How The World Works - The Santelligram

Tyler Durden's picture

Rick Santelli recently unleashed his own brand of truthiness on an unsuspecting CNBC audience, that, just like in China, "the central planners are in control" in Japan, Europe, and most of all America. As part of the 3 minutes of lack-of-free-market despair, Santelli drew what we called "the chart of the year." By popular request, it is reproduced below...

The world has change through time...

Source: @Not_Jim_Cramer

As one bright trader (@Chart_Gazer) noted:

1. Capitalism

2. Socialism

3. Communism

So the next time someone throws the "free-market capitalism" bull$hit around, show them this chart and ask them how the US (and European, and Japanese, and Chinese) markets are any different from (3).

... "ask them how the US (and European, and Japanese, and Chinese) markets are any different from (3)."

... according to the 'Marinating Spy' ... aka and anagram for 'Praying Mantis', you might spot some differences ...

Imperialism: You have two cows. You painted both with stars and stripes and you let them loose in your neighbours vegetable patch causing extreme havoc.

Communism: you have two cows. The government takes both and gives you the milk.

Tyrannism: You have two cows. The government tortures both, skins both alive, and hits you on the head with the bones to keep you quiet.

Socialism: You have two cows. You give one to your neighbor and gave them your vet's telephone for free health care privileges.

Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes both and sells the milk.

Nazism: You have two cows. The government takes both and shoots you and your whole family.

Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

Feudalism: You have two cows. The Nobles takes both, orders you to milk them and you bathe the nobles with milk.

Libertarianism: You have two cows. The government takes both, releases them because they believe liberty is of the highest value.

Racism: You have two cows. The government takes both and then deports you because you're non-white and you did exactly the same thing similar to what the early european and british settlers did.

Buereaucratism: You have two cows. The government takes both, milks both, shoots one, then pours the milk down the drain.

Intellectualism: You have two cows. And you reasoned with government inspectors that you are keeping and studying them because you believe that all knowledge is derived from reason.

Statism: You have two cows. You want to set them free, however, you also believe you need permission from the state to be free to set them free.

Academicism: You have two cows. You study them both and came to the conclusion that nothing can be known.

Legalism: You have two cows. The government takes both because you let them roam around the city without a legal license or permit.

Absolutism: You have two cows. The government takes both just because they claim they rule.

Conservatism: You have two cows and keep them both in their usual state to maintain political and social traditions.

Humanitarianism: You have two cows. You slaughter both and feeds them to the poor people to improve human welfare.

Mutualism: You have two cows. You give one to your neighbour and you tell them about the mutual dependence of society.

Instrumentalism: You have two cows. You have the idea that both are instruments of action.

Anarchism: You have two cows.  You sell both and finance an activist movement because you believe that all governments should be abolished.

Totemism: You have two cows. You keep both because you believe you have a special kinship with the animals.

Immoralism: You have two cows.  The government takes both and paints them with rainbow colours.

Alatovkrapism: Two cows is you have. One died. Is how many left. None. Other cow went funeral.

Zerohedgeism: You have two cows. You have the opinion that on a long enough timeline, the survival rate of both drops to zero.

Comrade Unit:

... "I definitely DO NOT comprehend the positive nature of sending gunboats to seize other people's islands."

... well, you must've forgotten about these list of islands ... see if you can comprehend a little bit while I remind you of some of these "seized" islands ...

"American" Samoa; Guam; Northern Mariana Islands; Puerto Pobre ... sorry, Puerto Rico; Virgin Islands; Baker Island; Howland Island; Jarvis Island; Johnston Atoll; Kingman Reef; Midway Atoll; Navassa Island; Wake Island; Diego Garcia ... how in the world that the USSA suddenly became "owners" of these islands?

... and while you're checking these islands out ... read up the "real" history on how the USSA "acquired" the above list of unincorporated territories/islands as well as these ones which were "incorporated" as a state or set free as independent nations ... Hawaii (perhaps the rightful owners ... islanders and their king kamehameha ... weren't too happy of the gunboat diplomacy they'd experienced), Panama Canal Zone (which is now owned by a Chinese, btw), Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Philippines & Palau.

... now, if you're referring to the Spratly's which btw happen to be uninhabited atolls in "international waters" ... (which means no rightful owners) ... then you definitely wouldn't comprehend that these atolls are not "other people's islands". And if you're paying attention, (which I doubt), these Spratly Islands (a disputed group of more than 750 reefs, islets, atolls, cays and islands in the South China Sea) are claimed by China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Taiwan and my uncle who wish to remain anonymous. So, who are these "other people", you refer to, these islands were seized from? It must've been that China today happens to be the biggest bully in the area much like how the USSA has been bullying other smaller countries in the world ... think Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Vietnam, North Korea, etc ... or you are just possibly pissed because the USSA weren't able to get to the Spratlys first ....

I'm not so sure.  I think the "game changer" for the central planners/statists/control freaks really kicked into high gear with the internet.  The NSA could never have done what they did on so vast a scale without:  1. Everything in our lives being stored digitally  2.  Ease of accessing/moving that data around quickly and 3. Massive computing power to sift through it at will.

And the NSA surveillance program is just one example.  There are many more.  I'm old enough to remember a world where only the largest government agencies and private companies could afford a computer (a mainframe that has less computing power than an average laptop does today and programming it took weeks/months/years).  It was VERY different back then.  Even when stand-alone PCs became commonplace (1980s)  they didn't have that much impact.  It was only when the Internet came along and it's use became widespread that you could FEEL the pace of change accelerate past what most human beings could keep up with or comprehend.

At first it felt like the Internet might "democratize" the world, giving voice to the voiceless.  But after a while some people began to see the darker side.

That the internet was Invented by the US DOD (despite what Al Gore may claim) should probably come as no surprise to anyone.

Getting licensed at the racetrack on simulcast day - where I had not been for years & years, I laughed each time I passed the window at the end of the row -> the only one w a clerk behind it- a sign in large letters read IRS Window, tickets may be bought here, or something like that. Eventually I asked a ticket tender of something what it meant. I couldn't believe the IRS had a window at the track, wtf. [Probably since the purchasing of overseas items and the state taxes you  instantaneously whereas previously they never knew unless you filed] that said. If your takeout is over a certain amount you have to go to the window and they hand you the papers to file. I saw some handicappers walking up to it and I have to say their heads hung low. Very amazed at the whole thing. Digital.

I agree with that sentiment and perhaps it is a double edged sword then.  I think the internet is what is pulling back the curtain.  So it is a race between them and us.  Too bad they are always one step ahead.

Central planning may have ramped up lately to due to processing speeds but you can go back to the beginning of the infiltration of the catholic church, shortly after it was founded, by the cabalists and see that everything has always been manipulated by them.  Lately we call it by many names, neoliberal, imperialism, colonialism, neoconservative, monarchy, socialism, communism, capitalism, etc etc etc.  It is always the same in the end, central planning.

The NSA is just one more tool in the toolbox.

You make is sound inevitable (common propaganda technique, fyi) when your first paragraph calls it - they are always one step ahead.  We do not need the internet for them to fail.  We need to not play along and run the course that they lay out in front of as since they are going before use.

Reject them and their tech.  Don't play their game.  That is the key.  Live a simpler life with simpler friends and a closer community.  That is the best defense against them.

The big diagram eats the littler diagrams? Yeah nature knows how that works. All you punks still scratching your asses wondering how this works, you are beign digested as you sit there. Hey and guess what, when you are reduced to molecules you won't know it.

They call it an event horizon. It's a phase change. All information is reduced to atoms -- reset -- start over. Even the memory of having been anything but atoms, is atoms.

Did you know we're done this dance 13 times already? Did you know we done this dance 12 times before the last ice age? No? You didn't know that? Well now you know why you don't know that.

Wrong. 1 is not capitalism. The instant, the very instant, you have anyone who can unilaterally act on the market from outside the market, you do not and cannot have capitalism. Market entities can never compete against non-market forces. So they don't - they just join together in ever larger units coupled ever more closely with the state until you get corporatism, fascism, socialism, communism, etc. depending on irrelevant specific configuration details and degree of private-public integration.

Monday, the world was coming unhinged. Greece finally getting kicked out, or leaving, what have you.
China crashing hard.
NYSE goes down. Market collapsing before our eyes. This is IT!

Friday. Itsall good. Green arrows everywhere. They fixed it. Even Greece is getting a payday loan.

WTF??!!

It seems wrong to separate communism from socialism. The former is a mere subproduct of the latter, in the same way that socialism produced other stuff like fascism, corporatism, maoism, and so on.

Also, not sure about why there would be two separate bubbles for politics and central planning.

Anyway, great chart for those who need some simplicity. I like Santelli for his reach to mass audiences.

When you talk about 'isms" most of what you will get is someone's propaganda.

This is because most people worship them as religions.

They don't study "isms" with academic interest, they study them with emotion for the purpose of identifying and reinforcing their conception of Hell, and Satan, and to identify and reinforce their conception of God, and heaven.

The guy who gives you a dry description...may or may not have an agenda, but he's at least engaging your reason...giving you the freedom to disagree.

Most of the rest are just preaching their religion.

Why is it such a surprise that Communism and Catholocism have managed to merge so well in so many areas in the form of so-called 'Liberation Theology'?

It has nothing to do with engaging your reason, only in preaching to you to give you a ready-made 'Satan' who is to blame for all your troubles, and a ready-made 'God' who is the source of everything good that you are missing only because of that first guy.

They excuse your short-comings, and give you a scape-goat...and tell you you'd be good to engage in destruction...

It is a religion (amongst many)  designed purely to incite destruction.

The so-called teaparty got legs on September 12th 2009. That's the day when one of the biggest crowds in U.S. political history filled the streets and the mall around the capitol bldg in Washington D.c.

It was a huge crowd and in the event itself, its gathering was pointedly ignored by all media. Media-wise, it's as if what happened on 9-12-09 never happened. GlennBeck started the promotion calling for a return to the attitude U.S. citizens had toward one-another for a day or two following the NYC 9-11 attacks. Freedomworks joined in Beck's promotion and then Rick Santelli did a rant about the Boston Tea Party. Most of the impetus (I believe) came from the big Democrat Political Party push to pass the Obamacare legislation.

My wife told me about what Beck was promoting. I wanted to see what would happen. I drove into Alexandria on Thursday, September 10th and got a room. Saturday morn, I drove to a Metrorail station. All the parking lots were full at 5am. The station was jam-packed. When I caught a train it was SRO in every car. The train arrived in DC on Pennsylvania Ave, about a mile away from the Capitol. When the escalator brought me up into the daylight all I could see were PEOPLE--a huge crowd of people spread out in every direction. It was exhilarating. The first impression I had was, "This is what it looks like when the good LORD makes a move in the life of his people." I'm glad I got to see it in person.

The 9-12-09 event is hardly mentioned these days but I'm sure the memory of it is strong in the minds of a certain kind of man and woman--some for Good & some for Evil. It was a totally unexpected gathering. From the PA equipment the promoters had rented, it looked as though they had expected 15-20 thousand, tops. Not much attention was paid to the "speakers" anyway; we were all fascinated with just being there, experiencing the sense of possibility.  Had the intent been present in that crowd, the entire edifice of Washington D.C. might have been reduced to rubble.

On THAT day it was a peaceful crowd. Goodwill was evident everywhere throughout. If a crowd like that gathers again, there's no telling what might happen. Those in leadership positions today have no understanding. Two men can do 4 times the work of one man.

LOL - and next time some free market capitalist blames 'communism' for the demise of his market forces - then throw him a copy of Das Kapital and make him read it.

The END of Capitalism is brought about by it's own forces, communism is merely what replaces it in order to maintain some sort of stability.

The alternative is we start cutting each others heads off for a quick buck.

Santelli is naive and his charts are pure hogwash. For one the central planners, if by which you mean the bankers are not even a part of the graph. They are a parasite which lives off of the graph and the fact that they now equal the graph shows how near to the demise of the economy we are. The political part of the graph has been anethesized to believe the central planners are part of the economy that must be protected at all costs, even to the death of the economy and destruction of the political. Every service the bankers provide at a profit for themselves and increased political control for themselves can be provided as a public service for the cost of doing business with only the public's interest and the econmy in mind. The bankers are not a part of the economy they simply live off of the economy by trickery as a parasite does its host.

You have two cows which you use as collateral at a commercial bank for a compounding interest loan to buy a farm to put your cows on but the debt is too much as asset inflation makes the farm too expensive to turn a profit so the bank forecloses and gets everything, cows farm, all means of production and eventually your servitude as a debt peon if you ever want to eat again. And Santelli calls it central planning?

Interesting graph to consider,

but, old-fashioned stupidity:

1. Capitalism

2. Socialism

3. Communism

Those sorts of old-fashioned labels are deliberately misleading, and anyone who uses those sorts of labels is engaging in superficial analysis, which then results in them proposing bogus "solutions" that are similarly superficial. There is only one energy, and only one system. Human beings operate as entropic pumps of energy flows, which most closely matched the principles and methods of organized crime. The biggest forms of organized crime are governments, which are controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, which are currently the banksters. The rise of "central planning" is due to the rise of the power of the international banksters to control national governments.

However, it is politically impossible to get out of the deepening ruts created by that situation that there is almost nothing but a core of organized crime surrounded by controlled opposition groups. Anyone who thinks that Sentelli chart can be adequately labeled as going through the stages of "capitalism" to "socialism" to "communism" is NOT "bright," but rather they are controlled opposition, that is operating inside of these observations, which were previously made by Cognitive Dissonance on Zero Hedge: "The absolute best controlled opposition is one that doesn't know they are controlled."

All of the old-fashioned labels for political economy phenomena are based on mistakenly presuming that there are basic dualities, or based upon presuming upon false fundamental dichotomies, with their related impossible ideals. The most extremely abstract form of that was that an arbitrary minus sign was inserted into the entropy equations of thermodynamics and information theory, so that the measurements of power and information would end up being relative positive numbers, rather than relative negative numbers. That was done so that the philosophy of science would remain consistent with the biggest bullies' bullshit world views. Those views are illustrated by the assertion of false fundamental dichotomies between "organized crime versus governments," when actually governments are the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangsters, the banksters.

"Central planning" only exists and is possible because central banks exist, inside the overall context whereby privately controlled banks are legally allowed to make the public "money" supply out of nothing as debts for everyone else, while governments enforce those frauds. The rise of "central planning" is the relative rise of the dominance of the banksters over all aspects of the political processes. However, there are double whammy paradoxes presented by those social facts. The FIRST is that the vast majority of people to do not want to understand that the biggest banks are are the greatest gangsters. The SECOND is that even amongst the few that do recognize those facts, those groups also continue to be dominated by controlled opposition, that wants to promote bogus "solutions," based upon stopping governments from being the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by best organized gangs of criminals. Those impossible ideals always backfire badly and cause the opposite to happen in the real world, because they are actually being promoted by controlled opposition, that tends to not recognize that it is being controlled due to the language that it uses, and the philosophical presumptions that it continues to take for granted.

That is what is happening through the insights presented by Santelli, as well as the summation labels applies to his chart. However, one can almost totally take for granted that the controlled opposition groups will continue to be controlled. But nevertheless, I will repeat that what Santelli is actually pointing out is how civilization is controlled by the methods of organized crime, and that the rise of "central planning" is the relative rise of the greater triumphantly dominate organized crime, which includes greater degrees of being able to continue to control the layers of apparent public opposition around that core of organized crime.

Human beings and civilizations operate as entropic pumps of energy flows, which deliberately misperceive the concept of entropy in the most backward ways possible, which match that social successfulness was historically based upon backing up deceits with destruction, that morphed into enforcing frauds. The monetary policies of "central planning" are due to the ways that the public monetary system has become based on fundamentally fraudulent financial accounting systems. However, while most people do not understand that, because they have been conditioned to not want to understand that, the few that do somewhat understand that STILL BASICALLY GET IT ALL ABSURDLY BACKWARDS, and therefore, use bullshit labels like "capitalism" socialism" and "communist" in order to continue to misunderstand that, and also to continue to promote absurdly backward "solutions" to those problems.

Nothing actually exists other than the dynamic equilibria between different systems of organized lies, operating robberies. Those are becoming extremely unbalanced due to the degree that the vicious spirals between the monetary systems and the funding of the political processes have become so totally lopsided, to result in there now being almost nothing but a core of organized crime, surrounded by controlled opposition groups, mostly in the sense of "controlled opposition" that I referred to above. That kind of "controlled opposition" in some serious ways is worse than the core of organized crime, because they are more deliberately and obstinately stupid, so that it is not possible for them to go through and THROUGH the deeper levels of analysis in order to comprehend what "central planning" actually is, namely, the relative runaway triumph and dominance of the best organized crimes, which are not effectively resisted because they do not have an genuine opposition to provide better organized crimes.

The most alarming of those trends was summarized in this article: Pentagon Concludes America Not Safe Unless It Conquers The World The international banksters have more and more captured control over the government of the USA. Therefore, what the Pentagon actually does is advance the agenda of the international banksters. What the "NeoConservative" agenda amounts to is the endeavour to consolidate the global hegemony of the international banksters over the world's monetary systems, which would be continued hegemony over the world's natural resources. The USA and NATO, which is primarily under the Anglo-American (Zionist) Empire, is the expression of the best organized gangs of criminals controlling the biggest governments, to direct those governments to behave as the biggest forms of organized crime.

The tragic trajectory we are on is that there continues to be almost nothing which is publicly significant to resist that but various forms of controlled opposition. Meanwhile, the contradictions of progress in physical science, without surpassing progress in political science, continue to get bigger and BIGGER. The primary problem is that the core of organized crime engaged in "central planning" has become way too successful in also controlling the only publicly significant opposition. Therefore, we get the superficial "truthiness" of Santelli, matched by that being interpreted with the "truthiness" of old-fashioned labels.

The magnitude of the problems can be summarized as that we are taught to perceive all political problems in the most absurdly backward ways possible, due to the biggest bullies' bullshit world views almost totally dominating society for generation after generation. Hence, not only is the existing "central planning" the result of triumphant centrally controlled organized crime, exerting integrated control over national governments, while most people do not see that at all, but also, those few that do somewhat see that continue to perceive it in absurdly backward ways, and therefore, continue to promote absurdly backward "solutions" to those political problems.

Human beings are somewhat scientifically understood as being entropic pumps of energy flows. There have been profound paradigm shifts in physical science that have been applied to enable prodigious progress in technology. However, there has not been allowed to occur anything like that in political science, because the general understanding of time and space, and therefore of entropy, of the overwhelming vast majority of people continues to be as absurdly backwards as possible, in order to enable the biggest gangsters, the banksters, to continue to control the opposition, while those banksters advance their agenda to control the world by enforcing frauds.

The greater long term tragedies are that enforcing frauds in every short-term, or medium term increment, can make those become socially successful and dominant, but still, in the longer term, enforcing frauds never stops those frauds from still being false. That is essential dilemma with so-called "central planning" based on being able to back up legalized lies with legalized violence ... In the end, the society as a whole becomes more psychotic and criminally insane, the more dominate the banksters become, through carrying through "central planning," based on them being able to continue to control national governments to enforce the banksters' frauds.

The problem is NOT "planning," but rather the planning based on being able to enforce frauds, which works all too well in the shorter to medium term, but worse and worse in the longer term. However, since the controlled opposition tends to be adamant political idiots, that continue to want to believe in their own preferred bullshit, and thus, to continue to spout their stupid superficial labels to refer to the political problems that we face, there appears to be no reasonable doubt that the only ways that things can actually change is by events eventually driving through their own mad self-destruction, due to the paradoxes of final failure from too much success at enforcing frauds, as the currently existing kinds of "central planning" become more psychotic overall ...
