?
Utter fantasy and unsubstantive rantings, indicating that you have little concdern for the historic and currently in progress facts, or are a disingenuous shill, trying to deflect the obvious. The whole govenmental control process uses the democratic system as a means of wealth transfer and redistribution, the process known as Marxist Socialism. As Marx encouraged, they use the fiat currencies of the world as the exploitive means to perpetrate (Debauch the Currency 101) it being employed so as crush capitalism. That was crushed around 1913 because the world operates on a credit basis from that historic moment in time and 1971 was the clincher.
Macro my ass.
I would never waste my time with such a stupid post normally but like your friends above, you are clueless and not only that, you are lying. Wealth redistribution and welfare state was developed within capitalism as a means to protect the system from the danger of a socialist revolution. Bribe to the working class. That's exaclty why since 1980s, the welfare state has been dismantled all over the world, because now there is no alternative to capitalism so there is no need for the bribe any more. Wealth redistribution is NOT Marxist Socialism, Marxist socialism aims collective ownership of means of production, not private ownership. That's why unlike you morons claim here, Obama is not a socialist, EU is not socialist, Norway is not socialist, China is not socialist. Cuba is socialist in the Marxist sense. (And I do not like this central planning version of socialism)
"As Marx encouraged, they use the fiat currencies of the world as the exploitive means to perpetrate it and crush capitalism"
You find me one single page where Marx "recommended" anything that is even remotely related to a fiat currency and I promise to apologize here and leave zerohedge forever. One sentence even.
Btw, familiar with the definition below?
If looking at those pictures one can say "oh these idiots thought socialists would give them free money all their lives", one is a sociopath. Simple as that.
Meh. Who cares?
I know. Easier to believe your own truth . Like any member of the zerohedge sheeple.
Considering that all curriencies currently printed are issued without the disclaimer that the issuer is indebted to the bearer, (ipso facto acknowledging that the piece of paper in hand is an IOU with a promise to pay) and considering that the Bankers and Governments are fully aware of the larceny of false promise on issuance and further, considering that they own and condone these counterfeit notes, then they are both guilty of conspiracy to defraud. Governments and banks have successfully hoodwinked everyone on the planet, inculcating us from childhood with the false belief that currency is money and is the con of history.
That the debt is fraudulently created, enshrined and protected visciously through force and is the enabling device of war and debt slavery, then they are all guilty of perpetrating crimes such as false imprisonment and slavery, murder and of the highest accusation, genocide. This system is created by and for bankers and governments and there is no denying their culpability once one becomes aware of its insidious corrruption.
Full Faith and Credit of governments is a treasonous and treacherous act of theft, a funding sleight of hand that avoids the transparency of oversight and accountability. It denys the people a responsible treasury. It is a slick ploy that allows governments the ability to spend money it doesn't have and cunningly provides the government a source for payrolls; all off the back of the unsuspecting and trusting private sector.
Government is not now the benevolent and kindly representative of the people; it is a wealth-sapping and enslaving monstrosity that has been corrupted by banks and captured by sociopaths.
Look at all thos people in this post. They were given promises that if they just put the management of their affairs into the hands of those who knew best how to spend their money, the promise of Nirvana awaited them in retirement.
Once again..... Meh.
see what happens when you leave your money in a bank...many are not in these lines because they got the euros out long ago. never leave money in banks if you do take a second look at pics in this thread.
one basic flaw in socialism/communism..the state provides each month benefits, the citizen cannot save for the future, but must rely on the state ...well as we saw in USSR, there was one store for You and another store for the beaurocrats and leaders..some how the latter stores had more of everything and better quality, the common citizen (comrade) got the left overs. not that crony capitalism is better..work and save what you make w/o the high vat taxes and income taxes demanded by socialism, and some would save for old age and some would still piss it all away. in capitalism you got a chance in communism your future depends on sociopaths who always gain power.
One basic flaw in socialism..., is that all?
Just ask the likes of Macro man. In his mind it seems to be working or have worked in every instance its been tried. Socialism, communism, Islamism, Catholicism and isms of all sorts are forced down the throats of people who just couldn't give a shit about all the dogma vomited by these crazed assholes. Assholes, who have no intent of minding their own fucking business and leaving the rest of the world alone. The trouble with all of these pricks is that they all think that their brand of ism is the only one that works and not one of those cunts (keboard almost pulverized typing that adjective) would consider the liberty of the individual and property (his labor and money) as naturally sacrosanct. They'd scream like stuck pigs if I came in to their home and stole their property to benovently give (or not) to someone else, but can't see anything wrong with having the State do it for them so that they can feel good about helping some poor unfortunate who lucked out at the craps table.. It's only fair that Joe barfly gets his cut of the fruits of my labor, right? Isn't it ironic that they complain of inequality of outcomes yet cheerlead when The State forces someone to be their converted slave.
Fuck you Macro and the horse you rode in on as well as the pack of immoral sociopathic retards you ride with. Fucking douche bags, the lot of you.
re: overmedicated
one basic flaw in socialism/communism..the state provides
socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
fascism: Political ideology that imposes social and economic measures as a method of empowering the government (state) and stripping citizens of rights.
I think you are confused.
"I think you are confused."
Not at all. The benign "community" in your definition of socialism will eventually (because equality is VERY hard to enforce in human society) a coercive FORCE to implement the utopian concept of "regulation...by the community as a whole."
Thus fascism.
socialism does not mean enforcing equality.
You are still confused.
Macro - Your clarifications of terms and bringing a fact about Greek working hours compared to the rest of Europe were good. But the ad hominem attacks devalued your commentary.
You are painting with a broad brush about this communtity. An individuals opinions are likely based on personal experience. If one has been a victim of wealth redistribution one is more likely to oppose it vehemently.
In the end it is a bribe for a vote whether it's the citizens or corporations receiving the subsidies. If you or the company you work for has a good lawyer or are politcally connected, you probably have not experienced such anguish and will have a different viewpoint.
The consensus view I see here is the current operating economic system is fascism. Issuing debt that cannot be paid back is fraud. This is what happened in Greece, here in the US hell all over the globe.
The central bank model exacerbates every sociopathic and imbalanced impulse. I don't argue there is marginal utility in debt but the real issue has been the leverage. That is where governnent regulators are supposed to step in but that funding was cut here in the US. That is a government decision. Same as rescinding Glass-Steagall. Depositers once again on the hook to make whole gamblers big and small. It just the big get made completely whole by force from the small over extended periods of time.
Something I see a lot here about Greeks is why did they leave money in the banks or not hedge? Many of us, including myself argue that individuals should have a hedge of the 3 B's. Beans, bullion, bullets. A couple months worth would have saved a lot of these people a pain. Not all but probably avoiding dumpster diving.
If the government is captured wouldn't you agree the 'isms' don't matter? One group is above the law and the government has the guns. One thing I see throughout history. The strong will take from the weak through hook or crook and the justifications for it tend to be hypocritical.
I have a business and leave some in the bank for expenses. Outside that investing in hard assets and PM's for the moment. Not opposed to equities, they are overpriced just looking at PE's never minding all the other corruption now stunting growth.
I have found sociopaths emotionally weak but often brilliant to the point of genius sometimes. I also found that such are more likely to steal and endorse wealth redistribution, a kind way of saying stealing. The composition of this audience is generally composed of those opposed to such.
Sociopaths crave power to protect themselves from emotional weakness and government is the ultimate protection. They then steal with impunity.
I have detected a few people on ZH that are sociopaths. Bankers are the fig leaf for government. Even the Rothschild's admitted those that control the currency dont care who makes the laws. Doesn't sound very empathetic.
Now you can go fuck yourself for being disingenuous and having the intelligence to know better and yeah its Fight Club
:^}
I voted you up, thanks for the comment, I will reflect upon that.
In my opinion, randian philosophy and the social darwinism I see on this website are closely linked and simply astonishing. That's what I wanted to point at.
I completely agree that it doesn't matter which -ism we are talking about if the government is captured. I had written the post below for the moron above until he/she started swearing, I will post it here to make my own thoughts clear.
-------------------
Ok now we are talking, and that's good (no sarcasm)
The version of socialism you are talking about is one version implemented by many countries and drastically failed. A whole bunch of socialists are well convinced that central planning and a bureaucratic state is a terrible idea which goes horribly wrong for many reasons and leads to autocratic/kleptocratic state dominance, and even fascism in some cases. Plus, they are far too libertarian on personal freedoms and apart from a few die-hard Stalinists, no one wants neither a state in the sense you understand it, nor a representative government system. A whole lot of participatory, non-governmental anarchistic models have been proposed and are still being discussed fiercely among socialists. And in some versions of these (which don't really call themselves socialist but more anarchist) some private ownership is present and allowed as a liberty as well as the right to trade but the in a more restricted way than in capitalism, the limits of which are determined by a collective decision making process.
Personally, I swing in between a heavily regulated capitalism and a more anarchist worker-owned enterprise type alternative with more restrictions on private ownership. It is very hard to make up your mind in this matter, as there seems to be no easy solution when you think of the role of money in the economy and how money will be created in these societies. I agree with you fully on the debt issue, and for that reason if we stay within a regulated capitalism, I would be in favour of money being created as public deficit, not as debt as in the current system. This would mean stripping the banks from their power to create money and making them really financial intermediaries, as well as shutting down the global casino. But it also needs a complete change in the current government structure. Direct democracy within an educated society and debate on the creation and partly on the allocation of the new funds, with some market mechanism also allowed to operate in the allocation process as well. The same could apply in a worker-owned enterprise system too. although such anarchistic systems are very hard to operate at this scale and some form of institutionalization will immediately form how hard you try.
Hard topic this one, and no easy solutions. Anarchistic capitalism that most dream about here is not feasible either for both the same reasons above, and also because it will not last as concentration and accumulation of capital will lead to the formation of a bureacratic state protecting the oligarchy with all its power, so without restrictions on wealth accumulation, we will end up in the same situation: A state captured by the oligarchs - industrial or financial. There is a historical and economic reason this crony state has evolved all through the capitalist world. It doesn't matter if you roll history back and restart with anarchistic capitalism, free banking etc. again. You will end up more or less here once again unless you change something.
---------------------------
Macro - Thank you for the clarification of your positions. No, this isn't an easy discussion. I actually agree with all of it save two points:
1) My view is the crowd here supports limited government in general though admit there is a smaller percentage that supports your viewpoint about anarchistic capitalism. A government will form to impose the set of rules the community forms. The wealthy will have an outsized say in this process, but tend to be more considerate after becoming a victim or lowing a loved one. In other words learning from pain. This leads me to the next point:
2) I don't agree there should be caps on wealth creation. There are those born a bit luckier into wealth or are born with enough intelligence and willpower to buck the odds and defy gravity. That's evolution and luck of the draw. The accumulation of wealth can and does allow vote buying. The solution (or better set of brakes as all systems fail) would be to have it be prohibitavely expensive. Increase the amount of representatives into the thousands would be a way.
Term limits is another idea. I have a few but really we're going to be in calamity before some system improvements (better brakes) are possible. Tax policy as a brake for the wealthy doesn't see to work long at all. The huge migration of capital east was the result.
It is worth looking toward other sciences in this kind of discussion about predation, cooperation and self-defense.
Also,as medicine improves mankind is learning some of the root causes of personality disorders. At some point, a screening process as a brake may be useful for the political class.
There was a gent I met in Boston that was attempting a start-up to screen executives for sociopaths at companies. Some of that pysch testing isnt new but he had some really good ideas, just a little early (in-between cycles) to get funded.
Comparison of Constitution and Articles of Confederation
Check it out.
Free money and freedom are not compatible
The geezers shouldn't have collectively voted for a succession of governments that allowed banksters to rape and pillage the country. Nor for extravagant social welfare schemes. While individual cases are tragic, unless these people are incentivized to do something about the corruption, nothing will happen.
Pitz, the sad reality is ALL politicians are bought and paid for. There is no such thing as voting for a politician that will NOT gladly allow "banksters to rape and pillage the country". Their talking points and promises may be different, but all politicians will vote for social welfare schemes, increasing their own power, and protecting banker's interests. So try not to be tooo hard on the old Greeks. In many ways we're all in the same boat... cattle car... whatever.
I told an older Geezer than me the other day that voting is like deciding between a piece of shit and a turd.
No, the sad reality is that people have always been predisposed to fall for "something for nothing". They have always, and likely always will, willingly accepted all lies as truths if they included something for nothing. From the guy on the street buying the fake Rolex as real to the "investor" who is lead to believe that they can turn a little cash into a lot with the help of some really savvy analysts with only your interest at heart, to the government employee who only has to work for twenty years and then retire and live like a king for the rest of their lives.
None of it is real. Yes it is for some...enough to make us believe, but it is never sustainable and always turns out to be a scam to enrich or empower someone else at our expense.
The single best bet is that we will fall for it again and again and again .... forever.
As if voting matters. SHIT, that is ridiculous.
"...collectively voted for a succession of governments that allowed banksters to rape and pillage the country. Nor for extravagant social welfare schemes."
But that's demoracy!
Some europeans are fed up with EU politicians and all Pro-EU/Euro voters and NOT with the Greek people.
The 'Ultimate Statement of Irony' is in the above scenes for these depict the justification for, the ignorance, the stupidity of and the proof of and for the Elites and their inablers (Obozo and the like) for doing what they are doing and continue to do for it is justification for them because they are not suffering the same. Proof in itself that they acted correctly, smartly and have taken the right path in life with their actions. That is about as deep as their thinking and reasoning goes.
Aren't they responsible? Didn't they cause their plight by their own actions? Of course they did! One is himself responsible for his own condition. Let's just not look at the obstacles, barriers, injustice and enforcements that really didn't have to be there.
re: "One is himself responsible for his own condition."
If someone robs you at gunpoint, it is your fault for letting it happen?
"The Global War On Pensions Gets Personal"
All it will take is for a leading "corporatist slimeball Bill Gates" to give another one of his eugenics speeches. Then we'll see new laws being passed to kill-off anybody over the age of 65 to reduce pension costs.
That's how they plan on getting rid of 6-7 billion of us "useless eaters."
Many pensioners, especially government and resource industry ones, seem pretty well off around here compared to us working poor...
It's an income, regular, monthly and stable, after all...it's still all about THE FLOW (of income) not the stock (savings)...
I watch this shit and am thinking about this 5 year old Lambo someone is trying to unload for 3.3 million because it is only one out of 20 made. It is only a set of wheels.
I think of Jenner killing a woman because he was driving recklessly and doesn't even get a fucking ticket and all you see in the news is him busy preening himself. If it was a 'commoner' he or she would be behind bars and charged for something.
This planet is mentally ill and it is getting worse, not better.
I'm sorry but it isn't only the leaders and bankers. There are good people out there but they are outnumbered by a slew of self centered, callous and ignorant bodies without soul.
I always said if there is a third world war, Germany would be at the center of it and it looks like it will. I hate painting a peoples with a broad brush but they have the same genes as those who dreamt up the death camps.
The British created the first "concentration camps" during the Boer War, and the Bolsheviks (who the Nazis aped in most everything) had the GULAG decades before Hitler even came to power. The problem with your brush is it's not broad enough.
The British got the idea from the American Indian reservations, and the Germans from the British.
The official policy of the US Government toward the Indians was genocide according to Angie Debo, Oklahoma’s greatest historian.
The Americans got their idea from the Spanish Conquistadors who were in line with the Papal Bull "Inter cetera", Pope Borgia's 1493 Bull, which virtually ordained the killing of local tribes (Aztec, Inca) if they did not submit to God's will in forced baptism.
"These devils have no soul if they don't bow to the Saviour. Kill em all." So went the Spanish Inquisitorial Mantra!
And Sheridan's Indian wars said the same : Only good Injun is a dead Injun!
I could go on as Charlemagne's conquest of Saxony was based on same mantra; etc. etc. etc.
Indeed. Sociopaths abounded through history.
As if the death camps are the only/worst example of human cruelty or depravity. Who do you share genes with? Stalin? Mao? Milosevic?
Don't be such an obvious fucking moron.
Fucking Moron?
I had two uncles and a grandfather who died due to this bullshit. My mother still cringes when she hears thunder or fireworks as she knows what bombs and bullets were like. My father had to smuggle in potatoes and they ate rats to survive.
Somehow that country was at the center of two world wars.
It will be at the center of WW3.
Have to agree with you.
When East and West Germany were reunited thought right then here comes trouble.
Sure there are earlier examples of rounding up people and placing them in camps where there is a good likelihood to die, but the US government did a pretty good job rounding up the Native Americans and putting them on 'reservations' way before Germany or England,
Gave you a minus 1 for not knowing which nationality actually did invent concentration camps.
Seeing how "my" people (don't) react to the ongoing death of the entire pacific ocean, which is a truly evil and largely unreported thing) and having had 15 years of direct experience of "germanity" (made up word!) I think you are wrong.
They aren't especially evil, but they are very meticulous about detail which is why the death camps were so well documented, and the details are so very well known, in direct contrast to the many atrocities that have happened before or since and which don't get so many films and books made about them...
Those pensioners are fd. But they should have known better. So the question is as an old person/people. What are they going to do about it?
“We’re seeing significant shortages in heart and blood-pressure medications, but I’m less worried about that because there are Greek-made generics that people can turn to when the branded ones run out for good,” she said. “But insulin, that’s critical—diabetics need it to survive, and we’re really low on stocks.”
- It is the same in the USA... our government doesn't care about the people in countries they go to war against. These are sovereign countries recognized by the UN. Doesn't matter.
- And what our US Government will do to Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen... they will do to all people including in the USA.
- You don't have medicine, you should have planned ahead even if you were out of the country or on vacation away from a preferred Provider.
- Give up the Geneva Conventions and you give up price controls on big pharma drugs, you give up complaints against Drone Strikes, Torture, Rendition on US Soil. You give up compaints that you need bankruptcy protection.
I regret to inform them that the gravy train has reached its final stop. Sadly to many are simply still sitting on the train waiting for it to start moving again. It aint going any further.
In that light. The choice is theirs alone as are the real consequences. Its sucks they refused to do math. Make no mistake about that. As a group they fully embraced magical thinking for my whole life. They took the double standard to new hights. Even now they clammor for my generation to pull harder.
What I want to know is what do they intend to do about it. If they sit on the train waiting for it to go again. They will starve to death. They could go Eskimo? Or maybe they could get off their asses and help build something real by correcting the mistakes they made.
Its called being a grown up. A big part of it is admitting you were wrong and correcting the mistakes. Inflation is theft from the young too. At some point one must face it and then actually stop it. But sadly I dont see that from them. Instead they are waiting in line for some more cheese.
Come help us build a better system. Please it is their best chance at a life that is worth living.
The Rothschild takeover of European nations under the Euro, to confiscate all properties that are in debt, to consolidate the politics, and bring on the one-world government.
Surely the baby boomers can steal a bit more from their grandchildren yet?
May I ask, what their grandchildren have made that's worth stealing?
Tatoos?
Long lampshades.
True, because their grandchildren have a bunch of promises they never made, stolen from them too.
Long viagra.
Actually I paid for them to be born. I have paid for their prepaid college. I am stacking for them and I have secured a safe haven for them in the event of collapse. Don’t paint all boomers with the same brush.
My dad paid the hospital $89 for my delivery in 1952, Mom saved the cancelled check, It's good to pay as you go and look out for your progeny.
When you get as old as me, and worked forever paying into the SS trustfund, its kind of a pisser to listen to the whiners about promises about the future. Already been there and done that.
Here's a job offer to all whiney milleniums that can't find a job. Come work with me. We sell eggs, meat cbickens and rabbits. We eat summer produce from the garden and can the excess. You won't get rich, but you can get a side job, In return you will have your own room and eat well. You will stay fit from slinging 50-lb bags of feed around.
Otherwise, my advice is make your own job, when you can't find one. Get creative. Stop looking for somebody to blame, especially old people. Are you just stupid? The only thing I did all my life was work. So feck off punk. Die one day at a time while you beat off your viagra swolt dick.
BTW Cloud, about your avatar. That house in Grant Wood's painting "American Gothic" still stands in Eldon, Iowa. http://www.americangothichouse.net/
Where?
Living in BF Missouri beween the loving arms of Harry S. (Stump) Truman Lake. Bugged out of Florida three years ago when the work played out. The company here can be kinda grim at times. Otherwise, its all good.
They should do an Iceland for sure. Then after telling the criminal EU to fuck off, join the Russian Union, that aught to make the ZioNazi West sweat.
The future is like a train coming down a track; always arriving on time, not always in the condition desired or expected. The Greeks' future just arrived; looted, worn and bare. Plundered by Zion's banksters and their government puppets.
While the banksters, and pol and crat accomplishes, wine and dine in Paris, London, Brussels, the Greeks scurry the streets from store to store scouring bare shelves for essentials that may remain.
While the banksters and minions pay from a bevy of gold and black cards, the Greeks stand far and long at ATMs for a meager share of theirs that may not yet be stolen.
While the banksters and cronies dwell far of in tranquil fenced communities, the Greeks are trapped within the desperate and angry tumult that their communities have become--fenced in by the banksters' plunder.
The answer does not reside in communism. Does not reside in fascism. The answer resides in baskets below guillotines.
Liberty is a demand. Tyranny is submission..
"[The images above] expose the core of the issue of how ordinary Greeks are being tormented by EU politicians who pretend to care about people. This is not a Greek debt crisis, this is a Euro Crisis and they refuse to admit that what they designed was solely for the takeover of Europe at the cost of the future of everyone from pensioners to the youth."
- You can tell the USA has given tacit approval or concurrence on this course of action to... stomp on Greeks and Target Greek Assets
_ USA is very vocal about seeking war, and aggressive rhetoric against sovereign countries all around the world, when it wants war or territory it is not bashful
- USA keeps it's mouth shut and doesn't criticize Germany or the Troika because this has been in the works for a long time maybe since 1945 when the Allies began collaborating with Fascists and Nazis at the conclusion of WWII... USA took the best ideas from the Jewish News papers, the best of Nazis and Fascists... and the USA knowing they were the world superpower took on the best of the other-side to make them our own... Operation Paper Clip and the Rat Lines demonstrate this well... but also the waivers of prosecution provided to Japanese Scientists who were involved in Bio/Chem Warfare in Labs in China
"This is not a Greek debt crisis, this is a Euro Crisis"
I must respectfully disagree.
While the actual thieves and plunderers are mostly foreigners in cahoots with Greek pols and crats, the real crisis with the Greeks' tolerance for it all. They need to yell "No!" from every window, tree, square, and hill they can find, and then bring out the guillotines. End of crisis.
They will still have to rebuild, but without the weight of the banksters and their violence-puppets, government.
Ditto here in the American country, except, our "No!" should start with not paying any longer on their fiat loans that are really our wealth stolen and loaned back to us with usury. Without our "service" on their fiat loans, their whole ponzi skyscraper will collapse down upon them. They then will become easier pickens for our guillotines.
See you on the battlefield, or listen for my tapping of "YYZ" from my cell in the basement of one of Zion's basement dungeons.
Liberty is a demand. Tyranny is submission..

That fuckin' prick Tsipiras didn't prepare for Grexit, did he? What the hell were those Syriza clowns doing for the last 6 months. They should have been printing up Drachma and Scrip/IOU's to prepare for a messy showdown. Instead they have the banks closed for 2 weeks and counting. If he signs a bad deal just to reopen the banks, his country will explode.
It's not his country.
It's the people's. They are allowed to blow it up.
They need Obamacare in Greece.
The Germans are going to be pissd that Tsipras is going to cave on everything, and agree to even harsher austerity than the referendum rejected.
They were hoping he might have some balls and leave.
But no way would any socialist ever walk away from 52 billion in fresh cash that they never intend to pay back anyway.
If I was a German taxpayer I'd be mad as hell that Merkel is going to let them get away with this.
