Jade Helm Alert: Military Denies Media Requests To Cover "Texas Takeover"
Between Greece’s tragic, Berlin-mandated descent into the Third World and the epic meltdown in China’s equity markets, it would be easy to forget that the US government is (re)annexing Texas next week.
For those unaware (or for anyone who might have lost track of the US Spec Ops schedule), the military is set to kick off Jade Helm 15 next Wednesday, which means the Lonestar lockdown is less than one week away. If you’re unfamiliar with the operation, here are the barebones basics:
Jade Helm is an eight-week joint military and Interagency Unconventional Warfare exercise conducted throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Essentially, from July 15 to September 15 some military personnel are going to take a trip out west and pretend like they are conducting covert operations overseas.
On the surface, that doesn’t sound too exciting, but thanks to some very unfortunate wording in an official US military slide deck and an even more unfortunate map which designates Texas as “hostile” territory (of course the same map also identifies San Diego as harboring a militant insurgency, so the US Spec Ops Command probably assumed it wouldn’t be taken literally) quite a few Texans came to believe that the federal government was up to no good with Jade Helm.
The situation quickly spiraled out of control and became a veritable media circus after Texas governor Greg Abbott called up the state guard and “Texas Ranger” Chuck Norris pledged to defend the state from a Navy SEAL incursion. Topping it off was former Texas lawmaker Todd Smith — a 16-year veteran of the Texas House of Representatives and self-proclaimed Last of the Fact-Based Republican Mohicans — who, in a letter to Abbott, suggested that anyone who was suspicious of the federal government’s intentions in the state was a “hysterical idiot.”
With just six days to go until the government begins the exercise, expect the rumor mill to come alive because as The Washington Post reports, the media will be given no access to the drills. Here’s more:
Jade Helm 15, the controversial Special Operations exercise that spawned a wave of conspiracy theories about a government takeover, will open next week without any media allowed to observe it, a military spokesman said.
Embedded reporters won’t be permitted at any point during the exercise, in which military officials say that secretive Special Operations troops will maneuver through private and publicly owned land in several southern states. Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, a spokesman for Army Special Operations Command, said his organization is considering allowing a small number of journalists to view selected portions of the exercise later this summer, but nothing is finalized.
“All requests from the media for interviews and coverage of U.S. Army Special Operations Command personnel, organizations and events are assessed for feasibility and granted when and where possible,” Lastoria said in a statement released Wednesday to The Washington Post. “We are dedicated to communicating with the public, while balancing that against the application of operations security and other factors.”
The exercise is scheduled for July 15 through September 15 and is expected to include more than 1,200 troops. Army Special Operations Command announced the exercise in March, saying its size and scope would set it apart from most training exercises. For months, some protesters have said Jade Helm is setting the stage for future martial law.
The Washington Post has several times requested access to observe the exercise, making the case to the military that first-hand media coverage would help explain the mission. Lastoria said it is not possible to allow a journalist to travel with Special Operations forces in the field, citing the isolated nature of the mission and the need to protect the identity of the forces involved.
The military has granted access to Special Operations in the past, however. In one recent example, a journalist observed the exercise Robin Sage in North Carolina, writing a profile for Our State, a magazine. The exercise is considered a final test for Green Beret soldiers in training and calls for them to work through a scenario in which they organize a guerrilla force to overthrow the government of the fictional nation of Pineland.
Got that? Basically, WaPo reasons that because one Kevin Maurer (reporting for OurState.com) was allowed to observe the imaginary overthrow of a made-up country called “Pineland” two and a half years ago in “backyard theaters of war across central North Carolina”, the paper should be allowed to observe whatever is or isn't going on in Texas.
In any event, it’s clear that the military is intent on keeping prying eyes away from Jade Helm. We’ll leave it to readers to decide what that says about government accountability and transparency.
And to the US Spec Ops Command we say this: just because you’ve kept the media out, doesn’t mean no one is watching…

In a sense, he is correct. The Tenth Amendment is flat out not enforced. You could remove it from the constitution and it would have no bearing on any legal outcomes.

It isn't so much the training for the troops performing their military tasks (which it is), as training for political elites and approved high ranking military in running such an operation.

The new paradigm for control of dissident areas is "containment." This means serially wacking anyone who stands up as a leader. Jade Helm represents an attempt to control the "human dimension", possibly using predictive algorhythms to identify leaders who gain followers through non-traditional outlets such as social media, and the purpose of the Jade Helm exercise is to sharpen the pointy part of the spear, which is the snatch and grab teams that swoop in and apprehend a person of interest. Jade Helm allows them to practice the interface between the snatch teams and the local law enforcement to make sure that local law enforcement doesn't get all puffed up and in their face when they start violating Posse Comitatus with impunity.
That's why Texas was cast as a dissident region, because Texas represents a region that the central government will likely lose control of first when declining purchasing power of the dollar causes them to slowly lose control of the country. They will play whack a mole with dissident regions for as long as they can in order to retain power for as long as they can, even though they will cease to be able to hold regions through traditional boots on the ground power. It's what the Romans would have done with the barbarians if they had owned drones and air power. I would not go so far to say a re(annexing) of Texas, but I do think that by the end of the operation, they will have succeeded in 'infiltrating' their areas of interests and will maintain their position over the long term.
With the operation then being over and considered successful, there will be the usual shooting down of planes and other geopolitical/economic events to distract us from the operation ever happening in the first place.
And we will be called conspiracy nuts once again because nothing will come from this until much later down the road. Long after the operation supposedly ended.

Greece has never received bailout money. It has gone to bailout the banks in Germany and France.
Greece had a problem with too much debt, so when the Troika bailed it out, the Troika did so by piling more debt onto Greece.

1) The EU banks, particularly those in France, offloaded this private debt onto the public sector through the "Troika." If this were handled when the problem was KNOWN to be unsustainable, 2011/2012, then those that took the risk would have been forced to bear the burden.
2) The Greeks democratically choose a socialist system where the vast majority of government expenditures are transfer payments.
Unfortunately, (2) is all that will be recompensed, no matter what Greece chooses at this point.
Just because (1) will be gotten away with doesn't change the fact that (2) IS A CRIME.

I suspect Jade Helm will consist of a greatly increased number of "highway checkpoints", possibly disguised as "DUI" checkpoints, which are clearly unconstitutional. The exercise will likely involve personnel from local, county, and state law enforcement agencies, and will be designed to limit and/or restrict freedom of movement. The Bill of Rights will be largely suspended for the duration of the exercise. Anyone who resists or otherwise expresses an uncooperative disposition by invoking their Constitutional Rights will be unlawfully detained and interrogated.
This could possibly be a large-scale trial balloon exercise, designed to measure and identify potential dissidents and the level of resistance that might be increasing within the country. If successful, the exercise will be expanded to larger parts of the continental US.

You know the real heroes in our country? Men like my father who God willing will be 90 this November. He grew up in a log cabin in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. He emigrated to the US in the 50's and became a citizen. He married mom and raised 7 kids in a 3 bedroom one bath house on the "wrong side of the tracks." Mom cooked in a senior care home kitchen for 40 years. He was a machinist. He would work from 2 to midnight. He went from there to the wholesale produce section of town and unload produce trailers for cash for the long haul truckers because nothing was on pallets. For this he was paid cash. From 1 to 5 am and then home to see us kids off to school so mom could leave for work.
We were taught three things. Yes sir and maam, treat others the way you want to be treated and work hard and whatever work you do , do it well. On Saturdays he worked running new plumbing and electric in the 90 to 100 year old houses common in our part of the city. The 3 of us that went to college paid every dime out of our own pockets and with academic scholarships. All of us had on the clock part time jobs from 9 thr 12 th grade and bought our own school clothes.

9. ECM - cellphone stingrays and data capture with local law enforcement
10. Take photos and notes.

Let me give just two examples, for a starter, why this type of military "exercise" is completely illegal:
Scenario #1) A woman is dragged, kicking and screaming into a white van. Another woman, walking down the street, calls 911 to alert authorities. The 911 operator says "it's okay, ma'am, it's just part of the exercise." Question: HOW CAN ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS REAL AND WHAT IS NOT?
Scenario #2) Bubba is enjoying his late-night ball game. A/C is broken so his door is open, catching a nice breeze from the summer night. He hears his dog outside, barking. He grabs his NV-scoped M4 (I have one, myself), points it around and sees nothing. Then, he catches a glimpse of something descending from the sky. It looks to be paratroopers. Thinking its 1984 Red Dawn, and not having heard anything about JADE HELM (b/c it was never on any major news programs), he starts taking shots at the paratroopers, Geneva Convention be damned.
So, I wonder, how would Scenario #2 play out, in the end? Hmmmm???
