Nasdaq Gives Up All "China & Greece Are Fixed" Gains, Dow 500-Point Pump-&-Dump
Who could have seen that coming? A US equity rally on the basis of an entirely manipulated Chinese stock market rally overnight and hope for a last minute Greek deal (dashed by calls for a massive EUR80billion bailout which zee Germans will never give in to). The Dow just experienced a 500-point-pump-and-dump as this morning's exuberant TV anchors are suddenly silenced by the reality that China and Greece matter after all...
After peaking right at the US Open (up over 1.4%) the Nasdaq has led the drop...
Maybe China does matter after all...

How about golf until the pic is a little clearer. BTFD was the game of choice for many years but the Brown Stuff is starting to interact with the rotating blades. Greece probably and should exit the EU. So contagion or no contagion. Don't know. China may well be the black swan. A %30-40 ass woop'n in a few weeks is tough to get a handle on. And the USSA ain't doing so great itself.

The time to buy things is when they're cheap. It's the future that counts, not the present. Will Crude Oil be underpriced forever ? Forever is a long time. Crude oil futures with a one year time line are good now.
The crude oil price chart is beautiful. A double bottom is in place with a gap down in the recent down leg; Gorgeous. Someone opened four contracts for Dec. 2016; the contracts pay off at $1,000 / dollar. It wouldn't surprise me if he made $100,000 on this one trade. I think I'll go make an offer on 8 contracts for Dec. 2016. Then I can forget about shorting the stock market rallies, and just go to the beach and go fishing until next year.

yesterday was the perfect cover. first off a call to the NYSE, shut down for a few hours. then Janet P calls Bejing, pledges LIQUIDITY for their market using their UST holdings. fine. then miss Planet calls Angela. get out the message Angela, Greece is fixed. you dont need information, just ask professorial. got it, okay. then she calls the fed trading room in mariner eccles, call all our friends and tell them we are hitting the futures buy buy buy jim cramer button, get on board, shop and defeat the terrorists, buy stocks, save yourself. whatever. in the first instance (NYSE shut down) the foreign suckers sold the market, now the american buyers picked it up on the dip and they are taking profits, the shorts will stick their dick in the sausage grinder at the close today and we'll cut if off tomorrow, any questions?
China only runs on cash, dude.
And they have no shortage of dollars available....let alone all the other fiats on the rest of the Planet.

.... except for NFLX which is seeing stop runs based on some minor house or other throwing out another higher target price.
At least to me, it appears that the Fed has been more focused on keeping the uptrend going by disrupting any and all starts of downtrends. Or, at least interrupting any downtrend with a false rally or two.
The downside whippings will continue until any and all bears are so thoroughly confused and demoralized that they will throw in the towel.

Overall I think The Janet has the contagion contained.
I do not think she planned on having the market this weak at this point in time, so look for it to sneak back up. I get the feeling Greece has now been fully discounted. China - don't know about that one, I don't think the Chinese PTB have decided wtf they want to do about themselves yet.
