Bitcoin Soars By 10%: Does Someone Know Something?
Despite the exuberance in US and European equity markets, it appears Bitcoin is sending a different (avoid the looming capital controls) message... Does someone know something?
Bitcoin is soaring on heavy volume...

There is some seriously insane volume coming out of China in Litecoin more recently. Seems that they were bidding that up too.
Litecoin is pushed up with a desperate pump campaign, involving a litecoin ponzi scheme. That coin shows no real growth besides fabricated trading volume on $0 fee chinese exchanges (check the statistics of the litecoin blockchain).
It's best to stay away from the litecoin pump.
BTC is finishing it's rounded bottom and is headed back to its ATH. Faith is what keeps people in fiat and Bitcoin will be there to capitalize on the loss of it. Yeah, Yeah, btc won't be spendable if the power goes down, but that will be the least of your worries. In a power down scenario, only 10% survive one year... check out the DOD war games reports if you don't believe it.
Yes. I always wonder what the gold and silver horders would do if civilization ever went down the crapper. Pull out their 1oz silver coin and try to buy 15 loaves of bread with it? Physical money in any form would be almost meaningless in a SHTF situation. Holding it would probably get one killed.
No matter what the world throws at you it is best to be optimistic about the future. I see great social progress and a world of digital currency ahead of us.
And if the world goes to Hell I don't need a gun to protect my Bitcoins if I own the private keys!
If you find yourself in a situation where a gun is needed for protection from anything, the last fucking thing you will care about is your bitcoin that is floating somewhere out in the etherworld.
Great social progress? WTF? Have you read the news lately and not the spoon fed MSM version?
I am optimistic as well, but also realistic.
Bitcoin delusion all over this thread. It is just the new "Gold, bitches!" witih people having wet dreams of living large in the new Hunger Games world.
Your use of the word "hoarder" exposed you as a Bitcoin troll. Now kindly go fuck yourself.
Meat,
That or his Bitcoin icon. The reality is that waterheads like him hoard bitcoin just as much as others hoard guns, others hoard fiat, and yet others hoard drugs.

I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and realized that fiat currency may not be worth anything in a time of crisis.
Bitcoin doesn't do it for me. I can't get past, "if you don't hold it you don't own it." and digital things are way too ethereal for me.
If you don't hold the private keys then you don't own your bitcoin.
Research it more, bitcoin is digital gold. https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
And how do you know you're the only one holding those keys? One never can verify such a claim .. until your ledger entry is wiped out.
It does it just fine for me. To each his own.
As much as I dislike btc it's still one of the better indicators of crisis panic. PMs should be indicating this by an even greater degree but are suppressed.
The gold market will be liberated in the future using the bitcoin blockchain.
Exactly, physical gold and silver bars could all be represented by a bitcoin token and fully audited in real time and time stamped to prevent unallocated, rehypothecated securities.
Ironic that Bitcoin may end up being the best friend of the precious metals.
gold just doesn't do you much good if you want to get out of dodge
bitcoin is ideal for people on the move
Beg to differ, but you can mix a few pre 64 silver and a couple of gold coins in your pocket "leave Dodge" and exchange them pretty much anyplace on planet Earth without too much trouble. Try getting some veggies in a market in the middle of nowhere with some BC. Or, during a power outage.
Nothing wrong with some diversification. Not as if you use all that bugout gold while the lights are still on and the water is still running. Go ahead and use good ol' YellenBux if that floats your boat but there's an alternative if you look for it.
It would be wise, no matter your opnion of crypto, to keep an eye on where Bitcoin goes in the coming days. Like it, or hate it, it may be a marker for where things are going with the Greek EU saga and the American problem with The Puerto Rico problem
Everything is going according to plan. Muhahahaha!
not to worry, your bitcoins are as safe as
ten thousands angels dancing on the head of
a pin, sweet dreams and
good night lovely children.
Hey there, where were you when Bitcoin dropped from $1200 to $175? Thought so.
its just the greeks maxing out the bitcoin atm in Athens
I began to notice about 9 months ago that BC seemed to go up , when Gold and Silver should be going up (and actually went down when BC went up and vice versa). Might be a great solution. But I'm sorry I don't trust it.
Note. I doubled my money on run up 600 to $1000. But I haven't been back since. Although i admit I can't stop following it.
Will there ever be a time where people with goods ONLY accept bitcoin?
Will there ever be a time where people with goods ONLY accept REAL money?
Right now, theres only one answer, and the other is tulips.
If you want some food from me and you only have bitcoin to pay for it, you are going to be hungry.
Not a problem, you will have many competitors willing to trade for bitcoin. More food for you to eat, everybody wins.
Maybe it is the Greeks. What else have they got to loose at this point?
The fact is this: BTC is a real, hard commodity. It provides a float for all currencies, and will survive as long as encryption survives.
Show me a picture of your "real, hard commodity" and we will talk.
That statement has to be perhaps the funniest one of today.
Real as in cannot be counterfeit. Hard as in limited supply. And commodity is the best (although not perfect) word I use to describe how bitcoin is actually used in commercial transactions or as an investment.
BTC is just as real as a rock is real. The only reason it is valuable is because others say so. Just ... like ... fiat.
lol
because it's suppose to be new "gold" in western nwo ... insane banksters dream. It's fascinating how these idiots are sick in there minds. Remember you idiots: "power" & printing press <NOT EQUAL> logic
Sure, for some time now
Can an EMP, Gamma Ray burst, or grid hack dissolve PMs?
Can you buy a toaster at Overstock.com with an ounce of silver?
Is it time spike that imaginary Football now?
Download the Airbitz Wallet for Android and iOS. Bitcoin...be your own bank!
This is the way I see it. The criminals in power are using everything in their bag of tricks to destroy gold and silver, but they are doing nothing to destroy bitcoin. This tells me that gold and silver will always be the premier form of money.
Dude. I know something. But No Nobody listens to Q99X2. We are rich out of our fuckin mind joggin in the rain and being silly because yes we, the q99x2 are happy little creatures because we bought a shitload of bitcoin. A hiking we will go A hiking we will go Hi ho the dairy oh A hiking we will go. Arrest Lloyd Blankfein. Profit taking is such a hassle. but somebody's got to do it. I'm tired of buying gold. And you guys aint got no blue ovals my age.
In DC some time back, many politicians got together to discuss Bitcoin. Decided it was okay. Remember that?? Bitcoin was not at this meeting but Ripple labs was(and some former Bitcoin folks working for Ripple labs). XRP is the "coin's" handle. It is actually a multi currency converter digital payment measure, moreso than a cryptocoin. I decided I'd watch what they do and who's in the room. Disclosure: I have some BTC, I have some XRP. that is all.
I wouldn't buy that shit even if they get medieval with me. FU and your bitcoins robbers
Stop arguing and just get some Bitcoin!! Gold was illegal once upon a time in the USA and if it suits the higher-ups, it will be made illegal again! Bitcoin can be transfered and stored anyhwere in the world at the click of a button!!!!! You can't do that with gold.

"anywhere"
+1
Anywhere, and if bandwidth is up, anytime.
Yes, Satoshi does.
Since there are so many ZeroHedgers that go apoplectic by the very mention of Bitcoin - let me help you cough up your left lung by informing you of two (about to be launched) Bitcoin 2.0 technologies:
MaidSafe
Ethereum
Dis these at your own peril.
You are welcome.
I know.
Bitcoin is free market private money.
It resembles gold in that the money volume is outside the control of any money manager.
It has better money qualities than gold, so paper substitutes and bank deposits and loans are to a lesser degree necessary.
PM's could be embedded in hard to counterfeit notes making them portable and immediately verifiable, and eliminate counterparty risks.
I've never liked virtual anyting. Not a fan of bitcoin, you can virtually lose everyting.
What I did like was BitGold. New player in the field. You can take delivery of yoar metal if you wish, which is stored in a secure vault. They will be issuing debit cards for ATM dispensing fiat in the local currency of where you are.
So far I like what I see.
Take a look at Litecoin instead!! LOL move!! +100% in 4 days and now -55% in 12 hours!!
I can go down to the local coin, pawn or refiner and but actual metal and in quantity.
I tried to buy shitcoins and it's basically impossible. Too much hassle.
6000 years can't ever be wrong.
Bitcoin is so absurd it is really not worthy of mention.
JQC, people who think paper money is a dumb place to store value, don't seem at all worried about storing it in a bunch of imaginary 1's and 0's.
Oh, Scotty...
(I see that the perps have been able to rearrange those 1's and 0's to take control of US fighter jets ... How hard can coins be?)
Varoufakis explaining bitcoin in documentary from Greece??
What is this sorcery?!

most effective method to kill fractional banking and some zero hedge members just don;t get it !
I've seen many XBT bubbles, here we go again! One thing is for sure, there are people making money on the new fish. Same as it ever was.
I knew XBT was destined for failure based on several factors, but probably the most prominent is the push for a cashless society. That means the government plans to roll out some sort of digital currency, and it definitely won't be Bitcoin. Adios muchachos ..
