Citizens of the world should unite and demand that ALL central planners resign.  The very concept of central planners being given enormous amounts of power without even being elected by the people, invites corruption in all its ugly forms, and is evil in the extreme.

I would agree with your sentiments.

Problem is most of humanity are spending all their lives just struggling to stay alive, next comes the more privileged in the so-called developed world, most of whom are totally distracted by the MSM and consumerism.

Doesn't leave enough, who see what's going on, to do a great deal about it, other than bitch.

My approach is to avoid the game as much as possible.

No TV, No car, no cellphone, no debt, no bank account (credit union)

Vote with your wallet, it's the only vote that's listened to.

This wasn't supposed to be televised just yet. A few weeks ago there was that GS report stating that a change in Greek government was a necessary step in the debt negotiations and here's the IMF right on cue apparently repeating the same guff. Occasionally, the BBC and Fox get the timing of their script reading wrong I suppose.

Time was a news outfit paid a price, usually a loss of a little respect by it's viewers, for a blatent error like Fox made.

But the times they are a changing.

Today the followers of a news channel like Fox get hard and/or drippin' when they get a false news item reinforcing their and the Phox Philosophy.

A couple of hours or days later, when they hear the truth, they don't get sore at the blonde titicacas who read the false rumors to them.

They get mad at the subject of the rumor for not abiding by it.

@zerohedge they are right. IMF proposed a govt of "experts" to handle the new agreement

5:46 PM - 12 Jul 2015  Should read, "a panel of experts"...  Technocracy bitchez.... (Aldous Huxley was big into the Technocracy movement until he realized where it was going prior to writing, "Brave New World" There were a number of futuristic dystopia writers in the teens and twentys of the past century that were previously Technocrats in the Technocracy movement. Under Price System operation and control, it is becoming increasingly difficult, in accordance with the accepted rules of the game, to maintain industrial operation within the limits of social tolerance. The operating characteristics of industry, when at its best under a Price System control, are still inefficient. Attention is called to the fact that business is engaged, not primarily in the making of goods, but in the making of money. If in the course of making money the manufacture of goods happens to be indulged in, to the businessman that is a mere incident rather than a matter of primary importance. From a social point of view, however, the only matter of consequence is the fact that somehow or other in the process, goods are manufactured and distributed for human needs. It is the Price System itself and not the individual human being that is at fault. In this system, human beings are obliged to act in accordance with its dictates with rather sorry results. Consequently, no amount of doctoring of symptoms while leaving the fundamental causes of the disease intact will be of any appreciable avail. One does not eliminate bootlegging while prohibition in conjunction with a thirsty public exists; thereby, bootleggers are created. Abolish prohibition and bootleggers largely disappear. One does not abolish or prevent war by pacifistic speeches, or by other means either, so long as foreign trade and the manufacture of munitions of war remain profitable. Neither does one abolish disease while poverty, malnutrition and other disease-breeding conditions continue unaltered, nor so long as the economic well-being of the medical profession depends upon the prevalence of disease in profitable amounts. Nor is crime (including illicit drugs) ever abolished, either by coercive measures administered by officials whose activities are only slightly, if any, less socially objectionable than those whom they seek to suppress, or by any amount of moralistic railing or inculcation of doctrines of "brotherly love" so long as there continues to be offered a standing reward to all those who w i l l " v i ct i m i z e " s o c i e t y successfully. Granted the offer of the reward, socially objectionable a c t i v i t i e s f o l l o w a s a consequence; withdraw the reward and these activities automatically disappear. It is the Price System itself — the rules

with an economy of less than 250B, which might mean 50B in tax revenues(?), outstanding debt of 350B (at 4% is 14B in interest expense)...you just cant get there from here.

default, agree to pay 30cents, rates of 10% on 10yr bonds, cut spending to balance the budget.  to do the same thing over and over and hope for a different outcome is....

If it is not a "mistake" how could the Fox report be an "error"? It can only be an error if it was a mistake.

My guess is that Fox received a report that the IMF made q request asking for the Greek PM to step down. Fox's source either made it up whole cloth or it is based on an actual request by the IMF. I'm leaning toward the latter. Mostly likely, if the IMF made the request, they would have made such a request using vague language through unofficial channels to give them deniability. They would have to know the likely consequence should such a request become public.

Isn't this what propaganda in the 21st century is?

First, the IMF asks Tsipras to resign.  Then the IMF denies having done so.  But the story lingers on.

50% of American news junkies see this as confirmation that Tsipras is part of the problem; the other 50% don't believe it's true, but their confidence in him is shaken.

Of 50 Tsipras detractors none become his supporters because of the Fox error.  And of every 50 Tsipras supporters, this rumor may join  other doubts about Tsipras and lose him some support.

That the 'no' vote in the referendum got 62% is lost on both his friends and foes.

Don't laugh, our Congress already did this to the American people, here is a direct quote from the legislation:

Introduced in Senate (12/04/2014)

Requires the Department of the Interior to establish within the Empowering Insular Communities activity a team of technical, policy, and financial experts to: (1) develop an energy action plan addressing the energy needs of each of the insular areas (American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands) and Freely Associated States (Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and Palau); and (2) assist each of the insular areas and Freely Associated States in implementing the plan.

Requires the plan to include: (1) recommendations to reduce reliance and expenditures on fuel shipped to the insular areas and Freely Associated States from ports outside the United States, to develop and utilize domestic fuel energy sources, and to improve performance of energy infrastructure and overall energy efficiency; (2) a schedule for implementation of the recommendations and identification and prioritization of specific projects; (3) a financial and engineering plan for implementing and sustaining projects; and (4) benchmarks for measuring progress toward implementation.

Requires Interior to approve the plan before it is implemented.

Extends the federal immigration law transition period for the Northern Mariana Islands through December 31, 2019, including the annual reduction of nonimmigrant workers who may be admitted during such period.
